1802 2nd St SW
Rochester, Minnesota 55902
Nice looking shop, but the sad part is their much higher than average prices . I will definitely never go back. There are better shops like this in Rochester that have reasonable prices. I'd definitely avoid this shop unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket.
Had to get a hard case for my son?s first really nice card and the guys here were excited, friendly, and just overall awesome. Thanks!!
I love this store!!! I've only been a couple of times as I live about an hour away but it's definitely one of my new favorite places to stop at when I'm in Rochester. They have a great variety of all things nerd. I picked up a super sledge prop from Fallout 4 last time I was there. The staff is great and very helpful and knowledgeable.
Best collector store ever. I've been looking for a Bizarro Superman for two years. Boom! They had it! This store had DC Universe stuff I've never even seen online. My favorite collector store ever. Greatest store for collectors of figures and comics. Even had original He-Man 1980s collectibles. I bought an original MOTU Battle Cat from here for $15! Wow! Love this place!!!! Check them out if you can! Definitely worth the visit! ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ??
I called the store as I have some graphic novels, "trades" as they call them, to see if they were interested in buying them from me. On the phone I was told to bring them in and they would have a look. I drove from Owatonna because I had some things to do in Rochester, When i get there they said they would have to check and see if they were accepting in these types of comics. Was told to walk around the store as they started to sort. After a few moments a shelf broke. The guy came up to me and explained a
Such a great variety of things to buy. To find a place like this in Minnesota is absolutely amazing. Bring your family and need out for an hour or 2.
Good comics and toy selection, but they are very lacking when it comes to gaming supplies. Good comic store. Good vintage toy store. Lots of geeky ephemera. Not a great LGS.
The place is huge. Traveling from out of state. So much to see. They had a mini arcade. The old pac man game, tons of pop collectables, Star Wars.
Super big store with a ton of cool merch. The staff was so friendly. A lot of tables in the back for a structured game. They have different nights for different games. Update: they have amazing staff who are so friendly and helpful. Also a huge area in the back of the store for the various game nights. They have a great group of players who come on a regular basis. Very open and welcoming to new players who come. You can come play for free unless they have a special event that you can participate in
Great for comics, just not as big of selections for what I was personally looking for; they did have some though (Pok?mon cards, sports collectables, etc.) Awesome D&D dice, & a lot of space to move around. I wish the owners the best of luck, & to keep growing.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Loads of cool stuff from my younger days. Come check this place out. I got a 1977 C3PO in awesome condition!
Very clean and organized store unlike many I've visited. Great place to check out some stuff.
Great selection of comics. Their staff is always friendly.
Had a wide variety of pop culture items. However I wish they had a bigger tcg selection
This is a Way cool place! Both old school toys and the new latest and greatest. A collector's paradise.
Awesome toy and memorabilia shop! Reasonable prices, tons of offbeat and interesting product. Clean, spacious. Go visit! You will definitely make or find some memories!
They have three locations, and I have now been to all three. This one I would have to rate as the less desirable of the three. This is still a good toy store. And they are very nice with several products, but the other two are just more desirable, as they have more product. The employees interact and have conversations with the customers, unlike this one.
If you collect toys this is it. One of the nicest cleanest well stocked stores I have ever been to. The guy working there was amazing and helpful. A++ on his attitude. So nice. I bought Godzilla, GIJoe, and Transformers. The prices were so cheap! Boxes in perfect condition too. I usually can only get this stuff on eBay. It was extra cool to walk around and see all this stuff in person. I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this store. A++ seller.
Great spot with a wide variety of merch. Vintage and new, statues and action figures, He-Man and GI Joe to NECA, Marvel and DC stuff. Picked up a stuffed Godzilla 98 tonight. Tempted by the Ernest doll, too. Worth a regular visit.
Amazing place for tabletop games !! Nice fun and nice and quiet if ur doing dnd and need to hear your dm !!
