Paradise Lanes Entertainment Center

Paradise Lanes Entertainment Center

Reviews Summary

The reviews present a mixed consensus. Many praise the fun atmosphere, family-friendly environment, and good food, with some highlighting excellent staff service. However, frequent complaints cite understaffing, rude employees, malfunctioning equipment, and declining quality under new management. High prices and inconsistent policies (like removed amenities) frustrate repeat customers. While some experiences are stellar (birthday parties, accommodating staff), others are marred by long waits, poor service, and unmet expectations. Cleanliness and maintenance issues also surface, particularly in the bowling areas. Overall, enjoyment seems highly dependent on staff interactions and operational conditions during visits.

Customer Reviews

We called in advance to get lane reservation for my daughter?s bf?s birthday and they gladly accommodated. The place was clean, bright and recently updated. When we got there the lane was reserved and ready (with a welcome sign) for us. Everyone we came across with from the server to the front desk team member were really nice and helpful. Aaron even extended our time as we are almost halfway to the 3rd game when we ran out of time and didn't charge us extra. Towards the end he personally hand us a thank yo

I went here a few weeks back for a friend's birthday party. When we got in they gave us bowling shoes according to our sizes. Then we went to the alley where we just put our names into a machine and started playing, and there are bumpers but we didn't use them. Soon our food came and it was very good. After we were finished we went to the arcade in the building which has a cool Halo arcade machine.

Small nice people very clean very organized just the prices are just a little high when you're having too much fun. Love the drinks and the food.

Great family fun. Excellent arcade. My autistic son had a wonderful time bowling for the first time. Food only available in the evening; don't plan for food or drink till around 4-5pm.

Great family friendly place to enjoy! The staff were so kind and friendly. The gentleman with the handlebar mustache and lady with glasses working the desk were so kind and helpful. The name on the reservation sign at the lane was a nice touch too. great atmosphere, music, and fun. It seems like everyone else on the other lanes was having a great time too. Pricing seemed to be one of t?e best around as well.Thank yall for making our date night special :)

I took my daughter and a group of her friends here. I reserved two lanes the night before online. Easy and convenient. We bowled for 2hrs and had a great experience. Aaron or Adrian, I can't remember his name?he was at the front desk the evening of 4/8?he was excellent! Great customer service. Accommodating, attentive, helpful, nice! Very pleasant. The server we had was the same. We will definitely be back. Great environment, for a good time!

I took my partner and brothers to Paradise Lanes on a whim yesterday. We just wanted to spend a bit more time together before heading back to Seattle. The bowling alley was cute and what you'd expect; the few arcade and crane games, the bar, etc. We get in, tell her how many games we want for how many people, and she asks to hold my card. The only reason I can guess someone would want to do this is because the payment is time based. So we rush through our two games and head back up. It is NOT time based.

Online reservation was easy and reasonable. But we got charged for them upsizing our cocktails without us asking. Food was a bit overpriced. And they charged a lot for one hour of pool

Family reserved a lane online. The process was easy. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, our server Leah was AWESOME! She kept us fed, recommended tasty drinks, and served with a smile every time. This was a great evening with the family at a nice establishment.

Their prices are insanely high. Appetzier sampler for $40....liqour prices thru the roof. Not paying those rates Ball selection also is minimal. Nothing over 14lbs and all the hole sizes are weirdly assigned. Add them running short staffed every week so you have to wait 20 minutes for a lane to be cleared when stuck. Save yourself the headache and empty wallet.

Spent over 180 on two games of bowling and a little food and a few drinks. The burgers were dry and came out cold, fries were also cold. My son's burger for some reason had ketchup right on the top of the bun. They need more staff, they had one cook, one server and one bartender and the place was busy. Also what happened to arcades taking quarters? Definitely won't be back anytime soon.

Food was great, place was clean and had a nice layout, kid friendly. Aside from the bowling lanes they had separate areas with an arcade, pool tables, darts, a bar and a restaurant. Overall great place.

Went on aSunday. $7 per game per person which is expensive, but ok. Then the rail and pinsetter we malfunctioning and we just had to sit there and wait for over 40 minutes. For $7 a game the equipment should with no waiting

We reserved the lane and they had it all ready for us. Very helpful order dinner for me and my husband and two kids (2 & 5). Food was good and service was very speedy

Always a great experience. I do the 9 pin tourney and the crew here always serves well! Great Place! Thank you!

