I've been in a retro gaming kind of mood lately and I'm happy I found this place. I wish it was closer to home so I can visit more often but I definitely see myself coming back. It's a little pricier than the other arcade I went to but I think it's worth it. This was the first time I went so it was just to check it out. I think I spent maybe like 2 hours on a Wednesday night. When we got there we were the only ones. When we left there were maybe 10-15 people. They have a great selection of games and pinba
Absolutely LOVED this place! It's always nice seeing retro arcade games and pinball machines I grew up with (the 90s) and even older. I also love how it takes place in an old historic bank and how you can still see some vaults in it. My friend and I came back for the second time, the same night, while killing time to watch a show at the Mayo. Would def come back when I'm back in NJ! I also don't own any video game consoles anymore, so this would be a good option for those in the same boat haha.
I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for something like this in the area. There is a nice mix of one player, two player, and three player games. It's $12 for the first 30 minutes and then slightly more depending on how much much longer you go. I think the all day unlimited passes around $33. It's a great system. You just have to press start on any of the arcade games so you don't have to actually get coins, tickets or anything like that which makes it so seamless. They have an area at the bac
Some of the best maintained pinball machines I think I've ever played. Really welcoming and friendly. Pay per hour is fairly priced and means you can try unfamiliar games without worrying about losing your quarters! We stopped by randomly while driving home - I found them on Pinball Map - and we will definitely keep this in mind for future road trips!
My sister and I went here and it was a blast! We had so much fun. Dave & Buster's got nothing on this place (gaming wise) Samantha is awesome and super chill. Great vibes all around!
My friend and I took the trip from Baltimore to visit the Game Vault and we weren't disappointed! All the games were in pristine shape. Immaculate playfields in the pinball machines and a very friendly environment. I got to speak with the owner Dave for awhile. Him and his staff were very friendly. He took the time to update his database for my high score on one of the games. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who enjoys retro gaming and anyone who enjoys pinball. I could only give 5 stars c
Really nice place for an 80s gaming pinball gaming. If you are 80s, you literally have to check out this place?. The Jurassic park, Metalllica, Ghost buster and Godzilla are unique pinball?. Everything there is really, really rare. Take a look on Battlefield, tron, moonwalker donkey kong?. You will really enjoy and appreciate. We have stated this place is not for younger kids? its too much retro!
10/10 recommend this place, such a gem. Fun energy and vibe with every inch packed with an old school video games. Tons of pinball machines, driving games, shooting games, and other classic arcade games. Great place for adults and kids alike. Shout out to Spencer for being so kind and explaining how it works so the whole family could enjoy. Will absolutely return.
It's a great place, and super cool but man there are a ton of pinball machines! I wanted to go with my girlfriend, and play a ton of those co-player arcade type games and they're just were not enough of those. The place is like 85% pinball, which is cool, I love pinball! But it just took me off guard
This arcade is fantastic. There is a great mix of vintage pinball and arcade games that are all in great shape. My kids and I always have a blast at the game vault and the pricing per hour is pretty fair. Definitely worth the trip if you are on the fence!
This is an amazing place to visit if you love class arcade games or, if you happen to like visiting old banks. This is something that I thought I'd never find myself writing, but here we are. This is definitely the most unique location for a classic arcade that I've ever seen, and it just works. The selection of games is about the best I've ever seen, it includes the classics but also a bunch of hidden gems. And, you can get your pinball fix here too! This is well worth a visit.
The best arcade Ive ever been to! My husband and I go to arcades at pretty much every city we visit and I have to say this one is the best yet. You wont find any ticket redemption machines here! This is an old school video GAME arcade. Tons of vintage machines including mortal combat, paper boy, off road, tron, simpsons, and more! They even have various video game consoles like ps1, 2 and 4, nintendo and n64 and every popular game for each! They also have tons of varieties of pinball like old 80s mach
Such a cool place to make a day trip of in Morristown! The largest selection of pinball, with arcade games, which I feel is usually the opposite. I really like the way they charge, which is by specific time increments so you never feel you've wasted money and didn't get to play out the time you bought. You can also reserve and rent it out for private events, which is really cool! And it's right in the heart of Morristown where there are plenty of other fun places to check out and great places to eat. Not en
Tons of pinball machines and vintage cabinet games, you could easily spend hours here by yourself, with friends or with your family! We had a blast playing here, their is a parking garage right across the street as well that was very cheap to park at. Highly recommend this place to get your game on
Great selection of Arcade and Pinball cabinets at a reasonable price, all in working order. A number of legacy consoles are also available with a wide selection of games. We always have a great time!
