Paradise Golf & Arcade

Paradise Golf & Arcade

Reviews Summary

Paradise Golf & Arcade is a popular family destination offering mini-golf, go-karts, bumper cars, and an arcade. Most reviewers praise the well-designed, challenging courses and fun atmosphere, though some find them too easy. The electric go-karts are frequently highlighted as a safe, fume-free alternative to gas models. Staff are generally friendly, though a few encountered less welcoming service. Some note the facility could use better maintenance or shade, and pricing is occasionally seen as high. Despite minor critiques, the majority agree it's a great spot for family entertainment, with many calling it a must-visit in OBX.

Customer Reviews

I hadn't played putt putt in probably 15 years but we had a blast! It was affordable and very fun. The course was interactive, well-lit, and we loved the animals. My boyfriend suggested doing this activity and I'm so glad he did.

It was a fun obstacle course. They had two courses, so we thought they would off set each other, but they sent the people right behind us to our same course! This made us feel rushed. We were able family of 4 and we finished in less than an hour. The obstacles were all different from each other, but some of them took us more than 6 strokes to get the ball into the hole and the rules say you can only take 6 strokes. It was a fun outting, but for $15 per person, we thought it would be a little longer than it

Family fun. Small, nice arcade. Liked the go-cart racing

This review is strictly in regards to the mini-golf; my friends and I did not do anything else. The course was okay. It's impossible to ignore the value of $15 for a whole 36 holes, but most of the holes were pretty same-y and not particularly difficult (don't ask me about my score). Still, my friends and I had a great time. If you want to kill a couple hours and get some sun, this is a great place to do so.

Me and my dad came here to do the go carts it was so fun the staff are so kind the games are amazing the this place

Mini golf was very well maintained! Kids had fun on the golf course karts- they're great for kids but not so much for adults or tall kids. Super fun time!

We had a great time here. Two golf courses and an arcade are a bit pricey but a good time. Bumper cars, go carts, and a new ride called wipe out fun to do with the family.

Neat little mini golf place with an arcade, go karts, and bumper cars. For $15 you get to play 36 holes of mini golf. Things did seem kind of run down but we still had fun.

Lively atmosphere. Full of families having fun. Great hours and prices. Mini golf was a blast and go carts can never be a bad time. The videos played on the screen really do help pass the time while in line for the Go-Karts. Great sunset view. Lots of parking. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

5/5 for the putt putt. This place has some super low reviews for some reason. Probably the 2nd best course we've played in the US. You can tell a golf enthusiast put these together. Pristine courses and great layouts. Well kept.

Had a great afternoon playing a round or two here. Kids really enjoyed the courses. Challenging enough to be fun but not too the point of become aggravating killing the fun of the day. Staff was helpful and friendly. Facility was clean and maintained to an acceptable level. Always room for improvement. Over all a terrific few hours with the family

Played 36 holes of mini golf here on vacation! It wasn't busy, and it occupied a good chunk of our time. We had fun, but the flag poles in every hole got annoying to work around after a while.

Two putt putt courses made it super fun for us. The Blackbeard course is a little easier. My boys liked the clever signs on the pathes. We missed the little spinning ride as it was being worked on. The go karts are great for younger kids as they don't go terribly fast. 4 mins per purchase. We all had a great time.

Paradise Golf & Arcade in the Outer Banks is a must-visit for family fun! The mini-golf course is well-designed, with creative obstacles and lush landscaping. The arcade is vibrant, featuring classic and modern games. Friendly staff and a fun atmosphere top it off!

We came at the end of summer and the bumper cars, go-karts and putt putt golf was in great shape. The staff is warm and friendly and a great place to take the kids. The pirate theme with waterfalls was a hit with the kids. I highly recommend!

Great place for the family. The go carts were my favorite

Wife and I had a date night at Paradise Golf & Arcade. Cool environment, but mini golf was slammed. We played 18 holes and it took us several hours (you can tell by the sky in the pictures). Happy to see the establishment thriving, but it felt like they overbooked. Overheard multiple families sharing the same sentiment. Try going earlier in the day if you are able to!

Had a great time. Really nice courses ( They have 2). At this time it's $15 for Adults and $12 for kids. This is for 36 holes. Not To Bad At All...

So much fun!!! Cost about $200.00 for 4 of us to do everything! Laughed and felt like a child again. Great way to spend an afternoon!

What a great experience! My sons 1st go cart ride and it was amazing. Great arcade games too! The putt-putt was perfect as well. He loves the Pirate ship and hitting the ball into the blue river! Thanks Paradise Golf & Arcade, for the great memories!

