No Escape Iowa

This was a great multi-generational activity for my husband and I, my kids, and my dad when we were in town visiting grandparents! We went back the second day we were in town because we all had so much fun. The rooms were challenging and they would give you extra time if no one had booked the room right after you and you couldn't solve it in an hour. Highly recommend!

Good experience, helpful and polite staff. We had some sensitivity to flashing lights and they were helpful in letting us know when it was coming to help us prepare. The room we were in could've used some better air circulation bc it was a 90+ degree day outside and the dehumidifier wasn't making much progress in making it less humid. But other than that it's recommend giving them a try!

Great experience! We had a mixed group of those of us who have done many escape rooms and one who was brand new to them. Ages 17 to late 40s. 7 of us total. We did Where's the Remote. I highly recommend this room for groups of mixed ages, experience levels and definitely great for large groups. It was challenging to those of us who have done many rooms yet not too challenging for the first timer to catch on. Great business with great customer service!

I could not be more blown away by the service that we received and the game that we played. I had to reschedule twice and they were able to hold my reservation money and reschedule with me. There was no penalty for changing the dates. Also, the day of we ended up having 4 people out of our party of 7 cancel due to illness. They refunded me for the missing individuals even though I told them day of. We were supposed to do Ghostly Figures, which is a game for a larger party. They advised us that we might want

I brought my kids to an escape room with their friends to celebrate a birthday. Everyone had a good time. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our family had a great time working through the puzzles of Game On. We recommend it and loved that after our hour is as up, they allowed us to stay just a little bit over the hour to actually finish the room. Yes we needed just a few more minutes. Thanks guys!

My son had his 9th birthday party at No Escape Iowa and all the kids had a great time! They even asked if they could do another one! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time. The room (Where's the Remote) was challenging and fun but not so hard that we weren't able to work through the puzzles. We'll be back to do another room!

Our party of six had a great time working through the escape room. It was explained well and had thoughtful clues. We'll definitely try another room!

We had a group of 3rd graders do an escape room for our boys birthday. They did the Teachers Pet and loved it. It took them 1 hour 7 minutes to complete it and did need help/clues from staff along the way but still had a great time. We appreciated that the kids could do the room on their own while the adults were able to watch them do the room from the viewing lounge. They also allowed the group to go over the 1 hour time so they could complete the entire room. I so appreciated that they didn't stop the gro

We had a great time! Once we were booked the host was friendly. We were in the Camelot Room which was a perfect level for myself and my ten year old. My only reason for four stars is that a previous guest broke one of the locks for a clue. It's not a reflection on the owners. We will definitely go back!

Had a really good time here. There is not alot of different rooms, but the one we did was really good and very well thought out. It really makes you have to think and pay attention. Would recommend, 100%

Our family had a blast! 8 adults and one kiddo did the Ghostly Figures room. The clues aren't linear so we all spread out and worked on clues. One of the most fun things we have done as a fam.

The staff at No Escape Iowa was exceptional: friendly and informed. They provided clear instructions and you could tell they have fun, too.

Escape rooms here are awesome! We have done two so far and plan to do the rest. We really enjoyed the technology used to operate all of the puzzles and clues in the rooms. The staff is also very friendly! Definitely recommend!

Took a group of friends here (age 9-12) boys and a girl for a celebration. They did the Camelot room and had a blast. The parents watched and listened in the viewing room and it was so funny! They should make it a reality show. Thank you for a wonderful time! Can't wait to come back.

Fun experience and reasonably priced. Our guide was friendly and informative and the room was very well done. We managed to solve the puzzle with a couple of hints.

We took our four granddaughters (10 & 11) to do the Teachers Pet room. It was their first time in an escape room and this one is perfect for middle schoolers. There were a lot of puzzles for them to solve and the game master was great at giving them small hints. He even gave them extra time so they could "escape" on their own. We were able to watch from the video monitor screens. They have several rooms at different levels of difficulty, and the girls are excited to go back and try another one!

Celebrated a fun Christmas evening with six adult friends. Had an amazing time at No Escape. Everyone agreed it was a good time, and would do it again.

Great morning spent with our 2 children, ages 7 & 5 who had a blast interacting with the escape story line of Teacher's Pet. They got really focused when looking for clues around the room. My husband and I also enjoyed ourselves and look forward to visiting again.

I took a group of 13 year olds to No Escape. I wanted something challenging, but age- appropriate at the same time. ?Escape from Camelot? was perfect for them! The staff was friendly and quick to respond to requests for clues. The escape room had elements of slight spookiness as the girls worked, but it was not scary and only added to the experience. I highly recommend!

I had so much fun doing the Ghostly Figures room! The employees were very kind and encouraging when they checked in, and they even allowed us to work a little longer than an hour. Don't worry if you don't have a big group to help you out- I successfully finished the GF room with only one other person and had a great time.

We had the BEST time escaping from the Teacher's Pet room. Each year my granddaughters (ages 13 and 9) and I have a "Grand" Adventure this year's included No Escape Iowa. It was the perfect choice. None of us had ever done an escape room and after a few false starts we found our rhythm and made a safe escape :) . We're looking forward to trying our luck again in a different room in the near future. It is obvious how much thought was put into the experience and we LOVED it!

I booked the Teacher's Pet room for my 11 year old son and four of his friends. Marcus told them a little story at the beginning to get them engaged and I think it added to the overall experience. The kids really enjoyed their time in the escape room. I was concerned the room may be too easy and the kids would get get bored but that was not the case. I think the difficulty level was just about right. I got to sit in the waiting area and watch it all unfold on the TV. I would definitely recommend No Escape

Had an an awesome time at No Escape Iowa! We did this for my brother's bachelor party and they worked with us to make it as fun and personal as possible! Staff was very friendly and informative! Would highly recommend to anybody in the Ames area looking for a good time!

