Used to be one of my favorite places to go until today. They said 45% value on cards I wanted to sell. They fell in line just like everyone else and started nickel and diming our hobby that we all love. I sell my cards to stores because it's healthy for the community, and I'm ok with 50% value if it means the community is growing. Now I have to fall in like too to get rid of these cards I don't want, and sell them online like EVERYBODY else. What happened to our hobby? Nothing is safe anymore. We all have
Small store, but lots of stuff. The staff is always friendly and helpful, but also happy to leave you alone to browse. They have a few arcade games and some toys for kids, which is cool for bringing a kid along.
Cool stuff and friendly staff. Arcade games are fun . Lots of vintage star wars action figures. But I paid in cash and got short changed $4 . Had to go back and talk to the staff but everything worked out
Went to nerdin out a couple months ago and didn't have the best experience pertaining to the amount they wanted to give me however it was a mistake,,well i thought it was however i think they are scammers in my opinion..what i thought was a mistake the first time turns out to be a tactic they appear to use to lowball people .... Find out on your own but beware..know what u have and the value...I returned a couple months later with over a thousand dollars worth of merchandise to be insulted with a 200 doll
First timer. Very nice. Lots of room, current as well as back issues. $1 comic selection was lucrative, and if fill the bag, come out way ahead. $10/ a bag. Definitely go there regularly.!
It was really good ??, really liked the actions figures like SH Figuarts and Marvel legends.
Great Store! Great Employees! Even supports the local collecting community by hosting collector swap sales! Which one could argue would be in direct competition with the store, but instead they embrace it. Awesome Discount program too!
Amazing. Tons of great comics and a whole bin of vintage action figures. Really cool experience.
Absolutely beautiful location and has very reasonable prices on everything. The employees are very personable. I highly recommend any of their locations.
Ive been to this place a ton and ive really only had one bad experience where an pretty expensive comic i bought had its back covered basically ripped in half but other than that the staff is always great the prices on new issues is amazing and I love the atmosphere
Cool spot, great selection of comics, toys, card games, etc. Also, some video arcade classics!
This place is cool. Awesome toys and comics here. The staff is great also. Decent folks, treat their customers with fairness. I will keep coming here for both buying and selling goods.
This place reminded me of Shinders, which was an awesome place to go for figures etc when I was a kid.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Have a lot of cool items to look at and purchase
This is an awesome store with lots to look at. They have a good assortment of figurines and collectibles. It's well organized and in a convenient location. Employees are always welcoming, personable, and kind. We always find a treasure when we go, and we especially love their mystery boxes!
Great store, loads of niches, good to Great prices. Wish I could visit more often.
Lovely store for collectibles, collectors and kids at heart. Picked up a Star Wars Artillery Trooper by Hot Toys; new, in the box. Various other collectibles include figures, funkos, comics, and life size statues.
Excellent experience. I brought in my 7 yr old and some old toys to sell. Staff was very helpful and polite. The store was very well organized and kid friendly. Good trade in values and fair prices. Really great selection of action figures.
Nice clean friendly service knowledgeable staff good selection very pleasant experience
I continue to find myself popping up in this store. I love how often they remerch the sales floor giving a new viewing experience everytime I come in.
Great selection of all types of comics and books. Great staff, great selection of all kind of action figures. Been there 3 times in just 2 weeks. Got to see this place.
Great selection of cards and memorabilia. Friendly staff. Good prices.
One of my favorite stores! I love supporting them because they are local and we need more stores like it. There is always something for me to look at on the shelf, and the staff is super nice. Always look forward to the swaps, and love stopping in to add to my Pop, comics, and game collections.
This is my new new favorite geeky shop around! Kind people that work there, such fun things to look through!!! I always find new things everytime I go! Absolutely LOVE this place
Fun store, lots of nerdy things and a really cool statue. I do wish they had a larger selection of Pokemon cards though.
I love thos place anytime I have a chance I go to either location when I'm in either igh or Rochester, the pic is something I want so if you want go and buy it for me
Owner is really rude went to sell him funko pops for store credit at his event. Drove an hour down there for the pop swap. And before even looking at what I had he just dismissed me and said he would pass cause there hard to sell. Which is funny cause he didn't even look at a single pop in my box. Not sure how you figure that out without looking. First and last time in this store much better prices and selection elsewhere.
Great store and with special signing by Domic Pace The Gekko from the Star Wars show the Mandalorian.
Amazing selection with much better than expected prices. I am visiting family and saw that this store was in the area, so I paid it a visit. They have new and traded in toys, comics, video games, collectibles and more. It's also a family friendly place with big, clean bathrooms. My dad played a pinball machine and my toddler played with age appropriate toys they had set up for kids. They also have a toddler table for coloring, and they'll give you paper and crayons if you ask. The staff is also very kind. O
Good times. Fun stuff. Great store for collectibles, games and comics!
Not honest at all. Tried 2x to get one over on my BF and I. SMH
Great deals and prices for new and vintage collectibles. You can also sell items for store credit. They also have Magic the Gathering cards in bulk to buy!
