This place is hands down, hard to beat when it comes to arcade and pinball selection & variety. We were here for five hours and there was always something new to see because there are wall-to-wall nerdy pop culture decorations everywhere; including the bathrooms. I liked how surprisingly clean everything was for the amount of people there and could see the staff actively cleaning and sanitizing games as they walked by. The volume of the games was really low so I wish they could turn it up a bit as I played

Next Level is currently the greatest arcade in the face of the Earth. 670+ games on free play for $22 admission is an ABSOLUTE STEAL! It is an unbeatable price for the selection and quality of games. They have some of the most rare pinball games ever made and there are also an insane amount of arcade games. I've made the trip down from Seattle over a dozen times and plan vacations just for this. You can bring food in and they have a few tables but they just have snacks and a few vending machines for beverag

It's a very interesting place with a friendly staff and very clean. Has a bunch of pinball machines and a lot of other games. They have 2 vendors outside that you can buy food and drink from. You can go outside anytime you want to and come back in to resume your game playing.

This place is incredible! A Disneyland for kids and kids at heart! So much fun memorabilia to see and enjoy! The pinball machines are amazing! We spent 2 hours in here but it went by so fast! Could have easily spent another couple hours! It can get pretty crowded but the way this place is laid out really helps funnel people through. There are several staff walking around wiping down the machines and keeping the entire place clean. There are also food trucks outside if you get hungry and need to give your pi

Had a great time with my daughter and her boyfriend. I was so amazed with all the different things haging on the walls,in the restrooms .It was all great. You pay 23 dollars you can stay as long as you like, and play any machine in the place. My favorite was pac man...lol

Let's just say I haven't played the Arcade game "Sunset Riders" since I was about 9 or 10 years old and was able to play that tonight at Next Level! Between that and all of the memorabilia as well as nostalgic games you can reconnect with that you had forgotten all about, this place is an epic treasure trove of ancient, modern and the eclectic all rolled into one!!! Do NOT miss your chance to experience the superb magnitude of this museum and gaming warehouse of lights, sounds and entertainment through the

Have been wanting to go here the last few trips to visit family. Finally went this year. This place is awesome! I found my favorite pinball machines. I would have stayed longer, but the rest of the family weren't as thrilled ??

What an incredible arcade! Step into the past as you walk into a massive display of maximalist decor and memorabilia of everything from magazines to figurines, and even beanie babies! Oh, and the games are great too. Also, the value is so good! $22 for all you can play games. I also love that it's family owned. If you're in the portland metro area this is a must visit. I took my nephew and we had the best time.

Prepare to be amazed! Next Level Arcade isn't just an arcade; it's a vibrant, maximalist wonderland overflowing with nostalgia and pure gaming joy. Imagine stepping into a massive space packed with over 670 meticulously maintained arcade and pinball games, all available on free play for an unbelievable $22 admission. Seriously, it's an absolute steal! This isn't just your average arcade; it's a treasure trove of gaming history, boasting some of the rarest pinball machines ever created alongside an insane se

Wow, such a fun place to spend a day. A little arcade heaven in Hillsboro! One fee to get in and free arcade games all day! Come and go with your bracelet makes it easy to go grab food nearby and come back to get scared on the Japanese horror game. ;) (I screamed really loud). Love this place. Great staff and owners and really clean environment. Coming back often! ??

Biggest Pinball & Arcade location on the West Coast. Great value if you can spend a lot of time. Their focus is primarily on Pinball and they have a huge collection of Pinball and Arcades. The machines are in generally in great shape, the website is up to date and has a useful list of what's available. Everywhere you look you'll see something nostalgic, it's almost overwhelming with all the memorabilia, lunchboxes, etc... Because I'm really more into Arcades, I do see they are missing a lot of the class

This place is truly the best arcade I've ever been to. It's massive and has something for everyone. The price is great. You can come and go as you please. The selection of pinball is incredible.

This place is AWESOME!!! What a wonderful concept. 1 flat rate for the day (wrist band), come and go as much as you want. Bring food and non-alcoholic beverages in, there is 2 food trucks in their parking lot. Wonderful for ALL ages, step back into memory lane and enjoy!

