I stopped at Ogle County Brewery to try their beers. It is a super cool historic building in Oregon IL. It's a big place and they have a lot of history around the facility. The service was really friendly and attentive. They had 9 of their own beers on for my stop with some unique options. Beers included: strawberry ale, an amber wheat, vanilla and hazelnut porter, west coast IPA, oktoberfest, an english golden ale, pineapple habanero, American pils, a cider, and a seltzer. The oktoberfest was smo
I have to say the inside of this place is beautiful. You can get lost just looking around. bathrooms were clean. However the food was not our cup of tea. The sandwiches Meat was all chopped up with all the dressings almost like a tuna salad or something. I had the brisket sandwich (5) and fries (10). My wife had chicken (5). We also had some pork kind of like ribblet's those were great (8). The cocktails made perfect. The price was very high $62.20 not including the tip, Although I don't think we wi
I would've loved to give the food 5 stars... But I cannot. I ordered the special: bacon brisket burger with fries. The presentation was beautiful, but the first bite was not what I expected. The brisket was dry and tough. The bun, although tasty, was entirely too big for the meat patty. Very skimpy on the meats, and the sandwich definitely needed mayo to compensate for the small amount of aioli on the bun. The jalapenos were delicious, but pickled jalapenos usually are! The fries were okay, but I was extrem
We enjoyed our experience but don't think we will make it back any time soon. The buildout of this brew pub is quite nice. They used a lot of previous materials and local antique items to give the place a wonderful look. It was interesting just to look around the room. Service was painfully slow and uninspiring. There's a comfort level with walking past you that I don't understand. They had 4 of their own beers, but one tap wasn't working. The beers are ok, nothing needed a second serving. Flatbread was pre
We had a great time! Service was top notch. Beer was great as well as the food. We will definitely be returning soon!
This was my first time here and it was amazing!! I tried 3 different beers and they were amazing!! I had gotten the brisket flatbread and that was amazing too!! The pizza dough is from a local bakery fromthe area. tI'll definitely recommend and I'll be back!!
Speedy, thorough, helpful with the beer menu, friendly service. Can't wait to return. Had the Brisket pizza, pretzel bites, smoked gouda curds. All very good. Spoke with the owner Brian, nice guy!
Relaxed atmosphere. One table outside; big garage door wall was open for an outdoor feel. Great food and service. The Margherita flatbread was bursting with flavor! Delicious!
Beer hit the spot. Both the buffalo and honey sriracha wings were amazing. Place wasn't busy at all and the server was fast and courteous. Both nights I ate here I was very satisfied.
The place serves some good beer! Food was awesome. I recommend the nachos with chicken! It was an appetizer that I had as a meal! Big meal! The Brown Bag and OCB are delicious!
Food was good but way over priced. Especially when you get served in a metal dog bowl with paper. If I am paying 17-20 dollars for a sandwich I'd like an actual plate. Also being uncharged 3 dollars for fries over chips is excessive. Also their menu had way more pizza and flat bread and very little sandwiches or even burgers. Probably will not be back as it's just overpriced.
Fantastic flatbread pizza, an Interesting selection of beers and amazing service! What else can you ask for... how about an awesome atmosphere.. You won't receive this out of the world dinner experience, this is more of the Cheers vibe and what have you. The locals definitely have a good time and the out of towners like myself... we have to interject ourselves into the party. Once I did that, it was all down hill from there.
Wings are literally one inch. Smallest wings I have ever had. They were out of the beer I ordered. Ordered a flatbread, hour later never came. They brought me the bill and it was fond they never notified the kitchen to make the flatbread. No advertised flights. Nice decor and staff though.
Really nice atmosphere, service was excellent and beer was a tasty treat. You should stop by and have one or two. Food was delicious also.
Excellent place!!! Food is very good and priced fair!! The Bier is awesome!!! Stiefel Pils was light and tasted just like being back in Germany. First visit and we'll definitely be back!!!
Excellent service, excellent food and even better brews. Love the Look of the old clothing store and how the new remodel has went in the front of the building! Great place you won't regret it!!! The wings are the best!!!!
