My friends and I come here every year and we did Cell Block 4 yesterday and it was an absolutely devastating loss. Today, we tried Blind Tiger Speakeasy and had the best time of our life! Walker is the best! So much fun and will definitely continue to come back for the other rooms!!! Thanks Walker for being an awesome game master and making this room a truly unforgettable experience. We've done several rooms here and have never been disappointed. Last night we did Raptor Revenge with host Alex. She was amazing and the room was incredible. This place has the best escape rooms I've ever done. Not exaggerating!

i wasn't expecting to be shackled today, but boy was i wrong! we completed a beautiful pirate themed escape room with multiple minutes to spare (beat that!) joey, what a talent you are. if it weren't for your witty clues and diligent work, we wouldn't have found the success that we did. we loved your photography! autumn, the silent guide, you kept our game running smooth and had a beautiful "can-do" attitude. wait until you see the delightful surprise from her at the end of your game! both joey and autumn

Great time! Good break from the heat! Garnet was really nice + lead our group throughout the whole time. We arrived early and the staff accommodated us to get in early - really appreciate that! We had a range of kids and adults and the Blind Tiger speak easy was perfect for our group. Would definitely recommend.

Had a great time escaping cell block. Ana was great to work with and helped us only when we asked. We had 9 people, and without hints, we surely would not have escaped! To be fair, 7 of them had never done an escape room. However, it was great fun and a good room for teamwork. My family has done many rooms and these prices are by far the best. The room was very well thought out and I recommend it for all.

We played Rest in Paradise and man let me tell you it was way more than we signed up for. I wont give it all away but this was one of the best escape rooms i have done in over 10 years of playing! 10/10 recommend this room even though it is one of the most difficult. The game Master was awesome and very into character on this one. The rest of my team were skeptical but came out the other side with smiles and saying they had a blast!

This was our first time in an escape room. Our family of four had fun even though we didn't "escape" in time. The room was very detailed and had lots of different puzzles/challenges to complete. I would recommend reading the rooms description before going in. There's no introduction before starting your adventure. There's just a rules video. Overall a fun experience.

We had a group of nine and every single one of us agreed that this was a blast! Booking online was extremely easy, arrival and check-in was super easy. Garnett, our guide, made the experience even more fun. The room we did was a little tricky and everyone did something that helped us escape. We are going to make this a yearly tradition. Our family had a great time in the Mutiny escape room. It was challenging & so well designed. we have experienced many escape rooms in different states, this was the best so far. The guides were there to assist but only when you needed a nudge. All ages (10-60+ in our group) were instrumental in solving the clues. So much fun! We highly recommend OB-X escapes for an activity.

We had a great time doing the Raptor Revenge escape room! Walker was our game master for the evening and he was super funny and helpful when we got stuck. Very, very fun game ? highly recommend! ?? A great way to spend time with family! The room was challenging but very engaging & interesting!

Our party of 8 had a great experience here and Penelope was a fantastic guide! She knew just when to offer helpful hints since it was several of our parties first time in an escape room and even offered to take a picture of our party at the end which we really appreciated! We called shortly before their last time slot for the night and they were very accommodating so that we could play. Highly recommend visiting them!

First time here! My group did the Cold Case Murder room based in the 80s. This one had clever puzzles and some jump scares. We had a blast and our guide Lexi was wonderful. We received hints when we needed them and our team of 6 was able to each have our own tasks. Hope to come back and try another room! $35 per person and buy them ahead of time. They book up fast.

We had an absolute blast at this escape room! The puzzles were clever, challenging, and incredibly satisfying to solve. As big Jurassic Park fans, we opted to take on Raptor Revenge. We have been to some poorly executed escape rooms before so we can be highly critical. We thought they did a great job with the decorations and functionality of the puzzles. It was enjoyable for the newbies in our group as well as our more seasoned. We would recommend this business for those interested in a good time! Our game hosts, Penelope and Michael, did a great job explaining the rules and being judicious with the clues. Thank you!

