I cannot rave about this place enough. We hosted my 10-year-old's birthday party here. From the moment I found this place and met the owner, to the actual party, the team at Odyssey VR Lounge has been amazing. Vanessa assisted us with our party and she is a gem. I worked in events for almost two decades and know how difficult working events can be - especially with kids. She was kind, patient, and assisted me with every step of the party. She made hosting the party incredibly easy. I've never had someone f
Odyssey VR hosted my 9 year old's birthday party. The party area was large and had tables, and pizza from a local pizza place was included along with juice, water and other snacks. They also decorated and provided a glow stick for the kids. The kids had a great time playing VR games and they had staff ready and available for any hiccups. They have different themed rooms with different games to choose from. Even some of the adults got involved and they had a blast too. I heard a few of the kids say that they
We hired the Odyssey team to host a VR tent at our company party. It was SO fun! The team brought everything and set it up themselves. They were very nice and explained everything. We played a few shooter games, but the fast-food challenge was my favorite! Hilarious. I would 100% recommend hiring them for your next event, party, anything! My only regret is not booking them for longer :)
We just went to Odyssey for the third time last night to play one of their Zombie apocalypse games where you are trapped in NY and have to escape the city! Every time we have the best laughs and usually get a little bit of a workout in. We have gone with a small group as well as a big one and Odyssey is perfect for both. The staff is very nice and helpful and the studio is super clean. We are psyched to have such a fun VR center in our city!
We had a BLAST! You must go! It was all three of our first times (ages 14, 46, 54) with doing any virtual reality, so we did three games: First off we were in a virtual escape room in a haunted castle. Then we were fast food employees in charge of making burgers and serving ANGRY clients. (We were terrible and ended up covered in ketchup!) Then we were (of course) fighting Zombies! So dang FUN! And the price is way cheaper than any of the San Francisco VR sites. Go get 'em!
Eric and his team were great! He set us up with 5 games to choose from, and they were all a blast. This was my first time with VR and I'll definitely be trying it again.
I used Odyssey at a pool party and I couldn't recommend it enough!! I didn't really know what to expect and I'm so impressed! Eric and the team were super helpful and you won't regret using them!!
First experienced the setup at a work party and it was so much fun! I would definitely recommend them for all kinds of gatherings.
Very fun games and better with friends.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