Drinks 7/10 Service 4.5/10 Food 2/10 Value 2/10 All I can say is that a $12 cocktail you shouldn't be using well vodka. And a $21 salad shouldn't be served on a paper plate with a cheap plastic fork. This place has soooooo much potential but owners need to invest in quality ingredients, better presentation, and honestly better things all around. It was really was a shame because I had such high hopes reading the menu and ordering drinks. But as soon as I was presented with what I ordered I was immediately
Really cool place. Had several different flatbread and they were all good. The Thompson brisket was my favorite. The pretzel was really good as well. Tried the IPA and it was really good as well. Facility was unique and fun to be in. It was also clean. We'll be back
Worst customer service. The tables were full, but plenty of bar seating, perfect, or so we thought. The fella behind the bar stood there talking to his friends and poured their beer while we sat there for 15+ min. He didn't even acknowledge us. The only waitress was swamped with tables, while he did nothing. Several other people who arrived after us also walked out, all without being served. We won't be back.
First time there with 7 friends. We were there on a Saturday around 4 and it was pretty empty. I think there was only one person working seems like he was the bartender, server and manager all rolled into one. Seriously...paper plates and plastic utensils were used to serve the food on. Mixed drinks were bad. The beer was ok. Live music was good. The chicken wings were very good all the other food looked like it came pre packaged and either heated up or deep fried. Perhaps in that town this type of food or
The atmosphere of the brewery was nice and so was the beer. However the food was subpar. My flatbread Chicken Marinara was a joke. The chicken flavor on it tasted just like chicken out of Campbells chicken noodle soup. When I order something with carnalized onions I expect caramelized onions. This had a few cooked onions thrown on it. No good flavor at all on this whole meal. I ate a few bites brought the rest home, and never wanted it again so I prayed $12.00 for a meal I threw away. Thankfully my husbands
This brewery was a surprisingly fun night out. There was a good selection of drinks, the nacho fries with brisket and meat lovers Flatbread were delicious! After we finished our food, we were introduced to an entire basement of fun arcade games and entertainment. Will definitely be back!!
Love their pizza with hot honey!
Be forewarned.....if it's a warm day, there is no a/c and it is uncomfortable. Adding to that discomfort are the food offerings, which, at best, are undisguised frozen soft pretzels, frozen mini corndogs ugh, and frozen fish and chips. And to call it "fish" is an insult to every swimming creature! More like a plateful of tiny planks of soggy brownish fish-like disks. And the beer? "Mediocre" is generous. Not cold, and fell short on the taste scale. A decently designed brewery that just disappoints on ju
Ordered a taco salad with chicken.. got a paper plate of lettuce with a small amount of chicken. No taco shell. No salsa. Had to ask for chips which they charged extra for. When I asked waitress she told me they don't do taco salads like other places. She did take the cost of the chips off the bill. My friend ordered a side salad that had more on it than the taco salad. Very dissatisfied meal.
This is a newer restaurant/brewpub, only a few years old, which definitely has its perks! They are always changing and improving their menu, and there often will be a brand new beer on tap to try. Staff is super nice, always ready to make conversation, talk about the new beers on tap, menu items, etc. They are currently expanding their beer production with a brand new added space, can't wait to see how they continue to grow!
It was nice. The bar tenders were attentive if not particularly friendly. The beer was good. The food was fine. The parking... well, let's just say the parking was a bit of an adventure, but it got done ?? That said, it IS a touch spendy. Dinner, a couple three beers and a shot x 2, shouldn't cost nearly $150 in my humble opinion.
This was a fantastic brewery. The pizza was great and the gale pale ale was a fine drink. The live music was nice, not too loud or too soft. The ambience is very relaxing. I am astounded this place was located in a town this size
The margarita flatbread was really good. The beer was decent. The Wheat Star was lacking on taste but Thin Landing Strip was really good. Service and atmosphere were great.
First of all, we had the best waiter & waitress ever! Very professional and fun! They took the time to describe the beer which was excellent and Our order was taken and there were no errors! The food was very good! Fresh toppings, crispy flatbread, popcorn chicken with dipping sauce, bbq wings, soft pretzels with cheese, Mac & cheese bites..everyone loved the food and the friendly, homey atmosphere.
