Customer Reviews

Came here for my anniversary with my gf, who absolutely loves this place. We come here often and have never had any issues with the staff until now. I went to play a game and the tickets weren't coming out, whatever no big deal so i tried it again and it only gave me the tickets from the last win. We went to get help so Monica comes in and accuses me of lying to get free tickets. I told her the situation that i won 14 but was only given 8, then she says in a b attitude 'it's 2 tickets per ticket' like yeah

Visited from Australia and was told via a Facebook page to check it. Glad I did. Cheap, clean, friendly staff. Loads of light gun games. Had a blast. Only feedback is to keep the light gun equipment fixed as most are needing TLC and calibration. Definitely worth a visit. I'll be back next trip.

Great place to take your kids for fun arcade games! Cheap and fun! Always busy ! Always a game to play . Very accommodating. Just a fun place to go for cheap!

My boys and g*babies had a great time here. They had a Hugh selection of games!! The price is better than the other places that have games and prizes. We were sad that they didn't do party's because it is our little princess's birthday #5y but she had a great time!! I loved the fact that they keep everything clean!! Someone is disinfecting the ride games after kids get on. We will definitely be back!! We drove a long ways and it was worth it!!

My family and I visited this place the other weekend. Our 8-year-old son had a great time. There was a decent selection of games to choose from, especially considering it's a nickel arcade. The cost ranged from 1 to 8 nickels per game--quite the deal! I understand some people's gripes with having to use nickels instead of a card, but that's part of the charm. It's the same with the actual tickets you receive from the games. It reminds me of my younger days, and I was delighted to share this more tactile ex

I knew this place from my friend when we were at the Great Wolf Lodge. Walking distance from it. Affordable price when you have 10 kids with you, so it doesn't hurt your wallet. Lol good deal and good prices.

Found this arcade by accident with my kids while driving. That was the best random stop we've ever had. Great customer service, great setup and was surprisingly clean. All games ranged from 1-7 nickels. Plenty of choices and spacious. They do have games with tickets to redeem for prizes at the end. Worth every nickel

Wow, this was a cheap, but very fun place to kill some time! Unlike regular arcades, this one works by having their machines take nickels. They charge $2 for admission, which is very reasonable, and then most machines cost anywhere from 2 to 8 nickels (10 to 40 cents), compared to the almost $7 or $8 sometimes regular arcades can cost PER GAME. My friend and I spent $17 here total and spent an hour and a half here, and we got just over 600 tickets. They had the same games as a regular arcade, and most of

I've been going to nickle nickle 5 cent games for over 20 years now!!!! There were once about 6 locations in southern California, but this seems to be the only one left surviving. The wall of free play games has gone from over 20 to now 5(3 were working) the selection of current games has expanded tho but miss all the classic games! This is the place to take the kid where it is inexpensive and they can have fun f0r hours. They have a large selection of ticket games and a prize redemtion counter. It only cos

Have come to this location twice now to give it a fair chance. The staff is apathetic, and the arcade itself is always dirty. Two of the games ate our coins and didn't operate. When we let a staff member know, the guy shrugged and then ignored us. My 6 year old was really disheartened by this guy blowing us off she asked so nicely for new coins cause the game ate hers and didn't let her play. For this guy to blatantly ignore a little kid is pretty rude and unprofessional. We'll just spend the extra money a

Cheap, fun and variety from old to new arcade games! I love this place, $2 per person admission and 4-6 nickels per game is not bad at all! I would definitely come back here again. The old school arcade games are in good shape and some are even free to play! The capcom vs Marvel and the House of The Dead are classic arcades many will remember. This place isn't far from downtown Disney and Disneyland resort hotel which happens to be really nearby, great place to distract the kids during a weekend.

Went here for the first time on 4/19 around 9pm nice little arcade and affordable they have $10 nickel bags and with that your good for about 1hr play we ended up getting another . We had some issues with a machine even though it was my mistake the employees were very nice and understanding and returned my nickels I will be back here again

It's cool . I wish they had more maintenance on the games. There all fun and nice but some games eat coins . Yea it's not much. But when like 10 games eat your coins it just adds up.

