Customer Reviews

Had an amazing time bowling. It was 36$ for an hour and 3$ shoe rental per person. We went on a monday when bowling was 12$ buy in per person and 25cents a game after that. We ended up spending 20$ on arcade games and got 3 turns in their camera motion game, 2 rounds of ski ball, 2 round of a clown game, and wakamole. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will be returning soon, and often.

We had a great time the staff was so nice and helpful. The pizza was really good.

We spent over 100 dollars on laser tag and arcade games, which got each kid got two or three toys and the guy at the counter getting them for the kids was on his phone and had an AirPods in and one of the kids wanted something that the other one got but she didn't have enough to get it so he said here so we would leave and he tossed it at her with his phone in his hand and got on it as soon as we left, and when we were waiting for him to come over for five minutes or so he was just on his phone. The toy secti

Had a great time today bowling here. Didn't order any food myself but friends did and it looked very good. A fun place to go with friends and family for a good time. Highly recommended.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. Great place with lots of options of laser tag, bowling, decent arcade etc at a fair price. Highly recommend.

So much to do. Good activities, food & service. The new owner is upgrading everything and Bill is a great host!

I always have a bad experience when I try to come here. It's one thing or another. Most recently it's just bad customer service. I called three days ago to get lanes for my sisters birthday. You get this long voicemail from there team about everything you are NOT supposed to do after you leave a message (don't call back, you don't have a reservation unless we call you etc. ). But to then not even call someone back is horrible customer service. The voicemail doesn't even say or mentioned if/how quickly y

Overall decent place to bowl, we had fun, but lanes and monitors seriously need updated. Came with a group and did the timed bowling: ~About every third bowler the lane would freeze for 30-60 seconds during lane clearing and reset post frame. Huge waste of time and thus wasting the money spent on that time... Never had this issue at other lanes we've been to. ~Part way through our second game of the hour and the monitor died; they couldn't fix it so they moved us to a new lane. They did give us some extra

Came here earlier in the day on NYE. There was a wait for Bowling so we stayed in the arcade. Almost all games were fully functional and fun. Did not bowl. We called later in the day about reserving bowling later in the evening around 8pm. They were not taking any new reservations as they "already had 80 reservations for the evening" but they would take walk-ins and may have openings around 9:45. We arrived at 9:30 with 7 people and were told we couldn't have more than 6 per lane. One of our party sat out

We love coming here, especially on days that don't let us get outside! Food is decent, bowling isn't too expensive and there's just enough games to keep kids occupied for a while. The staff are great as well!

My son went here for a birthday party. He went in saying ?I hate laser tag, what's the point?? He came out saying ?this was AWESOME?. Apparently this laser tag is way better than another local place. And the kids all had a blast at all the games.

had lunch here, and then partook in the arcade and the laser tag. food was good! pizza chips had no right being that good and our server was spectacular- on point with everything and very friendly too. arcade was fun enough- i won a little unicorn stress toy and my brother won a spiked ball thing so that was nice:) only my mom and brother took part in laser tag yesterday but they both enjoyed themselves greatly. will definitely come back at some point!

We played the crazy Darts in the bar! So much fun! And we enjoyed some tasty appetizers!

Great food and atmosphere. It's really fun for the kids.

We thought we'd give this place another chance. We were charged $40 for shoes and 1 hour of Bowling for two people they put us on Lane one while all the other lanes were moving smoothly our lane had slow ball return and pin setups a couple of times a worker had to manually fix the issue we figured about 10 minutes of time was wasted with these technical difficulties we were cut of time on the 8th frame when it said time ran out make sure you ask attendant if the lane you are assigned is working properly

My aunt Nana and I were looking for a fun place to bowl and I suggested that we come here since my friend had a birthday here once. We were blown away by the arcade and played there for a good hour or so before bowling. There was a little dinosaur at the redemption area that I wanted and the girl answered all our questions about the arcade so I could get him. The employees looked like they genuinely enjoyed their job. Food and bowling was amazing, we had so much fun! I ended up being able to redeem the di

Took my grandkids and we had a blast, arcades, bowling, great food. Service was a little slow in the restaurant, but it was very friendly.

This is a fun place to bowl and get together with friends. You can play some video games too, and while I haven't done the Lazer tag, one of my sons has and he said it was a lot of fun. Food is standard fare for a bowling alley/ arcade/ fun spot.

Laser tag is hype, bowling is solid and the pool room is great for a late night with the boys! Live bands weekly and great food at the sassy loon! The only downfall is the customer service is usually pretty poor. Very disorganized and short with everyone.