This is a great place to visit. We definitely got our money's worth with the all-day pass. Huge selection of pinball machines, 4 skee ball, and 100's of arcade games. You can spend a lot of time here.

I am blown away by the quality and consumer minded practices of this establishment. For $23, you get full unlimited access to every single game in the establishment for the entire day. The only exception is a few vending machine style games, offering physical prizes such as candy and Pokemon cards. The entire building was incredibly clean from the parking lot, to the game cabinets, carpet, and bathrooms. Several times, I saw employees cleaning games as soon as I left them even though it was a busy Saturday

Every game you ever played growing up and a hundred more you never even heard of, plus a good selection of current titles, all on free play. I love this pricing model: I can never really get into a game when I have to think about each quarter as I feed it in. Oh, and did I mention the pinball? I don't think I knew how much I enjoyed pinball! Definitely a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Phenomenal!! The "museum" is maybe more epic than the games!! They are missing a few things like micro machines ?? Awesome adventure. We will be back!

Absolutely, fantastic. We had a great time and spent 6 hours here. Best arcade I have been to hands down. Both the game selection and pinball selection range from nostalgic to modern. Best of all, the James actually work, nothing was broken down and just worked. If that weren't enough the theming and nerd memorabilia make this place a gem. Just go here.

the best, most well maintained and biggest arcade I've ever been to in my entire life. it is well worth the price of admission and they have re-entry for the whole day as long as you have your wristband. they also allow you to bring in outside food and drinks, though they do have some old school drink vending machines there. i love this place so much. I have spent multiple days playing games and have still never scratched the surface. it is one of my favorite places in the world. a true gamer's paradise. i

OMG this place was amazing!! It was so much better than I thought possible! We played for hours til our arms were sore and we were sad to leave. Can't wait to tell everyone I know how cool it was! We will definitely be back!

Wow wow wow!!! What a great experience!!! We love pinball and this place doesn't disappoint. They have every arcade game imaginable and then some. Food choice is limited to a couple of food trucks which can be a little spendy, however, it's good food for what it is. The great thing about Next Level is the wrist band. $22 for unlimited daily play, except prize (claw) machines. That way you can leave and come back later that day.

Wide varieties of games. All day in and out with $22. Can play 600+ games with the entrance fee. Can take food inside and eat in their small sitting area. They have tons of pinball games with varieties of themes. Huge collections of old games and barbies originals. It is good to go with +1 or group of friends. There are lots of multiplayer games to have competitions on.

Literally 10/10. You could be there for hours and not get bored. Great value. Good vibes. Plenty of space even when busy. Would recommend for all ages!

This place is nuts. First off it is so clean. It has tons of memorabilia on the walls. Tons of free games. Not just pinball. It's very chill and fun. I went on a Thursday afternoon. It wasn't busy but it wasn't empty either. Can't wait to take my game and movie fan friends back.

I had very few expectations of this place, just wanted to kill 2hrs before our movie started. We were blown away! I'm not big into Arcades or pinball, but the video game paraphernalia was incredible, the sheer size of the place was stunning, and there were enough games from my childhood to keep us busy for 2hrs easily before we had to leave. Great value with the entrance fee and then free play as well, we were able to try a bunch of games without worrying if we'd like them and we definitely felt we got our

Best arcade ever! Everything is in great shape and works. Staff is friendly and works hard to maintain this fun and clean environment. This is one of the largest pinball collections in America!

Their name suits them well!! Outstanding arcade and museum not to mention great prices on gift shop items! The building is jam packed full of retro games, new games, hundreds of pinball machines, claw machines, and foosball even! They also have plenty of shooting games, ride-on games, and ski ball! Lots of seats throughout. Stools for the littles. A small indoor eating area and a covered one outside by the food trucks. This was a packed week (the week after Christmas), but there were still so many machines

Wow! Such a cool place! We were there for 2 1/2 hours and could have stayed longer! I am not a huge arcade/game person- but when you don't have to pay for each game, it makes it so fun to try new things! I think the $23 price is super reasonable. ESPECIALLY considering how much you can spend at a regular arcade and you play so many more games here! My brother had the party room for 2 hours. Nice to have a central place to meet and access to a fridge and freezer. Just a very fun night and I can't wait to go

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!**This place is just awesome for both kids and adults. Over 600 classic arcade, pinball and modern video games surrounded by tons of gaming and entertainment memorabilia. $22 for an adult all-day pass... a bit pricey so I'd personally limit my visits but if you live in the area they have a membership that would overall reduce your cost on multiple visits. Some games cost money but most are on free play. And if you're hungry there are food trucks right outside. This place is out in the b

So much fun!! This was the first time I had ever been here. Came here for my 50th birthday and had a BLAST!! Can't wait to come back in June with my son! This is by far one of my favorite places and would recommend it ??

