Great place for my son's birthday party. The staff was very accommodating, made sure everyone had fun. The kids enjoyed all the games and had an especially exciting time on the Shuttle 39 ride. They even gave my son a surprise gift at the end and were really relaxed about having others in attendance, including a rambunctious baby.
Visited this VR experience today with my two girls for a daddy daughter(s) date today. Im 40, my eldest is 16, and my youngest is 9. Wasn't sure what to expect as this our first time doing this. They're were quite a few VR games to choose from (We played two) and rode the big ride called ?The Roto Loco?. Though this place is small it is absolutely a great time for a spouse date, parent and children outting or a party for kids. Definitely will return to patron this innovative business as it brings a great
This ride is amazing!!!! I usually get motion sick because of equilibrium issues, but they truly figured out how to avoid these issues. And the guys there are super nice. I was by myself and needed a ?pilot?, so one of them offered to ride with me while the other guy took pictures of our ride and emailed them to me. How awesome is that, huh? Can highly recommend checking out the VR ride at new world rides in Tallahassee- you'll love it.
Well worth 15 bucks! I'm a rollercoaster fanatic, but even I've never found one ten minutes long and let you go upside down as much as you want! They strap you in to a race car harness and "real" or "not" I could feel the g's alright! The VR is crisp, like 4k HiDef top of the line stuff. It's like your brain is telling you that it's real. Pro tip, ask to be the "pilot" and you get to control the whole ride! I did like 7 barrel-rolls in a row. Mind=Blown.
3 games for under $20.00 is a steal! The boys had so much fun. Definitely planning a birthday party! Had to change Spring Break plans because of the weather. This is a great alternative in Tallahassee.
New World Rides located in Railroad Square in Tallahassee is the perfect place to bring the family, or just some friends! A great deal and a great time. The games are super unique, super high quality and one of a kind. There is even a virtual reality roller coaster that spins and turns. The staff is wonderful and I can't wait to go again.
Fantastic date night fun with hubby! Nick, you're awesome and this creation of yours is amazing! We'll be back!
This was sooooo much fun!!! This VR ride is such a fun experience, very professionally run, safely operated, and just a cool, super neat experience. Go check it out in Tallahassee. It's absolutely worth a visit (great value, great customer experience, everything).
New World Rides has one of the best VR experiences that I have been to. Not only do they have a multitude of games to choose from that I was able to play with friends but its unique VR ride was amazing. I have issues with motion sickness but this ride didn't make me feel sick, it felt like I was truly in the game. The prices are amazing as the games lasted a long time, and aren't cut short like a couple of other places I have been to. Can't wait to be back to play some more games.
Alex was an amazing host! We had a wonderful time, except my husband kept killing me and our daughter on the one game. Highly recommend the zombie game! So much fun! We will be back to kill more zombies! Thanks Alex!
You've GOT to be kidding me. This is maybe the most incredible VR I've ever had the honor of experiencing, at such a reasonable price that it feels like stealing, and it's 7 hours from where I live!! But hey, it's well worth the drive. Will definitely be coming back here and bringing friends. Guys there were super helpful, knowledgeable, and chill. PLEASE open a location in SW FL!
The place is awesome, such a great atmosphere. The artwork is so cool. Checked every box for me: it was well priced, the staff were so nice, and its was entertaining. My favorite game is quantum arena. 110% RECOMMENDED
Very fun and absolutely worth the money. Their prices are so good that even if you're not sure if you're going to like VR, this is a great place to go try it out at least once. If you come alone and want a teammate, there seems to usually be an employee available who you can ask to jump in with you.
What a great time! I should begin by saying that even though my husband and I are in the category of 'senior citizen' with almost zero experience in Virtual Reality, we had a BLAST! Our ride in Shuttle 39 started with a thorough orientation from the designer himself- Nick. He set our minds at ease and took all the time needed to go through the short lesson on how to operate the controls and what to expect with the visuals. Choices for entertainment these days is often an insult to the senses but the Roto L
This was our first time playing VR and we had a lot of fun. The graphics are amazing and there is a big stage to play around with. We even came back the next day to play again. I recommend playing dead ahead and arrowsong for co-op play, and quantum arena for free-for-all.
Nick got us in for a 2v2 lazer tag game and we had an absolute blast! The game was immersive and intense, highly recommend checking out VRcade
Took my Grandson and his friends for his eleventh birthday. They all had a blast! Best granny present ever! Everyone was so nice and helpful. And now I'm the cool granny.
About 15 gets you access to some actually pretty cool games. Super friendly staff. Would highly recommend to take a family. All ages would get fun out of this place.
HIGHLY recommend! Nick and all the staff are amazing. They are super accommodating to me and my friends.
Nick was very sweet! Definitely recommend this place for VR. Its super fun and affordable!
Probably the coolest place in Tallahassee. Go try the zombie game or you're missing out.
Went here 3 times on our 2 day trip because it was SO MUCH FUN
We did the oculus virtual gaming and it was a lot of fun. A little pricey.
Fun and friendly atmosphere! This was awesome!! So futuristic
I had so much fun I went back the next day. It's contagious and I love it!

Great experience ?????
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