We had our company party here and it did not disappoint. The food is amazing! Don't be fooled into thinking a catered event will just be bar food, this is top notch and delicious. We will be back. Thank you to our hostess who treated us like family. We all had a blast.

Nice place had fun food was good! Great service. Greeted and made us feel welcome.

We were at my son's Birthday Party at Paradise Lines. The tables were ready when we arrived. Pizza, Chicken Tenders and Fries were brought soon. What was a pleasant surprise was that all the food was heated up while we were playing bowling. That's cool. On the downside, the balls got stuck near the pins on our two lanes. The staff was polite and friendly. And at the end, they treated us to a Jumbo Chocolate Chunk Cookie. Thank you! We had a great time!

Great service, friendly, clean. Bar is awesome. There are plenty of TVs to watch sports at the bar or while bowling.

We are currently bowling and the bowling isn't bad but the beverages are. They don't allow you to buy pitchers and charge 4.99 per SODA. For soda that's insane and on top of that it's flat. So nasty.

I'll be honest, I used to love coming here but after finding out lanes are only oiled every other night and drink prices keep increasing I should?ve known when my entire league moved to another alley that this was the end?. :/

We we visited for my daughter's 25th birthday. Bowled a few games and had lunch. The staff was friendly and the prices very reasonable. I definitely recommend you give it a try.

This place is amazing! They take such great care of their lanes. Riley, at the front desk was so cordial and friendly. He was quick to help. Their mechanic crew was equally on point and impressive. If you're serious or just want to have fun go here!

I love that place great food excellent customer service one thing is that I wish there was a place to keep my score

I have been here twice. The first time I came to bowl with family pre-COVID it was fun and good night. The second time is the pictures below. Mu friends and I went to the arcade and we had a blast. Ofc we were safe using hand sanitizer and it was only the 4 of us so social distancing wasn't really needed. I am not very lucky so I had enough tickets for sour ropes candy but I love them so it's a win in my book! Such a cute little place to do a mini photo shoot Very aesthetic. Workers are great, they were v

Rate staff super friendly clean and neat tidy bowling alley and the food at sunrise restaurant is phenomenal especially the country fried steak is humongous the 1st time I couldn't eat it All But then the 2nd time I had to eat it all and video game arcade is good prices the bars are good prices food good prices however a new company has bought the bowling alley and most everybody is really p***** off it changes ownership on 22nd and I hope they don't turn into a amusement park and Jack all the price up a

Amazing place and was very accommodating for my autistic kids. Food was awesome! Loved every moment

Our go to place for drinks and bowling! Although it is in need of updating to compete with the modern bowling alleys, this is always a fun place to go for drinks and a good time. The bartenders are always friendly and they now have a couple of pool tables in the bar area that are in decent shape for a bar sized, hell, a pool table in a bar !??. The tables are $15 an hour and even the house cue sticks are in pretty decent shape with good wood and tips. Not warped!! The alcohol selection is limited but they

My family and I have come here a few times for our weekly family night. Tlace is great and the staff is friendly. However, on Firday nights, there is one server who is all over the place. We were taking a little long on deciding what we wanted and the server told us "I have to get to my other lanes so if you wouldn't mind making a decision soon or I can just come back". I was taken back because she said it very rudely. I asked her name and she acted like she didn't hear me and said she would just come back.

It wasn't very busy. $52 for 2 games and shoes seems a bit pricey.

I had an employee event here, I called a few weeks in advance to book. They were kind, courteous, detailed, thorough, and efficient on the phone. The booking was easy to make, and they were very flexible with my changing needs regarding my group. The facility itself is a bit older, but well maintained. We rented the VIP room (50$/hr) and were allowed to bring in a cake. We did the pizza package deal, which was two hours of bowling, shoes, and a lane, a pizza, and a pitcher of soda per 5 people, for $13 a p

This place is awesome and they do have cheap drinks.... Sometimes the clientele feels a little bit sketchy but, it's worth it for a good time.

One of the few bowling alleys left with a decent arcade. The arcade upgrade had the kids hyped. Only one major issue. Arcade prices are limited and of dollar store quality. Please upgrade or even include discounts for bowling and food or something. (1000 tickets 1 free game, etc). Kids were disappointed after when the prize selection, they didn't even spend their tickets.