So many pinball machines and arcade games (old and new). Spent about two hours here and had a lot of fun racing, pinballing, and playing. This place is huge!!

Hillsboro?s best kept secret. I'm not typically an arcade person, but this place makes me appreciate the nostalgia of it all. The place is super clean and well-kept. There are staff walking around to ensure cleanliness and upkeep. I love the business model- you pay for a wrist band that allows you unlimited play to all machines (except the ones that give prizes). Was able to take a step back in time and re-live moments that made being a kid so much fun.

This place is way beyond expectations. I thought that I had been to some cool arcades in the past, but this spot is NEXT LEVEL. The amount of classic machines of all types, the collectibles, the decor, the level of high maintenance quality to up keep the games, etc. are completely above par. There might not be another place in the entire world quite like Next Level. The all day pass is worth it as you would not run out of things to do. In fact you need to keep coming back to truly see everything they have

This place really is NEXT LEVEL. The price of the wrist band seemed a bit steep, but we ended up spending hours here throughout the day. With in and out privileges it is so easy to get your money?s worth. I was blown away by the size of the space, the amount of games (especially pinball), the numerous collections on display (action figures, lunch boxes, and other memorabilia) and the attentive team they have working on site. The only thing I wasn't a fan of were the shrieking sounds of children. But obvs? u

I love this place....my kids love this place. It is a full day of affordable fun! Great value and has a lot of vintage and modern memorabilia that any age can enjoy. And the video games are literally wall to wall. Would recommend for anyone.

Incredible!!! They have every game you can think of. Tons of themed pink ball machines, claw machines, and an amazing food pod!! I highly recommend. For 22$ a person you can play as long as you want from open till close 12pm-12am

I play pinball and have visited countless arcades, bowling alleys, bars, convenience stores, laundromats, and boardwalks. Many were good, some were horrible, and a few were truly great. But none of them hold a candle to Next Level. I could easily be convinced this is the best pinball arcade in the world. With more than 300 pinball machines, every single one is in top-notch condition. The playfields are cleaned, waxed, and equipped with excellent rubber. All the lamps light up beautifully, and if a ball eve

Amazing! So many machines to choose from! It gets a bit crowded but it's very fun. Be sure to keep a close eye on your belongings, someone stole our reusable water bottle basically right from under our noses. Love the Elton John and Labyrinth pinball machines! Staff was friendly and helpful also. Even going to the restroom was fun with all of the decor.

Next Level was a huge amount of fun. Great for going as a small group, where people can wander off on their own or stay together to play against each other. The flat rate, play-all-you-want model is fantastic, with the number and variety of machines. In addition to pinball and other arcade games, the walls are lined with pop culture treasures - lunch boxes, comic books, GI Joes, vintage calendars, bobble heads, and I'm sure I've forgotten something. A highlight for me was finding Eight Ball Deluxe, a game f

This place was next level. So many rooms of games - so easy to get swept away and lose track of time. We spent 4.5 hours here and had a blast. Best part of the pay for all you can play is when you suck at pinball you don't feel so bad that you play was short. Amazing time.

This place is crazy fun. A museum is one way to describe it, because of the classic arcade cabinets and pinball games. But the decorations covering almost every inch of wall space is an ode to pop culture surrounding the arcade and the games we play in them. There are so many arcade cabinets and pinball machines that you can't even see all of the decorations on the walls behind them. Even the bathroom is decorated with vintage game cartridges and toys. Every game is free-play (no throwing away quarters) exc

What an amazing place. So much larger than I even expected and tons of cool unexpected stuff decorated everywhere. A must see!