We had a great time! We are pretty inexperienced in terms of escape rooms, and Lannie was the perfect guide! She was great at sensing when we really needed an hint and when to let us try and push through the puzzle on our own. We can't wait to come back again in the very near future!

This was my first time ever doing an escape room, we went as a private group for a work team building activity. I was a bit hesitant at first I do admit but the staff was friendly. The escape room we did was mutiny on the lark. This one does require you to be physically chained together with your colleagues which was another new experience. Amazing experience! 10/10 everything. We did the hardest room (Rest in Peace motel) with only 4 of us and (kind of) almost escaped! It was a lot of fun. Definitely worth every penny but also definitely for adults and maybe older teens. Set my expectations very high for any future escape rooms!

I'm a non-local who came for a visit with my buddies in the area and i found this place to be a delightful experience! Unlike escape rooms ive been to in the past, here the staff is friendly, welcoming, and as for the escape room experience, the whole room was filled with character and creativity the whole way through, and really encouraged each person to be themselves throughout the mystery. We had so much fun doing an escape room here! It was the favorite part of our vacation. Anna did the best job giving us just enough hints to love us along but not so much so that we felt rushed or unproductive.

We did Raptor Revenge and had an awesome time. It's was a multi room experience with lots of cool obstacles and things to solve. Antonia and Michael were our guides and did a fantastic job of guiding us along when we needed a small hint. Our team of four managed to survive and escape with just under 2 minutes to spare with a raptor breathing down our necks. Thanks OBX Escape Rooms for a great time. This was my first time ever doing any kind of escape room, and let me tell you, it was FANTASTIC!! My group did the Rest in Peace Motel, and we all had such a blast. Being my first ever escape room (and me being kind of a scaredy-cat), I was pretty nervous and didn't know what to expect, but the guides were extremely reassuring and answered any questions I had. We had a blast doing this escape room! We did COLD CASE MURDER OF DAWN RENEE- Private 60 min Game. We had a family of 5, age range 14-75, and everyone enjoyed it and had so much fun! Garnet was fantastic and provided great clues to help us escape! I highly recommend this place!!!

We did Raptor's Revenge and the room itself was well put together and very high caliber for an escape room. Cool technology elements and unique for escape room puzzles. We brought our 7 and 9 y.o. along because kids... Dinosaurs... It goes together. The first thing you see entering the room has two realistic dummies with bloody wounds and tortured expressions that made my daughter cry immediately and both my kids had to leave the room they were so scared. It has become tradition for my friends, wife, and I to go to OB-Xscape Rooms when we come to visit. That's, at the very least, once a year. We love this place and we love watching the growth they have. It's such an awesome, clean, well done escape room place. I hope they're around for many years to come!

This was our first experience with an escape room and the bar was set high. So well done with great detail and our guide Autumn was fantastic. We will definitely do this again!

Escape room was the best ive done!! We had 7 guys and a 5 month old. Lany (our guide) was great and gave us the right hints at the right time so we could have the full experience and escape with 30 seconds to spare!!

The room was challenging, but that's the point! The staff was welcoming (and helpful when hints were needed). Will be back in the future for more fun! Would love to see more things that involve two actions at the same time to get an item!

My son and I had a blast. Joey and Autumn were a huge help. This is probably our last trip down here, so no repeat business from us, but hopefully this review will send some their way.

Me and my girlfriend came today and it was a super smooth process and the game host Penelope was so nice and accommodating to any hints we needed! The game was interesting and exciting and had some jump scares and plot twists! 10/10 recommend!!