Awesome store and amazing staff. Even with the pandemic going on they continue to work through it with online sales and strict guidelines when entering the stores. Their facebook sales have been a lifesaver during the pandemic and will go above and beyond for their I've known them for a few years now and their store is a must stop in the city of rochester. They are my go to online place for comics and toys.
NerdinOut is by far my favorite comic book store! They have a really nice selection of comic books, action figures, TCG cards, and everything in between! I also find it to be very organized and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! Overall, 10 out of 10 would recommend!!
This is a great place to find rare, old games, toys and comics. I love the computers and arcade games in the back. Plenty of space to meet friends and play together. This is definitely something the city of Rochester needs.
4* only because the comic section was quite limited and quite small, but the store was huge and had a great selection of toys and memorabilia. Great mix of new and old stuff, and we found some stuff we'd been looking for for a while!
Great place to find comics or other interesting collectibles.
Guy working here made my daughter feel uncomfortable. Won't be back
Awesome store! There is a lot to look at here, so give yourself time to peruse. Good collection of modern and classic toys and games, presented with care and competence. Huge selection of Funko Pop figures, if that's your thing. Nice gaming area in the back. Good location with lots of parking in the lots just outside. When we went (April 2023) they had some great mystery boxes, so check those out!
Awesome, sports cards are great prices. Great staff. Clean. Nostalgia. I even got pogs to teach my kids what they are! A+ stop in. It's awesome
Lots of awesome toys and games. Friendly staff.
It's a cool place. It's a nerd store in the idea of collectables in the box still sort of nerd store. It has comics in addition, as well as TCG support. The building is quite large but the store feels fairly empty to a degree. It's a cool place and worth a look, the employees are nice. Just more of a niche nerd store versus some more generalized games stores.
We had a nice 1 mile walk from our hotel room. NerdinOut was a nice clean store. I really enjoyed the figurines. They have a good variety of novelty toys. My husband is a true fan and had great appreciation for all the old school toys they had there.
Small selection of Pok?mon cards. Staff was friendly but not engaging
We enjoy outings as a family to NerdinOut on weekends. Sometimes that have an interesting bazaar with used collectibles for sale. My sons mostly want to get new Pokemon cards, while I like the old school video game consoles. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the store quite clean. Parking can be a bit tricky, but only because their medium sized parking lot is often full with over customers.
cool place for nerds and geeks to go find some amazing comics action figures and more have a couple of arcade games and pinball machines too will be back again
Love the staff that I've interacted with. Great store, great prices and very cool place to be. Will be back soon! Update: still love checking out Nerdin Out! We always find the coolest things that make our nerdy meters fluctuate ?? thank you to the owners and staff that make this the coolest place for nerds in Roch ??
We go here a few times a month to check out what's new. The staff is always really nice and helpful. I have bought about 10 action figures here for my son, overall fair pricing. My fianc? isn't even into this kind of stuff and she enjoys going and looking through things like the hot wheels for my son. They have a lot of different things that are fun to check out, worth the stop.
They had absolutely everything. Too bad they're not closer, we'd go there to game. They have tables in the back, and arcade section, comics and a diverse figurine section.
Amazing selection of cards and games. They have DND supplies, MTG cards, Pokemon cards, and more collectable memorabilia. The staff are really kind and know a lot about collecting. This store also has frequent competitions on the pokemon video games and multiple card games.
This place is great! They sure have a lot of toys and comics! Everything's really pricey, but I suppose that's collectibles for ya. They have plenty of toys for your little kids to play with while you shop for toys for yourself!
This place is awesome! It has something for everyone. Old comics, new comics, action figures, video games, arcade games, and more! A nerd's paradise! People who work here are friendly and take time to converse. They offer trades too which guarantees there's always new stuff coming in. One of my favorite stores in Rochester! Highly recommend.
