Customer Reviews

I'm so glad I stumbled upon O-Nett Gaming in Ottawa! The first thing that struck me was the incredible variety of games and gaming-related merchandise on offer. From classic console games to the latest PC releases, and from collectible figurines to gaming accessories, O-Nett Gaming has something for every type of gamer. But what really sets this store apart is the exceptional customer service. The owner is always friendly, approachable, and more than happy to offer recommendations or chat about the latest

They have a bit of everything games but I came in from a Udisc spotting and it's not to be slept on. Big selection and fair prices Add on: I went to turn in some cards that may possibly be worth something without spending the time to look myself and I was offered what I feel was a fair price. You'll find honesty and intregity when dealing with these folks

A gem of a video game store. They had a wide selection of video games from current to vintage, all with competitive pricing. They also had a section for card games as well. There is a smallish arcade with pinball machines and some other classics for a decent price. If you like games, definitely stop by. Their staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Thank you for ripping me off saverly bad on all my Trade ins!!! I wont be selling anything more to you! Really?? 40$ in yu-gi-oh cards 80$ in MTG and alot of other stuff you handed me 45$ cash?. Good day sir!

This place was really cool to shop around in. Tons of vintage games and figures it would take hours to look at everything. I came in for MTG and they had a huge variety of sets to choose from. So many different set bundles and pre release kits as well. It was fun to pick a few packs that I haven't seen in awhile. Really neat place

So much nerdy stuff to buy. The owner is friendly and always helpful. I go there mostly for mtg stuff. I always spend more money than I attend too. Lol

Brought in $180 worth of cards USED TCG PLAYER FOR PRICE. And get offered $50 cash or $70 in store credit. This place is a joke. MOST card shops offer 70% value in store credit. Nope not this place. Try less than 50%.

Great selection of games from all systems to include retro games. Small selection of disc golf disc's. Small arcade that you py to play in.

Decided to take my daughter here for her birthday, what a mistake!! Have older games only half of them were even working. The upstairs portion wasn't even open which was disappointing. Place was dirty, didn't offer any refreshments besides bottled water. If you did buy a water you had to sit by the entrance, cause it wasn't allowed in the rest of the areas. Had 8 pinball machines only 3 of them that actually worked. The rest were lighted but not functioning. If they had a way to do a half star or no starts

This place was so cool to stop at! There is so much stuff in there related to gaming, and most brought back great memories. We paid $5 for an hour of unlimited play and it was a lot of fun. I love pinball machines! We bought some Pok?mon cards for our son and he really enjoyed his time at the store. Would definitely recommend this place!!

It was pretty cool, exept there were theese Shark guys out there, I completed with the sharks leader, I lost, still pretty good tho

Great time. Awesome store and very reasonable gameplay prices. I am 40 years old and it's definitely a fun trip down memory lane. Definitely will be back!

I've been here about 5 times this month, and every time I enter the store I get this homey feeling. Employees are friendly and helpful, great nostalgic atmosphere, great selection of games old and new. They even have an arcade section that I have yet to try out. All in all it's a great spot for games, cards, movies etc. Would highly recommend over any GameStop!!!

The worker there is always very helpful and nice. My son loves getting the pass to play the arcade games in the back. We come to Ottawa just for this store.

This place rules. Friendly staff, large selection of retro games and fair prices!

Reasonably priced, not the biggest selection but WAY better than what you'll find online or at GameStop, they have a section where you can play classic arcade games for like 15 bucks you get unlimited play with a section with limited console and games for groups to play together.

Amazingly nice staff, great value, fantastic prices, and great supply. The main employee who works there is super kind and smart when it comes to even the smallest of things. I find myself driving more than an hour to Ottawa just to visit this shop. It's a must stop, in my opinion. Edit: if I could give this place 6 stars, I would. Went there recently looking for vehicle magic cards. The employee that was working there took time out of his day to assist me in looking. The ONLY worker there taking time out o

Fun spot with a wide selection of retro games!

Great selection, unfortunately it is very disorganized and messy.

