Old Mountain Lanes Bowling Alley restaurant was not our first choice today but one was closed and the other had a heating problem. WOW - we were so LUCKY to end up here for lunch with family. Food, wait staff and atmosphere were all wonderful! Our group ran the gamut from me - eating plant based whole food low fat to our friend who got the Nachos Grande plate. The wait staff were very accommodating to our group of 6 for seating - we got a table in minutes! The waitress was very helpful with my special ord

Old Mountain Lanes is a hidden gem in southern Rhode Island. We had an outing there for a parks association meeting and we had a great time. This was the second time we have been there. Great place to bowl of course, but they have a great diner and a bar area. The pizza we had was very good, and others in my group said they had pretty good food there. Although I did not eat at the diner. There is plenty of room for an outing, and / or a meeting. Definitely a good choice. If you're looking for a place for

The perfect place to bowl - I highly recommend! It's also run by some wonderful people. If you're looking for a night of fun with friends or family, this is the place!

Love old mountain lanes. I have worked there a few times and had a blast working in the kitchen cooking. The changes that have been made are amazing now that they have an arcade for the kiddos. The food is amazing as always this is a must go if your in the area.

Just was quieter than recent past when I had to work sad to say making me miss the Special Olympics bowling. The other day I went to church to usher at Warwick Hope Assembly of God which I did. I only had briefly as many others looked to also assist in ushering. Might?ve been not my assigned week, but usher regularly without request to help. Can't help myself in wanting to serve.

Fantastic hosts of the RI SUMMER GAMES SPECIAL OLYMPICS BOWLING!!! Phenomenal hosts for many years now, cannot thank this facility enough for accommodating all of these amazing athletes!

My husband and I had a great breakfast with great customer servicesand enjoyed our time with qualified for special Olympics

Very nice, clean place to bowl. The restaurant is great also.

We've bowled here a few Times. It's fun, reasonable priced and nice workers. Kids enjoy it and perfect for a rainy day. Best part is it's the only place opened late in The area.

Me and my family found out about this bowling alley through a classmate of my sons birthday party and have made it our go to bowling alley. Very fairly priced and has alot more to offer than just bowling. Including games, a restaurant and a whole separate bar section.

I wanted to give the place a 5 for being a good value for family fun, but there were a couple things. The positive stuff, the place has great lanes, games, a coffee place, and appears well maintained. It has games and bumpers for children. The balls return pretty quickly and there were a lot of choices. The negative stuff, first I have is that the time to bowl starts after you register, not when you start bowling. So, putting on your shoes and finding balls is on the clock. An hour ends up basically being

Fresh, well prepared, local cuisine with a hometown flare. Upbeat vibe in the coffee shop. Breakfast served all day, including mimosas. It's very likely you will bump into someone you know. A definite must visit.

I'm not usually one to write restaurant reviews, but the takeout meal I grabbed from the cafe at Old Mountain Lanes on the way home from a jam in Narragansett deserves some virtual ink. The meal? Fish and chips. The verdict? This was the finest takeout dinner I have ever had, in my life. The servers were friendly and the meal came out quickly. It is only a five minute ride to our house, and I still had to feed the dogs, so I worried that the fries might cool down too much. Did I eat a few on the ride home?

A fun place to bowl with good games too!

I love the facility. It is much bigger than it looks on the outside. The food is great, the staff is excellent! I go every Thursday and enjoy it every time I go.

Good food, also separately good place for bowling

It was a 3 generation family night out couldn't have asked for a better way to spend this special day!

The outside of the building is deceptive. It looks like you've gone to the wrong address. It's small outside but when you enter you're greeted with a large bright open building. When I was there they were hosting the Special Olympics which is very kind. The employees were kind and helpful. Everyone had a great time and they all did their very best!

My son and I were both very unhappy with the lane. We felt like we were bowling on duck pin lanes with no oil. Every ball that we brought and use at multiple different bowling establishments reacted horribly. Maybe we just went on a bad day or time but we were the first people on the lane when they opened so it should have been fresh oil just seemed as though there was no oil at all.

Wonderful staff all around! Great comfort food choices, & appealing specials at a very fair price no matter breakfast, lunch, or dinner! The lanes are very well maintained (perhaps even a smidgen too much oil depending on your style)

These folks are great. Had my wife?s 50th Birthday Party here. The support was top notch. They were always making sure we were happy. The food is awesome! You must order the meatballs. And the bowling is always great. It's a really affordable deal for old fashioned family fun!

