Oak Mountain Lanes

We had blast at Oak Mountain Lanes. We got there at 7pm on a Friday and don't wait for a lane. We played for two hours and left so happy. The lanes were in great shape, the employees were very helpful. We look forward to returning.

Love the place! The guys at the pro shop are always helpful and have done a great job on the balls I've purchased from them. I only wish that we, as old people and out-of-towners, could play by the game rather than by the hour but we still have a good time anyway!

Wonderful experience. Splatter Til It Matters Autism Support of Alabama Connect Social Group me up and we had a blast! The staff at the counter was amazing and delivered outstanding customer service. They were extremely attentive and had smiles on their faces each time we approached them. The place was busy but it was a wonderful outing.

Excellent venue for bowling, although the lanes may not capture your bowling speed. It might have been specific to my lane, but regardless, it's a pleasant location. The games are enjoyable!

My kids and I really enjoy this place. They have a little something for everyone. It is family owned and has been since it opened in the 90's(I didn't know this)The staff is helpful and kind.

We enjoyed it and the young lady that checked us in was very nice. However the snack bar wasn't available. The soda and candy machines only took cash. I'm a horrible bowler and asked if they would put the bumpers up for, us Adults and were told "No" only for children .?? WHY NOT???

Great place of entertainment. Very clean and friendly staff. Masks, social distancing and hand sanitizing throughout the building. The bowling setup is a lil different than the norm. Whereas, you usually setup your own info and players, here they set it up for you. The only downside was the menu in the snack bar. It was a bit pricey, but hey, I had my grandkids with me. We had a children's birthday party and 12 kids bowling and then went with the climbing harnesses. The employees were very attentive to them when they were afraid of heights and help them out and all the children had fun. It was a blast and now my daughter wants to have her birthday party there which we will be doing.

We had an amazing time with our 2 year old son today. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. The place is clean and smoke/vape free. The arcade games are also a blast. Will be sure to be back!

Was thrown out of the lounge during an event when everyone else was able to stay. I was the same as them but they were able to stay.

My first time there. We had a great time. It was a work outing, we ate we drank and ofcourse bowled. Nice and clean. Looked very up to date and modern. TV's everywhere. Had a great selection of adult beverages and the food was delicious.

We love this place, we visit on a regular basis and enjoy it very much. Lanes are great, deli food is good and there's a bar with pool tables also two game rooms . Family Fun nights are great here, Thursday night is ladies night and ladies bowl free from 9 till midnight guys $13.65 and half price mixed drinks as well this night. We enjoy it very much, after 9 pm it's cosmic bowling black lights on very fun.

It's been awhile since I have been to Oak Mtn Bowling but they have made a lot of changes. The biggest being the arcade with virtual games and a rope course. The games won't take cash or credit so you need to get a game card from the machine.

I love the expanded game room. My first time back since a hip and knee replacement. The lanes were a bit dry but it was Friday night. We had a great time celebrated my lovely wife's B-Day! We met some cool people that night bowling next to us.

Been a weekly customer for 3 years and after tonight we will be taking our business to trussville they have ruined my daughters birthday she was so upset because they don't let 10 year olds use the bumpers and she has a lot of trouble throwing a ball

Our family had a blast playing games and bowling. They have hourly bowling and lady free on Friday. They have lots of good prizes to pick from. Just a great family friendly place. Good for a stroller and wheelchair.

Not the best experience. Had a birthday party there for the second time for my daughter. The first party went really well, this party not so. Let's just say it was definitely not worth $350. Clean and nice place!!!! Shoes, lanes, and bowling balls are all in great shape. All American and love that American flag proudly on display!!!! Safe environment with an off duty police officer and staff that keep things going strong all evening! Also, there's a nice sound system, plenty of lanes, good animations on score screens & the food was decent. And....Prices were reasonable for sure. Great spot to get your bowl on!

LOVE! We had around an hour before we had to be somewhere so we swung by and bowled a game. The staff were friendly and eager to help with whatever we needed.

I feel like this place does need to consider dropping their prices on non-prime hours. However I feel like the price is justified during prime hours, and I understand why they charge by the hour during the weekend because of how busy it gets, and needing to be able to predict when a lane is open. It is a fun atmosphere but I feel like it's too popular for how big it is. The staff are very friendly, but the waits and the cost are just a lot because of how good the venue is.

Great place to bowl! It offers leagues for all ages, birthday parties and free bowling for kids over the summer.

This place allows men to go into the woman?s restroom this place is supposed to be a family environment but allow for adult men to go into a restroom that has little girls going in and out would not recommend at all going here for the sake of your kids please be aware of your surroundings

One of our favorite places to bowl! Good bar food and drinks. Be sure to call if you are looking forward to cosmic bowling, we couldn't ever figure out why they never had the blacklights on when we were there for cosmic bowling and the pricing changes where you can only pay per hour instead of per game which isn't advertised. Also pretty sure the staff shut down an hour before it was advertised to close on our last visit. We visit pretty regularly, just during earlier parts of the day if we can help it.