Staff was very nice and helpful ?? great selection on games and consoles ??

I just took my son in so that we could check it out & see if it would work for his birthday party. The selection of retro games & toys was impressive. It's a fun store to look around in. My issue was with the staff. We finished looking around and started asking how it would work for a party. The guy seemed like we were putting him out by having to answer our questions. We asked about the consoles and if we could "rent" or bring games from home or even buy games to play in the back, he responded with, "Whate

If you are looking for "vintage" games or game systems this place has a lot. They also had a few pinball machines and arcade style games. The store also had newer used games.

Kyle (the owner and proprietor) seems very knowledgeable about pretty much any nerd memorabilia you would want. Personally I browse his games selections the most since he has quite a good variety of vintage games for a fair price. He also has a pretty good trading card selection and the vintage arcade for 5$ is just a steal if you're into vintage gaming. His collectible selection is usually pretty varied and it changes constantly so if you see something you want you need to grab it or it may be gone. (Unles

This is the place to get your Magic Gathering Cards. Also find retro video games and modern. Their is also arcade machines you can buy pass for and play for hours. Best Part, their is a upstairs area we're you can play some Commander games. Won't find better place in over 60 miles. Highly Recommend.

Cannot be overstated how cool the place is, I feel overloaded & overwhelmed each time I visit (in a good way though). There is just so much, true the stock does change but there is always such a healthy selection! Recently bought a game there I did not expect to see in ANY store, let alone the price I got it for! If you are looking for a Game Shop this is it! I can't shop there as often as I would like to, oh but its just too much fun when I can go in there to by something.

This place has an incredible selection of games, old to new. Not just that, but figures, collectibles, and cards. I go there every once in a while, and their items have pretty good prices. The staff is always nice and open to any questions, and there's always something to find there that fits any person. I definitely recommend stopping there.

Quite an impressive collection of games for a variety of systems with some more uncommon games at fair prices. The employee was incredibly chill and helpful even when my cohorts and I came a little closer to closing time than we probably should have. Very accommodating and I cant wait to visit again when I have more time to browse all the treasures there!

Great game shop. Love the arcade and for the area you won't find much better. A few of the machines are down every now and then however the owner is good at making sure they are up and running. They also have magic the gathering, pokemon and trading cards. Retro consoles and games as well as new. Worth a stop definitely of you're in the area.

If you're looking to relive the glory days of retro gaming, this is your one-stop shop! Trading cards, retro games, and even arcades! I can't begin to explain the child-like joy I receive from playing "Turtles In Time" at this location. This isn't even to mention the extensive movie and comic book collection the store has! Love this location and look forward to the many times I will return. :) Also, check the bathroom for a surprise! Remember: THE CAKE IS A LIE.

Everything yes. Fair prices great range. It's a classic arcade not a pathetic modern one. The store aswell is banger to, you can always find something hidden, and always for a good price! This place is great for all ages interests in gaming and will always give great incite.

A great little game store with a good selection of video games, card games, board games, toys, and other collectibles. Also has an arcade one can play at. Located in an old church so definitely has an interesting feel compared to most strip mall type stores.

The shop is awesome, with a good range of games, cards, comics, and other media (including peripherals). The arcade is fun, but the last few times I visited the arcade did seem a bit neglected. Pinball wall was pretty solid, however.

Large selection, prices were very reasonable on most items. Found a few games and cards, kids enjoyed the arcade. Highly recommend, will visit again

Overall the owner is nice and the arcade games work great for the most part the only issue is some of the pinball tables have minor issues like flippers not working right or certain parts of the tables not working but the rest of the game works the stern TMNT works great though and so does fire I couldn't try starship troopers or f14 tomcat because the weren't on at the moment overall I would give them a 8/10

Has everything a collector could want from weird consoles long forgotten to boxed Black Box NES games. Kyle was cool, we talked about the used retro market for a bit and he was able to answer all of the questions I had regarding the store inventory. Prices are a bit average, but it's nice to have a physical store and not just ebay and Facebook Market.

