Paramount - Downtown Birmingham

My first impression was that this place was amazing! The food is fulfilling and delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful, and it's in the heart of downtown Birmingham so the city vibe was phenomenal! They also have an arcade room. It's the best of both worlds and I highly recommend for a fun outing!

Loved it!! This was the perfect spot for our family while we were in town. We did a late lunch so it wasn't too crowded. We had the risotto jalape?o bites to start, I had a burger, our daughter the grilled cheese and my husband the salt and vinegar wings. Everything was really good?loved their wings! We also enjoyed the arcade in the back!! The kids had a great time while I loved the pinball machines.

I loved the ambience at this place. The burger was pretty good but I definitely wasn't a fan of the chili dog. I guess I expected the chili to be better. I also was not a fan of the onion rings. Nice place but the food just wasn't for my taste

Tight spot, but good food and fun games. Fries, the southern burger and triple threat are all delicious. Kid friendly, no changing table, but clean bathrooms. Recommend!

Our burgers were perfectly cooked and absolutely fabulous. So much fun playing in the arcade. Going home with goodies from the claw machine and leftovers. The bartender comes back and gives you personal service while you play??

We were on a weekend trip and randomly decided to drop in for dinner. Glad we did. This place was awesome. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, they have several local beers on tap and the food was top notch for a burger and fries place! I recommend getting the Paramount burger! However I do not recommend an appetizer before unless you want to take one home!

The food is excellent and the kids had a great time in the game room! The sandwiches were huge and great, but the best thing was the onion rings. Thick, not greasy and super crunchy to the last one. Fantastic!

Neat little bar/grill in downtown Birmingham that has an adjacent arcade. Food was great and service was friendly. We had Bailey for our waitress and she was very insightful in recommending the boiled peanut Hummus, which was delicious! Family friendly atmosphere with good eclectic vibe.

I rarely give all five all 5's, but I really enjoyed this place. Quirky 50's style vibe with car wheels and large pictures on the walls. Good food, reminiscent of drive-in food. Good selection of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Prices were good. Nothing to complain about!

Had a really good lunch and a complete of beers here. Staff was friendly and quick. They had a nice selection of draft beers but we're out of a few things. (that's just the way it goes, usually) Just chilled for awhile and didn't feel rushed. Our waiter checked in regularly and we were never waiting on a beer. Stopped here on our trip out west and visited with a niece. It was a neat place, the food was good - we all had various types of burgers and everyone enjoyed them. The atmosphere was nice though the music was louder than I would have liked. But no problem really. They forgot our onion ring order but when we saw the burgers and fries we decided we could do without them.

The Paramount Burger is amazing. The Cheese and Crackers appetizer is the way to go. The service is excellent. The pinball machines are as fun as ever. Had a blast with the wife. All around great place to hang out, have a beer and play some games.

Staff were all super nice, and Katie who waited on me was awesome. Burger was epic, almost ordered a second. However, after taking down a basket of fries, dunked in incredible garlic mayo, I was pretty full. Highly recommend. Is it odd to say their beef tasted more beefy (in a good way) than most?

Our first time to Paramount and it was fantastic! We tried the ?Great Balls of Fire? as an app and had drinks. App was delicious. Hannah and Bethany at the bar were awesome, had a minor confusion with the drink order and didn't even have to ask for it be fixed, they did so as soon as they realized! We will be back again during this trip and in the future!

The food was so delicious. Didn't take long, many folks were here to watch college football. They have 7 tvs for many games. They have a game room with great games. Games that I remember playing as a little kid back then. Downtown area, so you can walk around after your done drinking or eating.

Nice staff and the chicken sandwich waa yummy. Although there is a decent selection of pinball, these card systems just seem shady to me... especially when there is an ATM right there. Stupid me, but I could have played a few more games between the ATM charge then realizing I had to put that money in the card kiosk to buy a card. Looking for a reasonably priced meal after an 8 hour train ride....food was great. I got the Southern Burger with fried onions...burger was delicious and the pimento cheese had a little kick. I was not impressed with the menu so we only ordered one appetizer. The beer selection was great and our server suggested a cocktail that I really enjoyed. It was a lemon martini with a twist. She suggested that I add strawberry pur?e.

This is a cute vibe! The burger was 4 stars. My waitress was absolutely 5 stars! This would be a cute place for people with children as the arcade looked pretty big!!

This place has really gone downhill. It literally smelled like a sewer inside, the food was mediocre at best, and the games are too expensive. $1 for a game of skee-ball? I used to enjoy going here but I doubt we'll be back. The smell was awful.

A pretty cool downtown hangout, good bar, food, good beer, and some video games for entertainment. Attracts a fun crowd, services pretty good, parking can be tough, but overall a pretty good watering hole for a sandwich and some fun.

This is an awesome place for good beer, solid and creative food, and a cool and fun atmosphere. Great beer selection, and the food offered many salads, sandwiches, excellent and creative wings, and gourmet burgers. There is an in a room to the side at this place, complete with classic arcade games and pinball machines. So much fun and perfect for families!