Fun few hours bowling and playing laser tag! The staff is very friendly!

Ok I don't get into writing reviews and hate dogging businesses online. So I won't. I will recommend getting new tips for the pool Q?s because there maybe three Q?s with any sort of tips. They totally didn't charge me for our time trying to play pool (billiards) in the pool room because of the no chalk and horrible sticks. Did pay for a pitcher of beer that was definitely not fresh, they did replace it with pabst that was stale as well. Either way I'm not complaining and the staff did what they could to ple

Went here at 4pm on a Tuesday in March and all but 2 lanes were open. Paid $35/hr for a lane and $3 per pair of shoes. Very helpful staff. Nice arcade game setup with digital tickets and a prize counter.

Lanes are nice, food is pretty good.plenty of stuff to do here. My biggest complaint, ordering food is such an odd obstacle, I've never experienced at a bowling alley before. Never been to any bowling alley, that doesn't have dedicated servers walking the lanes, taking orders. (Which, as slow as the resturaunt was, made it even more strange to see so many servers walking around in the resturaunt, and none walking the lanes)Instead you have to walk in the restaurant and stand by the bar hoping someone sees

Great pizza! Friendly staff! Really fun bowling

I wish i could rate as a zero, instead of one. Management. DO NOT WASTE TIME. There are so many other great restaurants in the area! False advertising. I ordered a ?blackberry lemonade? that on the menu was a blackberry crown royal with lemonade. I get the drink and it just does not taste like crown at all. I asked the server if there is blackberry crown she responds with yes and i return to my table, upset because i know my drink is wrong. My husband brings my drink back up to the bar, and the manager tel

I have been here for live music, only. 1st trip the table service was fantastic. The 2nd trip it was adequate. I enjoyed it and I'll be back. The dance floor is modest, but it's a pretty cool space to come hear your favorite band!

Great arcade! Pinball, skeeball, basketball, air hockey, and lots of video games, as well as ticket style games and prizes. The point system is electronic, so no paper tickets.

The price of bowling is steep (35 dollars an hour for up to 6 people) But I like bowling and I have good memories made from it. We bowled in Lane 2 here and it broke down 4 times.

Laser tag, laser maze, arcade, bowling, pool tables, photo booth. Laser tag is a little pricey IMO $7 FOR 15 minutes but I'd pay it again cuz it's super fun. Food needs some work the pizza anyways crust super thin soggy nasty.

Falsely advertising what they're putting in drinks and not disclosing that they're not able to make the drinks as Advertised. When confronted about the situation it was handled poorly. The drink was eventually remade with a similar but not exactly the same as advertised liquor. Then the manager attempted to charge more for the remade drink.....? Double check your drink is made correctly.... or just go somewhere else. The owner's responses to one star reviews says a lot about their level of professional

Employees were so nice and helpful..It was our first time going..Kids had a blast..

I was in a hurry. Middle of the day. Very hungry!! Too early for the usual crowd. They didn't know me but treated me like they did! Got me a great sandwich, drink, and out the door in plenty of time. Lots of fun opportunities for the whole family. They have an extended game room just for kids in addition to a great bowling facility. So nice and accommodating!

The employees here are very polite, respectful, and helpful. Had an amazing time bowling and Lazer tag. Even 4 year olds can play ??

Had a Great time, I haven't been there in at least a few years, and it's clean, good service, and the pizza was surprisingly good... I will be going back.. oh, and a lot to do with kids also.

The bowling alley is super fun. A bit pricey (we had a party of 4, 2 of them being 3yo and it came to $40 for an hour) but we had a blast. The restaurant was nice and the food was pretty good. Also a bit pricey, but tasty. The arcade was a blast, the kids loved it. We did not do the laser tag but can't wait to try it out. The staff was pleasant, especially our waitress in the restaurant. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something to do indoors with their kids.

I've never had food this high quality at a bowling alley (or anywhere really) in my life... For being short-staffed, the servers were doing a fantastic job. Very attentive, professional... And the shrimp Alfredo was absolutely fantastic. Perfectly cooked, the sauce was wonderful... Hats off to our server Brooke for doing a great job :)

Friendly staff, great food and endless entertainment! They truly follow Covid-19 safety protocols and care about keeping everyone safe! Great experience!

We stopped for dinner as recommended by our hotel from desk. The food was reasonably priced, the pizza chips were delicious! The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and well kept as was the bowling alley and arcade. Would eat here again another time.