Very fun place to browse. Always find myself buying a mix of figures and books everytime im there. They always have really cool collectibles and statues for sale as well. Always fun to see the different fans there too, whether it's gaming fans, superhero fans or wrestling fans, it's always fun to see people enjoying themselves. They also have a few comics from local artists and writers, which is really good exposure for those artists.
This place a lot of space to move around and a lot to look at. Great variety. They had a few activities for the kids like a small trampoline and some toys to play with. This was very appreciated with my 4 year old that likes to touch everything. It allowed us to shop a little more at ease to focus on what we were looking at. They were also very friendly and knowledgeable.
I love going to NerdinOut. Their comic collection is the best in my area, the staff is always friendly and greet you every time you walk in. They also have arcade machines and pinball which is just fun to play. Wish they had a bit larger D&D collection but overall still 5 stars!
Pretty cool place to find old games, comics, or figurines and stuff like that, unfortunately it seems that they are running out of games, they used to have whole shelves full, but now they're all crammed into a small corner, hardly any variety. The employees were pretty friendly too, all in all, pretty cool place
Always a fun place to go! Sam and Brad are always so nice to see. They have great products and a greater atmosphere! There is always something new when I come in and they have a little bit of everything for everyone that goes here! Definitely check out the annual convention too!
A nerds paradise. The atmosphere, rotation of product, this place has been my go to place in Rochester every week. Brad and his team are helpful and friendly and truly care about their customer service. Keep up the great work!
Hosting Smash Bros Ultimate tournaments here every Saturday! (@RochRumble on Twitter for updates.) The manager and store owner are very nice, shout-outs to them for letting us use their establishment as a venue! ????
All I have to say is WOW, what a selection, 12 year old me would have COMBUSTED, and such kind and knowledgeable staff too especially Hailey. She helped me find a game that if im being honest forgot even existed yet now im sitting at home eating dominos and holding my Star Wars action figure like im 14 all over again. Hope to come back soon and maybe pick up some comics for my kids. May the force be with you!
Great selection of comics for good prices. I didn't look too much at the toys or video games, but there seem to be a wide selection of both. Owner is friendly and helpful. Store is set up well. Only complaint is that I have trouble bending down, so boxes of comics on floor are hard to reach.
This store is awesome, it really has something for everyone. It will give you that nostalgic feel when you walk in and see the retro video games they have in-stock or the vintage Transformers action figures. They also have merchandise for the newer collectors who might just want to get their newest Funko Pop! I recommend visiting NerdinOut!
Pretty good store! Had a lot of different merchandise from all sorts of themes, and a Section for Star Wars Black series which I was looking for. I picked up a Wrecker figure to add to my Bad Batch collection, and all things considered I got a good price. They also had an expansive comic book section, which I skimmed through but I'm no comic book collector. It's a big store, and they had a small Lego section which I looked at, and got a couple custom Bad Batch Minifigures. They weren't official Lego brand,
First visit since the move.. so much space! Almost intimidating, but I can see it helping when there's a CCG tournament and people shopping. The staff is as pleasant to work with as the old location, and the parking's decent. The inventory has expanded to match the space, including some Babylon 5 figures and other happy memories.
I LOVE to stop into NerdinOut whenever I have a free hour to burn. Lots of things to look at and a fantastic comic collection to thumb through. Within walking distance from St. Mary's Hospital, which makes it a great activity for those visiting the clinic!
Really great selection of all eras of games, systems, comics, collectibles, memorabilia, and nerdy decor and toys. It was nice to see a store that actually sells real collectibles and not just new mass manufactured toys that they call collectibles. The service was great, answering any questions we had, and the pricing was in a very good range. Overall a great store.
Great people, great place. Awkward to get to from the highway.
NerdinOut is one of my favorite places to go when I'm in Rochester. They have a great selection of so many different things and the staff are always fantastic. Their prices are more than fair and items are always stocked. I've never been disappointed when I visit!