Ever since my son discovered this place he and his buddies are always asking to go back. Great place to spend the day, fun for kids and adults. Don't miss this gem! Highly recommend

If you like pinball and video games, this is the place for you. It seems a little pricey until you realize that you could easily spend as much, if not more, at a regular arcade. There is so much to see here, other than just the games. Many games have an informative card on them to tell when they were released, how many were made, and some history. I was torn between reading and playing several times. Everything seemed very clean. I appreciate that someone was regularly cleaning the glass on the machines, ma

I was very impressed with this place. It's clean and well maintained. It really feels like it is geared towards the customer. Paying to get in and having the games on free play makes it so much more enjoyable, especially with multiple kids. Being able to bring in outside food is also such a a bonus. Great concept and execution. I can't stop telling people about this place.

It's better than Disneyland for someone who grew up in the 80's and early 90's. You must go if you like arcade games and pinball. ????

This is easily one of the funnest places our family has ever been to. Even those who didn't like video games ended up having a blast (I had one daughter who didn't even want to go and ended up playing games for 4 hours!). Whenever we are back in the Portland area, we will make it a point to come here. Clean, fun, safe, and highly entertaining. Unbelievable selection of games but the number of pinball games they had was truly staggering. Plan to spend a lot of time here - we lost track of time while play

Absolutely worth several hours of your time. Almost the entire building is free to play, my kids loved it, there are so many amazing machines in here. Video arcade games in addition to pinball on free play. Lots I had never seen before. Appreciate the in-out band so we could grab some food and rally for our second half. For the time spent and fun had, admission is well worth it. Even for a family of 4 it was cheaper and more fun than Chuck e cheese or Bullwinkle's, and my kids didn't bring a bunch of plasti

An amazing place! There isn't a single space on the walls that's not covered in pop culture merchandise. Such an incredible archive! It's also very clean, and there's hand sanitizers at the ready everywhere. A very well loved and cared for arcade! Everyone I've taken there has been very impressed.

Definitely a place to check out if you are in the area or from the area. This place is so big you definitely need a whole day to get through all the games. They have so many games it was amazing. They have a set fee to enter and you can play unlimited. Some games do costs extra. Overall this is a great place to hang!

Had a great time!!! Kids enjoyed it tremendously!!! The gentleman at the front was very kind.

I absolutely love this place but it is now so popular, I fear, it's a victim of its own success. ?? I would recommend coming while kids are in school unless you like a crowd. Good for them though! It's nice to see an arcade succeeding and this one is a gem. Flat price (currently $22) to stay open to close or any portion thereof. In and out privileges with food carts outside. $40-$50 and your whole day is planned!

If you are a fan of classic arcade games or any kind of fan of pinball ? You know I shouldn't tell this secret cuz I want to save it for myself ? but man this place is amazing Any kind of pinball machine you ever want to play is here. The staff were so incredibly nice and communicative. I saw someone cleaning the machines in every room ? and there are a lot of rooms. I felt safe and could just focus on the amazing games. If you like games this is the place to go. $22 entry fee is a discount considering t

This place is crazy!!! I'm talking wall to wall pinball machines as well as plenty of old school arcade games. All free play for an all day pass for $22 per person. And the collectibles/memorabilia is just as impressive. Well done @Next Level!!

This place is so flipping cool! So many great games, as well as an enormous collection of pop culture nostalgic stuff, and the world's largest lunchbox collection. Lots of full size comic and sci-fi characters perched throughout the building. Nerd City ?? I see why this place is voted best pinball arcade in the world. After spending 4 hours there this afternoon, I concur. But my feet are killing me.

It's the most awesome collection of pinball machines, and pop culture items. It's a must see even if you don't play.

AMAZING!! Easily 5/5!! The place is so insanely well decorated and themed, the games are all very fun and in excellent condition, and the staff are constantly walking around cleaning machines. We're visiting from Utah and this was a perfect way to spend a rainy day!! If you're in the area I would definitely recommend it to anyone!!

This place is fantastic!! I'm a huge fan of pinball, so I was already sold on the venture at that point! Add on the old school video games, plus some Guitar Hero and it's a fun night! I do like that it's a flat rate to get in and have unlimited play (except for prize games). The food carts out front are an added bonus! We ate at the pasta cart! Such good food!! We will definitely be back!!