I have bowled at this bowling alley for quite a few years now and what it has turned into is an embarrassment in comparison to what it used to be. Prices went up for everything, food, drink, even the bowling. The upkeep and maintenance for the lanes is lackluster at best. My most recent night at league house balls were stuck in the ball return from prior customers bowling. This took roughly half an hour to resolve. We were notified that nothing can be done so their fix was to throw more house balls down the

Clean and friendly environment staff was courteous and prices were low compared to other alleys

Restaurant has always had good food, now reworked the dining room. Lots of space and it looks very nice. I love the changes. Prices are great when you consider serving size.

It was a very nice atmosphere the bartender with the tie dye shirt was very helpful I plan to make this place my normal go to spot

We like coming in for pool, darts, food and a drink or two. Great drinks and food. Pool is $15 and hour. There are 2 pool tables.

My daughter and I go for the arcade we love it

Lovely bowling alley near my house. They put out a cute little sign with my name on it for my reservation and they gave us more time to finish our last round. Food took a little while but drinks and everything were great! :)

Went here for a work party. Maybe because it was all prepaid for but the service was terrible.

I held a party for my son's graduation here and we had a great time with our family!

Great family spot. Place looks brand new and they've got great food.

They went over and beyond for the birthday party

My family and I have tried this place a few times in the last couple of months. Every time we go in our experience here get worse and worse. There is a long list of things that is wrong with this establishment. Where should I start? Wait times at the front desk are completely insane. By time you get help, if anyone is even at the front desk, they are so rude. You don't feel welcomed and you, sense their lack of respect towards anyone. The lanes are a mess. Nothing is wiped down, dishes and food from previou

I enjoy it good people friendly it's a chill place

The staff was very kind. We were a party of two and Mike at the front desk demonstrated fantastic customer service skills while being slap busy! Only giving 4 stars as the bar/restaurant had a 9 person line at one point. Maybe an additional bartender could be hired- or perhaps someone called out. It seemed to be pretty clean, too! Nothing to report on restroom cleanliness as I didn't use. I will be a repeat customer! Thank you Paradise Lanes.

If i could give them zero stars I would .... Two times in a row they forgot about my stone fired pizza ...... When they replaced the second one, they made it in a rush. It was sloppy, and falling apart.... I told the manager it should be crispy like I've gotten it before, and told him the menu said "stone fired pizza" he proceeded to tell me that the menu was wrong, basically trying to justify why the pizza wasn't cooked properly

Best deal in the area for night bowling. 7pm-11pm you can bowl for $16.

Only went for the arcade, save your money. Extremely small selection, expensive and games barely last 5 seconds.

Consistent location for bowling. Lanes rarely bug out like other alleys do and staff are friendly. Summer membership is a great deal. Opening hours are strict at times, but weekends are more expendable.

I went yesterday and we were having issues when it came to the balls coming back to us. We played two games it wasn't that bad. We went again today and the lady that help us was rude and had attitude with all of us. We kept having issues with the balls not coming back it was highly annoying. She also said we couldn't play 3 games because they needed the lanes at 3pm but never explained why they needed the all the lanes at 3. We did get a voucher but that expires 6/30 I don't really wanna go back. If I do it

Really nice facility and employees. Bowling was a little more spendy than expected, but the season pass would probably be the worth the price for how many times you can use it. They also have deals you could use. Fun times though!

Great place to have fun with friends and family.

Always Great service to keep it short it's a bowling alley not the best looking place but the lanes are nice food is not bad and because I haven't had a bad experience and the price is right so it gets 4 stars.

Went there for a celebration for our family members & was really disappointed with the supervisor/GM or whomever he is. The gentlemen at the front desk did his best to accomdate our requests despite how behind he was when there was a long line, but he did confuse his supervisor/GM with our family's lanes. The service from the supervisor was very unprofessional felt nothing but attitude coming from him while I was trying to explain to him our lane payment and how many players we have on the lane. It was like

Fun place to go with family. Burgers are fantastic.