So much fun. Mini golf, race cars, pinball machines, games. Fun for the whole family and inexpensive.

Fun place with a good selection of arcade style games, like air hockey and kario kart racing games. Fun mini golf that isn't too challenging and has a lot of holes with options to move around so you won't be stuck behind large groups. Not the most difficult mini golf but very fun. Highly recommend.

Love it. But in my opinion it would be nice to have more of a variety in arcade games. My favorite was the bowling. The prizes you get when you cash in your tickets, they could be better too. But overall it was fun!

I played this course a few years ago. It is a nice mini golf course with an interesting layout. I believe this course has 36 holes. I played the 18 with the lighthouse and the water log shortcut, but not the one with the Pirate ship. The thing is that this course is incredibly finicky, with the ball bouncing over the putting surface despite surprisingly light puts. I also played this during the day, and from what I can tell, nighttime is more interesting for this course. The upside is that this course is no

Putt putt golf is great. Go karts not so much. Arcade was pretty good but only food option is ice cream ??

It was different in a good way. They have a train that will take you to the starting hole. And some of the holes are pretty cool set up.

We enjoyed it for the most part. The rides are overpriced but I guess thats how they make their money from us vacationers. The Staff were not too welcoming or friendly and the concession stand was trashy and not open.

Alot of fun, the cards are free, just have to add $, good air hockey, Mario Kart and Step Maniax only gets you one song but fun!

Perfectly fun ?? Two courses!

Very fun golf courses! We most enjoyed the buccaneer coarse! Very well kept and clean. The even have a hole that goes on a ship! Such fun details. The arcade is good too.

Mini golf?! Go karts?! Arcade?! Holy heckin Fauci this is paradise!?? Played all 36 holes against my wife?s boyfriend and won!!??Our deal was that if I won then I get to cameo in their next OF video! (I'll be the guy in the background watching them of course??)Arcade and go karts were awesome 100!My wife?s boyfriend kept pit maneuvering me with his kart and got the attendants really mad?? Oops!?? Me, my wife, and her boyfriend all had a blast here and we highly recommend it ?? Just make sure to have fun and

Such a fun place! So much to do. We did the golf course and bumper cars. My 5 year old had a blast. The staff was pleasant.

It is expensive to play their putt-putt course. However, they are challenging to play, we like that. They have a lot for the kids to do.

Do NOT patronize this place until they repair their greens. $10 a person for this? No. These are not all the greens that were damaged. I think I let the first two slide, then started taking picture. Sloppy management that obviously doesn't care.

My wife and I went with two other couples for a date night. we had a great time, we did golf and go-carts. We all really enjoyed it!

One of the best mini golf courses for your money. 2-18 hole mini golf courses provide plenty of fun and entertainment.

Paradise Golf & Arcade offers an incredible mini golf experience that is both challenging and fun for all ages. The beautifully designed course features creative obstacles and lush landscaping that transport you to a tropical oasis. Each hole presents a unique challenge that keeps you engaged and entertained, making it the perfect activity for families, friends, or even a casual date night. The attention to detail in the design and maintenance of the course is evident, ensuring a delightful experience every

Not worth going, save your money and go somewhere else. Worst over priced karts in obx

Great little family arcade and putt-putt... reasonably priced so as to not break the bank.

Challenging mini golf course with option to do 37 holes. There is also an arcade, bumper cars, and go-karts.

Great family fun! Two mini golf courses to choose from, an AC arcade, and electric powered gocarts! Great times and no exhaust fumes. Friendly staff.

Really Fun Golf Course! Fun Experience: I Enjoyed Being A Kid Inside. Buccaneers Is Lots Of Fun And Challenging. But It's Fun With Family. I Enjoy! It's A Wonderful Place To Minigolf And Enjoy Go Karts! Has Awesome Scenery!

The go karts here were amazing, also I won. You suck I'm the best ha ha

Nice place for family. Go Karts and arcade are decent. As for mini golf, the greens are in deplorable condition.

Fun place! The go carts are electric and not too fast- good for kids. The golfing was fun- 18 holes x 2. A little crowded, but it moved. Only complaint would be staff- the kid could not communicate at the go carts- just mumbled and pointed unclearly as what to do or where to go.

Our family was wasting time on our drive from our lodging to the airport in Norfolk. This was a perfect stop as it had not only miniature golf but bumper cars and an arcade. The only thing I can say is there is very little shade, so if you are going in the heat of the Day be prepared to bake.

A nice size arcade. They had decent prizes but the line to wait for them was over 40 minutes. The prizes are in one machine. Depending on how busy they can get, you will be waiting an while. Outdoor activities was a nice touch. My family loved that they had Mario kart.

