Customer Reviews

It is so clean, all the machines work, and the employees are very helpful. Honestly the 20 minute drive for me is so worth it. There are other arcades closer to my home, but they are dirty and poorly maintained. Worth the drive to NickelMania.

Not impressed. The games cost more than they do at Nickle city so more money for less fun. Also, I needed to leave for just 20 min and they said if we left the parking lot they would need to charge for re-entry. Why? I had already paid for entry and paid for cards for kids to have fun. They made plenty of money off me already. I hate it when family fun places are a rip off. We will always go to Nickle City from now on.

2 pinball games and several old arcade games. $2.50 entrance fee and you decide how much $ to put on cards. Most games cost 3-5 nickels. We had a great time playing a variety of games. Families should go earlier in the day or evening to miss the young adults coming to play games and laser tag. We really enjoyed the assortment of games.

I don't love the entrance fee, the concept of the cards having money on them and just taking them to the games is a bit interesting but the overall experience was great, we finished up with 1200 tickets and split that between the kids to pick out some fun items.

Nickel Mania is a popular arcade chain in Utah, known for its affordable games and nostalgic atmosphere. With locations in West Jordan, Murray, and Orem, it offers a variety of classic and modern arcade games, making it a favorite spot for families and gaming enthusiasts alike . ? ? However, it's important to note that experiences can vary, and some patrons have raised concerns about recent policy changes and management practices. Specifically, there have been reports that Nickel Mania previously allowed i

Love it! Clean, inexpensive, and so fun! Nothing is perfect, and some games could use some TLC, or repairs. I will be back and hopefully they will maintain the place. Cost is $2.50 to come in, and walk around. You can load a card with nickels and each machine has a swipe thing to play. Some games are two nickels, or four, up to 9. Remember these are nickels, and it totally worth it. Over 30 pinball machines, over 20 stand up arcade games with guns, 50 classic arcade machines, and lots of ways for kids to wi

The best arcade in the state!! We've been to many, and this is our favorite. The best price and the best variety of games. They do have some ticket games and some decent prizes, but unlike many other arcades, this one actually focuses on being a nickelcade and has a huge selection of both old and new arcade style games. And so much pinball!! The best pinball selection! I could play for hours!

Easily the best arcade in Utah. I used to frequent the Murray location until this place opened, and now this is my go to location. They have a huge gaming floor, half of which is ticket/prize games and very modern machines. The other half is the biggest collection of pinball machines I've seen in the state along with all of the best older arcade games from the 70s/80s through the early 00s. Easily the most reasonable "per play" pricing of any local arcade, and very fair ticket machines. I'm 37 and I can sp

The pinball machines are so cool here! One of the better arcades around and I enjoy walking around and playing along with the kids. The employees seem a little annoyed when helping kids with tickets/prizes, but it's a good place to go and we've gone now several times

Really affordable for a fun date night or hang out with friends. We spent $10 for each couple and that $10 lasted us 45 min.

Great place to take the family. Tons of games and prizes. And it's super clean

We had a great time at Nickemania. Love the large selection of new and old arcades and pinball machines. Highly recommend it.

2.50 per person, 2.50 for a card and then like 10 bucks for 200 nickels, not a bad idea for a date! They have plenty of newer as well as classic arcade games including pinball machines, street fighter, guitar hero, and old shooters! I definitely recommend!

This place is so clean, I don't think I saw a speck of dust, dirt or grime anywhere. The cleanliness was very noticeable and I was super impressed with that. We threw my kid?s birthday party here, all the kids seemed to have a good time. They blew through their game cards so fast tho.. so we spent more money than I expected to and the kids all ran out of tokens before the end of the party, even with us paying more to reload the cards half way through.. but we filled most of that time with cake/pizza/present

Had a great time. The machines are all incredibly well-maintained and everyone had a blast. Like, it's unbelievable how well all of the classic games and pinball machines were working. Nostalgia fest! One bit of feedback: get some new basketballs for the shooting machines, the ones you have seen to be older than the Pac-Man cabinet.