10 stars!! We had my dad?s 60th birthday at the Game Vault and it was truly the best experience. Samantha and David made sure everything leading up to the party went smoothly. Day of everything was perfect, the team was so helpful, and every one of our guests had such a blast - I honestly can't say enough positive things! Edit: I've also had the opportunity to collaborate B2B with the Game Vault and Sam and the team are truly so kind and helpful. A true pleasure doing business with them!
I had a great time at the game vault! They have a great selection of pinball machines and arcade games that are in great condition. They also have video game systems like NES, SNES, N64, and Gamecube. All the machines are set to free play and you pay by the total time you spent there. Prices were good and the staff is very friendly! Side note, I also thought it was really cool how this arcade is located in a century old bank! Definitely want to come back soon!
This place has most classic games you are looking to play. It's a little tight inside. But my wife and I had a blast. Very affordable also.
Great place for arcade love and fun... Only one little setback is them having the PS4/Nintendo Consoles as I feel it deters away from the arcade experience for first time kids seeing these masterpieces.. but none to less, an extremely welcoming staff and great time finding the hidden rooms and gems this spot has.. definitely a must go check out!!!! High recommended to go!!!
Great place to play some classic games. I went with my wife, sister and my sister's boyfriend. They have single player, 2 player and 4 player games. GameCube, NES, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo 64. Unlimited plays too! Just hit start. You pay for the amount of time you stay. I paid $20 for 2 hours.
This place is outstanding! There's classic games hidden in every corner and newer games as well; just an absolutely terrific selection overall. Staff is very friendly as well and the pricing is great!
So much fun! Very fair in pricing. So clean and the games are great from old wooden pinball to classic video games. There is something for everyone!!
A true walk down memory lane for any video game aficionado. From the memorabilia in the curio at the front to some of the more vintage machines there's a gem lurking around every corner. With a fantastic variety of machines from multiple decades there's something for everyone. A mix of video games and an entire wall of pinball machines are sure to appeal to anyone looking to get lost in the fun and games. The floor is a bit cramped and not laid out in the most efficient manner. In fact it gets a bit claus
It was clean, staff was friendly & kind. They do temp checks and hand sanitizer at the door to enter. Pricing is very reasonable and if your in the area I'd recommend it as a pitstop of things to do, but I wouldn't take another trip over an hour again just to visit the arcade. You definitely want to research what else is available to do or see in the area as well.
Best arcade I have ever been to. So clean, games were in IMMACULATE condition and not even one ?out of order? sign. The retro games and the old bank building with the vault just topped off the experience! HIGHLY recommend! Morristown was a random stop when traveling from Hershey, PA back to CT and we are lucky to have made the stop!
This place is the best for any adult reliving the mall arcade scene from the 80?s and 90?s. And my 5 year old loves the simplicity of the old school games. The staff is wonderful and the local high school workers are truly helpful. We hosted a bday party here and the upstairs party lounge is spacious. I really like this place for family fun. I wonder if it's byob for parties? (Could be a fun corporate event space)
Great nostalgic place with plenty of games to play from old games to new ones. They have a whole wall of pinball machines, the price is per hour per guest. Loved the place, my daughter wants to go every weekend
My son and I absolutely love coming here. The staff is so knowledgeable and always willing to go above and beyond. Rachel is the best and was so good to my son, teaching him some of the insight she learned over the years from playing Minecraft.
Super fun. Go relive the past and get your nostalgia on! Pretty much every game you would want. They have street fighter 2 champ edition, Mortal Kombat 2, a lot of vintage stuff I have never seen. Great time.
Great place! It's an awesome collection of pinball machines and video games from the 70's, 80's and 90's! Step in to this beautiful old bank from 100 years ago to experience a real arcade from 30 years ago. The owner is super friendly and all of the games are set to free play. You pay for however long you stay. It's simple, clean and innocent fun for the whole family!