Came her with my friend and our kids was a great environment great food. Arcade is cool. But big downfall is kids don't bowl as quickly as adults so an hour to bowl with the game getting cut off when the game is not finished is a low blow. Honestly

Celebrated my buddies 40th birthday there. We had a great time!

The customer service at the front counter was not the best. The food wasn't that great. The waitress in the bowling area was friendly and smiled. Perhaps the rest of the staff should follow her lead in the customer service area. I read the reviews before coming here and saw a lot of the comments about the unfriendly service. I'm sure the owner is going to respond to my review with some long justification to the poor service. Sorry, ?exhausted? staff isn't an excuse for poor customer service as people are pa

Five stars. This is not a review for the bowling alley. Or the laser tag. Or even the arcade. This is a review for the black bean burger. A black bean burger takeout order from a bowling alley has no business being that amazing. I got the version with Swiss cheese, grilled onions, and mushrooms. Amazing. The curly fries were also bomb. Would recommend

Beyond disappointed called in advance due to living an hour away to see if a reservation was needed or if lanes would be available they said they don't take same day reservations and that we could bowl but after 6 so we drove there to be treated awful for even asking, told we could but would have to give lanes back 45mins to people that actually made reservations as he tussled his paper at us! RUDE so rude we called, we had a car full of kiddos trying to celebrate new years we could have went to our local b

Great Sunday special- an hour of bowling (up to 6 people I think), shoes, one pizza with one topping and one pitcher of a choice beverage for $49.99. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. An arcade available, which we opted out of. Perfect family outing.

Our family had a great time celebrating our sons birthday. We really love all of the activities. They are bowling is a lot of fun, and the laser tag is awesome! Their facility is clean and staffed with friendly helpful people.

Great place to bowl. Friendly staff. Other activities besides bowling available too. Would definitely go again if back in the area.

My Dad and I stopped in here one night, on the recommendation of a nice lady at our hotel, after skiing at Nubs. We sat at the bar and ordered food and drinks. Everything was great, including the service. I'd definitely go back.

Last minute decision to go bowling for my daughters birthday and this place was amazing!! The most friendly employees I have seen in a long while! They were so great to us!! The arcade was so fun and the bowling is great! I love that they can automatically put the bumpers up and down when it was the kid's turns! We will definitely be back!

Great place for family fun. I have 7 kids ranging from 2 to 19, and we all had so much fun. We ordered pizza and it was by far the best pizza we have ever eaten at a bowling alley for sure, better then a lot of pizza places. The arcade is pretty big there as well. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were told before we ordered food that there was a wedding party that got rained out, and that they only has 1 cook, 1 server, and 1 bartender. We had a big order ourselves and didn't even notice t

Northern Lights Recreation is a staple every time my family goes up-north! The games are great - our favorites are Down The Clown, Let's Make a Deal, basketball, skee-ball, crane machines, pool and of course bowling. The facility is always clean (including the large bathrooms) and we always have a great time. We always divide up our earned tickets and pick out fun candy & toys at the counter afterward. You MUST plan on eating at the Sassy Loon, the restaurant right inside the front door, when you come her

Had a WONDERFUL dinner at the Sassy Loon? Absolutely wonderful French onion soup & perfect cook on my burger! Wishing we could talk them up a little so they were busier!

been in our town forever but was very disappointed the other night. came in for bowling at 6:10pm but they were booked til 8:30pm, so we decided to sit in the restaurant and order food. we ordered 2 appetizers, waited about 30 min for it and we found a hair in the spinach dip, (which was taken off the bill, so thank you) but looking into the kitchen doors from my table, i was nauseated to see that the woman working wasn't wearing a hat while cooking.. we also ordered 2 broccoli cheddar soups, and a pizza. t

Not a good experience.......will not be eating there again... People should not be waiting on the public if they aren't happy doing it...and I have been in there before and the older lady is not waitress material.... And I don't want to hear everyone has a bad day.....under staffed, no one wants to work... I did leave her 15% tip...because I truly know what a waitress gets paid...but I wasn't to happy when I found out who the older lady might be... Bottom line is ...your business your way.... You need to

We have always had a great time coming to this place. Laser tag is a blast, especially when there are a bunch playing. Staff is always friendly. They are definitely short staffed, but so is everyone. Hopefully unemployment will end soon so businesses can go back to 100%. Great job guys! Keep up the great work!!

Took my 2 1/2 year old grandson, we bowled, service was great. Although he lost interest pretty quick. But he loved the laser tag. And everyone from the employees to the other guests were very patient with him and played with him! It was a busy Saturday night and we had a ton of fun, thank you.