We have a lot of fun going here. However the 'kids' or young adults that work here behave as though they have had zero training on how to work like professionals. They often have attitudes, or just no real knowledge about anything necessary. Except for the guy who goes around tends to fixing the machines he is great! But the regular guy the usually runs charging entrance fee and buying nickles he has no empathy or common business sense or maybe it's the establishment is sketchy as a whole I have no idea,

This place reminds me of the good old day from 90?s to early 2000?s arcade play where you put actual coins the machine and receive tickets that gets weighed at the end for prizes. Definitely a lot of fun .

The clerk that was helping us named Ivin, was very very sweet to my kido and very helpful, 5 stars for you Ivin, as far as the games in my opinion could have more of a variety, at first I thought it would be a waist of money because it's only claw machines with stuffed animals but it gets addicting because the claws actually do let you win, and the best part is that you can take your winning and exchange them for whatever bigger one you want if you want to wich is kinda cool and unusual but it does keep you

A great way to spend a few hours. Games are a great price, the only downside is they're mostly all broken in some way. Particularly the pinball machines aren't maintained at all which is sad. The playfields are completely destroyed from lack of maintenance. It's like buying a nice car but never changing the oil. A little basic maintenance would save them so much money. One is down, 3 others are unplayable (either one or both flippers don't work). The only one left runs, but with a lot of features broken and

I love coming here! My favorite arcade of all time! Very affordable and you can spend hours here.

Absolutely had a blast. These games are what I believe to be Chucky cheese games and instead of tokens they changed them to nickels. The most costly games being 6coins (30?)all the way down to 2coins. Lots of fun.

Very nostalgic. I used to go to the one in ontario. I remember it being nicer and bigger. This location had plenty of busted games 1/2 the games where ticket winning style and it was insanely crowded, but for 24$ my girlfriend and i played plently of games for 2 hours won some tickets but not really enough to get anything plus prize where a little cheesy and cost a good amount of tickets. Id forsure come here again though.

Back to the past like! Wow this is an amazing Arcade we had so much fun with my family my son loves it! They have real $0.05 nichel?? real tickets! The last time that I playing games like that was 1991 ?? clean place, clean bathrooms. The employee was very friendly. I have nothing to complain about. Thank you hands down. Good job!! ?????????? If you are near to Disneyland, this is a must!! come in and check this out You're not going to regret it.

Is a great experience for kids and adults is fun the machines games are 6 nickels each and is different ones 4 or 5 or 6 nickels machines, I have 3 kids and i give 10 dollars each and they have so much fun, don't forget they charge like 2 or 3 dollars per person totally worth it , parking is good is like a plaza so good parking space

asked one of the staff for her name i dont know if she was a manager or not and she said "im not allowed to give out my name" i found it weird because usually the staff never have a issue with that but this girl made it seem like if i wanted to come and stalk her or something lol

I went today with my family and is always a cool place to go with the kids, but during our stay today there, my wife was playing with my youngest son put 5 nickels and the game did no start, we put a couple of more nickels just to be sure we did not misscount (the game was set for 5) and it was not working, we talk with the staff and she just got there put some coins and say it was working, and se could no return our coin or believes us, is a shame because this place is really good, they need to improve the

This is a hidden gem! Family and I love this place for $28 a family of 4 can have an hour or two of fun. Good for anyone ages 5-99. Good pizza place next door.

Great place to take the kids for an hour or two. The games are well maintained. The staff was also very helpful and patient when my kids were redeeming their tickets.

So fun! ?? will be back! The workers there were so helpful too.

This is always a fun outing for me and the boys. A little far but well worth the relaxing drive. Not expensive. Cool games.