Always a good time here. Probably my favorite place to go bowling

Ever since the place was sold this place has become a poster child for inefficient management. There is usually no one tending the counter in the restaurant so the wait begins, buying a drink at the bar consists of one bar tender and 5 people in line so again the wait begins. The front counter God forbid if you need to break a large bill to a smaller denomination because the cashiers need management approval to accomplish such a simple request so again the wait begins waiting for a manager. Over all the pla

The lanes were in pretty good condition. Even when your going for a birthday dinner people who can bowl still want to be able do shot for there point. So they did a good job there. The food and drinks we ordered did come right up and we're cooked well. There was enough arcades to keep the lil ones occupied long enough to bowl as well

It is what you think it is... Shame really, paradise was a great house with great staff. Paradise's loss is now Bowlero Lakewoods gain...the consumer will always be heard P.s. It's funny how, when reading these reviews, nearly all of the "local guides" give the place 4-5 stars...what an odd coincidence and mathematically blows ones mind....

What a surprise! Online and in the bowling alley there's absolutely no indication that this place is under new management. No signs or nothing. We went to use the kids bowl free and it cost over 100 dollars for my kids to bowl 2 games each. Where as before it would maybe cost 20 bucks after paying for shoes. A large corporation that racks in probably millions can't even participate in a program that helps keep kids healthy and active. In an area that has a high level of poverty their prices are not affordab

This is one of the last bowling alleys in the Tacoma area. They have an arcade for kids, lotto scratch for adults and Bowling for everyone. The restaurant is big, but it has limited choices since ownership changed. Good food but a little bit of a disappointment when I lookedat the menu. I still ordered, but there is something to be said when I was the only one in the restaurant at lunch time. The menu should be changed to meet the clientele if they want more business. The price is fair and the food

Good service at the bar, club friendly, great drinks. Thanks guys for being good hosts!

Nice bowling alley. Has game room. If you like darts the bar has a bunch of dart boards and TVs. Food is very good, given that it's a bowling alley. Haven't tried anything I didn't like. This place is not what it was! If you want to bowl it's not cheap but good for it! Everything else changed. I do not go there anymore!

My families first and last time at the Parkland location! The wait time at the front counter is ridiculous. I will say the staff (African American) working the front counter was polite and was doing his best. Management, on the other hand, was not so friendly. He was discourteous!!! Our lane was shut down on our 5th frame. Pressed the call button, but no one came to assist. A family member went up to the counter and was told that it was shut down because 2 people were playing that didn't pay. So we fished

Hubby and I started bowling to do something together, ended up joining 2 fun leagues and come 3-4 times a week.... Great staff (shout out to Aaron and Richy!) food and lanes! Only wish it stayed open later on the weekends cause we never want to leave :) -The Pauls

Bowling was fun, but the restaurant staff was rude. They used to have water dispensers placed in several locations for league bowlers, but they removed them several months ago stating management requirement. A few weeks later they were brought back only to have them removed again. Yesterday I was told there was one in the restaurant, but there were no cups. BAD customer service, especially when you ask wait staff for something and they don't follow through.

I don't mind being charged for top shelf! You get what you pay for!! Yet when I ask for a water back they want to charge me 3:50$ for a bottle of water. When I asked for a glass!! No. It's all Bout up selling!

Would be a great place if they kept the bowling area clean. Approaches are nice but other than that the bowlers area is filthy. They allow people to west street shoes down inside it and does not seem like they clean it. My shoes are always full of lint and hair in my sliding shoe. That and the ball speed sensors don't work on half the lanes. Lanes are also always having issues. I've never had so many issues with bowling pinsetters until I got here. The place has great potential but sadly I feel like there i

Used to be way better before corporate Bowlero bought them recently, which has no affiliation with the local Bowlero. First off the place is way understaffed. Waiting at the front counter, waiting at the bar, etc. The restaurant menu is miniscule compared to before, and the food isn't as good as before, so we never buy food there anymore. Prices are higher for everything and the NEW STAFF AREN'T AS FRIENDLY. NEW OWNERS didn't honor a $200 gift certificate bought in the pro shop under the previous ownership

Website says they have a "full service restaurant". They don't. They were bought by Bowlero. There's no phone line for the restaurant. They have a breakfast menu (not online) with six or seven meals and glorified bar/fast food menus. The reason they have no breakfast menu online is, I was told, that this is the only Bowlero location where there's a restaurant. They need to remove "full service restaurant" from the website so people don't go there expecting Chicken Fried Steak or Eggs Benedict. This used to be

We had our Blue Knight WA II meeting here every month. This is a fantastic place to hold a meeting. They have an outstanding menu to choose from. Their portion are unbelievable. Their price can not be beat. Our server, Shellie was there meeting our needs. She did an outstanding job. We've been meeting at this place for years. Stop in and look over their menu. You won't be disappointed. Thank you.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. That's the only positive thing I have to say....$90 for 4 people to bowl 2 games?!?! I'm sorry this is parkland, there was a woman smoking meth in the bathroom as reminder for factor. You can keep your overpriced bowling and arcade I won't be back. $5 for 10 credits and the average game is 5 credits...what a joke.