Incredible range of mostly authentic late 70s and 80s video games. They have a lot of rare games. They also add new pinball games. The owner and staff are great. Not cheap at $15 per hour but well worth it!
A bunch of friends and I went here for some gaming and we all had a fantastic time! They offer a great selection of games; old school classics like Galaga and Pacman are on deck; Marvel vs Capcom and MKII are there for some good fighting times! You pay to play for either a half hour or 10 dollars per hour. You can't beat that. Awesome selection of pinball machines too. Only thing they need more of are racing games. Cruisin USA?! Outrun 2?! Located right on the Green, so you can grab some drinks and food
Had a very fun time there. Wish I lived closer. The great thing is that all the games there are in excellent operating condition. Classic arcade games brings back lots of memories of childhood.
Outstanding pinball place. I loved it. Machines were in great shape... Flippers were all strong. It is obvious they care for the machines. Great selection of classic and newer machines. Hats off to the owner and whoever maintains the machines!!
I took my kids here and they had a great time. I love that they use wrist bands rather than pumping coins into machines. They have a great selection of games, including some classics.
No denying this is the best arcade in the area. The machines all work, are pristine and clean. Excellent selection of pinballs which are always the higher end Premium editions and not the cheaper Pro editions you usually see on location. I can't praise this place enough. I've brought my kids and their friends here and all have loved the place.
Amazing collection. Wish I lived closer, I'd be here literally every day.
Excellent arcade experience with a vast array of machines. Price for visit is very good value for money.
What a fantastic place! So much fun. Great selection of games.
This place is pretty fun. Playing the old school games brings me back to when I first played them. The games are in such great condition too (haven't had to blow into any cartridges yet. Lol) Perfect spot for anyone who has 90s Nostalgia and who wants to just be kid for a little bit.
Really fun and open late Friday, perfect stop after some apps and beers!! We had a blast battling on the fighting, shooting and racing games!
This is an amazing arcade. When me and my girlfriend were long distance, we met here on multiple occasions and bonded over the joyous environment, limitless options, and the cheap prices. They have multiple consoles including PS4 and Xbox, popular games such as Paper-Boy and Street-Fighter, and oldies that even my parents don't know about. Do you want to replay some of your childhood favorites? Do you want to test some of the new-gen consoles and see what kinds of games you can play on them? Come to Morrist
Fun, fun, fun! Had my Dad's 70th birthday here. Nice party room. Great staff. Good party package.
Took my autistic daughter today great time host was great had fun
This is definitely kid friendly and would be perfect for a kids birthday party or parent & child bonding.. I had a nice time, if you like authentic style video gaming this is for you.
The game vault is awesome! It's reasonably priced, the staff are attentive and kind, & the variety of games is astounding! You'll definitely enjoy yourself!!!
The Game Vault is a great location for a fun filled activity. David & Leah are amazing. Highly recommend for all ages; perfect for events or private parties.
Just look at this picture... A wall of pinball machines, well taken care of and free to play. And a ton of other games as well. Well not completely free, there is a hourly or half hour rate that you will have to pay, but well worth every penny. I could have spent all day there but alas I had other things to do so I'll have to come back and play some more later.
Super cute place in the heart of town. Went there recently for a breast cancer event and had the time of my life. Bars and food are close by so no need to fret. Great place for a first date
Love this place! Makes you feel like a kid again! I tell everyone about this place! ??
Was a great experience, especially with friends. They have an incredible number of activities and scheduled events you can spectate. Definitely a place you can keep going to. Staff are always friendly and bathrooms are clean. Whether they're pinball, classic arcade, or random vintage games, they're so full of incredible games that you get more than enough for your money.
Awesome. This town is a fun trip, and the Game Vault is a gem. Stocked with many classic games, unlimited play (you pay by the hour). All machines working and in great condition. If only my childhood was like this. Go, have fun, walk the town and eat. It's a great day.
Such a cool venue! So many games to play for a great price! We will be back for sure!
You can honestly feel like a kid at any age. They have games for every generation
Great place to spend an hour or three! Time of classic cabinet have and pinball all on free play and in excellent condition. Try and crack the safe for a special prize ??