I had a Good time with friends, and the Kid. Not all the games gives you tickets but it's still pretty Chill

Great place to play games with friends or go out on a date that doesn't break the bank. Admission is $2. You pay for a bag of nickles ($2, $4, $10) and just play away. Games go from 1 nickle to 6 nickles. Luck, skill, shooting and racing games. Deal or no deal....carnival games. A beer pong game. Air hockey. Really fun way to spend the night! Highly recommend :)

Such a bargain. $2 entry. 15? to 30? per play on games like Time Crisis 3-5, new immersive Halo co-op "Fireteam Raven" game by 343 (actual studio that makes the Halo franchise), Mario Cart, Jurassic Park, Basketball Hoops, Skeeball, 10 ft LED Space Invaders, & SOO MUCH MORE.

Great place. Good bang for your buck. Several different kinds of games. Lots of kids! Tickets get you typical toys and candy

Really amazing video game arcade! One of the best i've seen this year!! They have new games, down to classics and also some rare titles!! The machines take a beating just because of the traffic you get in nickel arcades. Also, be prepared for coin jams everywhere!! They have some great rare music games: Beatmania Core-Remix and Hiphop mania complete mix 2. Also classics, pinballs, retros, candy's. They also have a Dance Dance Revolution Supernova 2 and Guitar Freaks v8. Amazing! Only thing bad is the amount

For you guys to charge a 2 year entry fee is insane. There should be an age limit where they are free.

Had a great time at Nickel Nickel. Average game cost about 30 cents. You can have a good time on about $20. Its easy to win tickets and although the prizes aren't that great it is fun. Great place for kids. Not really for gamers looking to play old skool arcade games. Which I wish there was some that worked.

I came here for the pinball and they do have 5 machines. However, the Deadpool machine is out of order, the Guardians had a broken screen, and one flipper on Jurassic Park was sticking, all of the machines were filthy and have never been cleaned or serviced. So sad. However, at 20 cents (4 nickels) per game, the price was good. They also have arcade games including many multiplayer. Might be a fun place for arcade and ticket games.

Till the best place to okay arcade when all games are less than 30 cents. Do not try to win tickets because you will load your fun and money

Crowded and adults stay at the games that give the most tickets, making it impossible for kids to play. Also, some games didn't work but didn't say it, so we put our coins in, and nothing happened.

I actually had a blast at this place! Was my first time and would definitely go again. Makes you feel like a kid again, for friendly prices. Wish they had food though... or at least allowed you to bring the Pizza Hut in from next door ??

Some cool classics like time crisis and centipede were there and they had physical paper tickets which was very cool.

I had alot of fun. You can get beer next door at the roundtable

Great place! The workers were busy cleaning machines while people played. Came here with a $25 budget and my family had a lot of fun and won some entertaining prizes! Favorite game was indeed MarioKart! ??????????

good games not so expensive and enjoyed better.

Been here twice with my family and we love it! Tons of fun, it's very clean and inexpensive!! It's a $2 entry fee per person and each game is between 1-8 nickels so no game is over .40cents! Gets really busy on weekends so be prepared for crowds. Would absolutely recommend this arcade to anyone looking for inexpensive family fun!

First visit and the place was ok and fun for the kids. There was several arcade machines out of order.

Nickle nickle! 5 cent games! (More like 20 cent or 30 cent games) still worth it. There's also a $2 entrance fee which isn't bad. Fun way to kill a few hours. If you've been to round 1 this place is it's little, little brother.

Nickel Nickel was a great combination of fun with the kids and nostalgia all wrapped in one. I preferred it to the Chuck E. Cheese types of places and my 3 boys of all different ages each had a blast for roughly $30. You can't beat that!

Prices are pretty cheap, and games were pretty fun, but staff were meh.

What a great place. We enjoyed it very much. My grands 5/24/22

We celebrated our son's 3rd birthday here with Nickel Nickel's Party Package C. We had about 18 kids and 20 adults show up. The package came with drinks, goody bags, 100 nickles for each kid, birthday hats, invitations, party host, and XL pizzas from Round Table. While the kids had fun, I think the adults had more fun. Unlike Chuck-E-Cheese, the games here were all working and the facility was well kept. There was a wide selection of games for all ages. Our host and his staff were friendly and accommodating

5 cent games, usually 1 - 6 nickels per play for a variety of games. Coin pushers are my favorites, usually 2 nickels per play for the good ones, so much fun and nostalgic!!