I have been to the Twin Cities three times for work and stopped at NerdinOut the last two trips. I really dig this store. There is a wide variety of toys and action figures. Everything is well displayed and easy to browse. Obvious efforts are made to keep the store clean and product is regularly turned over and moved around. One minor gripe is that the graphic novel selection is underwhelming, but not a deal-breaker. You should really stop in. When you do, mention that Boba Fettzer sent you. It won't get yo
This comic and trinkets store was well organized and the products were displayed in a way that made everything easy to see without it being overwhelming. They had many collectables and one of a kind items as well as many retro toys and figures too. The items were mostly reasonably priced and in good quality shape. ??
i brought two video game console last I brought xbox one s i work only a week it well out i cannot read any xbox one disc system keep shut down I brought back to get my money back they say they can only get me store credit. i brought ps2 system from them it can only play ps1 game not ps2 game it had issue reading ps2 disc. It wont load a ps2 game at all. they told me that they test there console before they buy is a lie do not buy any of there console here
Really nice comic and game store. The staff is dope, and answered a lot of questions about the cool stuff they have.
Huge selection great place. They did so much more since they first opened. I had my doubts, too. Big selection of games, comics, collectibles, posters, figures, everything!
Snagged a PS4 Slim outta here for $100!
A very Friendly Local Game Store, this place has tons of collectible toys from "nerdy" pop-culture throughout the years. It also has a great selection of comic books, Funko Pop vinyl figures, and bulk trading cards. There are some really awesome "life-sized" statues of young Anakin, Wonder Woman, and an IG-88 Droid from Star Wars. The staff are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. This place is very kid-friendly, with a TV in the back constantly running classic cartoons from various decades. It's de
Went in yesterday. Got a few pops. Seems pretty bare bones. Comics were kinda crowded. Seems like it should be better put together after being there for months now. Discount program is not worth it to my family as there really isn't much we would buy there. Had some pops really high priced at $17 when same pop is $8.98 on Amazon. Highly doubtful we will go back. Not impressed. Edit: I would hire a store organizer as it needs improvement and that info is a job in and of itself. Having done displays/la
Awesome place with a great selection of comics, cards, and toys. Brought some comics and star wars toys to sell, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. A+
coolest shop to see every child hood toy..great experience. thanks NERDINOUT!!
Must visit for any enthusiast of comics animation or lore. Wonderful people. Great deals
Good staff. Lot's of fun.
OMG, if you are a gamer or nerd who loves action figures, Funko Pop figures, other comic related or popular movie figures, or "toys," this is a great place to go. Very nice and helpful staff and decent prices too.
I was expecting more from this place, honestly. I went in there with about the same expectations I set for just about any gaming/comic shop I've gone into. However, I was disappointed. Walking into the store it is a pretty welcoming, nice and clean large open space. The issue is it seemed to be lacking some organization, I believe. All of the comics were just packed tightly in boxes with no labels to tell you what was in what box.. I had hopes of looking at the same items I always look at when in a comic sh
I visited this place today looking for POPs. The lady working is unfriendly; I took some pops in and they didn't want them and low balled me on some important ones . I have spent money here before but never again will I return. There are other places in the area much better.
Tons of cool Dungeons and Dragons stuff, I snagged up a couple Funko Pop things for my kid, they had a ton of different ones at this place it was hard to choose! Really interesting store with a lot of collectible things, Action Figures and Pokemon Cards I remember seeing. I think they also had a couple tables you could possibly use to play stuff, maybe they have even nights or something? Worth checking out if this stuff is your style.
Store in inver Grove is still new so it's not chock full of stuff but it is nicely organized and has a great gathering space for board gaming and more! Lots of different style collectibles (not a ton of comics though) and a great atmosphere. Best yet was Tony! The lovely man behind the counter. He is a wealth of knowledge on collecting and was so wonderful to chat with. Would go back just to chat with him!
Nice store. Friendly staff. Too far away from me to be a regular shopper. But if you live near by you should definitely check it out.
me and my dad were going to a&w but saw this place on our way and being nerds ourselves had to stop in. I am so glad we did, this place was like nerd heaven. it was super awesome and definitely worth checking out if you love vintage and new nerd stuff. 10/10 recommend
I had a question about the authenticity of some of my pokemon cards and they were very helpful! I called around to a couple of stores near me to help me out and they all said to check online, but at this store they told me to come in. Once I got their they were super nice and helpful. After he told me which of my cards were fake he was nice enough to give me a couple free toploaders for some of my more expensive cards! Super nice guy and wonderful customer service. Would 100% recommend this store!
If you haven't had a chance to visit their first location in Rochester, make a trip to their Inver Grove store. Cool inventory with something for all ages and collectors and non-collectors alike. Always great customer service and the owners are friendly and knowledgeable. I'll be back!
Enjoyed my time here . They had a decent amount of cards , and a lot of other stuff . Just wish there was more yu-gi-oh
Friendly staff cool place to just look through cards or Collectibles and/or just have fun. The individual common cards could be marked down a little cheaper but hey nowhere is perfect this place was cool you should definitely check it out
Cool place, good staff. I was hoping for more videogame items personally, however if you are into comic books this is almost definitely one of the best places you could go. Cool selection of various things and it's inventory continues to grow.