This place is alot of fun. We've been here a couple of times now. So far this is my favorite nickel cade. The people that work there are super nice and I see them wiping the machines down constantly.

Great selection of pinball machines old and new. You can play for about 1/4 the price of normal location pinball and the employees were very polite and professional.

Honestly super fun place and very clean the crew is always cleaning and prices are awesome and have tons of games! I only wish they had some better prizes!!!! Over all awesome place this is my third weekend coming back in a row!

Great new location! Nice and new, great selection of pinball machines (maybe like 40-ish?). Nickel City a couple miles away only has 2! Also pretty big so lots of space to move around.

5 cent games. Hahahahahahahaha. Yeah right. Almost all games were 50 cents or more. The only difference between this place and another arcade is that they charge admission and dont allow outside food.

This is a great time to be had by all. Kids, parents, date night, family reunion. Cheap and epic. Must-do for Utah County fun.

This place is really fun! I've been here a couple of times with my little brother and the service is nice. The prizes they have are of good quality and the games are amazing! They have tons of arcade games from numerous eras and franchises. Additionally they have some more modern games too. But my personal favorite are the pinball machines. They have so many retro runs! I grew up with the Sam Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy, and there's used to be a pinball machine of that series back in the cheap cinema that sti

Love the place brings back memories from when I was a child. Love taking my stepdaughter to play the games as well as me and my wife. I highly recommend

It's stinky that you can't bring presents inside. Having my sons birthday and we were told that we couldn't bring them in. So he had to open them in the 35? windy weather outside. I get that they want you to pay for a party room. There were only 10 of us and two presents. Not worth paying for a room.

Great place! Great games that are all working and fun! Very clean! Very good atmosphere. If your a fan of arcade game or winning tickets they have it all. They have an awesome selection of pinball machines! Great place to kill some time or just hang out with friends and play some games.

Went for a company party. They have some fun games and all the kids seemed to really enjoy it

I've only been to this arcade twice, but I'll definitely keep coming back because of how well it's maintained! There are tons of fun games to explore and enjoy. One of my favorites so far is Minecraft Dungeons, which is right by the entrance?definitely worth a try if you go. Both of my experiences here have been great, and the bald guy with a beard who works there has been pretty chill and friendly. The only reason I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars is that some of the games feel a bit overpriced. For example,

Fun place for date night. Games are fun, your standard arcade. Great for pinball lovers

My card had over 600 tickets and I put it in my wallet for a month and lost everything on it but some of the tokens. Lots of my tokens disappeared as well. This place is a scam if you take the card home.

Parking was a joke. No parking. Had to drive around for 20 min. Fun arcade though.

Entrance fee is $2.50 each including any child who can walk. Games range from $0.05 to $0.50. You load a card with nickels and swipe at the machine to play. Some games give out "tickets" that are stored on the card. They have a variety of prizes you can get with the tickets. They are many old video games including Donkey Kong, frogger, space invaders, joust, and a lot of pac man variations. They also have old and new pinball machines, foosball, racing games, fighting games, dropping balls, notes, etc. Lots

The owner clearly has passion for pinball. 37 machines in great shape. Fair prices and super fun ticket redemption selection. Staff is great. Place is clean. Great variety of new/retro/racing/coin pushers etc. 10/10 arcade. Support it! I would like it if there was a lounging area with some couches and TVs with sports on.

Awesome arcade. Stopped by to get the high score on street fighter 2 and put my dear friend who just passed away initials in my place. Should stand for a while. ????????

Great kids activity place with classic and modern games

First time here, and it was great! I got the 20 card for each kid, and it lasted hours. Tons of options to play and all the games were in working order which suprised me. Prizes are a little pricey ticket wise but overall I was impressed. All games cost between 5 and 45 cents so very affordable compared to most arcades. We will be back!