The coolest place! They have like every popular arcade game from the 80s, all on original machines. Their machines are all in excellent condition considering how old they are. They have an incredible assortment of pinball machines - all original machines - but look brand new. They also have an abundant amount of retro collections of toys, lunch boxes, etc... It's so fun to look at all of that old stuff from your childhood. The collections span several decades up into the 2000s. I could go on and on, but tw

I've never seen so much awesomeness in 1 place! Games from the dawn of arcades to current releases and reboots of classics (that Rampage is a work of art). The cost to get in is a fraction of what you'd pay to play a fraction of the games here if you were at a barcade or bowling alley so the cost isn't even a consideration, and 10 visits gets you a free one with membership to their loyalty program. The staff is hard working, friendly and eager to assist you with your game related questions and concerns. And

Wow! What a great experience! So much amazing memorabilia! My head was on a swivel! The staff is great! Very welcoming and informative. The facility is amazingly clean. The bathrooms are immaculate! There are a few food trucks outside. A pizza place and a fresh and made noodle joint! Like I said, WOW!

Such a fun spot to be! Only 23$ to enter and you can play all day! If you leave- just make sure to keep your wristband on so you can get back in. Just about all games are free except for claw machine type games. Also the noodle spot outside is sooo yummy!

Why go to round 1 or Chuck E. Cheese when you have this place. Loved it! So many pinball and arcade machines. Claw machines cost money. Food trucks outside. Great date night or fun with family! They have party rooms there too. Great value

One of the most amazing places I've ever been. We spent like 6 hours there and only left because we ran out of steam. The staff is great, very friendly and they are always cleaning the machines, we liked that. Worth the drive from Vancouver and worth the entry fee. I can't wait to go back.

This place is awesome what next level says about their place online is true 22.00 gets you in and more then 90% of the games are included if I had to mention a con it's just a little warm in there but with all the machines running and people in there I guess that's to be expected I think there was maybe two games that were out of order and that whole place in every game I played worked flawlessly

It is hard to describe how cool this place is. You just have to come and experience it for the day. It's just $22 to get in which is a great deal. They have hundreds of machines to play on for free. The staff do a great job of continually cleaning machines. Someone was always walking the area wiping them down as they went. They also repair them as any issues arise. It's a great space and I know I'll be back for sure. Even with a mostly full parking lot, it doesn't feel crowded inside. Their air system is mo

Best arcade the family and I have ever been to! Impressed with so much. Lots of employees around cleaning and making sure everything is running smoothly. So many games from old school all the way up to new modern ones. Highly recommend! ??

Next Level is a great place to spend a weekend afternoon. The facility is clean and well organized. The machines are spaced out, so there is plenty of room. The variety of machines is amazing. There is something for just about everyone. The level of sound didn't seem that bad either. The show piece is, of course, the pinball machines.

Went here for the first time couple weeks ago on a Thursday. Found out earlier on week that they are closed Mon-Wed. Parking can fill up front lot quickly but they do have lots of additional parking behind their building but can be a long walk to front doors. But it is a safe and secure area. Everyone who enters, even if you aren't playing the games pays one price and almost all games are free to play. They have a HUGE selection of pinball and old style arcade games! My son and I were there for 2-3hours a

My son and I went 5/16/2025 and had a great time. The place is HUGE - pinball and arcade games lining every wall and room, along with rare collectibles and other memorabilia. Truly an amazing place. Highly recommend!

I've driven by this place so many times and thought to myself, "I need to check it out sometime." Why did I wait so long?!?! We visited here as a family today and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!!! Highly recommended! We were able to leave for a quick dinner and then come back until they closed. So many of the games are free with admission: older to newer pinball machines and arcade games. Some enjoyed ski-ball and air hockey. There's a huge variety that should appeal to many different ages and backgrounds. We can't

Absolutely amazing! I've worked at the local motorcycle shop down the road since 2017, and I pass by this place daily. Today, I decided to take the boy, and it was better than imagined. So so sooo many games, arcade and pinball. I played for hours. Staff was friendly. This has got to be one of the cleanest establishments in the area inside and out. I'll most definitely be back. I don't care where or how far you live, if you enjoy games. Make the journey, the memorabilia alone is stunning. Thanks again.