My family and I have been to this escape room almost annually since 2015. They do a great job setting up rooms with not only locks but other puzzles and riddles to decipher. We love getting away for some adult time and working together with everyone?s strengths to escape! Every staff member has been great! They are encouraging and friendly. Went here to celebrate my daughters birthday while we were here on vacation in the Outer Banks. We had so fun. The escape room was emersive and super fun. We did an easier one and we brought her younger brothers, ages 8 and 10 and they had fun and could participate. We barley made it out in time but it was so fun winning the escape room and it was hard enough that we only had a little more than a minute left on the clock. I've done over 100 escape rooms, and this place is easily in my top three when it comes to immersive theming and creative design. During our visit, we completed three rooms, each with its own strengths and challenges. 1. Dinosaur-Themed Room This room felt like stepping into Jurassic Park. The set design was stunning, and the puzzles were tough?even for experienced players. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners, but if you're up for a challenge, it's well worth it. This was our second visit to OB-Xscape Rooms. First go around we did the Cell Block and failed miserably. This time we did the Blind Tiger Speakeasy - and actually completed it. The entire experience (from booking to solving the room) was phenomenal. The staff is beyond helpful/friendly and Raven was an excellent tour guide. We were able to book the room the day before we went, which was fantastic since it's usually difficult to book anything for a party of 12 people. I'm hopeful they'll be able to add more

This is an AWESOME escape room! I have probably done over 20 and this is a very high quality one. The room itself was cool and well conceived, the guidance and clues were perfect and didn't give too much away, and our game guide Adeline was very professional and helpful. We did the raptor room with 1 clue and escaped with 14 minutes to spare. Definitely recommend for a groups of at least 6!!

We had a great time doing the cold case room! Our guiding ghost, Callie (or maybe Kalleigh? Sorry if we spelled it wrong) made it extra fun for us. She helped when we needed it through some clever hints. We'll be back!

Penelope was great ?? Tried Raptor Revenge but failed ?? Puzzles were medium difficult but some of them were not clearly marked to install in correct position so made solving almost impossible. This is our third time there doing different rooms and would for sure go back.

It was a fun experience. We did the Raptor's Revenge which was a hard one. The only thing I wasn't happy about was that it was only 60 minutes. I've done other escape rooms and the standard time is 90 minutes.

Had a great time with the family in the Cold Case room. Fun theming, and our game guide Walker was great throughout. We'll definitely be back sometime in the future.

We love Escape rooms and always try to get one in on vacation! Let me tell you... this place was amazing as soon as you walked thru the door! Enthusiastic young staff! We did the Blind Tiger Speak Easy, which has quite a high difficulty level. I paid no attention to that when booking. The room was GORGEOUS! One of the most well appointed in any Escape rooms we've done! The puzzles were top notch! SO FUN! We came right down to the last clue and lost! But such a wonderful room! Kenzie was amazing! She handled all of our extended family?s needs and accessibility issues with grace and humor and as the eldest daughter / cat herder, I really appreciate that! It was a really hard room but we all had lots of fun and bonded over the puzzle solving.

OBXcape has been a staple of our annual vacations. You will not regret going to this establishment. It's not a room you escape but an experience, Each game I've played has been multiple rooms with special lighting and sound effects fitting the theme, the owners go so far as to even give us prison jumpsuits to wear in CellBlock!. We have done multiple rooms here. We love escape rooms and frequent them. We have always had great hosts/game masters at OB-Xscape Rooms. We love that the rooms are interactive, immersive, and they have very cool/interesting stories and decor. We will be back here soon to try out the new rooms they have in 2020. Exceptional escape room. My family and I have done at least a dozen escape rooms, and these are top tier. We conquered "Mutiny on the Lark," and it was a totally immersive experience from the sets, the puzzles, and even the background noises/music. The puzzles were well thought out but also challenging in the best way possible. We all had so much fun we booked "Raptor Revenge" for the following day as soon as we left. Highly recommend this escape room!

On vacation and was looking for something fun to do. So glad we came across this place. We all had a great time!! Shout out to Allison and Rory who did a fantastic job. OMG! SO MUCH FUN! My family and I did the cell block escape and we had a blast! It was our first ever escape room experience and we couldn't have asked for anything better! It was difficult, but they have just the right clues help us without taking away from the challenge. Ivan, our guide was so awesome.