Such a nice local game shop/arcade. The owner is always kind and answers any questions I have. The day pass for the arcade is such a great price. We come here often.

The young kids and the oldest big kids (dad's) too loved playing the games the entire time without feeding quarters!

Lots of video games, consoles, and peripherals and there are DVDs and Blu-rays. Arcade machines and pinball tables in the back. Very odd layout in an old church though.

KYLE'S SHOP IS JUST THE COOLEST! Find tons of games here!! He is very knowledgeable about gaming/video games/systems, and he is an all around pretty nice dude. ?? Great business, and my brother and I enjoy going there for our game fix. Thanks Kyle!!

Nice little comic and trading card shop to geek out at. Has video games and consoles for sale along with other comic, show, and game related items. Has a lounge room arcade for small parties and overall just a nice place to hang out P.S: it's popular pokestop and pokemon go group gathering location in town

I Am Really Happy With Kyle And His Business He Sold Me a Xbox 360 New Wireless Controller And Was Less Then $100 I'm So Happy With My Purchase ????????

Awesome selection of games and systems updates almost every day if not. Wide selection and allot of good comics and movies too. Just could be a little better priced on some items

Probably the most unusual gaming store. Located inside of an old Catholic Church, O-Nett has a wide selection of retro and modern games, as common as Madden 08 to as rare as Little Samson. They also have a small selection of arcade games and pinball machines. Would take points off for the lack of good parking spots, but it's downtown Ottawa, you can find a spot anywhere!

It's a small place but, if you need a place to table top game then you can do that here. They also have board games available for you to play. They also have a vintage arcade section that also has pinball machines, Contra, and a TV set up with a 64 and a game to play. It only costs $6 per person and once you pay you get access to the table area and the arcade and everything is set up so it's free, no quarters/tokens needed. Sometimes some of the games don't work but, again they are all super old so it's to

Neat place in an old church. All kinds of gaming stuff is sold here. Another section to play old school video games. There is a room upstairs you can set up and rent for parties. My kid had a blast at a Birthday party here.

Card selection is ever changing and the staff is wonderfully helpful; the arcade is pretty dismal, but with time that might improve.

They have an incredible selection of retro-current gen videogames, disc golf items, funko pops and other toys. The arcade is a nice touch as well.

It's kinda a shame, I like this place and the staff are good. But the place triggers the OCD in me like crazy. Nothing is really organized, there's stuff piled everywhere in a messy fashion. Prices are a bit high on there singles, but I think this is because theyre set at the time they receive them, and then not updated to be competitive to both online and other game stores as well as the fluctuating way of meta's etc.

Great place to grab singles or bulk for trading cards, retro gaming supplies too!

One of the best game stores I've had the pleasure of visiting. Wide selection of many different types of media-related things, not just videogames. Fair prices for the most part.

Was looking for a SVR 2008 for ps3 in the entire tri County area. Heard of o nett and messaged them and asked if they had it. They did, and they put it to the side for me case and manual. Lots of fun stuff and great staff!

Really neat place. I think its inside an old church. They sell all sorts of old games and systems. It is a repurposed givers back to life of everything there establishment. They test it themselves. Plus bonus for me, they have an oldschool repurposed arcade. It was so much fun. You pay for a wrist band and can play as long as you want. It's worth checking out if you love games of old

I've done a lot of buying and trading here and have had nothing but good experiences. I had one issue with my SNES that I got there is called after hours and left a message and got a call back. Great selection and great service!!

I love coming in here! I'd much rather support a small business, and I enjoy finding old games I played as a kid!

Has good games but just up front lies about his used systems went through 3 in a couple weeks almost 4 but the one we were testing before being bought quit working before it was purchased while being tested at his little monitor he guarantees 10 days return and refused a 4 day return on an Xbox 360 that is so full of dust cat hair and even some unknown object I dug out and refused to refund it I'd take your business to the stained glass eye for any systems unless they're boxed or you want to get ripped off

Brought in an old N64 game in awesome condition. Wanted to know more about it and if it worked or not to discuss a negotiation, but the twerpy guy that looked like he's off the big bang theory told me it "isn't worth my time" after flat out offering 30$ for it. My apologies for assuming a non corporate experience from this place.