The food was fantastic, the price even better. Service was excellent.

I went here on a girls trip to do bowling, laser tag, and arcade games which were all fine. However, the older gentleman that greeted us and who we paid each time was very rude and acted as if he didn't want our business. Would have been a great experience even with our bowling lane not working several times had he been more pleasant and appreciated our business.

Nice little place for a night out. Decent size arcade and a good amount of pool tables. Pool tables could use some work and the cues are all worn out. Bar tender gave my debit card to someone else and I had to come back the next day to get my card back. Definitely an inconvenience, but my bar tab was free. Staff was friendly and super apologetic for the mix up. Could have done a little more to make it right though.

Debbie was fantastic!! She gave us great info over the phone, we have never been there before!! She made our children feel special even though there was a birthday party going on at the same time we came in!! You should really give Debbie a raise! We will be back because of the great customer service she provided our family! We loved the Lost City Laser Tag game! Wow! Love this place!!

Pretty expensive to bowl. 3 of us went for one hour and it turned out to be $35 and shoe rentals are $3/person. There was no per game fee at all and increments were in 15min intervals? Which is odd... That being said, the place was nice, neat, clean, staff was very nice and courteous, and professional. I give 3 stars due to the expense compared to a lot of other bowling alleys I've gone to that were just as good or better.

Update-July 10th, 2023---My work placed a group order which was not under my name and certainly wasn't my MOM! The only thing I ordered was the fries. The container had my name on it. I have no idea what you mean by the June 7th order. But you keep being classy. Sadly has declined! Twice I've ordered food and portions small. This amount of fries for $5.99 ( carry out, I put them on a plate to heat up) not worth it!

Wow...horrible service! Cold food! When I asked for mely meal to be taken back and comped nothing but attitude! Will never ever waste money here again! *edit* in response to the owner...I could not get a manager.

Paid for an hour of Bowling. We have young children, so a light bowling ball is a must..: our lane kept getting ?jammed? because of the light ball. Apparently our fault. Laughed? it off after expressing our concern? paid for another half hour at NO discount, just to finish a second game? paid for Laser tag,.. waited for a party of 5 to finish a full 20 min match,.. as we waited, we were almost refused a game of pool because I had no I.d? tho I was served alcohol, with no I.d? mind u? ??. As we wai

I was an educator at an event held at the event center this past weekend. Debbie and the staff were absolutely wonderful. They were very accomodating to all of the needs and special requests of the guests. The food was great and came out on time! I would highly recommend this place for your next gathering! :)

Had a blast at the arcade! The sassy loon wasn't the best, but the poor waitress was tending both the bar and the restaurant by herself and it was very busy, so we understood! The arcade was money-worth it, as we usually spend 40-60$ at a arcade and can only get the very small, toys that cost maybe 5cents for them. This time the girls got a toy that was probably worth about $10 each! Way better then most arcades, with a lot of choices! We enjoyed the cold, rainy day inside especially since there isn't very

My family and I went here to celebrate my brothers birthday, wasnt the best experience. The arcade pulls you in just to be surprised with the outdated bowling ally and rude staff. Not only were the staff rude, but also didnt seem very coordinated with the customers. We were told we would have a private lazer tag game for them to tell us, as we are going in, that theres a scheduled party coming as well. We also payed for an hour game of bowling where our lane completely turned off and stopped working mid gam

Had such a great time here with my husband. We're visiting from Troy for our anniversary. We love bowling so this place seemed fitting !!!! Helen was AMAZING !!!! She was doing it all! Even checked us in when the other worker was on break :). I know you guys are short staffed, everyone is. But everyone who was on shift that day still had smiles on their faces, and worked so hard. We will for sure be back !!!

We enjoy the bowling and large arcade.

Had a birthday party here Bowling and laser tag were great. Food was absolutely horrible. Pizza was the greasiest pizza I've ever seen. Even the 5 teenagers didn't even enjoy it. Wings were sad. So small looked like popcorn shrimp. Nobody knew anything there was no direction. I had to go up to the desk each time. instead of saying, "hey, bowling is over, laser tag is over here!" Nope nothing I had to find out myself where to go what came next while people behind stood there.. My son didn't get a spin on th

I visited during Saint Patrick's Day with some fellow co-workers. Our food was very good, our service was quick and pleasant and the drinks were made correctly. The band that was plan that night was excellent as well.