Took my two young grandsons here for some fun. Unfortunately, I have a broken foot. Despite nobody using the party room, they would not let me use one of the forty chairs in there. Unbelievable. Was going to do a party there this summer but not now.

It's rare these days to find a nickel arcade that still uses coins and traditional tickets (rather than digital player cards) so this was quite nostalgic and fun. There was a wide variety of games, most of them functioning, and our kids were definitely very entertained.

You get what you pay for. The admission is $2.00 and you can buy nickels in bags of $3, $4, $5, and $10 amounts. They have a coin machine as well. Some of the games we played ate the coins, so that was dissappointing. It is a nickel arcade, so the games cost an average of 4 nickles per game. I would say it is worth the amount I paid.

Its a Good Place to have fun for the whole family, only thing it needs rides for the little ones!! Or more kid/Toddlers friedly games.

Lots of fun! Uses Nickels 4-6 for most games! Makes for a great hangout spot amount teens and kids. Great variety of adult games and kid games, and prizes where pretty great! Came in on a Tues and was pretty crowded which indicates it's popularity. Staff was very kind and bathrooms were clean!!!

Had a total blast, spent about 3 hours playing and only spent like 30dlrs plus entry fee for 3 people. Great place to bring entire family and by the look inside you can have a birthday or any kind of party there as well. Will be coming back for sure.

Great place to take the family and really inexpensive. You can buy a bag of nickels at the front and play on a lot of games. There are even free old school games towards the back. Would definitely come back!

Just know the big prizes are out of reach. You have to come with the intent of just having a good time, and not cashing out on big prizes.

Long time favorite and one of few remaining arcades in the area that still run on physical coins. Incredible selection of redemption and arcade games. Unfortunately many games have long been in a state of disrepair, arcade games especially. These are eventually replaced with newer redemption games, but it can take some time. 10/10 worth the visit, just remember how much you're paying and don't be surprised if you run into some issues along the way. Staff are usually understanding and willing to right wrongs

I went with my son and grandkids, the kids had a lot of fun. It wasn't too crowded so it was great.

Yo! A real arcade. Admission is 2 bucks a person. There is a variety of games. Most are ticket wins but the nickel gimmick is a big draw. You don't really notice how much you are playing until you are out $20 in 10 minutes. Ahh...the good old arcade style. Towards the back the games are free or significantly less. They aren't as well kept or don't work at all but they don't spit out tickets either. I mean, Marvel vs Capcom 2 on a cabinet for 10 cents? KILLER DEAL!

Its what you'd expect from games that use nickels. Still inexpensive fun for an hour!

Great customer service. Great games. Great prices. Awesome place to take the kids or even just go on a date. The environment is awesome! I've been there a few times and will continue to go.

$2.00 to get in and all the nickels you can buy. With $ 20.00 you can have fun for about an hour to two.

Kids love this place

The staff were great, helpful, and quick when a machine got stuck. I brought an 11 and 14 year old and they enjoyed it. We only have mixed feelings on the tickets being weighed for a count.

This place is just awesome!! Fun arcade games. Some games starting at nickel, no game passes 6 nickels . Honestly my son's favorite little getaway just to have some fun gaming time together, win some tickets and get some cool prizes since they do have a nice little assortment of goodies to choose from. Kids 3 and up and adults will enjoy for sure.

The free retro games were the highlight. We came for a party and had a blast . A few games we played ran out of tickets but staff quickly resolved any issues. So high five to them it was a busy Saturday.

I hadn't been to a Nickel Nickel in well over a decade but it was still just as fun as I remembered. We spent so much time here and had a blast with all the games. Plenty of options; shooters, hunting, pinballs, arcades, and so many other miscellaneous games. Staff are great. Prizes are cheap little things as usual but it's great! Even though some games are out of service it didn't take awav from the fun times.

I went with my son and they didn't let my kid in with his backpack even though there were another kids with thier backpacks this is ridiculous and discrimination from this manager ????