Josh and Brian are both excellent hosts. The beers are solid beers, and there's a good variety and choice of beer as well. My friend had the Bloody Mary and said he would most definitely get it again and it was very good. Wait staff was fast, friendly, and you never have to wait for the food and drinks very long at all. The pretzel and pizza were fantastic. You've GOTTA try the beer cheese and especially the mustard. Would highly highly recommend this brew pub to all of my friends, family, and complete stra
Best pizza in the Sauk Valley IMO ...and they're not even a pizzeria! Just great ingredients freshly made. My DIY pie tonight was sausage, mushrooms, tomato, spinach and hot honey - washed down with a pineapple IPA. Eric is a great bartender/server too
The food and beer were good. The staff were very nice and attentive. I did not like that the bartenders and wait staff were not wearing masks. I think during these times with them interacting with the public they should be wearing masks. Also, I realize it's new but there is no host/hostess to seat you. It's a free for all in there.
Our server was amazing!!! I didn't like the first drink and she totally comped it to keep this customer happy. And the live music was good. Prices still reasonable, good beers, neat place. 2nd time here and I will be back.
We had heard good things about the Ogle County Brewery and it did not disapoint. Fantastic Beers and Great Food. Yes, the bar food was "great" we tried several dished, to include the skewered shrimp, the brisket sandwich and some flat breads. The service was excellent as well. We are from the Rockford area and this is a worthwhile destination. There is even a Air B & B upstairs and I believe the renovated building was originally built in the late 1800s, how Kool is that! The live band was Rock'in........we
I eat out a lot, and am an avid home cook. The crab cakes at OCB are the best meal I've had in the last 5 years. Amazing. A masterpiece. I would pay two to three times what they charge for it.
Stopped by on Memorial day. Like many other reviewers have mentioned, no hostess, so after sitting at a table for a while with no wait staff visible and no service, moved to bar since odds seemed better. One overwhelmed bar tender appeared to be only guy working the entire place, and it was moderately busy. Like other reviewers mentioned, it is a free for all. Overheard a table had their food order forgotten, and had to wait very long time to finally get it. Bar did reduce price for them to compensa
Very nice place. The vats they brew the beer in are visible through the windows on the front of the building. The decor showcases the history of the building, mostly through old photos. The bar is beautiful shabby chic with hooks for a purse directly in front of each stool. The service was fast and attentive. We had spicy bloody mary?s to drink. I ordered the brisket flatbread and my husband had the special surf and turf. The steak kabob in the surf and turf was perfectly cooked, tender, and well seasoned.
Been here at least 5 times already with my fiance! I'm not one for draft but these beers changed my mind. Excellent beer and plenty to choose from. For the calorie watchers they have a delicious seltzer home brewed. Will be back again and we are happy to have more businesses in town .
Food and, more importantly, the beer was fantastic! Our meal consisted of 4 different appetizers and everything was top notch!! If you're in the area and want a quality dining experience, you must come here.
Great brewery with some excellent food. The decor from the reclaimed tin ceilings were a great touch as well as pictures of the building through history. I would have gone for the Orion Organics honey beer alone but there are so many more reasons you'll find to come back again.
We just had a drink and appetizers. We had the pretzel and Mac and cheese triangle and they were delicious. Caramel apple wine slushie was delicious too. Only complaint was it was kind of loud, but cool atmosphere.
The flatbread are amazing. The wait staff was superb. The place was extremely busy due to a festival right across the street yet I did not have to wait for anything. I highly recommend. The food and beer and service are excellent.
Tap house Brisket sandwich is delicious! Christina and Vanessa are awesome! It was very busy when we came in and even though they were the only two servers but they were attentive and quick!
Can't beat this place for great food, ambiance, service, and very tasty brews!
Yet another place where I sit down and nobody says hi, ask if you want a menu, acknowledges I even exist. They were not busy and had a guy walk by us at least 5 times without saying a single word to us. We even stood up and moved to the bar because it seemed like people actually got served there... and proceeded to be ignored for another 10 minutes. Walked out and drank nothing because nobody cared. Cool they were open on Memorial Day, I guess, too bad they blew me off.
Friendly staff, good beer. They have food but I did not try any. Since they are fairly new I will have to give them another try. The OCB selection was paired with domestic beer also. When they grow I'm sure there will be more of their own brews
I love this bar ... Their food is amazing! I'm from the city and their food and drinks are very reminiscent of the city. You can pick this bar up and move it to the city and not a single person would think it came from the country. Seriously try the brisket.