I've always been able to find a gem of a game here, no matter what. Currently I'm in the midst of collecting all the Final Fantasy games and they always have at least one I happen to be missing at the time. Keep rocking guys!

They are very friendly and helpful with whatever you need. O-Nett has older games I couldn't find anywhere else. I always have an amazing experience every time I go in.

It's a good place and would be even better if they took better care for their equipment. Some machines are hard to play with because some bottoms dont work properly. Other than that it was a okay first experience.

Large selection of games from current and older systems. They also have a large Funko selection

A retro gamers paradise. I've never been in such a nostalgic gaming store. I can go on all day but this is an awesome place and the employees are good people

I thought that this place was great...I have been looking for stuff that was in there for a long time and it was all in there, I got a Nintendo 64 for 40 bucks and it works pretty well. And the games are pretty cheap in there, plus they work pretty well, I got an Xbox 360 hard drive for 20 bucks and it works well.

My son is autistic and loves video games but cannot always express right away what question he has about a video game. Kyle, the owner, is very patient with him and allows him time to explain and is ALWAYS very nice when explaining about different games to him.

Cool place, some of the people that go there stink.

Always something new to check out from games to figures great prices and a good time in the arcade or table top game area!

price gouging... buys for $0.50 sells back at $20.00.....but impressive selection on wide range of games and systems....have had bad experiences with a disk but offered exchange or resurfacing so good business over all, most prices are better than gamestop too but dont expect to save on new titles nor recover what youve spent by returning stuff later....

Awesome place! Wish I had more time to spend. So much vintage games and new era games. Also has a arcade! Will be back soonwith more time to spare.

Great place for retro gaming, Magic cards, and the arcade is a great value. Arcade wristbands are daily, so take a break, go grab a drink, and head on back for more fun.

Store has some good rare finds but is very cluttered.

Awesome I was looking for old games and new ones I got all of the ones I needed no more wait 4 weeks or less for 2 or more games people come to this place it's awesome they even have rare ps2 games it's awesome come

Nice place, large selection of games and collectibles. They even have an arcade.

No music playing, no games on until you ask for them to be turned on. Lots of Sega Madden 2001, etc. games. If you're looking for something super cheap, try this place.

Had a birthday party here and it was such a reasonable price. The kids all had a blast. The party room was a great space.

Great prices and has everything to offer for gamers and card players. Always has just about every console in stock.

Terrible place he gave us an Xbox 360 that smokes when playing a game and Ethernet port is broken no hard drive and a broken controller the Xbox is also cracked reset button torn off hard drive tag torn and plastic pieces broken and other bad stuff I don't recommend this place and be careful of what you buy there don't let the guy rip you off with something broken

I purchased the wrong cord when I went back to return it they we very nice and helpful, great experience.

My teens rave about this place they love the retro gaming there I myself think the owner is very rude n takes advantage of the kids trying to sell trade or buy games valley pawn are more friendly and alot cheaper

O-nett is the best retail shop in ottawa! Kyle is very knowledgeable and more than willing to answer any questions you may have ??

Friendly alot of games and comic books recommended this place and they will help if you can't find what your looking for

Wonderful little shop, went there to browse mtg and ended up spending over $100 ????????? Great experience.

Has great retro and current game selections and consoles. Cool collectibles and arcade area.

Hands down the best place to go for retro video games anywhere. Great service, great selection, helpful staff.

Great place for old and new school games. People play magic here they have tournaments sometimes and also buy magic cards.

Great selection of vintage games, but I wish they had a better return policy.

This place has no wheelchair access it is for those who love gaming. There is an arcade but you have to pay a fee to play the games

Great looking place. Lots of stuff. People should get paid more. I hope that they stay around for a long time.

This place is very nice. Well organized and owner is very knowledgeable yet not conceited about it. A nice place to go to relax and shop.

Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. Amazing selection at great prices. Definitely worth checking out.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