This place is absolutely amazing! I feel like a kid again, it's so massive that I could stay there for a week and maybe get through every game. Good food trucks outside and nearby, decent bathrooms, seating around the facility, snack and merchandise options, this place is worth every penny and I'm looking forward to coming back.

This place is amazing and a sensory overload but in a good way! 22 bucks for all day play is a steal and they have something for everyone. We will definitely be back. Also you can bring in your own food and drinks as long as you stay in designated area which is a huge plus.

There was a decent amount of parking when we arrived. The facility was clean and well-kept. It was also not as loud as we expected, which was a pleasant surprise. Free re-entry and a space to bring/eat were both welcome additions. The variety of machines and the layout made the experience even better. Easily providing plenty of entertainment. Other than the location being a bit out of the way for us, it was well worth the price of admission. We will definitely be back!

This place is AMAZING! Overwhelming in only the best of ways and beautifully curated. Their collection of arcade games and pinball brought back a flood of childhood memories. I even found a game that I have not seen much less played in 30 yrs, and it made my heart so happy. ?? Put Next Level on your "Must See" list, and make sure you set aside plenty of time to see everything!

Next Level Pinball Shop & Museum was a blast for both us and our kids. There are so many options included in one cost, making it a great value. We visited on a Friday afternoon, and it wasn't crowded. We spent at least 5 hours there, and time just flew by while we were playing. With hundreds of games, there's something for everyone. The rooms are decorated in different themes, like Super Mario, Hot Wheels, famous movies, etc. Our younger one even found some rare Pok?mon cards as part of the decorations, whi

If you like video games or pinball this is the place you want to be. Went to visit my boys in Portland (Forest Grove) and this was one of the first places they took me. So much fun and affordable! Loved it!

5 stars does not even begin to cover it. It is the ultimate arcade!! As well pop culture overload. It is a must go place. Great for 1 person, or a whole group outing. Great place for birthday parties as well!

Hands down the best arcade I've ever been too. Hardly any broken machines, techs actively wiping down games, MONSTER selection, friendly staff. Well worth the entry fee. Could spend all day here and not play every game.

SO much to see! Pleasantly overwhelming. The parking lot was full, but I think there was maybe 1 time I was waiting to get on a game. The place is huge, so people are pretty scattered out, which is a plus. Tons to do and see. Machines have cupholders & they have snacks & drinks available for purchase (no alcohol). Staff was informative & helpful. We'll be back! Thanks for a great date night.

I'm glad we didn't skip this place. Yes, all the games are fantastic. Yes, more arcade and pinball than you've ever seen in one place ever. Also, the coolest gift shop has vintage toys at such affordable prices. My only regret is we didn't have more time to spend there.

I was in awe going into this place. There was so much stuff in here to see. They have a huge selection of pinball machines and classic arcade machines. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.

Kinda awe inspiring to be fair. Free play with admission. Tons (over 300) of Pinball from modern high tech to older style analog machines. Too many video arcade games going back years to modern video games. Fun for all ages. Definitely played enough Pinball to cover the cost of admission. Was very busy but everyone was courteous and patient. Plenty of staff on hand wiping/sanitizing machines.

One of the best things you can do in the Pacific Northwest that isn't nature-related. The amount of love poured into this place shines in every nook and cranny. If you're on the fence, go now and support this place, it has earned its title of best place in the world to play pinball for a reason.

This place just has it all. It only costs $22 to get in and play seemingly endless arcade games as well as a bountiful collection of pinball machines (claw machines that give you prizes require payment though, understandably). Not to mention the whole place is a little nerdy pop culture museum all throughout with tons of stuff to look at. You won't get bored here. I love the collection of games they have here. A ton of nostalgic classic games exist, including some more obscure and niche ones (I geeked out

We love this place! Such a great deal! There are so many games, and this place is kept very clean. I love bringing my nephews here to play in the new Mario area and to show them games from my childhood, as well! The Christmas decorations were so fun! There are comfy spots to sit if you're not playing games and a spot to have a snack if you get hungry. There are a couple of food carts outside, as well. They also display thousands of cool pieces of memorabilia, and it's fun to just wander and look at all of t

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025!