Stretch your date night budget a long way at this family friendly arcade. It's very inexpensive, and you can play a variety of arcade games from yesteryear. Most of the games are in decent functioning condition, but a few of them don't work as expected. For example, one pinball machine had flippers that barely moved. On the one next to it, all of the balls were stuck at the bottom, so the machine reported that all the balls were missing.

Quick note: don't confuse this place with Nickel City, also located in Orem. Same business model and pricing, but they don't share all the same games. We were meeting up with friends and one went here and the other to Nickel City by mistake. I think at least one recent review was actually for the other place. Nickelmania is great for tons of pinball machines and classic arcade games. Check out the website to see a list!

Loved how clean the place was and the quality of the machines. All guns worked, and all the racing steering wheels worked. The only reason I didn't give five stars is some of the games have extremely faded screens, like the Star Wars Game. But it is clearly our favorite place to go as a family.

Nickel mania is a fantastic place for family fun! The nostalgic atmosphere and wide variety of classic arcade games make it a perfect destination for all ages. The affordable nickel pricing adds to the charm, allowing you to play for hours without breaking the bank. The staff is friendly, the games are well-maintained, and the overall experience is enjoyable. A great spot to create lasting memories with friends and family.

We love it here, it's cheap and we have a lot of fun.

Much improved since it moved from springville. Super clean and has tons of new games along with the older games. The drinking fountains and bathrooms are much nicer and cleaner. The staff is wonderful and always helps me out! Super fun for kids and adults!

Good mix of new and retro arcade games. I like that there are a lot of retro games that actually only cost a nickel.

This is definitely one of the cleaner and higher-end arcades around and I LOVE it! They have a huge number of games, arcade machines, pinball machines, etc. Basically, there's something for every kind of arcade lover. The price of each game varies slightly, but they're all pretty inexpensive so you can try out a lot of games each visit. I usually get a good 1-2 hours with just $20. They definitely have one of the better prize selections, with loooaaads of fun stuff at all price ranges. Stuffed animals, p

Fun place to take the family the kids love all the games I love all the new and vintage arcade games and a big selection of pinball games.

This place is great! There's a good variety of games both old and new, and the whole place looks very fresh. We loaded up our cards with $10 each and made it through just about half of it in the hour we stayed. We definitely plan to come back regularly!

My kids love going to Nickelmania. There's a lot of game options. Don't love that everyone has to pay an entrance fee though. It's not much, at least. I don't care to play, but don't want them in there alone.

My daughter and I love this place. We spend $20 + cover. Split between the both of us, we end up with close to 1,000 tickets every time we go.

Great place! Really love the selection and variety of arcade games. Better than nickel city tbh. Admission is the same price, $2.50 per person. Some games are less or more expensive compared to nickel city but the prizes are much better. Only downside is that you apparently have to pay for a re-entry if you leave. Even after stamping your hand. But then again, I can see why they do it if people come back the next day and didn't wash their stamp off.

We've always liked it here. Cleaner than their previous Springville location, which we appreciate.

Young grandchildren can have a great time here, but it has a carnival atmosphere that wears thin pretty quickly for many people. No real food options and mostly play for tickets that earn low quality prizes, but that is what an arcade is about.

Serious repeated technical issues where a card credits and its tickets would suddenly be wiped out. They've refused to give any ticket credits. We had multiple members of our party who had hundreds of tickets wiped out. The poor employees did their best but they're just kids. They don't deserve to be yelled at.

The new location is great! Good variety of games, including quite a few pinball machines. I feel safe with my kids going here, and it's always fun.

Love this place. Wish they would remove the one pinball machine with the big immodest picture

We take our family here at least once a month and have had birthday parties here! We've gone for a couple of years back when it was in Springville and now that it's in Orem and 30 minutes closer to us we come all the time! They always keep everything clean, the employees are nice. Lots of variety of kind of games!

Clean and affordable. The cabinets are well maintained, and their dance machine doesn't have any finicky buttons. It's less crowded than the Provo NickelCity. Less obnoxious couples. More room to breath and play the games you want.