Understaffed bad customer service. They told us they would comp us for the bill we prepaid. They only offered us a 5 hour bowling pass. We waited one hour for our food that we prepaid. I would advise not going there unless you want to wait on poor staff.

There is terrible management and bad organization we had my sons first birthday there last weekend and we paid for the whole room and we were forced to closed half the room WE PAID FOR! They had a rude new manager that day who brought a friend and they were being disrespectful and rude telling me we need to close the half of the room! Literally arguing with me like kids it was soo unprofessional!! Me and my husband have had our gender reveal and baby shower there and they were amazing but now my sons 1st bi

I enjoy paradise a lot. I love the bowling alley and restaurant and they've recently updated the lanes and got all new bowling balls. It's a great place but it's unfortunate that we are trying to get ready for the spring league as my boyfriends work has decided to create a team and can never get lanes on Saturday and they won't accept lane reservations for it, I do know there are other days but Saturdays are the only days that work for all the workers to practice. We have been rotating days around from Frid

Took my boys bowling. For 4 people, 2 games, a pizza, appetizer and drinks...it was about $130-$140. We had so much though. I will definitely go again. Oh and btw, the food is amazing!

The bartender is rude. I asked for a pool table and she said they're booked up, so I leaned to a friend and mentioned maybe we should try another bowling ally (just contemplating) and she butted in on our conversation and said "okay bye, have fun" pushing us to actually leave. Don't spend your money here. There's nicer people in the world that actually want your business/tips.

This is a good family get together place , enjoying different arcade games and playing bowling , it's fun to be there

2 times we have gone and it was 2 of the worst experiences ever. Starting with the bar, you will order the same drinks each time and each time they will taste different and be charged different amounts. I don't know who's pocketing the money but its a total scam. Food, I will list just a few of the issues. First off you will never receive the correct order, if you order sides of ranch etc, you will not receive them till you ask multiple times. They will consistently over cook all your food. We got hair in a

Sad day since they redid the arcade. It looks awesome but in the last three times we visited this summer non of the games are working and the ones that do don't accumulate points. Came back multiple times hoping they fixed it and they have not all summer long. So if you coming for the arcade I would just avoid it unless you wanna waste money.

danica was super nice the whole time made my day way better lovely lady and would very much love to come back. she brought back my water bottle when i forgot it and gave me some free credits for the machine. very nice lady if u could rate 6 stars i would.

Changes under new management have hindered this place GREATLY. Most of the dart boards, gone = no more dart leagues. The bowling alley decor has diminished. Costs increased. The bar menu has decreased significantly with many ?misses?. No more jukebox. Not all TVs operable. Bowling leagues have dwindled to maybe 1/3 of the lanes. Shuffleboard table out of service, what does that even mean? This used to be a fun place and a nice alley, something rare for the area.

We are in town for work and decided to check out this bowling alley. Everyone was so nice. Employees and bowlers next too us. I would love a date night out and kick it at this bowling alley. We wish this place was closer to home.

Excellent pizza! The breakfast is amazing. If you have a chance to try the honey garlic wings, don't miss it. There's pool and darts in the bar. They have an arcade for the kids but you'll enjoy it too. Highly recommend

Great service in the bowling area. Fun for people of all ages. The restaurant has good service if you are White. If not one waitress is terrible. Let my food under the warmer for 15 minutes while she disappeared. She knew my food was there and chose to not serve it before going on break. Terrible experience for my young son and I.

My first experience here was kinda weird. We got a lane right away which was great. We did encounter some problems on the lane with ball returns and the pins not resetting properly, but it wasn't a huge issue. We ordered food and at one point stepped away from it for maybe 10 minutes while we went to get a box and a pool table. Our food was thrown away even though we still had some of our stuff there. The last thing that was odd was a older guy sitting at the higher table designated for our lane. He made me

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
