Very sad they are CLOSED DOWN ?? drove 35 minutes to find out it's no longer there the food was AMZING. Always everytime we came ? SAD and DISAPPOINTED ?? SHAME SHAME MADE THE entire family cry as we drove talking about the amazing ranch and the smores pizza looking forward to our dinner! MR GATTIS ???? ??
Clean open floor design very kind staff dining room and restroom very clean. Visually open prep area, buffet offered with great selection and fresh food. Has an enclosed area for events, several TV's as well as a small arcade area for children, fountain drinks and sweet tea available. Overall an impressive experience.
I had no idea that the Gatti's in Rockdale got a game room, but we're so glad they did! We just thought it was gonna be a pizza night, but it turned out to be a game night, too! All the staff was so helpful and the restaurant was the cleanest I've ever seen it.
Folks if your traveling near Rockdale Texas and you feel like eating Pizza then this is the place that will satisfy the whole family or a couple , when you enter Mr. Gatti's your welcome with a smile , this restaurant has a fantastic salad bar with all the fixings to make your taste buds do backflips, the pizza is fantastic too, not greasy like some of their competitors, the cheese breadsticks are so tasty and their desert pizzas are outstanding, the tables and floors in this restaurant are clean and no bug
The BEST pizza in town!! People at the front were very friendly, place is very clean. Highly recommend!
I have visited this Gattis pizza since I was a child! I love the pizza here, they have updated their game room which is nice.
Stopped here passing through town, and the whole vibe was so nostalgic for me as an 80?s baby. The main staff guy was super friendly and welcoming. It was 4pm so the buffet was empty and they made fresh pizza for us (fast). The seating area is vintage but the game room looked new and clean and super fun. (Unfortunately we did not have our kids with us). Clean bathrooms, too. Make sure to try the cinnamon pizza before you go! It's delicious.
Great food and great people. The buffet was awesome! Really enjoy it every time we go.
Ordered "Pan crust" while driving and they misheard me, thought I said "thin crust". Arrived after a 20 minute drive and corrected my order. Only had to wait 10 minutes for the two larges to be made, AND they offered me a drink while I waited. My phone reception was at fault and I apologized. Great service guys! Thanks so much!
Delicious food, always greeted with smiles, and such an amazing atmosphere. The salad bar is always so fresh. There is no pizza on the face of this earth that can compete. And don't count out the ranch dressing!! Our kids LOVE the new game room. Such a gem to have an establishment like this to enjoy a meal and create family memories at.
They didn't have gloves on when they was make the food which is nasty ?? food tasted old one person dropped the dough on the floor and almost was about to turn it into a pizza but then he heard us talking and throw it away worst place every
This place pizza taste like it was obviously frozen. Only thing good about this place was the salad but even then the dressing tasted like a generic ranch from a dollar store. Definitely won't be back.
They have really stepped up their game! Added games too it's definitely worth the trip.
I order on day I was driving and traffic was thick. The food was HOT and very tasteful. I grew up in small town a Gatti's was always the spot before football games and hanging inThe parking lot. Reminded me of HOME!! THANKS FOR THAT REMINDER AND THE EXPERIENCE
Took my daughter and a grandson to eat. We love the buffet. It's always been pretty decent. The addition of the new game room was icing on the top. Grandson loved it. Great job, Gatti's!
A great buffet. I hope this place never changes.
Small, but clean Gattis. Service was good, food was as fresh, small salad bar and small buffet, but it was enough. Has a small game room. Quiet location. One of the best restaurants in Rockdale.
A friend took me to have lunch. The pizza was hot and delicious. We had tea and it was very good. We have been there 3 times and will go back.
Usually really quiet. Should have way more food out then 5 or 6 pizzas to choose from. 2.5 stars.
We were visiting the area and my husband spotted Gatti?s on the way out, so of course we had to stop. Probably the cleanest Gatti?s we have been to. Very family friendly atmosphere and the small crew working were all friendly and attentive to the customers. Pizza was great and the salad buffet was nice, my husband was glad to see the diced ham that not all Gatti?s carry anymore.
The dining area was clean and well kept, and the buffet was replenished frequently with fresh salad and pizza. They have recently added a game room with games for all ages.
A childhood favorite, the Mr. Gattis pizza chain was always under rated. The pizza is different than your standard chains. It is delicious every time I stop at this location. The staff is attentive, the store is clean. It's a good place for yourself or the whole family. One of the few places I will stop at in this town
Very accommodating as well as friendly every time we go to Gatti's. Several teachers were in recently and their machines were down and they were working so hard to accommodate and help everyone. Not to mention, they have the best cinnamon sticks ever! Great service and great family atmosphere!
Tried to order the buffet but we were 10 minutes late. The bar was full of pizza and only 2 customers eating. They told us the pizza was for them. They left leaving lots of pizza on the bar. Instead of offering us some, knowing we tried to order it. They threw it away in front of us. Poor customer service.