It was fun but it was dirty it had games that just ate the coins

What a fun place! We came when it wasn't too busy and had a blast! All the staff were super helpful and friendly. Lots of different games to play and everything seemed to be working while we were there. Can't wait for our next visit!

A lot of their games while being cheap, were in bad condition with all of their free play games having at least 1 issue or not working at all. All of their ticket games had horrible payouts even compared to other arcades and don't allow you to win a jackpot after someone else had just gotten it. It's a fun place to go for fun but if you are going for the older games, you're not going to have a great time.

My son love this place Very clean Teenager always smile and helpful Thanks a lot

This place is awesome! There is no game more than 6 nickles, which is $.30. That much for a game of air hockey or other top notch arcade games that are $1-2 dollars elsewhere. There's some throwback classics as well. $.20 for games of ski ball. I spent 2 hours here with myself and my two nephews. I spent $36 dollars and had to exchange $7 worth of nickels back before we left cause we were game out before the nickes ran out.

Spent $14 for both me and my son for a little over an hour of playing games. The only thing it was a lil crowded in there but for the 2 of us it was manageable. Very satisfied

Very nostalgic for me and my husband! Growing up there was one down the street from me in Anaheim hills. It was the best and one day we went to go there and it was gone! I had no idea they still existed. The only issue I had was that some games didn't work/didn't give you enough tickets. Other than that it's was so much fun and inexpensive. We would definitely go again!

I went to have a fun time with daughters and just because I had a watter bottle to make my younger daughter her bottle of milk they didn't let me in won't be coming back

Nickel Nickel is ?ok?. Lots of ticket games and claw machines. Most games are 5 to 6 nickels to play, and many are not in good condition (bumper on star wars pinball didn't work, grenade button on Halo didn't work, one of the guitars on guitar hero didn't work). It scratches the arcade itch, but the amount of broken machines left me feeling a little nickel and dimed.

Located in the shopping center next to UFC gym. They have a lot of fun games. The only big let down was marvel vs Capcom had a broken joy stick. I enjoyed my time here will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful place. As with any arcade. Some games ate my money.. yesnits just 30cents for the minimum game. But those nickles run out fast. Don't like the ticket hogs.. people who sit on the only game that pays out good tickets. Mostly the adults.. but overall. A fun place

I'm a Vietnamese man came from the mother land to see the cool arcade of America and this was my first arcade in US not every good cause some game control was every wak to scam player guest only japan have any respecte the enjoyment is OK cause of the free gam in the back of the store

We had a blast, no outside food or drinks, not even water bottles so I could fill up at the fountain, so that was upsetting since you know, water should be free and most of us are dehydrated, but other then that, super attentive employees, friendly, and fun place. Pinball machines need work for sure, but lots of other games to play, none over 30c. Prizes fun enough. Stayed two hours and spent $19 with admission for two people. Fun date day with my little man.

Great place to play arcade games. It's $2 admission and then the cost of the nickles which they have in bags. They have a good variety of ticket games, racing, and action games. Overall would recommend for a fairly priced fun time!

Location on harbor Blvd are very disrespectful, with attitudes. A young girl with braces and glasses when entering nickel nickel instead of welcoming me she asked with an attitude of I had a stamp when I literally walked in and I wanted to speak to the person in charge she said no one was hthier at the moment then asked her name she said she's not allowed to give.i came to have a good time with my son not for us to get treated with attitude and disrespect, eyes rolling from across the the facility was not r

Place is fun and inexpensive, you're in there for quite a while. The only thing I don't like is the amount of broken games and especially since they're the really good games like Guitar Hero and The House of the Dead 2. Either way it's still a fun place to hang out with friends and have a cheap but long lasting experience. Just please fix your games.

Not the largest arcade but we had plenty of fun either way. The games run on nickels but most of them will need more than 1 to operate with the best games usually costing around 6. Still, that's not bad, 30 cents a play is cheaper than most anywhere you go for newer games. The store was clean and the staff was very friendly. If you plan to visit more often consider the discount card. Admission is usually 2 dollars but the discount card is 8 admissions for 10 dollars.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