Please come. Classic arcade and new ones . Great!!

Best arcade in Utah. Arcades tend to have only tickets/prize winning games these days, but not Nickelmania! They have a ton of old games, and HUGE pinball collection. If you go, I dare you to try and beat my Galaga high score

Good place, it is very much targeted towards an old school arcade. Not as much for me to do with my kids as a family activity

This location is fantastic, new and clean. It is quieter than other arcades (big bonus), with tons of rewarding games to play. We had a blast!

This place was so much fun. So clean, the staff was so kind. And the games were sooo fun. I highly recommend it. They have a large variety of games. And good fun games. Something for everyone

NickelMania is a fun arcade. They have the best game, piano keys. Any arcade with piano keys is a fun arcade.

I was a fan of the old location, but the new location blows that out of the water!!! Im a HUGE pinball fan and cant keep waiting to go back for the newer pinball cabs!! Hope more come to the best pinball collection I know of to play in Utah County!

The kids had fun. It was a clean place. I wish they had more games.

So much fun! Our kids loved it when we visited on vacation with family and it brought back such good memories of our own Nickel Palace from growing up. We'll stop by again when we're in town. Thanks!

An excellent arcade with great games, both classic and modern. Old school Donkey Kong, Mortal Kombat, pinball, Guitar Hero and more. They also have a baby changing station in the men's room for fathers bringing their kids.

First and last time I will ever bring my family here. Staff was ridiculously rude and disrespectful. They'll be throwing the prizes at you and make you feel rushed and not enjoy the money you paid to be at the arcade.

Great place, The Manager, Winston is really helpful and super great to work with. Highly recommend!

I went to the Orem store and the workers were horrible. So many workers, but didn't want to help. One even rolled his eyes when we asked him for help. However, The games are good and well maintained.

So many pinball machines! Very friendly staff.

Nice, new and clean. However, I wish they had a spot for parents to sit (like Nickel City does) while their kids play but for now we have to sit outside in our car or stand at the entrance and wait or pay to go in and wander around while kids play.

Definitely less busy and more spacious than Nickle City, which was nice, with many of the same quality games, but a few of them were broken and one even took some of our tokens without starting. Maybe with more maintenance it could be even better than Nickle City

A very awesome and affordable arcade. It's a little worn down, but super great fun and is a great place to bring people of all ages.

Finally a decent arcade! It has old 70s and 80s games that actually work!!! It's a nearly perfect arcade with much more than lame ticket machines! I really love this place!

This place is awesome! Cheap, clean, tons of games and prizes. All three of my kids had a blast!

A new place for my family to go to during this winter season. Huge Nicks game option from nostalgic to newest games it us worth your time and money. Plus huge prize selection

Great arcade with so many games to play for adults and kids. Highly recommend!

This place is great! Amazing price and a ton of old cabinets and pinball machines that are SO fun! Would reccomend

Fun experience!! Great for the family!!!

I came here for the first time over the weekend, as soon as we walked in my dad was like "whoa I feel like I'm in Vegas" so many games so much fun for the family.

Can Saturday night at 7:30 and the doors were locked but we could see someone walking around inside and all the lights are no. Very frustrating. Looks of people coming and leaving. Sad family!!!!

$10 lasts a lot longer here compared to other arcades. And way better options than others!!!

Great place for family fun. They keep it clean. I dont recommend going Friday nights or Saturday's ot can get over crowded

Y'all should change your lame policy so if a parent wants to just come watch their kids play, they don't need to pay admission. Dumbest thing I've ever heard - Nickel City down the road doesn't require it.

They have a good variety of arcades but not a big enough parking lot

Such a fun place! And such cool retro games and a huge selection of prizes! Definitely coming back!

The medicines were in good condition, and the building was clean. To top it off, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Super fun. My late teen boys and I love to spend an evening here hanging out.

Love the pinball machines!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