Lots of fun for the family. We enjoyed bowling and playing in the arcade. The manager there is so helpful. We will be back very soon.

Place is a nice hangout. Concessions are a little slow at times but food is good. Most lanes seem to work good and most issues are handled promptly. Pro shop is very good to deal with also.

Staff is very helpful with any kind of party. There's been a lot of improvements since the last time I was there.

We went just before 10pm. Lanes were at %50 capacity. Staff had NO ONE at the register and would not help me find a ball and i explained i could not handle a 16lb ball??

The arcade was a good add to the bowling alley. Gives the kids a chance to go back and forth.

Just left with the kids with the intention of having a fun night but was met with a rude lady at the counter. She had a nasty attitude towards me and my family and at 8:30 she said we had to pay per hr and not per game which would have costed us more money. Then she gave us an ultimatum that only worked out in her favor so we decided to go elsewhere to attempt to enjoy our holiday. Please get friendlier staff to deal with paying customers.

I handed the young man at the counter 2 20 dollar bills and I know for a fact I did. I told him, when he handed me only change back. He refused to even acknowledge the problem. I asked for a manager and one.never came! Be careful when paying in cash at this establishment as I am out almost 18 dollars because I didn't have any change. It might not seem like a lot of money to you, but it is to me, because I work hard for my little bit of money!

All the workers were super friendly! Snacks came out in a reasonable time after ordering. We had a great experience! Shoes were clean as well and sizes for all!

Had a work party here. It's was fun, but there was a high school tournament going on...so no alcohol sales. It would have been nice to be informed of this when I booked. Additionally, the place is way too bright

Insufficient balls for older adults: need hole spacing for man's hand and lighter weight ball (15/16 lb too much). Pin reset stalled and lost play time, because of it; couldn't even get 2 games in an hour. Not worth Friday-Sunday hourly rate.

Both times myself and my son have been here, we've had a great time. It was both on weekends and there was a short wait due to reservations on some lanes, but they had a system to send us text messages when our lane was ready. While we waited, we got some food which was very good for the price. My son loves the arcade area. We've played laser tag once, and he added that he loves that it has a second floor! Haven't tried the rope course yet, but we are looking forward to that. The staff is always very friend

We spent $250 in this establishment and accrued roughly 50k points on their games. Upon requesting to cash them in, they informed is they only open the redemption center on the weekends. Being from out of state and not available to return on the weekend this will add up to a lot of money spent for ill return. However, great bowling and clean facilities.

The young men at that were working the register were arguing, loudly, in front of customers. I asked about bowling (wanting to be in line or prepay). He told me they did not do either. This was at 8:40 pm. I paid for both boys laser tag, we ate(there), went back up and the other guy took our name. 1.25 hours later. After that time, we walk from game room to bowling to see 4 lanes completely open. The first kid(with black glasses) we talked to told us there's still a wait. The same guy that said they couldn?

The have added a huge gameroom with a nice place for parents to relax while the kids play.

We had our company Xmas party there and it was a blast. Bowling, pool ,pizza and beer. Can't top that.

Went to a birthday party here last night. The arcade is nice. They have an in the air obstacle course I believe. The lanes were well maintained. They have a bar and a restaurant. Food is priced well. Everyone had fun. Everything was clean. Staff was very friendly and attentive. This is a really great place to take family.

Id leave 0 stars if that was an option. Don't waste your time or your gas money coming anytime during the week. They leave ZERO lanes open for any walk in customers at night. Even though some of the lanes didn't have anyone on them they still don't care to accommodate customers. So basically the only time you can walk in and play is for the ridiculous prices they charge on the weekends. I'll definitely be going to any other bowling alley other than this one from here on out. We had an awful customer service interaction which was more than made up for after reaching out to management. The situation was handled relatively quickly and we were assured the gap in customer service was corrected. Their internet was down so I had to go get cash. Showed up originally around 4:45 and was told it was $17 for an hour per lane, came back with the cash a few minutes after 5:00 and was told it would

The bartender is always friendly and manages to juggle many guests at once with a good attitude. The snack bar is reasonably priced and the place is generally pretty clean!

Just finished up my game, I wanted to thank Sarah and show recognition for her kindness. I spilled some drink and she very kindly cleaned it up for me. I felt bad, but she was lovely and understanding. Very fun place and Tuesdays are half off beer days! Fun times :)

We are regular customers here and always have a great time. We had a problem with one of the games this weekend and Johnathan was very helpful in getting it fixed. He always has a great attitude whenever we come and has outstanding customer service skills! I would highly recommend Oak Mountain Lanes to anyone looking for a good time with the family!

Very nice place. They had some good service. The place was very busy.They have a lot of bowling lanes and a nice arcade area. This was our first time coming, so we took the kids there and everyone had so much fun. Be prepared to spend about $100 for 4 people. Unless you purchase food and drinks. That would be for the hour of bowling, shoes and credit for the arcade.