Family-owned business. This place was great. The course was clean and fun for the family. The go carts were electric and the race course looked like it was a fun design ( not just an oval track.)

Staff was extremely freindly, patient and helpful. We arrived 45 minutes before they closed and they still allowed us to golf even though we would have not been able to finish the entire course. She was so nice and we appreciated that she allowed us to still play a quick round .

Go carts track is cool but they will cut your power if you try to pass and allow zero touching which just isn't racing. More like a golf cart experience to be honest... just let us race 1 time dude!!!

We was on vacation and come there to have a good time. A good time is not what we had. We did the bumper cars, mini golf, and the go karts. The go karts were not properly tightened against the riders. In the start of he ride my son hit the side wall and smashed his face off the steering wheel. In the result of his wreck, my son broke his nose. After the wreck and my son got out of the cart, he was not offered ice to help the swelling and bleeding. The worker didn't bother to check on my son after he wrecked

Great putt putt course. The only thing that was so annoying is all the flags in the putt putt holes. Everyone was complaining. We had to remove the flag for each course while we were putting then put it back. It would be nice to remove the flags. I'm not sure why you have to have them. They actually block the ball from going in the hole.

Really nice place go karts track not bad just the karts are electric not gas. So they don't go as fast as the gas karts. Arcade was decent size place. Putt putt golf is nice we'll go bad to do that Staff was great with how loud it was inside

This is a cute arcade center for gaming entertainment. I enjoyed the bumper cars? the go-carts were fun, but mine had difficult steering. I will say, some of the ticket prizes are lackluster. ???

Although I ended up losing a diamond tennis bracelet at this place (a gift from hubby that he said he'll replace - I should've taken it off beforehand), I had so much fun! It was like I was a kid all over again!!

Place was alot of fun alot of great options for things to do in one location. Staff were pleasant.

Enjoyed mini golf and some of the arcade games while we were there for my fianc?es birthday. I'd say $15 er adult for 2 mini golf courses is a good deal. The course itself lacked a theme I was confused why there was a random velociraptor and the rest of the animals were all zoo related. It must have had a previous theme or prior ownership before becoming paradise golf. Also the courses names were pirate related ?Buccaneer ? and ?Blackbeard? . If they could get a cohesive theme and decor I think that would m

Good place go-cart are a little slower then a few other places around but all around good experience.

Very first thing we did as soon as we got here. We had so much fun didn't keep score but had many laugh's and even met some people from back home. Road the gocarts also.

Very fun, kind of expensive. New age for go karts and I like it! No shade for putt putt tho, better go early in day or late in day for that. Arcade is kinda small but good games

My husband and I had eaten next door at Henry's while on vacation and when we were done we decided to let our inner child come out. We played both courses for mini golf and then went inside to do some arcade games, including air hockey. We had so much fun! You have to purchase a game card for the arcade at the machine (u choose the amt.). Any tickets won are electonic and put on the card (credit balance and ticket balance are both on the card and seperate from one another). Once you have finished playing an

Pretty fun courses. Can back up pretty quickly and some of the holes are pretty close so there is not always space between groups and it can feel like you are rushing the group ahead or being rushed by the next group. Decent challenge level. On a few holes it would probably be advisable to have an adult block certain places to reduce chances of losing a ball, mostly for younger players.

We had an awesome time here with our grandson

Had so much fun mini golfing at this very well maintained course. Rocks did make it a little difficult to walk if you didn't walk on the green turf. Be careful!

It was nice and very inexpensive!! They have two 18 hole courses, bumper cars, and go karts!!

It was expensive $42 dollars for two adults and one kid to golf, the cashier was not very pleasant and simply pointed at the balls and turned away to ignore us. I wolill be going elsewhere in the future.

We had a very fun time on the put put courses, but the music playing was not family friendly. One of the songs played described oral sex. Between songs the radio hosts talked about explosive diarrhea.

This was NOT our first choice. The two other places were closed so we HAD to come here. Service was absolutely lovely; HOWEVER, the courses are definitely not challenging enough. I haven't played mini golf in years, I should NOT be able to get a hole in one. Maybe I'm just that good

Bruh their system is doggy, you have to wait 20 minutes between each hole because the staff does not regulate the crowds. I get they're making their bank, but when we pay money to spend an hour and only make it through 7 holes, something defo needs to be changed. Fix the system??. If the rules states no groups over 5, then enforce it. If not, change the rules

The rules are absolutely RIDICULOUS. My family and I have done go carts a thousand times and their rules are so strict that half of us got left out. On top of that, the place is dirty, the green on the golf course is ripping up, the arcade is tiny. If you want a fun time I do not recommend this place.