Steak and egg breakfast with coffee milk and Italian toast. Very satisfying. Erin is always delightful!

This was my first time here. Went to watch family bowl. Didn't have anything to eat. They do have two different restaurants plus a bar. One is a diner the food look good.

Bob, and staff provide a quality bowling environment that is family friendly. The Toth family has been running the center for decades.

This is the perfect place to hang out and have a good time with friends and family. We went there and had a great time bowling and the coffee shop there is simply amazing.

I grew up bowling at Old Mountain Lanes and had not been there 2014; I happened to be in the area and wanted to see if there were any changes and it was eye opening. The renovations really brought this family friendly establishment into the 21st century. Their are more arcade games compared to what we had in the 70's and 80's, the diner had a bit of an upgrade and Camden's was extremely busy. Was also happy to hear the Toth family still owns it. One of the few remaining cornerstone businesses in the area

Usually great, but today I had to step out to take a call and the waitress took my food - not one bite yet taken! So left hungry but the rest of my table enjoyed their food.

We had a great time. So happy we stumbled into the Sunday evening deal: $11 per person for shoes and two hours of bowling! We had a great time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was good and space was clean.

Been going here for over 30 years . Great place for the kids or the whole family and love the breakfast, lunch and the restaurant called Camden is really good too. Recommend this business highly. Enjoy David Jack.

This place has DELICIOUS food! OMGOSH you need to go and try the clam chowder! We also had a delicious Lobster Roll! All the food is homemade. Real home cooking.

So tasty, everyone I was with enjoyed their food, waitress was incredibly sweet nice to talk. Very reasonable prices. This was my first time going here, this is also the first review I've ever felt like writing for a restaurant. This is very telling. I'll definitely be going again :)

Excellent turkey dinner, and liver and onions, waitress was a sweetheart, price were good for the amount of food they give you..ty

Was in Wakefield today taking care of a couple things and decided to grab a quick bite at the Coffee Shop inside Old Mountain Lanes. I was immediately greeted by Emily, the hostess, and was seated. She recommended the grilled cheese burger, so I took her up on the suggestion. My meal was served quickly and to top it all off, the burger was absolutely delicious! While I was there I saw a group of 8 or so enjoying some drinks and a meal, laughing and enjoying their time - really reflected on the atmosphere o

Giving 2 stars based on the arcade only. We didn't bowl. We went for the arcade, specifically for air hockey and pool. Air hockey table was broken and they don't have pool tables. Kids prizes from ticket games were terrible and limited. Arcade game prices were too high and many broken. I'd give a much higher rating if we had bowled as that really is their bread and butter but if you have an arcade it should count. Staff was friendly and fun though.

Staff is very welcoming to our group of special needs adults. Menu has a good variety. Felt extra chilly with the fans going. Will remember a sweatshirt for next time!

Went to this location to eat at the restaurant inside. Food was great, prices very reasonable. Fun atmosphere, very clean, super friendly staff.

Sat down for dinner, enjoyed the games after. Nice Friday night fun experience. I wasn't impressed by the food even though it was recommended. The steak sandwich w/fries a good choice. NE Clam chowder was a bit runny. Clam cakes where good. ?? GrapeNut pudding was to dry.

I come here with work and during my free time. The current staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I have friends who bowl in the leagues here and they really enjoy them. There's always specials going on for holidays, or just because it's sunny out! A great place to grab a quick bite to eat for any meal.

Old Mountain Lanes recently hosted a bowling party for 30 girls between the ages of 7-12 and the event was so fun! The facility is very clean, the business well-run, the event was very easy to book online and the rates are very reasonable. Chris behind the bowling desk is the best and is totally on top of things. Thanks for making all run smoothly.

You want an old school experience with New Wave technology come on down to Old Mountain Lanes. Make sure you call and check because there's a lot of leagues going on so you want to make sure that there's an open Lane for you and your party. We love going here it's one of our favorite places

The coffee shop is wonderful. The food is good. I.love watching the people bowl.

Those pins didn't know what hit them (yes they did it was a bowling ball).

My first time at Old Mountain and had a great experience. I brought my grandchildren and they bowled and played arcade games. Everyone was so nice and helpful !! Will go again.

I don't know what it is but, old mountain lanes restaurant has the best chicken Caesar wrap around.

Attended a surprise birthday party, the food was amazing! Service staff was also amazing! Very clean environment ??

