Had such a fun night here! Huge shoutout to the lovely staff at the bar?my friend accidentally ordered me a drink I really didn't like (oops), and I felt so bad asking if I could switch it. But the bartender was super generous and understanding, and kindly gave me a sweet tea instead! I was so grateful,it honestly made my day. The staff?s kindness really stood out. Also loved seeing all the cool vintage comics around the place. My friends and I had a great time, and we're definitely coming back to hang out

Great place. I haven't been to too many bars with this kind of set up. Inside are mostly pinball machines, arcades and comics. Outside is where most of the seating is although they have a decent sized bar inside and a few high tops. Food is great. People are great. Good times. Owner is down to Earth and an all around cool guy.

We love finding eclectic spots that offer food, drinks, and some fun games. Since we had a day planned to check out various spots around Atlanta, we decided to order a few things to sample and share. The pretzel was crispy on the outside and soft and perfect on the inside. The tots were plentiful but could have used a little extra seasoning. Fun nerdy atmosphere with comic books, pinball machines and a few other games like Pac-Man and NBA. Big drink menu, cocktails were okay but they have lots of beer including local stuff.

This place is SO fun. There are pinball machines and other arcade games to play. And sooooo many comic books available. Menu is a little limited if you are a bit of a picky eater. But they do have vegetarian options. The staff is nice and VERY attentive. Can't wait to come back and actually have dinner and not just a drink.

Went here for an easy dinner and beers while playing some games. Great pinball machines. Well maintained and great selection. They have a few other games like battle pac man and Tekken. Not a huge crowd so we were able to play a lot. Easy to pay as they take quarters and dollars and you can scan. Great draft beer selection. Bar or patio seating. Friendly service. The ambiance of this bar is certainly unique! This place is like the lovechild of a pinball arcade, comic book shop, and bar/eatery. The food and drinks were very satisfying and in my opinion, reasonably priced. The staff AND patrons were all super pleasant and friendly! I really enjoyed my visit here and would highly recommend coming in if my description piques your curiosity!

They have added more pinball machines, some games are free...more open room between tables and now you order at a counter (but your food is brought to you) and wait staff still checks on customers at the tables. Large selection of comic books...some collectibles and 2 for $1 with some freebies. The environment is good for families with kids..there are good kids meals. Fun place that is even better than the last time I brought a group there!

Love this place! First, it's extremely welcoming; the folks here make you feel like a regular and a friend, and they're always simultaneously both ready to help and up for a chat. And for what many may assume to be a run-of-the-mill pub with a food menu, their meals are delicious. While we only popped in to pick up a to-go order, the staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was very interesting (definitely in a good way), and when we were able to sit down a get to the food, it was exactly what we had wanted; they even accommodated a couple silly "special requests." We'll definitely have to carve out a few minutes to stop and sit a spell to more greatly appreciate the place . . . and play a few games!! (Hopefully that Pulp Fiction pinball will be up and running. ^_^)

We didn't stay to eat but it was a very versatile place! The assortment of pinball games was amazing and a great comic book shop too! My 2 teenage boys had a blast!

Tonight I decided to treat my husband to a fun night of gaming and so I found my Parent?s Basement. I thought it would be a lot of fun! Well we ordered chicken tenders and a burger and I am sad to say I was completely disappointed. The chicken fingers seemed to be breaded in some type of coating which I think may have been hush puppy. The medium ordered burger was overcooked and the bacon was burnt! Such a cool combo of a restaurant, comic book store, arcade, and bar, although it makes it very easy to burn through some money. Salads are solid. Some of the older arcade games are free; others need quarters. They stock local plus hard to find national beers. And they cover both graphic novels and single comic issues.

Took my best friend there for his birthday and we loved it. The burgers were great and the drinks were too. It was fun to play pinball machines and old-school video games. If you are a comic book lover you will love this place too.

Great spot. Clearly a lot of love put into the place. You think you know what to expect if you're looking for places with pinball, comics and food. This place surpasses reasonable expectations. The menu is close to what you expect from a bar, but the food isn't just crappy reheated frozen bar food. There's some care and attention going on in the kitchen. I got two beers and a burger. We were in town for a Sunday college graduation ceremony and needed to fill time between the ceremony and dinner plans. We enjoyed appetizers, drinks and playing games. Fun atmosphere.

This place was very cool and inside is where all the stuff like comics, decorations, and arcade games are. Arcade games were like a dollar (dollar bill or quarters are accepted) and then there are some cool game machines that are free to play. Pretty chill workers and prices are decent. Only thing i didn't really like was when you order you are requested to go up to this little table where you get your own water, forks, spoons, sauce, napkins, etc. that's not even a bad thing it's just not something I liked

I enjoyed this place! I had the roast beef sandwich and side of mash potatoes. The sandwich was delicious?? but the mashed potatoes were cold. First time going, it's a cool concept having a comic book shop, pinball, food and drinks all in one. (Wish the foo fighters game had been working!) Pinball is 1.00 a play which is kind of pricey, if you do 2.00 you get 3 plays. Some take quarters, some take dollars. They also have vegan food which is pretty great so I got the vegan gyro and it was pretty solid. Tots were crispy and nice! Beer selection has a lot of IPAs, but I got The Veil Luxorious luxury Vol 13 which was pretty good. Not a bad date night

Fun place to bring kids or just adults. Pretty good food (we mainly had appetizers) and beer selections. Got to sit next to the fire so that was great. Fun time with kids playing pinball. They have at least 10+ pinball machines and other arcade games. One of the machines ate a couple of quad but oh, well. Didn't check out their comics but there were a lot. Awesome!