Nice place to get some magic cards and see the collection of cool comics and action figures they have.
I visited the one in Rochester years ago, and fell in love. The new store is just as amazing. The owners are sooo incredibly helpful, fair, and knowledgeable. It feels good to have a helping hand when it comes to the never ending hunt. I'll always recommend NerdinOut!!!
Really cool place to check out a variety of nerdy products! Board games, video games, comics, collectible figures, Pok?mon & Magic cards, and loads of Funko Pop vinyls. Large space with tables set up for games. Staff is always friendly and kind. They even have a little kid's area set up.
Interesting shop with a variety of card games, board games, action figures and more. Employees were friendly and the prices were fair. They also have several arcade machines so be sure to bring some quarters.
Came in to trade/sell some old video games,DVDs, and gaming system. Jake was pleasure to work with. He was educational with his knowledge and professional with what the store could offer. I look forward to any return trips, I'll buy my next games from here just because of the atmosphere.
This place has it all - a very friendly and helpful staff, and tons of cool toys, collectibles, comics, and tabletop gaming stuff. I make it a point to stop by here every few weeks to check out the new stuff they have in stock.
Definitely my new to go place to visit. Enjoy the merchandise and how clean the place maintains. Highly recommend checking this place at least once.
Stepped in for a bit to check it out while waiting on my table at Inver Grove Brewing, didn't buy anything but I will next time I'm in! Wonderful space and selection, as well as prices!
This place it great! I've been going more frequently lately to look at comic books. Kids love coming with to check out all the Pokemon cards and collectibles.
This store has a large number of Funko Pops, action figures, and other collectable figures, as well as collectable cards, a few books, and a larger gaming area. Their prices on figures & collectables seemed to be fair, however I do not generally shop for enough of these items to know if they were any better then their competition. The selection of comics is small, but does appear to be growing. Current comics are bagged and boarded for protection, however the bag and board does cost extra. While the ext
Really cool store! Wish I lived closer. Only thing that did not give it 5 stars would have been would have been an a larger RPG/ board game selection.
I'm older now but it was very open and clean. Gaming tables which were busy. So many different games. Characters to look at and buy. Place for kids to play with few activities, to keep busy.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent variety of products. Definitely will be back here. If you're a nerd or sci-fi geek go ahead and stop in, you'll be transported back to your childhood.
Looks like they are in the process of growing. Lots of figurines, but few games.
Nice and spacious store with things for many different areas of geekdom. Funko pops, old action figures, comic books, a few card games, board games, and old video games. They also have a couple pinball games and a DC arcade game.
Nice friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Enjoyed hunting for stuff for my collections!
Awesome place with friendly people! I'm a huge Star Trek fan and they brought some ship models to the Inver Grove location from another store for me to look at.... I bought them! Thank you!
Best place to play a game of pinball and shop for figures not sold at Target or other big box in the area. Staff is very much diehard for collecting and they give reasonable trade credit for things you might want to get rid of.
Nerdin? out is truly what you'll do when entering this place. They always have such a great variety of things to nerd out over. Games, toys, funko, vintage, cards, even some awesome retro and custom displays and statuettes to take a look at. Don't pass up this place if you're in the area
A great comic book and game store. They had a tool of cool books and vintage figures from many different fandoms. I will make sure to add this to my list of places to visit more regularly!
clean store, super kind and helpful staff, and an incredible selection!! will definitely be returning when i?m in the area!
My daughter went in one day looking for a certain comic book. The guys said he would keep an eye out The next time we were in there (probably 3 weeks later) he remembered her AND hd a comic held out for her! Amazing!
Pretty nice store. First time, and they have a bit of everything. Will ne there again soon.
This place not only had comics, also had a lot of action figures and a display of lego minifigures. Prices were very good too.
I've been visiting almost every weekend for months now and I gotta tell this is probably the best comics shop I've ever been to the staff are always nice the prices are wonderful and selection is awesome
Lots of old school comics and books, lots of cool funko pops and action figures, a few video games, consoles and accessories, a few posters, overall very cool, but the guy at the register just sat there the whole time never said hello or anything, just sat there??
Pretty cool spot for collectibles. I spent a good hour there with my son looking at pokemon cards. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. We'll be back!
Fun toy/comic stop. Friendly staff. The store has a little bit of everything.
Awsome store! Awsome staff! Super friendly! Excellent selection new and vintage! marvel legends, star wars, transformers, funkos! I stop in every week to check out the new stuff.
Super friendly staff. The store is nice, clean, and spacious and they have a good selection of different products, but the staff really stands out here.
A fabulous example of a collectibles store. Talked a bit to the owner, who was great. Pay attention to any events coming up, definitely a place to watch!
Not many stores like nerdinout in the twin cities anymore. Glad to see the place pop up. With everyone in nostalgic mode during these days(covid) its great to have this place around.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