We had a great time at this facility. Customer service was good, and we enjoyed both laser tag and the pool hall. Nice layout and structure for laser tag. Pool hall nice for beginners, only because the cues are a bit worn. We didn't dine so no comment there. Worth the trip from the Les Cheaneaux's

This is the greatest place in northern mi. Truly a place where they treat you like family only better! There are so many things for the kids to enjoy while dinning and having a good time. And the people there are always kind and helpful and ready to meet your needs. I recommend this company to all families for a clean safe place to go.

What a gem. We went to dance to the Blitz and we're very well pleased with such a nice open atmosphere of the dining room a?d hoochie koo rock n roll. We plan to do New Year's Eve there

Everyone is courteous , helpful, kind to my client and me. The Lanes are run well and the restaurant has tasty food with really large portions. A great experience all the way around! Plus the French onion soup was AMAZING! ??

I love this place. I love the bowling, playing in the arcade, and especially the restaurant, The Sassy Loon. Helen is one of my favorite people! She's an excellent server who works hard for her money. I recommend the chicken strips, they're so good, and the ranch is fantastic! I live far away but always make time to visit because my family and I always have fun there. Our favorite game is "Down the Clown," although the next day our arms are sore, haha! Please check out this place. It holds a special p

Great place for a kids birthday party. Cake and cupcakes are allowed to be brought in. Great experience.

Honestly today's food was Amazing. I had grilled salmon tacos and it was fresh crisp light nutritious but still very filling. The service was great and if they're gonna put meals like that on the table every day ill definitely go back.

Dropped in for lunch and had an excellent burger at the bar and grill. Other menu items looked good too. Not the type of place that I would normally stop in for a meal, so I was very pleasantly surprised. Give it a try, I think you'll get a great meal.

Lazer tag and arcade are great, pizza is good, appetizers are good, staff is awesome.... But I cannot recommend the burgers. First I was given the wrong burger and I sent it back. the second one came out was way past well done (I ordered medium well) had one strip of bacon, did not have the cheese the menu stated, and was so dry I could barely get it down. I understand they appeared to be short staff and covid has everything messed up. But there's no excuse for screwing up the second one that badly. It r

Had a grand time with the family at Northern Lights Rec! We opted for the laser tag (which was super fun) and the pool hall, but there was also a very nice bowling alley and an arcade area replete with typical arcade games. Bathrooms were well maintained, and the staff was friendly. I definitely recommend this location as an option for your group entertainment needs. :)

Always enjoy the atmosphere, service is amazing, always smiling, drinks are on point even with extra requests, Food is my favorite amongst my list or places to eat. Always excited to go.

A very small bowling alley that get crowded fast. The price is expensive compared to other bowling alleys. The workers really work hard and it appears they are pulled in every direction. It's likey due to staff shortage all over Michigan. The food was good. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch pizza and some bread chips (not sure if that's what they are called) The bread chips are super good. I wish the arcade had more than 1 pinball machine.

Bowling was a lot more pricey than I remember, and the charger wasn't too helpful in helping find the option that suited our party's needs. The Laser tag is Amazing though! The owner just responded to my review with "our staff's job is NOT to find you cheap options, but to charge the current rate". as well as a blurb on giving the "Best experience" which has inspired me to further my review. The food service didn't bring our party our pizza until 10 minutes after we were finished bowling! so we needed to

Had a blast playing laser tag and some bowling with the kids

I come here often with friends to play pool. We have supported this business for a long time. Came here with friends to play pool and we got a pitcher of beer. A glass accidentally got knocked off of a table and broke and they kicked us out?My friend approached the counter to let them know to get it cleaned up before hand and they wasted no time telling us to leave. I'm sorry, but accidents happen and we will no longer be supporting this business. Very rude customer service.

A great place to come to with your friends or family to have a good time. They have bowling, laser tag, an arcade, a bar/restaurant, and a selection of other things. The prices are fairly cheap too; you don't have to worry about burning a hole into your pocket if you're only there for a few hours. The staff is nice, and the service is lovely. If you have your children with you, they serve food right at the front desk so you don't have to worry about trying to get food from the bar.

The gaming was great and the service decent! The pizza was horrible and barely edible due to the amount of grease. The Lazer tag arena is nicely set up and good for small parties of 10 to 20. The arcade games all worked. Some of the equipment is extremely outdated however.

I went with a few friends on quarter night and had a great time without spending a lot. The service was friendly too. The pool room in the back resembles what my man cave would look like if I had one; very well kept and stylish. Don't bother with the miniature golf though, it's chintzy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?
