Moonwalker Arcade

Moonwalker Arcade

Reviews Summary

The arcade offers mixed experiences, with many praising its family-friendly atmosphere, affordable pricing, and helpful staff like Ashley. However, frequent complaints highlight broken or outdated machines, poor maintenance, and money-taking malfunctions. Some reviews mention unprofessional behavior by management, while others enjoy the fun, nostalgic games. Prizes are often criticized as underwhelming. Overall, it’s a hit-or-miss destination—great for casual fun but frustrating when games don’t work or service is lacking.

Customer Reviews

The only reason I come here is because my very young son likes to come play. But every time we come it gets worse. So many machines that are outdated, that don't work, that will take your money and then not let you play. And if I come back in a month, those are still not fixed and there are others that are broken. I guess the owners think that because they are the only entertainment place in the mall they don't need to invest anything in the business. It's a shame. Edit reply to owner: I have a small child

A fun place to play some games. Cheaper than chuckie cheese and locally owned. Highly recommend

I took my 10 year-old niece while it was raining out, we had a great time! Ashley was incredibly bubbly and helpful, providing us tips on what machines are the best and most fun! She didn't stop there - she kept checking in and cheering my niece on! We'll be back! The only thing I wish they had are better prizes for the tickets you earn.

I would like to confirm that I also saw the boss of this place verbally abusing one of the employees. He was quite loudly talking to some poor girl behind the counter using all kinds of nasty language that I had to shield my son from. This was a couple of months ago And I pray this place is under new management Edit: it does not matter when he was there or not. There's more than one person here for this event who overheard it

Looks like a great setup, unfortunately after traveling almost an hour the employee said they were closing in 10 minutes, it was 7:03 on a Friday! Please update your times if they are incorrect! We had to go somewhere else because they were closing early.

It was a fun time. You pay for a reloadable card and swipe it at the games to play. About 2/3 of the games were working and the place only had a few claw machines (thankfully). Kids had a good time, will likely be back.

Was there a few days ago played 7 arcade games 6 of them didn't provide winner tickets and one did but won more tickets than printed went to employee that person shrugged shoulders and said oh well. Unfortunately I have a prepaid game card with money left on it. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't be returning. A Refund is expected.

Went to the arcade today for the first time with my son and husband and we had so much fun supper friendly helpful and friendly staff (especially Ashley, she was absolutely amazing with my son and helping him with the games) we will definitely be back soon for another family fun day.

Amazing and definitely cheaper then Dave and buster and there employee Ashley is amazing because of how friendly and helpfully she was I will definitely be back to play more games. Had an amazing time with the family

As the previous review mentioned the games available I won't go into detail there. With the current selection, kids can't spend much time before getting bored. Several games here don't work at all, and what's even better than that is the disappointment of the games that look like they're going to work but just steal your money. This is common place for arcades of course, but there's no staff here. Only a coin machine and sign instructing you to call the vestal location with any problem. Thanks guys, big he

I have to give the employee Corry a compliment. I am a very anxious person and have trouble approaching people when something not working. he was so genuine and made me so comfortable asking for help that it very much appericated. I will aboustly be recommending this place and returning myself.

It's okay, definitely room for improvement with games and prizes for tickets but it's nice to have this as an option at the mall.

Didnt know which entrance to go in and happened to park at the wrong end of the mall, walked to opposite end to get to the arcade and the ATM is out of order, had to walk back to opposite end of mall for an ATM, then got back to arcade to find the token machine is out of order! No employees, it is a self serve place- i had 6 kids and $200 out of the ATM to burn on tokens and now im leaving mad with 6 pist children cause they cant play.

Amazing arcade. Family fun at a great price. The lady Ashley that works there is super nice and very attentive. She is a great worker, super nice and super friendly.

My chooses to play here for his reward at the end of most weeks . We play ninja turtles air hockey and the super hero game the most. Great place for family fun

tilts wayyy too easy on Alice Cooper.. new games are all $1 and doesn't appear to have 3 games for $2 bonus. decent selection but half a dozen machines are down atm.

I will never go to this place again. I saw the boss of this place verbally abusing and mistreating his female employee . He was using vulgar language and profanity around his customers when he was verbally abusing his employee. This is not a business I would ever wanna support again.

The games are good. However, some of the games werent working and the prizes were very small...stickers, candy, erasers.

Some of the games had broken features but other than that it was fun.

Great place to stop by with the family, $20 on a reloadable card goes a long way! Ashley was very attentive and helpful

My kids enjoy going here and we spend a good hour playing games and having fun!

Has alot of potential, but games are broken. Dated machines that will eat your money. I couldn't even tell of there was anyone working there. The whole back of the shop is empty which is odd.

Ashley is so good w the kids...explained everything..and had a positive attitude

No games worth playing. Good pinball but who pays for pinball?

Been here several times have a blast not many places like this left thanks for being there

Good selection of games, had a lot of fun!

Busy and exciting. Great experience and fun prizes!

Lots of cool games. Pricing seems affordable.

Only ding is tokens cannot be added back to card.

The games I wanted to play was taped so that no one was able to play.

Had a great day with the grandkids.

Checked out the multitude of games. Looked like fun.

Good working games. Clean environment

Great place for family fun!

Fun place to kill time

Underwhelming and depressing

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