Whatever my destination when traveling, my first step is to find out if there is a Mr. Gatti's there. I have known of the one in Rockdale for a long time, and have made a number of stops there over the years, the last several months ago. I don't want to get this wrong, so a representative of this establishment can reply to this, but this is the ONLY Gatti's location (of at least 12 I have dined at) that will not allow you to request a pizza of your choice for the buffet. This is important to me as a loyal
Haven't been to this Gatti's in years. They renovated the game room and the pizza was great.
Quiet little place off the highway in this small city. Not a new place and it does show it's age BUT the food is great! Being small means pizza is always hot, crust nice and crunchy, salad crisp and fresh, pasta warm and ready to eat. And not expensive! Three people for $25. Can't find many places like that nowadays. Thank you!!
Yall should be ashamed of yourselves. Learn what basic customer service is. Don't feel like it? Cool, don't be in the customer serving business. It's that simple. You guys replied with a generic response? Thanks, shows how much you care. Or wait...no. The owner and cashier(manager/ owners daughter) couldn't help but continue to tell us how much they didn't care about us or our party. With inflation rising, anyone would think you would be valuing your customers. Instead you "just don't care". Curious to see
Always good. For non-fancy, chain pizza, it always hits the spot.
Hot fresh pizza, customer service was great
Went in to eat on a Friday evening and had the buffet. Everything was good and they made a special pizza for me to take home to my son who is a picky eater and he loved his pizza also. Will definitely be returning.
There were four us and we got there about 20 minutes before closing. Told us they couldn't make any more pizzas. What-were they afraid we might eat them? The register person was quite rude to us. I got a salad and one piece of pizza. Only one glass of tea. They took all the food down and the tea and didn't even ask if we'd like more before they did. I have never been treated so rudely at a fast food joint-and that is what it is. You can be sure I won't visit their establishment again.
Food was great. I only wished they had a few more different pizzas to choose from on the buffett.
Only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because of the price and the slim variety of pizza and desserts
The pizza tastes fine, the service is decent, but when I picked up my order, nobody was wearing masks. Not even the people making the pizza. This is putting so many families at risk of catching COVID and I wish the employees or the manager would be more responsible, then I might?ve left a tip
I WAS a regular customer. I ordered the buffet, son ordered a $20 pizza to go. We had to leave once his pizza was ready unless he ordered the buffet to stay. Never again.
Love the salad bar. Probably the only salad bar in Rockdale. Pizza taste just like any Gattis pizza. Has a game room that's is new.
Staff was nice and friendly. Three establishment is clean and well maintained. The salad bar was well stocked and you can still make quite the salad!! Unfortunately the pizza still tastes like cardboard with sweet latkes and pizza toppings...
By far this was some of the worst service ever. I wouldn't have given 1 star had I not had to choose one to rate. This is the second visit. The first visit was bad as well. I usually give a 3 strikes you're out trial on restaurants. The second visit totally counted as second and third strikes easily! There was no food ready. Most of the salad buckets were depleted. A hand full of cheese sticks was all that was available. The spaghetti was mostly gone and what was here had been sitting a while. It was dried
Great fresh salad bar. Great buffet for pizza, lots of plates of different kinds. Good pepperoni...
Workers came out to the dining area set at a table when there were no pizza out and the pasta was cool . When we paid the cashier she didn't give us plates we had to reach across the counter and get plates cashier pretended not to Care. I don't think that we will go back and definitely won't recommend this Mr Gatti's.
Had not been in years but was glad to see it was basically the same. Buffet was simple yet priced well and the selections were what you'd expect at a pizza buffet. Would definitely go again the next time I'm in Rockdale.
Love that it has a drive through window, and they've never got my order wrong. Can't say anything bad really, just a solid place to get good pizza.
This is the strangest Gatti's Restaurant i have ever been to. Normally at Buffets i expect to pay then grab a plate from near pizza, pasta or salad, at this place they hand you one plate & a cup then creepily watch you. The lady that is the cashier was very strange. She just stood at the register and watched, and watched, and watched, and watched. If you want another plate to get more food grab a clear salad plate. I was uncomfortable in that place and was not welcoming! Creepy as hell!
I love this pizza place! I can always count on the service being friendly and inviting. As well as delicious all time favorites! Food area is ALWAYS CLEAN AND STOCKED! LOVE THE ROCKDALE SPIRIT HERE AS WELL! GO TIGERS!
Employees were to busy talking to take care of customers. Salad was brown and nasty. Pizza came out slowly on the buffet. No plates out napkins thin as cheap Kleenex Sa
Well, like all buffet pizza, this buffet pizza taste terrible. But it's saving Grace is takeout and it's famous ranch. With the ranch, it beats out Rockdale Pizza hut. Wouldn't recommend without their ranch.