I had my second client appreciation event here and my clients love it. They look forward to the event. The owner's attention to detail is quite evident in everything he does. His machines all work which is rare for an arcade. The place is spotless. The pinball machines sparkle and the old games that we used to play when we were kids bring you back to your childhood. I would highly recommend the place for private events, team building events or even just a night out with friends before heading to one of the
We have a wonderful adventure every time we go. We tried out the pinball tourney that runs every Tuesday last night and it was filled with fantastic people and players, and a lot of fun. Next time hoping we do not have to bow out as early and can stay longer. Always looking forward to our next visit, and the staff is incredibly nice!
Amazing place and amazing staff. All the machines i played were in good working order. All the controls worked and the screens looked great. None of them were faded or burned in. The floor is crammed full of cabinets. They had classics that I only remembered when I saw them there! The fact that it's in a repurposed bank building is awesome. They put games in the safe deposit box room and even the vault! The price structure is great, the games are set to foreplay and you pay by the hour. My wife and I spen
If you love pinball and literally every kind of pinball this is the place. Take a step back in time with the original Nintendo and Mario Bros. Pac Man, street fighter, you name it! Also you pay by the hour. No tokens to deal with. It wasn't bad price. Worth every penny. Would highly recommend
Cool place. First time I've seen a Michael Jackson's Moonwalker cabinet in the wild in years
We had our son's 4th birthday party here and everyone had a great time! On top of it being super fun, the Owner and staff were very thoughtful, accomodating and helpful during the entire party. Highly recommend having parties here!!
Two words - Absolutely awesome. Took my kids here a month ago and joined in on the fun. We all loved it, so much so that my younger son wanted to have his birthday here. We celebrated today and EVERYONE (kids, parents, all) had a blast. The staff here are passionate about their guests loving the environment and having fun. They took great care of us and we all had a wonderful time. A big thank you to the Morristown Game Vault for providing such a wonderful place to enjoy!
Fun place with a lot of cool retro games. My older kids found them a bit more interesting than my younger kids (they just found the PlayStation). I played pinball. Prices very reasonable l.
Amazing arcade - great selection of vintage games. Manager Samantha is so great with all the kids who come in - and total rock star with making birthday parties memorable.
Arcade in an old bank building, so right there you've got a great atmosphere. They have a great selection of pinball machines and older games that you probably haven't seen in a long time. The prices are decent if you're looking for something to do for an hour or two. I usually point out the parking when I leave a review, and here it's the same. Make sure you know what options are available before going out. There are lots which are easier than on-street parking and you'll get to browse other stores.
Lots of machines and games. There are also some console setups. There's is more than a little something for everyone! The Pinball line up is solid with a good amount of machines, maybe 15 or so. All working and functioning. Setup with a 3 ball game. It's great atmosphere being in a bank. The lights are kept low with a couple projections playing. Great for gaming. Reminds me how arcades use to be with the lighting. Inside they have the fault open with the safety deposit boxes in site. Games are setup ev
Great deals, and probably the best arcade in NJ. They have so many different types of games available that you'll never get bored for sure. It's both great for adults and children. I'm personally a huge fan of pinball so it matters a lot that they have all the pinball machines I need. What really makes it worth it is the pricing they have is affordable and reasonable. It's much better than putting quarters/tokens in every time. Give this place a check out when you're in the area. You won't regret it!
Unlimited plays for an hour - it's great! Awesome selection of games and pinballs. Great venue and vibe! So glad this is here - brings me back to the 80s. They also have a party area.
This is such an incredibly wonderful business. Thank you to the business owner and all the *beyond lovely* employees in the place. One woman completely and totally fawned over my young son when we entered. It was absolutely endearing that she showed such unbridled joy and enthusiasm seeing him walk through the doors, especially because he lives for Game Vault and it is a huge treat for him, and a warm welcome makes such an impression on me and on any young child. The second woman working at the desk rounded
Formerly a bank, now an arcade with 100+ retro games. There's even a fully mechanical pinball game. Lots of games to pick from, hours of fun. Go there with a full stomach as there's no food or snacks to purchase, especially since it's easy to lose track of time and spend hours in there. There's a vending machine for water and soda. Bathrooms are very clean. Highly recommended for both adults and kids!