Thanks to the absolutely glorious flatbread pizzas and the massive game room in the basement, this has become a favorite place to bring my kids for dinner! Good food. Good vibes. Arcade games that actually work...
Fantastic Flatbread pizza! Stone ground mustard that will singe your nose hair! Interesting selection of beers with more in the pipeline. Great service! I will definitely be coming back!
They use disposable plates and eating utensils for everything. Forget the fact that it's not sustainable and will cost you more in the long term, but it's just blatantly ignorant. So much waste from one business ran by people who have probably never ran a business or have any care about the exponential amount of waste they're contributing to our environmental issues. It's good beer and food but come on that's just so naive
Now that the hours have been updated? good food, good beer, good ambiance. Pro tip: check the facebook page for hours before traveling 60 miles to have a beer here. And yes, it's worth the trip.
Fantastic atmosphere, food, and beer. The brisket sandwich is amazing, it's hard to order anything else. Definitely worth a shot!
Taco Tuesday! We had Brisket Nachos that were an unexpected delight! Shrimp tacos and brisket tacos were good as well. We will go back!
The beer is great, don't think I'll be eating any food from their location any time soon though. Their hot dog gave me food poisoning, made for a very unpleasant morning/afternoon.
Because of my relationship to the Lebwicks and Bud Eakle, it was bitter sweet. I think they all would be very pleased and proud of what National clothing has become.
Great food and drinks! Staff was friendly. We had the pretzel for an appetizer, and the brisket sandwich and their Roman pizza
Arrived with a buddy and ordered drinks and were given menus, waited 25 minutes without being waited on, then left. We won't be back.
Excellent food and service. It was busy and they accommodated us perfectly. Was very pleasantly surprised with everything! The only negative is that it was very loud in the establishment.
Food was amazing. I really enjoyed trying all the different kinds of beers. Wait staff was extremely friendly and willing to answer all questions.
The brisket sandwich was $17 and had very little meat on the bun and came with only potato chips. Total waste of money for what you get. Won't be back anytime soon.
Great food and service.
Was there for lunch. Plenty of tables. Good service. Food was great especially the glatbreads. Do not have hamburgers.
Their beer is amazing! Also some nice fresh seltzers. Great food too! Highly recommend
Came here twice now and it's awesome! Great prices, atmosphere, and of course booze. Location just opened within the year, and has so much potential!
Great beer choices, nice staff and food was delicious despite serving on styrofoam plates
The place is absolutely beautiful, beer was good I had a berry seltzer. Food was substandard at best.
Totchos with brisket? Flatbread with brisket, onions, and cheese? Delicious. The Pils was a great choice of beer, too.
We had the Brisket sandwich and fries. One of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten!
Decent beer, decent prices. Great selection, super friendly staff. Corey was fantastic behind the bar
I just walked into this bar and they accepted my service dog they are super cool and everybody around my dog chica was super nice they asked me if we could walk up to him first and the owners are super cool
Nice for the tasting tour. You can get four flights of beer for $5 for tasting.
The bartenders were extremely rude and if I could give zero stars I would! They were shushing us and making rude comments. We were extremely disappointed and will not be going back!
A great new enjoyable historic safe spot for a drink or 2. The food looks great. We will be back.
Staff and atmosphere was wonderful. The food was "meh".
We were excited to try them. Food was ok. I did a flight of the beers and was disappointed.
Great atmosphere. Diverse selection of beer and good small plate apps. Wonderful addition to Oregon
Good food ! Amazing variety of beers and the best Customer service ! A place to visit if you are visiting Oregon, IL
Great beer, reasonably priced. Great atmosphere with live music.
Sat at a table and our table was ignored by the staff so we moved to the bar. Left after we couldn't get a menu or drink or service.
Very nice clean place to hang e a beer. Friendly owner too. Will be back for food soon
Awesome Food...Craft Beer is excellent...Service was great
This is a brewery with great opportunities.
Food was really good! Loved the southwest chicken Flatbread ??
The brews were simple and tasty. Really great vibe and staff.
Good beer good food recommended.
Love the beer, food and atmosphere! So glad to have a new place to stop!
My favorite watering hole. Great atmosphere. Wonderful staff. Always a good time.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