This was an experience. If you are a collector, they ask a lot, but you have to experience this with their garage sale on their other property. I came there for a friend to sell $59 of Funko pops, but I bought a $250 instead. This is a nerd swap market!!!!! No regrets!!!!?!!
Many items are incredibly overpriced - though in at least one instance they seemed willing to price match (monopoly listed $15-20 more than Target for exact SKU / not a collectable out of print, etc) Beautiful new location, lots of space and inventory. Staff always seem mostly happy / friendly.
Great selection of all your favorite nostalgia items, comic books, and trading cards. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly and we always love coming in. Prices are fair and reasonable for collectibles and they have great events!
Awesome store and awesome staff. Over the last 6 months or so they have really stocked up good on inventory. Tons of comics tons of toys/collectables. Video game selection is ok, I do wish they'd do a little more with that but they are new still. Magic cards selection is good, Pokemon card selection is getting better. Can't recommend it enough.
Great selection, nice layout, and staff was courteous and extremely helpful! Made for a pleasant shopping experience searching for a birthday gift for my youngest teenage nephew. Kudos to NerdinOut - I'll be back for gifts in the future!
I had come into the store to browse the video games, and upon entering the store there was a very irate customer berating the employee over the store not wanting to buy his defective items. The customer eventually stormed out yelling, and continued to make a scene up until slamming the door. I continued to browse the video games, and found myself picking up a handful of titles I had never gotten the chance to play before. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the games had actually been reasonably priced,
Read about it in a local magazine so went in looking for puzzles but they only had nine. For that I have it three stars. If I was there for funko pop or gaming stuff I probably would have rated it higher
Really friendly staff and a great collection of nerd merch and comics. I usually go in there for Pinball. They have Medieval Madness and Deadpool in there for a dollar a play.
Great place, huge selection. Good priced stuff nice staff. I will be back the next time I am down this way for sure. Best comic book store. And many other things
I am really glad found this store. Even though they are in Minnesota and I am in California, the shopping experience with them is awesome. Over the last month I have purchased multiple TMNT sets: party tube, killer bee, pogo copter and a few others. They make their store accessible to anyone with weekly live streams, which makes me feel I am shopping in store. They ship all purchases safe and packed to protect your purchase. Great store and great staff. If you live in MN, go check them out, if not no
Visited this store from out of state. The staff was very nice, the store is clean, and well organized. They also went above and beyond at helping us with dinner plans and recommend an amazing local restaurant.
First time in the newer location in Rochester. The new store looks great other than the selection of merchandise. There is less than half the selection and unfortunately the service has went downhill at least my service the other day. I went in with a few questions and most everything I asked the answers given were I can't answer that, if you want answers look it up on our website. Then asked price on preorder items that I was going to order and was told well it doesn't get released till this date. I asked
All kinds of nerds and geeks can find something to enjoy here. My girlfriend and I spent a few hours looking at MTG cards, and barely scratched the surface of their stock. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The facility is clean and well organized. There is ample space for both individuals to enjoy themselves, and groups of people to pull up to a table and play dungeons and dragons or Warhammer 40K. Would absolutely be one of the first places I recommend to anyone in the area looking for a comic boo
This is an amazing store with just about everything you could need & want. The workers/owners are always super friendly and helpful and it's one of the very few stores that don't charge outrageous prices due to the current market. Definitely recommend!
This place is fantastic! Staff are very knowledgable and they have an unreal amount of stuff. Some of the collectibles are highly expensive, but that's why they're called collectibles. If you're a nerd in any way, check this place out. There isn't much like it around. Ps - The store is like a WAY BETTER version of the Book Review
Sam was great. She was willing to help out and has a great personality. If you are looking for collectable toys or newer comic books, this is the place to go. I'd love it if they were to expand the TTRPG section. They do have a couple D&D books and older (2nd edition) modules, they also have quite a few Star Wars RPG books, there are also some magic cards. Overall my experience was great, I'm just more of a TTRPG player. Oh, and we found a Soundwave action figure our son has been looking for, which is what
Nice place whenever I'm in town have to go get my vintage books they have a great collection.