Very fun escape room. I think it's definitely on par with others that I've been to in the Wisconsin Dells and Milwaukee. I loved the puzzles. I'm super excited to try the next room when it's ready!

We love that No Escape Iowa offers an escape room that our family of 4 could enjoy together - kids are young (11 and 8) and they felt included in hunting for clues and piecing it all together. The Teachers Pet had a great setup and we'll definitely be back to try out another room. Thanks for the great experience!

We visited No Escape for a birthday experience for an 8 year old. My 10 year old was also along, so it was 2 adults and 2 kids. We had a blast! We did the Teachers Pet room. We had to get a few hints, but both kids and adults were able to figure out the clues and we escaped with minutes to spare. The staff were super friendly as well. ??

We called kind of last minute for some family fun and they were so accommodating! We brought our 9 month old, 8 year old and 12 year old and we all had fun! I was thinking I'd be quick to get out of the room but it was extremely clever and it took us just about the full time. We will definitely be back to try more rooms.

We have done a few of the escape rooms here and have enjoyed them all. We plan to come back again soon to do the couple we haven't done yet. Definitely recommend

This is our second time doing an escape room here. The staff have always been so friendly. We did not escape in the hour we were given, but he came in and gave us a clue and let us complete the escape room (75 minutes). These are amazing fun and I would tell anyone to try these here at No Escape Iowa. Pam

Our scout group did the "Teacher's Pet" room and they really enjoyed it! The room was well-sized for 6 3rd graders and the difficulty was appropriate. The host gave them a few hints to keep them moving and they were able to solve the puzzles within the time limit. The puzzles were clever and the room had some well-integrated technological features that added to the experience. My son really enjoyed himself and asked when we could the next one!

Had a blast with my siblings and boyfriend in the ghostly figures room. The employee was super nice and helpful with hints when we were stuck towards the end. The escape room was overall very well set up, and it was just fun to dive into the story line.

We booked the ghostly figures escape room for my daughter's 16th birthday and the party room with pizza and drinks. The whole experience was wonderful the pizza was good and they were so accommodating the 5 teenagers that participated in the escape room all really enjoyed it and have said they would love to do another thank you so much for the experience.

Our after school Kids Club has done two of the rooms and they had a great time! The staff was helpful and very friendly. Great team-building activity!

Found this when I Google things to do for fun on his bday. I found the website very easy to navigate and make purchase and reservation. Upon arrival we were greeted by the coolest staff. They really made our experience fun and memorable. I will most definitely be returning for the challenge of more of the rooms they offer. Great experience at No Escape Iowa! The employees were very friendly and gave us some extra hints when we were stuck. I really enjoyed the ghostly figures room. It was a great story and we enjoyed all the discoveries we made along the way. :)

My husband and I and our two adult sons did the Teacher?s Pet escape room. It was the first escape room for our sons, and it was the perfect difficulty level. It was difficult enough to make us all think and problem solve, but not too difficult that we couldn't find new ideas to try. The staff was friendly and a pleasure to work with. I'm eager to try out their other escape rooms!

We did their hardest room first. We did not make it out in time, but we're able to finish eventually! Very well put together puzzles and definitely required skills of observation. Will come back.

We did the Where's the remote room as a family and it was a great time. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they'll even give you hints if you need them. I booked the wrong room online and they took the blame and said their website could be confusing but I know it was user error. They were able to accommodate us, and only charged us for 5 people (we had 6). You can tell they care about the experience you have.

My wonderful girlfriend surprised me with some Saturday night fun at my first escape room experience. It was a super great time, we worked together well and had so much fun sorting out a solution. I highly recommend no escape Iowa to anyone I'm looking for adventure. Definitely going back to experience the other adventures they have.

Me and 8 other friends went to the escape room, we tried ghostly figures. It was an amazing experience, we tried our best and it was actually really fun to find clues, think and then reveal the answers one by one and had to put a lot of thought. Will definitely go again asap!! Mr. Marcus was very helpful and even gave us 2 extra minutes and helped us with clues after our timer went off.

Absolutely fun and scary! Better than any Haunted Amusment I have ever been to. 10/10 Not recommended for those with epilepsy.

I have been here 4 times. Staff is friendly. It is clean. Everyone with me has a lot of fun here. I have been in 3 rooms and each one is different. We are looking forward to the new room they are doing. Can't wait until next time!

Had a fantastic time doing the haunted church escape room! My wife and I have done upwards of 11 escape rooms, and despite being more or less home-made this was among the most inventive and interesting. Its packed with practical effects and some surprisingly high tech puzzles that you almost certainly won't have seen before. Difficulty is high, we escaped with seconds to spare, when we tend to have 10-15 minutes remaining. The room is big, so bigger groups that divide and conquer will have a much easier tim

Booked a room with my boyfriend but was upset when we arrived we were told it's not able to be done with 2 people but by then it was to late so we had to just do it anyways other than that we had a great time in the room we attempted it but it was in fact to much for just two people

No escape Iowa in Ames: granddaughters age 12,11,8 said ?Teacher?s Pet? was the highlight of summer Grammy and Gramps (G&G) camp. Escaped with 0 minutes to spare (and the help of a few hints). Girls said it would have been better if G&G had not been in the room?? Note: owner DID suggest kids going solo. G&G didn't listen but will next time!

Being teachers ourselves, the 3 of us sure did enjoy this room. The puzzles were just right; challenging yet solvable. A+!!!