$30 a person seems like a lot for an hour but it was very easy to set up the game and you don't have to do anything on e your current round is done, you can just keep going which was nice. It's pretty clean and the food smells good.

I booked a party for my daughter and everything was amazing! The activities were fun! We bowled, Played laser tag, ropes course and played games in the arcade area. It felt good not to worry about the clean up or organizing the activities. We just had to show up and have fun! I highly recommend!

Just the right vibe we needed for a chill Thursday evening out. We played a few arcade games then did 2hrs of bowling all in one spot. The atmosphere was relaxed and the music wasn't to loud. Staff were friendly and the food smelled good.

I've gone quite a few times and I have to say each time was better than the last!!! Arcade was cool really loud, but cool none the less. Bowling was really fun our lane started to have trouble at the end, but overall we enjoyed ourselves.

Depending on when you go and what time there can be a long wait I had to wait for a little over a hour and a half for an hour of bowling but other then that I had a lot to do while waiting I spent most of my time in the waiting area but did check out the arcade there's a good bit to do and even a small ticket store in the back we had glow bowl on and it was fun even later on in the night it was very packed we could barely find a parking spot but most definitely will be back to work on my bowling ??

Ok bowling was fun and laser tag but the arcade is way too expensive. In laser tag even tough we were out they kept shooting us and getting us out without a chance to shoot them. And the rope course good price but i was moving too quick on the course and when I got to the zip line the guy first was goofing off and breaking rules then he yelled at me and threatened to kick me off the course. Instead of stopping me and camly saying hey man slow down its not a race and try not to hurt yourself but he yelled at

This facility is quite dirty. Unclean from the front entrance to the bathrooms and Arcade. Food saftey was a definite concern. The real issue is that the Arcade is unsafe for children under 10. We witnessed a group of 10-12 year old boys that were bullying patreons and children today. They were demanding free games from other guests and stealing prizes and credits. I was reallybad.

The food was amazing and the kids enjoyed their time there. The arcade is fun as well this is a great place for family fun.

Place is awesome we had an amazing time first time I took my son's mom we're not together anymore my son lives with me but I took her my son is two best friends and I still have cards for the game room there but we did everything we did games we did they did the jungle gym the ropes up top then we went bowling I don't know what her name is I wish I knew but the girl that worked at the front desk was the nicest girl the girl that worked inside the game room very very friendly it was one of the best times tha

Clean, fun. But very expensive to bowl. And the pizza was ridiculously expensive. It was strangely good though! We had my daughter's 17th birthday party there. I guess as parties go, it wasn't that expensive. It was $120 for 6 teens to bowl for 2 hours, and one large pizza. That's ridiculous! Still 4 stars because they had such a great time!

Oak Mountain Lanes is an awesome place to have a birthday party for a child. Great atmosphere,clean, and good food. Our hostess Mia was excellent,helpful.and very customer oriented. She was a great hostess. We will come back.

This bowling alley with 35 lanes ( I think ) was renovated last year. It is very spacious and has lots of seating. This year, the game room was expanded and is HUGE! with all new games and a climbing rail that runs around the ceiling! Oh, and of course the staff there is always nice and happy to help in any situation.

Great times here! Just wished they had more balls with bigger finger holes because even when the place is only half full I can't find any. Can usually only get a ball with bigger holes if the place doesn't have many people in it. Fyi- I really don't feel that I even have thick fingers, It seems more that the balls are just made for kid fingers

When it's busy, the food isn't prepared the best and they need to make sure the games work properly in the arcade. Replace the warped balls for basketball games.

Great place for family fun. Good selection of league bowling to fit any schedule. Recently updated. Great new look! Bar with pool tables and darts. Two arcade rooms for the kids. Oak Mountain lanes is one of the best places to have a kids birthday party at a reasonable price. Pro shop with a knowledgeable staff and a decent selection of equipment. Snack bar with great burgers and pizza. Large private party room.

VERY good bowling center. Good prices, top of the line equipment, lanes well oiled, good atmosphere and friendly guy in the pro shop. If I'm ever in Hoover again, I will be coming back.

We went in the middle of the day due to concerns of the pandemic. For some reason the desk worker put the only 6 groups of people completely together without skipping any rows. We didn't even finish our game since everyone was clustered together. It is completely possible to socially distance here but for some reason she wasn't concerned or cared about spreading us out.

Pretty great deals on games, drinks, and food, and an overall fun atmosphere. I recommend ladies night on Thursday, when ladies bowl free and the food specials are awesome. My only issue was they didn't have any bowling balls that were my preferred weight but also fit my hand size. It was still lots of fun, though.

Bought 2 hours worth of bowling but ending up waiting in line fo 20ish minutes of that time because the lane kept malfunctioning and the reset from the lane wouldnt work. If they are going to charge by the hour the lanes should work properly or be reset swiftly without having to wait in line.