My grandson wanted his first grade completion celebration to include a trip to the store for Pok?mon cards, I refuse to go to the big box stores and found this gem of a store quite by accident. The manager was so friendly, answered all our questions, and showed us all she had to offer in Pok?mon goodies. Truly an amazing experience for this gramma and her 7 year old Pok?mon fan. Kudos to the store manager...we will be back!
staff was super cool and friendly, very good pricing on cards, they got yugioh, pokemon, and magic, and lots of different figures from DC to anime figures. lots of different games from console games and board games, had a nice spot for kids to sit and also got a place for tcg players to sit. there is also a spot in the corner of the store for injustice
This store has a vast selection of collectibles, comics, cards for all occasions, and so many creative ways to let customers interact with the store and it's products such as live sales on Facebook and Whatnot. The Funko Pop, Comics, and toys sale shows me the most in demand products I wouldn't have seen otherwise. NerdinOut also recognized that Rochester needs a Nerd Convention! October is going to be a BLAST!
I would give it 3.5 stars, as it's a store that's non too common in Rochester, it's just got a bit of an identity crisis on what it wants to be exactly. Nerdinout offers old action figures, a ton of old comic books that need a better organization system, playing cards for magic, Pok?mon, and others, and a smattering of video games in a back room. It's got reasons for the collector to go in and check things out, but the issue is that it doesn't really excel at any of these options. The video games section
This place has an impressive collection of toys, action figures, and other collectibles. Also there are video games and old systems which you can get for cheap. I snagged a copy of Dragon Age Inquisition for like, nine bucks. One thing to note is that is a LITTLE hidden away. Google Maps kept telling us we were there but we absolutely didnt see it. My advice to people trying to find this place is that its behind the video store; look for the black and orange sign with glasses on it.
Was interesting to visit. Collectors will enjoy wide variety. Visit frequently for new stock.
My girlfriend and I have been chomping at the bit to play some actual MGT and this place has the greatest set up for it. Plenty of open space and precautions for our covid world. The owner Jake even sat down and played with us. He was super great and patient with my girlfriend who was returning to magic and was slow at remembering how to play, and didn't get salty when he got out due to infect. 11/10 will go again. Great environment for new players and relaxed setting.
This was a small place packed with comics and figurines of every kind. However, some prices are negotiable and the the guy working the counter was super cool. If you are into comics and action figures and collectables this is a one stop shop. Great place to browse.
I really enjoyed the store. The gentleman was very helpful and pointed us in the specific direction that we were searching for. We left with a dinosaur game that my son will enjoy for christmas. I recommend going and checking this place out!
We were at Mayo . My husband loves comics and needed a break . He loved this place. He said they had DND and laser tag.
Action figures! Took me back to my childhood and had great service while I looked at the huge inventory of nostalgia. The absolute only negative is the difficult to access parking lot. Not their fault, but be ready to navigate without GoogleMaps help
Possibly the coolest store ever .unless you like money cause u won't be leaving with any lol. So many cool retro games and memorabilia. I recommend it highly . Can even book laser tag parties ..
Great place for bulk singles. Huge variety of cards to choose from, and lots of cool stuff in general. The staff is also very nice.
Masks are required to enter but one of the two staff working had their?s hanging from one ear not covering their mouth or nose. The final straw was when they started to cough without covering their mouth. I was going to make a purchase, but wanted to get out of there as soon as possible when I saw this. In response to Owner comments: I was merely providing my own personal experience at your business. I didn't walk into your store planning to write a negative review. In fact, I decided to visit in order to
The staff here were super friendly. The collections this store has is surprising bigger than I originally thought. I'll definitely go back and buy something that is WWE related.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