Went to gattis last night at like 5:20. Horrible experience. .salad was brown, had to wait 10mins for any pizza, they put out one pizza at a time. AND THEY HAD NO CLEAN PLATES..WE HAD TO RE USE OUR SAME PLATES !!! Very disappointing.
Awesome pizza & Awesome Rockdale staff!!! Our breakfast bacon and mild sausage pizza is always hot and loaded with toppings and cheese. My family ? eatting here.
Kids prices are WAY too high!!
Love there pizza it's so much better since they have a new owner but I will never eat the buffet again I paid 30 bucks for me and my 2 kids
I love the buffet they have it yr round an if u want a special kind an not many eat it an u pd for buffet u get whole pizza. Nice atmosphere as well great people as well cheap dinner family a plus
Food was great for a pizza buffet the people are friendly but don't go out of their way overall great place for lunch
Got there at opening time (11 am) was the first customers. They had everything out and ready. They even asked us what kind of pizza we wouls like and put it out for us. Very nice place
We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was delicious! The cheese was the best part. The service was VERY friendly. The restaurant itself was extremely clean and appealing.
Good food and not to pricey. My only complaint is they need to stay on top of the pizza. They run out all the time and you have to wait to get more.
Great local place to eat, the layout is a little different then your normal Gattis Pizza but the Pizza is still amazing!!! P.s. the macaroni and cheese is 100/100 must try!!????????
Just drove 30 miles from our ranch to have buffet, internet and front door both advertise 9:00 pm closing door was locked and closed at 8:25 so we spent our 50 bucks at Texas Burger and they seemed happy for the business
Their buffet closed by the time we got there, but the food we ordered was fresh, employees were nice. And restaurant clean. Thank you!
It was ok, but when we walked in to the building it stunk, some tables that were dirty and empty when we got there never got cleared or wiped down, on the buffet line there really wasn't that much to choose from and the lettuce for salads was browning and something made my mother in law sick all say the next day.
Glad I stopped here passing through town. Good salad bar and pizza buffet. Friendly staff. Food hit the spot!
Pizza was great, salad was amazing, had all you could ask for on a salad! Restaurant was very clean and staff was welcoming!!
This location is our favorite! We have celebrated the end of many sports seasons, school accomplishments and birthdays here and always had awesome service and food!
Took me back to my childhood. Though I didn't see the deep dish on the menu. Kinda disappointed but the pizza was excellent.
Wonderful Food. A little high. Very Friendly service. I Strongly Recommend. Did I Mention the Pizza is A1 ?
We love this place. The workers are great! This place is kid friendly. We have had lots of birthday parties here.
Pizza was hot & fresh, but the cheese didn't taste like mozzarella. Not sure what they used, but will try something different next time.
Food was delicious, place was very clean and staff were super nice
My pizza crust was dry, lt tasted. like day old bread, this is the second time I have had a bad pizza at Mr. Gatti pizza in Rockdale never again
Food is always great. Employees are very friendly and always speak to you coming in and when you are leaving. Great place to eat.
Good pizza, not too great of a variety but they will make whatever you ask them to for the buffet.
Gatti's sampler is my favourite pizza anywhere. Green olives, mushrooms, canadian bacon and all the other toppings.
Everything is good the the food is good the place is clean and the people that works there are awesome and sweet thank y'all??????
If your looking for a cheap meal, that's about the only thing good about this place. Personally I think Pizza hut is much better.
Pretty good and good price i havent went to gattis in a long time and i gotta say it was worth the price for such a small town. 10/10 will visit again when passing through.
Super friendly and attentive staff. Pizza was ok and on par for a kid-centric buffet.
Prices way too high. For my family of 4 we spent almost $50 on the buffet and they only has 2 or 3 pizzas to choose from.
I asked for a pizza with light sauce and cheese and it came with extra of both... Didn't like my first experience with this Location
old food on the plates, pizza lately has been tasting like it hasn't been cooked all the way & sweet tea tasted really bitter, even my friends complained
Food was cold, salad wilted. Staff said they were busy with Togo orders and not concerned about the buffet.
Ordered through doordash. Order was canceled after almost 30 mins after confirmation. No reason was given.
Great place to eat and Colton at the Register is such a nice and polite young man! ?? Kudos to him ??
The sign in the restroom said employees must wash hands I waited 45 minutes and nobody came and washed my hands I'm disappointed.
Great pizza and service everytime, ask about the specials when you order.
Have always loved this place. Been going since I was a kid and always clean and well ran.
Salad bar was fresh and pizzas were fresh and hot , and well as DELICIOUS!
If your real hungry go there, Rockdale, Texas. It's all you want to eat. Good variety
Food is decent but not one of those craved type dishes. Prices are fair
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