The burgers were great! The sauce with the fries was good. Get double of that. Service was prompt, not overly friendly but they were very busy.

Came in on Saturday evening to watch the NBA game. Sat at the bar and got no service at all. Sat next to a gentleman whom the bartender acknowledged, but never said anything to me referencing if I wanted to order, welcoming me, nothing.

What a great burger place. Nothing too fancy here but the food is sure delicious. I got the Forester burger which comes with sauteed mushrooms, garlic mayo, crispy onions and melted swiss cheese. It was juicy and flavorful. I paired with big fat pieces of onion rings, which are really "rings" but just thick slices of battered and fried onions. More like "onion home fries", which I think I now prefer over the old fashioned pedestrian onion rings.

This is my favorite restaurant. I wish I didn't live so far away or I would go here all the time! My favorite meal is the El Capitan as a hot dog and the sweet potato fries! 10/10 would recommend!

It's a decent burger place. The arcade section is small and mostly old pinball games. Fun for a few minutes. Food is decent. Not as good as I remembered it.

We feel safe dining here. They provided outdoor seatings. Food was great as always. We went there around 5pm on Tuesday, not busy. Service was quick. Staff were helpful. Sad that we could not play the arcades. We enjoyed the ambiance. Will remember this place for the future date night :)

Great place for a fun night with friends! Not too busy on a Wednesday night for happy hour. Ordered The Three Hander sandwich, The Standard burger, and a basket of fries to share. Burger was good, fries were excellent, and the Three Hander was a treat--only thing that would have made it better was more of everything inside to help it truly live up to its name!

Just stopped for lunch in Montgomery at the Paramount Bar and it was delicious! The menu is a little small, but the choices they have are great. The burgers are to die for and I'm sure we'll be back to try their dogs. Around the back, there are some awesome old school video games where some of which are free tho play! (Others are 0.25$). The grilled cheese and tomato soup is out of this world delicious. They have good beer specials during football games, but order 2 pitchers not just one. Get there early before football games because people stay to watch.

We had a fun time at Paramount after a Barons game. The restaurant was packed, but we were able to pass our wait time playing games in the arcade area. The service was good. Everyone who had burgers and wings loved them. They said the fries were awesome. I had a Greek salad with chicken. It was a bit bland and the chicken was just ok. I've been to Paramount a few times, and it always leaves a good taste in my mouth (literally and metaphorically *wink wink*). I most recently visited with my mom for dinner and we sat at the bar. I got the southern burger with sweet potato fries and a beer. My mom just snacked on some french fries. Our bartender was friendly and attentive! I love visiting whenever I get the chance.

The complete package for an outstanding downtown dining experience. A full bar, game room, and local delicacies such as pimento cheese and boiled peanut humus are all complemented by gourmet burgers and hot dogs. Service is always good, and the view isn't too bad.

Great place for a burger and a hang. Four of us dining and everyone got a different burger. All were excellent. Onion Rings are fantastic, I highly recommend. Arcade games in the back are pretty cool and have a nice retro feel. Including multiple pinball machines and ski ball. Only drawback was the music was kinda loud so we had a hard time hearing each other and our server. Over all though, I'll definitely go back.

I didn't drink or eat; only played pinball. The machines were awesome, and in great shape, but the WrestleMania *and* the skee-ball both took quarters without giving credits, so we lost $2.00 in the process. All the pins are $1.00, which makes sense for newer pins like Aerosmith, but not as much for older pins like Wrestlemania and Game of Thrones.

Drop by the Paramount and have a Coke,Drink,or Beer or Water & a Bite as you'll be glad you did.

Family night out and the grandkids chose this place, for the Arcade of course. I grabbed a table for the rest of us and ordered several appies , beer and drinks. Food is delish but table service was slow - apparently we were invisible. But after a $300 tab plus tip our popularity seemed to grow. The wings literally FELL off the bone, and the bbq flavor was FANTASTIC. I also enjoyed the rosemary fries, though I would've never thought to pair them with mayo. Go figure. Can't really understand why we had to order fries separately from our wing order. As it was my first trip had it not been for the person I was with my wings would've been lukewarm waiting on fries. Also when greeted was not offered the option to sit outside but within moments the very next group to walk in was. Found that curious. But

So I got the so fries which came with fries, corn beef, marinated tomatoes, chives, an creamy goat cheese. However I added my own flavor with bacon, jalapeno, and blue cheese crumbs. Great place to relax, have some delicious beer, watch whatever event is on TV, eat some deliciously greasy food, and throwback to childhood with the arcade games. The arcade is going to cost you though, every game is a dollar no matter how old it is. Still worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a laid back good time.

I'm sorry to say I have no picture to share of my food because it was just that freaking good. Burger was phenom. Onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. Everyone working there was so friendly. And they have a workweek special that's a steal - essentially 14 for a burger, side, and drink. Definitely recommend.

Their burgers are some of my favorites, the Southern is so good with that pimento and the standard's horsey is just yum, we also can't get enough of that garlicky mayo for the fries. We love coming here! We sat outside because it was a gorgeous day and the kiddos love the arcade in the back. One of our fave places to go for the last couple years!