We came here because our kids wanted to ride go karts. We arrived at about 8pm, once it cooled down a bit. Well I think everyone else had thought the same thing as this place was BUSY! Good thing we weren't going to play mini golf, as there were soooo many people trying to play through that it would probably take you 2 hours to finish a round. Tickets to ride the go karts were a bit steep, @ $15 per 5 minute ride, but that didn't stop the long line of people waiting to participate. Kids also rode the Bump

Awesome place the prices are low I would recommend it

Go karts were overpriced. The track was small and the go karts were slow. And the arcade did not load my proper number of tickets. I should have gotten 275 and I got 155. The prize hub was really dumb there were no good prizes at all. The ride outside was way overpriced I am not paying $10 for a silly ride

Probably one the finest putt-putt golf courses I've been too. Clean, well maintained, and spacious. Only drawback was the walls of each hole. They were made with decorative bricks instead of being a solid poured wall. So the openings in between the bricks actually screwed up your shots because once it hit on the grout lines on the bricks the ball would and could and did go anywhere. No bank shots on this course.

We played 36 holes of mini golf, rode golf carts and played some games in the arcade. Arcade is small, but has some fun games. Go carts were fun, however 2 out of 5 had issues. The staff seems like they wish you would not bother them, but overall experience was fun.

AWESOME fun! I got a hole in one on my first time of playing miniature golf in eons! Took plenty of video, and it will serve up some good memories. The go-karts are a blast, no noise or messy gas fumes like the old gas powered ones. No one was recording on my hole in one, but I did get one. ?? ??

I loved this place, the people were nice and the prices were low, especially for a tourist area. Had a lot of fun on the go karts, did mini golf. Their mini golf area's theme was adorable, and I loved how clean and nicely planned it was. 100% recommend for family fun. The bumper cars were super cool as well, although the seat belt latch was confusing ????. The arcade is small, but the price is low still, and it's nice if you do a little bit of everything.

This is a MUST visit in the OBX. Absolute must. Great selection of arcades, awesome mini golf, amazing go carts, super fun number cars, ice cream. Everything!

Absolute must play when staying in the OBX. Mini golf was a great time and there are 2 courses so it wasn't crazy busy.

Seemed nice enough when we got there. Till we paid 42.00 for 3 ppl to play mini golf which was so crowded that we had to what a long time before moving to next hole. The arcade was not anything to look at had a few nice games but non of them gave tickets like the screens said you earned and you had to buy a card in order to play and the bumper car ride wasn't even running and there was an extra charge for go karts.

Cute arcade with games and a prize station. Could have a larger variety of games. $20 will get you 100 points, but games cost 4-10 points with most being 6/8 points.

A great variety of things to do, and the prices are very reasonable. We bought two go kart races and a ride on the bumper cars. The go karts were a lot of fun, I felt that they were very safe. Any time there was a hazard on the track the employees could make the cars slow down or stop remotely. They were also battery operated, so you didn't inhale the typical fumes while riding. Don't worry about speed though, they were still really quick. The bumper cars were also a lot of fun. For 3 attractions we paid le

The course was fun. The reason for only 3 stars, the place is packed. We had to wait to get in, wait to play, wait at every hole. We went on a Thursday night trying to avoid the crowd. It took over 2 hours to complete our 18 hour game.

Staff is unprofessional, carts were malfunctioning, staff was unhelpful and swore at me for yelling for help when my cart stopped. Must feel really good swearing at an 11 year old who simply was just confused. Unless you want to get yelled and swore at come here! My cousin got fiberglass in her hand from the golf course and the staff also was unhelpful and told us to just wait it out! We saw multiple cockroaches and trash everywhere. Really bummed out wanted to have fun. Do better.

The air hockey table was fun. My kids loved the Jurassic Park game. We saw several families enjoying putt putt as well as the go karts.

Compared to other mini golfs in the area, this one has the most interesting green designs and best quality playing surfaces. Prices are a little on the higher side and overall theme/aesthetic is average.

We took my 11yr old son & 10yr old nephew to go kart on 7/21. It cost $30 for the two of them and the driving time lasted less than five minutes. The teens working had zero personality and didn't even speak let alone help adjust their safety buckles. Save your money or go somewhere else.

I cannot say enough good things about this recreation area. We visit every time we go to the beach and we have a routine, once while we are there and once on our way home at the minimum. We visit the outer banks several times during the year so we are here often. This location is consistently clean, well maintained, the employees are friendly and my kids always have a blast. When I mention it is clean I am not exaggerating, the arcade is spotless, go karts are clean and well kept, bathrooms clean and fre

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