I've been going here since high school(graduated 1993), bowling, and having breakfast always good. They are still open early for a sit-down breakfast, which is rare in this area. Love it here.

With Size 15 teen feet they had my size. All Lanes worked great. The balls were great. We celebrated my birthday bowling. Thank you. Great Venue for Further meals.

It was fine we enjoyed ourselves prime rib and vegetables and stuff where a little bit I would have liked it a little warmer other than that the food is very good

They have everything from breakfast to dinner to late night. Whatever you want. The food quality is exceptional... And you'd never expect it from a neighborhood bowling alley! The guys at the front desk are super nice. The breakfast servers always have a smile and a pep in their step. And it's the bartenders who make the whole thing come together. Amanda is one of the few bartenders I've ever met who really cares about the people she serves. She knows how to make you feel better about yourself after a

Great college nights. Unlimited bowling for only $16. Sometimes is very crowded but you'd expect that being near a university. The staff is very friendly as well. They do a special past 10PM where they put an orange pin and if you roll a strike while it's the front pin then you get a free bowling night for one. Would recommend to anyone that likes to bowl and listen to pop music.

Always a great breakfast at the bowling alley. A real locals spot. One of the few places that gets a perfect poached egg every time.

Nice place and love the vintage look. But why it didn't get 5 stars is because there is no way to recycle the pins. Every game I got a spare in 10th frame and then after your last bowl you cant recycle the pins without having to have the guy at the counter do it....then he starts copping an attitude.

Nice place, friendly

Great place to bowl, and fast pin turnaround, BUT the manager was extremely obnoxious. I walked up to the counter with 3 friends, credit card in hand, and he straight up ignored us for 2 straight minutes, chirping some group of people who were bowling. They weren't even responding to him. It was bizarre. Later, my friend went to let the same guy know that pins weren't resetting, and I watched the same guy ignore him while he was trying to get his attention. My friend came back 3 minutes later, and apparentl

Delicious grilled provolone/tomatoes on rye with excellent French fries. Beyond taste expectations. Extra nice and polite professional waiter. Delightful experience!

We had a great time five of our group were are international students they thought it was really fun. Nice place thanks for the help with our friend who got sick. He'll be ok just a bit dehydrated . He arranged the entire activity.

I brought 3 of my grandchildren here. They like to bowl. They played 2 games. Lasted awhile. We ordered some chicken fingers and fries for snack. They really enjoyed themselves. It was a fun family event.

Great bowling place, some newer technology to set bumpers per player, edit scores. There is some disconnect between the technology and what is actually happening on the lane being out of sync, the panel thinks it's a fresh frame and the lane thinks it's a bowlers second turn. Cest la vie, my family and I had a good time. Very convenient restaurant in same building if you get hungry for diner type food.

We are a group of men 16 to 20 that meet every Thursday for breakfast. They serve us all in a timely manner.

Didn't bowl as of yet. Had liver, onions and bacon with mashed potatoes gravy and summer squash. Delicious and your money's worth.

went for my birthday on sunday around 4 o'clock and i just want to say the young man working there had to be the best employee ive ever met. dont know his name, but i want him to know he was amazing. i was the one who got an elephant stuffed animal (: i always go here bc its local and staff is always nice and place is clean and cute! 10/10 going again

10/10 absolutely love this .... it would be an 11/10 if Stacy wasn't so rude at the bar. All the other bartenders are amazing especially Dani. Going to try to not be here on her nights.

One of those rare "old home town" finds! With a full bowling alley, kids bowl free on school vacations (1 string/child per day). There is a breakfast and luncheonette in the alley itself and a family restaurant next door (Camden's). Pricing is very reasonable. Service is excellent. Parking is free.

Good alley, bowling computers are very modern. They have games and a connected bar/restaurant. We bought an hour and ran over on the last two frames, but the staff was very helpful and let us finish. They have quite a few lighter balls for kids, and also little ramps if they are too little too bowl regular. Place is in good shape, better than most alleys I've been to.

Old Mountain Lanes has been a family favorite for a long time because of the staff who are super helpful, the cleanliness of the facility, and the overall welcoming atmosphere. Last week my son, who is physically disabled, was provided with a special ramp that was placed close to his wheelchair so that he could bowl for the first time--and he got a spare! The real bonus at OML is that Camden's Pub is integrated so that you can get a bite to eat while there. My coffee and bran muffin proved to be an unexp

Such a fun and nostalgic place to be! The restaurant on the back end was decent too!