Game Vault is an awesome place to have a birthday party! Our son celebrated his birthday here with friends and they (and many parents) had a blast playing retro video games and pin ball. David and Samantha were lovely, they were friendly and easy to work with. I appreciated how they helped us bring items in before and after the party. They did a wonderful job making sure we had everything we needed in regard to plates, plastic cutlery, serving tongs etc. You can also bring your own additional snacks, s
We had my daughters surprise 13th birthday here yesterday and it was absolutely PERFECT! The arcade is filled with all the classics and having the ability to just play whichever game you want and for however long you want, made it that much better!! David (the owner) was awesome to work with. He made everything so easy to plan and helped to make her day extra special! All our guests said they haven't had that much fun in a long time and cannot wait to go back! Thank you David and staff for giving my daugh
This place is awesome! It's so fun and the prices are very reasonable. My kids love it and it's a great place for play dates on a rainy day, birthday parties or just some parent-kid bonding time. The vintage games are really cool. We like to go on the weekend mornings before it gets too crowded - shorter wait times for my kids' favorite games.
Awesome for the 50 somethings out there and your whole family too. But for me it was great memories of childhood. Centipede, space invaders, pacman, asteroids, etc... oh and plenty of pinball machines too. It's $10 for an hour of unlimited play. $25 I think for the day. You can't beat that! We stayed for an hour and definitely got our money's worth! I can easily see my self spending a few hours there and the time would go by fast. It was a great deal for a great night out. We had a great time and will g
If you like retro gaming or pinball it is a great place, excellent selection.
This place is unbelievably amazing. They have a great selection of both new and vintage pinball machines in excellent working condition. They have a HUGE selection of vintage games. The way it works is they give you a wristband when you come in and they charge you for the time you are there. I believe it's $10 per hour which is fair. All the games are set to free play and you can play as much as you want. I love it and highly recommend.
Great place! you get a wrist band and it will keep track of your time. All machines are working great. a lot of fun old school games. a ton of pinball machines and its a legit old bank they have all the machines in. you can even play a few games in the vault.
Great spot to play classic arcade games. The owner is fantastic and happy to talk to you about any of the games. It's like a working arcade museum, filled with some of the best games from the 80's and 90's as well as a whole wall dedicated to pinball machines! 1/22/23 UPDATE: Game Vault is still just as great as it was before. They've added more games and project fun movies on the walls.
This is a FANTASTIC place for classic arcade fans. The owner obviously cares about preserving these games, and it really shows. Lots of rare titles and almost every game was in great to mint condition from top to bottom. In a cool old bank building with preserved aesthetics as well. I drove two hours to get there, and will definitely be back soon. Well worth the drive, keep up the good work!
Really awesome place with a great selection of games, and being in a big old bank, has a really cool atmosphere. I love pinball but hate having to just keep dropping quarters/dollars, so the pay by the hour approach really makes the whole experience better, lets you enjoy the games more without having to keep counting your money. But to be honest, what really earned this place 5 stars from me was the staff. I went late on a Sunday and asked at the desk when I walked in where I might be able to find food aft
I am obsessed with this place. Anyone I've been there with had felt the same way. I love the atmosphere there, so retro and cool! They also host cosplaying events for anyone who is interested!
I really like this place a lot. They have a great selection of old school video games. I love playing old school Nintendo and I love playing nba jam definitely brings back memories of my childhood and makes me feel like a kid again. Plus I love playing all the pinball machines. There's this girl who works there I don't know her name but she's very nice.
Great place! Awesome place to bring kids and act like a kid again. They have all the best games to play with and great prices. Must visit!
Love this place! Has an amazing collection of classic arcade games and pinball. Very family friendly atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and they work hard to keep all of the games up and running so that none of them are down for long, which is something a lot of classic arcades fail at.
Great selection, beautiful building, fair prices and clean! Will be returning.
We hosted an adult birthday party here and it was great. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys pinball and retro games. Lucas was very helpful and everyone had a wonderful time.
This place is so much fun! We wound up maxing out the time between starting breaking for lunch and coming back. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Playing games by the hour is way better than pay per play and playing games my wife and I grew up with was great too. There's a lot to enjoy here from older to modern games. A place we'll definitely revisit in the future!
This place is a treasure, it has hard to find games you won't find anywhere else (and the only place in Jersey I can find classic Daytona anywhere!). The pricing is more than fair, you will get your money's worth if you love classics. I bussed 2 hours just to come here and wasn't disappointed. I hope this place stays open for years to come!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