This place was neat with a cool, retro atmosphere. The outdoor seating area was really cool with two fireplaces and a heater. All of the around 20 pinball machines are in working order and fun to play! Wish there were more old machines but I'm happy to see so many machines in one place. Good selection of local beer and a lot of seating.

Excellent barcade. Quite a few pinball machines to choose from. There are a handful of arcade cabinets too. About half of the space is a comic book store. Outdoor seating with a few food items to compliment the drinks. Had a great time!

This was the single greatest place I have ever been in my entire life. The food was incredible, I've never had grits like that in my life, let alone after spending a hundred dollars on new comics. I feel like I dreamed this entire experience. I love this place.

My Parent's Basement is a great place! The food and service is really good but the best part is the comic books and pinball machines! Perfect place to just grab a drink with some friends and enjoy the atmosphere! It's also very family friendly so there is some fun for everyone.

Very family friendly , parking can be tight depending on what time you come. The servers are friendly and the food comes in a timely manner. Not much of a wait , the arcades are definitely nostalgic ! Very fun chill environment. Pretty awesome that they have heaters outside if you'd like to dine in the patio.

I'm an out-of-town-er visiting the area and stumbled upon this establishment! Super cool! It was pretty busy for being 4pm, but I quickly understood why. They have a solid selection of merchandise to purchase, including comic books (obviously), D&D stuff, manga, and more. They also had arcade games and pinball. This place never disappoints with great food and excellent staff! It's a haven for comic book and pinball lovers and they have an amazing patio you can bring the dog to. I like pinball and I like craft beer. MPB scratches the itch for both very well. Great craft beer list and good selection of modern and vintage pinball machines which are always kept in good working order and, if there is an issue they are repaired quickly.

Comics, Beer, Food, and Pinball!! Wonderful experience at MPB! The meatloaf sandwich was delicious. The side salad was perfect with the balsamic vinaigrette. The juicy, hazy IPA was local and terrific! I accidentally dropped my beer onto the floor. I went to the bar and asked for towels and explained the situation. A bartender flew over there and cleaned it up quickly, and even offered me a replacement. I didn't deserve the beer, but I really appreciated it! Great times at MPB!

Had a great time checking out this shop for the first time after meaning to get there for years. Not a huge variety compared to some shops, but much better indie comic selection. And you cant get a beer while you read at the other places so.

Tried the Wyder's cider which had a raspberry flavor to it. Really nice. Great staff and a lot of pinball machines to choose from. They have a patio to sit and eat though we sat at the bar.

Funky comic book store, restaurant, bar, arcade and hangout. Wish they had more variety and selections in their food menu and wish they offered a soup. Our book club meets there monthly and so do a lot of other board game clubs and book clubs.

An establishment created by people who love food and comic books, and really appeals to the dork in all of us. Pinball machines and beer make this the perfect place to bring kids to play while parents can sit and socialize. Definitely worth the trip if you have never been!

The experience was laid back. I love the old school music! The arcade and comic magazines was classic. I'll definitely return with my boys and ket them have at it while I have a beer lol! The Philly cheesesteak lacked onions they were tiny. The cheese wiz was salty but it was decent. The bun was toasted and fresh. The fries were hot and fresh. The mac was a NO. We had a party of almost 20, and they were able to accommodate us and with great service. The food was just ok, I did enjoy the bacon and grits. We sat outside and it was wonderful. We have actually had several brunches here and will continue to come back.

Very friendly restaurant staff, safe dining with lots of outdoor, covered seating and many games offered inside. Some of the video games we free but none of the pinball games were so I didn't play anything. (Be nice if just one pinball was on freeplay.) Large collection of comic books and tons of decorations/figurines all over inside to look at while waiting for your food.

The beer was good and cold, the food was not... The kitchen was having a bad night :( but they took some off the bill to make up for it. Took 2 hours to get food And nobody got what they asked for. But on the upside we had fun with our friends. And the server was very nice and was trying very hard. I would go back for another try to see how it is on a great night.

The music was loud. The cheesestake sandwich was disappointing because it was salty and served on hot dog bun. I expected more for $13.00. The bread pudding was good.

Very cool place! Comics, a bar, arcade games, food (vegan options!) Service is really laid back & cool too. The guy at the counter made sure I could drink the beers I was interested in- checked ingredients to be sure I wasn't allergic. I didn't ask him too. He was just kind. I recommend.

I had the Rueben and it was really really good! Also the place is so chill. Walk around, check out the comics while drinking a beer and play the free arcade games. Can't be beat!!!

Went during the day around 3:30. The service was absolutely great. The lemon mic drop drink was awesome. You can sit inside or outside. There are free old school arcade games to play & tons of comic books you can purchase. Didn't get to try the food but will definitely go back.

A local jewel. The space is inviting and staff is friendly. A wide selection of pinball machines is great to see along with some solid arcade choices. Everything I've ever had here was delicious. Perfect for a casual date night with a fellow nerd or a night out with the homies.