Super unprofessional and rude staff. The bartender destroyed my girlfriends REAL ID and management did nothing about it. Real classy place if you ask me. Just trashy

Went on a rainy Thursday and met the most amazing staff. Clean fun environment great for adults, children and everyone in between. There's not a huge difference in bowling from one place to another except in the atmosphere and staff. Old Mountain Lanes is tops!!!

It was your typical bowling alley, busy, loud, but it was a lot of fun. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because it took over an hour to get my food that I had ordered

Absolutely amazing. I will gladly blow half of my net-worth on this bowling alley. A bad day bowling at this alley is still a good day. It's nice when it's empty too so I can be as hyped up as I want when I'm with my friends. The bar that is there is also A1, the bartender, Dani is an absolute legend. Gonna keep coming back to Old Mountain Lanes again and again.

Very good food. One of the best chicken Caesar salads ever. Angelina provided perfect service. Serving breakfast all day.

Old Townie feel. Almost like walking back in 1955. Unfortunately the prices aren't. : ) They might surprise you though ! Talking about the restaurant inside the Bowling alley !!! There's usually special's that you wouldn't expect. Great burgers. Awesome beer bartered fish and chips! That sort of thing Evrryone should try it once ... Of course the Bowling and game's are fun too !!!

Everything was great except a guy behind the counter was extremely rude, he was careless and screaming at me and my 8 year old friend to hurry up and choose while there was no line. Otherwise everything was good except that man!

Good food, good drinks. Front desk seems to pick favorites, when trying to get a lane for rock and bowl being a 1/2 hour early 830 we asked when sign ups start for lanes. Front desk tells me 9pm. we wait, 9pm and a line starts , then they proceed to call names. Turns out there was a list to get on they failed to tell us about. There was about 10 names on the list so we had to wait an additional 20 mins before getting a lane. All in all we had fun once we got a lane but would have been nice to know we could

Update- I have given this bowling alley a couple of tries. It Haas greatly improved since my first visit, staff are competent and food is great and the menu has a good variety

Clean venue, friendly staff, and good food. There isn't much that separates bowling allies from one another, but bowling is certainly an enjoyable pastime. Inexpensive rental fees makes this place good for just about anyone.

Old Mountain Lanes has been a mainstay in the town of Wakefield. It has always been a place for friends to gather to enjoy some rounds of bowling. I had not been in the alley since renovations had been completed and I am happy to say they have really stepped it up! The alley itself looks great and they have updated their electronic scoring systems as well as the arcade games. It was starting to look very old and dated the last time I had visited (which was a long time ago). But I love what they've done! The

Always a good time. My kids are teenagers and we always have fun. Check out there Sunday bowl and food specials. Don't forget Camden's serves breakfast all day.

Been here several times always a great experience! Our young server the best. Great coffee. We are coming back for more!

First off I would like to say that this place is an amazing hangout spot for anybody! There is bowling; obviously but it is a bit expensive for one game especially show rental. But there is arcade games where you can earn points and redeem for prizes. And inside there is a cute little diner where you can order to eat while you are bowling or go inside and dine there. Overall this place is amazing and my into complaint is that shoe rental is expensive ($8)

I had the chili cheese omelette. Could have used some more cheese m some onion on top. Pretty good though. Wish coffee was better.

Local favorite for current events (aka gossip). Offers 2 excellent inexpensive eateries, updated bowling lanes, clean restrooms and very friendly staff. Bowling is great exercise. Fun for family or a group of friends..

Fun place to bowl for all ages. Everything was clean and organized. The gentleman at the front desk was super helpful in choosing a setup that was very beneficial to us. We highly recommend this bowling alley.

Great place to come and cool off from the heat or come in out of the rain. Bowl a little then sit and relax in the coffee shop for a snack. Such a fun and relaxing place. Full of life. Enjoy!!

Food was good and service was great in the restaurant. The arcade was fun. One game was not working and one was confusing. We didn't bowl this time but maybe another time!

Went there a few times now, and every time there great between the customer service the decently priced bowling and food too ,not to mention its super kid friendly my son loves the arcade!

Clean restaurant with fast friendly service and good food. Breakfast is served all day. Plenty of parking.

Good food, smiling, friendly servers. Food was hot and fresh and made to order. Just right. Not too noisy for all the folks having fun bowling and foos ball and all the games.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
