This was my first time visiting this monster. Golf place, and I can say that I actually enjoyed myself. It is located in Columbia,/, Jessup, Maryland. It's basically located in the back of a shopping mall center-right next to the enterprise rent a car place. There's a decent amount of parking even if it is shared parking with the other shops near it. When you first enter the building, you are greeted by darkness and black-light lighting. Once inside completely, you will see that there is a little arcade.

Monster Mini Golf is a great activity for all! It's completely dark inside with black lights, such a cool vibe. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. We have been here before, but this was our first time with a birthday party and it was a great experience! The employee played several games with the kids and the finished the day with golf and arcade games. They do limit the amount of ppl actually golfing, so there may be a wait to golf when you get there. But you can play in the arcade to pass the ti

Monster Mini Golf Columbia was a lot of fun! We loved the monster experience entirely way too much! Our children liked the laser tag and arcade as well. Our daughter won a rainbow sloth on her first try- which was a big high. We went on a Thursday and it was a favorable experience because it was not too crowded. They have a DJ booth so I can imagine throwing a birthday party at any age would be a good time. We were helped by the general manager who was really friendly and helpful (she made great recommend

This is a wonderful location for indoor entertainment. The props and special effects are quite appealing. Furthermore, the staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the restrooms are exceptionally clean.

We've been here 3 times in the last several months and we always have a fantastic time. Every single staff member is always SO nice and friendly. We had issues with an arcade game today and they immediately came over and fixed it and even added $5 to our card without us asking. It's a fun little place overall but the amazing people that work there is what sets them above the rest.

I went here about a year ago and had a very positive experience with my group of kiddos. The course was fun and well-maintained. The establishment was clean. But the best part was definitely the wonderfully helpful workers. I recall a taller young man with pierced ears and young woman with a septum piercing. The two of them were so accommodating and they were great with my group. They really made the afternoon outing so pleasant. I would definitely recommend this location.

Fun place to play mini golf inside. Don't have to worry about the rain or being too hot. Course is nothing special. The black light effect enhances the monster theme. With music and lots of kids, the place can be loud.

So much fun here! My group had a great time, the rules for minigolf were standard and the shots were a good mix of challenging and easier for every skill level. The decor made it a fun indoor experience. We will definitely return!

Was visiting from out of state (SW, Virginia) and was looking for something to do with the cooler rainy weather. Saw this place not to far from our hotel. When we went in it was like walking into a mini monster park but with mini golf. The decor was different than any other I've been to and have been bragging about it every since. They have a laser maze (it was closed due to maintenance). I only wish they had a place like this around Kingsport, Tennessee which has nothing like this around and would do fanta

A very different and unique place! I love the Halloween theme, and it was so nice to get out of the heat in summer and do mini golf indoors. We just stumbled upon this place doing a Google search, as my son wanted to go mini golfing on our vacation. We decided to try it out. Very glad we did! Came during a weekday, and in the afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The employees that were working were very friendly, and we decided to do the family deal with the arcade included. It looks like this place does birt

This place was so much fun, especially for such a low price. Our cashier Chelsea was super friendly and helpful. After losing to my husband she handed me a card for a free game! I really don't have any complaints. Will definitely come back for a nice short date before dinner! Also, the artwork is really awesome.

Kids had fun golfing and doing the arcade. Staff was helpful in choosing what option was best for purchase. Kids a bit scared of the noises but they are small so expected

Hidden gem in the Columbia/Jessup area! For $29 (a bit pricey but everything is nowadays), we bought two mini golf tickets and it took about 45 minutes. I'm sure if you had children or a larger group you'd have a longer experience. The staff were all very friendly and walked us through the rules/expectations. The 18-hole course is very simple/not difficult but the glow-in-the-dark aspect was actually really fun. The bright neon lights were enjoyable and the painted murals were nicely done. There's a small

I recently visited Monster Mini Golf and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience! This indoor mini golf and arcade is truly one of a kind. I would give it 5 stars without hesitation. The first thing that impressed me was the friendly and patient staff behind the counter. They took the time to explain the rules and how to play the games, which made the experience even better. They were also very helpful when it came to redeeming my tickets for prizes. The mini golf course itself was well-designed and

Awesome artwork display inside! Very unique theme. Great time frame as well, 18 holes took us about 30 mins to complete for two. Good little activity for the family or couples!

The place was good to play. My husband and I had an enjoyment of playing there.

Amazing family time and the artwork inside is outstanding! This place is set up for a kid friendly environment. After playing 18 holes or a simple but challenging course, we hit the arcade to win some prizes. The machines are set up to take payment using a pre loaded card you set up at the register. I will be coming back for sure. Thank you!??????

I love this place! Between the friendly staff and the cleanliness of courses, I'd totally recommend going here with friends and family! It's perfect for everyone, even little ones! They've got an arcade, and beverage machines as well. The artwork is astounding, and truely compliments the atmosphere of this place. Overall, I'd love to come back here soon, 5 stars!

We took our 6 year old for the first time ? he LOVED it. He's already stated he wants his birthday party held there.

We just held my kid?s party here and I cannot recommend it enough! Of all the places, bowling or trampoline parks, etc, Monster Mini Golf is the best organized and orchestrated. The staff is fantastic. Our Party Host Cassie was phenomenal! Cassie engaged all the kids with the games and fun prizes, kept everyone moving along, and felt like part of the family for our party slot. There are a lot of fun arcade games, lots of good prizes for ticket exchanges. All of the staff went above and beyond for us it felt

+ This is a difficult review only for age rating. We only came for the mini golf (we didn't use the other amenities). This establishment looks new (didn't confirm opening date). Currently offering buy-one-get-one free. The indoor space looks very clean looking for black lightning. The personnel were very pleasant. The course is well maintained and easy to follow. The overhead music was fun. - The ?monster? theme was too scary for my boys. First my oldest commented that he hoped that he didn't need to use th

Everyone was nice and helpful. Prices were solid and we had good fun. The only negatives were that it was pretty warm on the course and some props had sound effects that were loud and jarring. Otherwise, it was enjoyable and a good time

Right, so we were supposed to do a birthday at 6 Flags, but they had a power outage! Rather than wait in line for a few more hours, we shifted plans, and headed here, and the team there was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Helped us get everyone organized, fed, and playing games, doing the Laser Maze and playing mini golf. They did all of this while balancing two other parties, and rather than seem stressed, they made it all feel so welcoming and balanced. Absolutely incredible service, and the kids all had a blast! Nex

Monster Mini Golf is a family friendly fun indoor mini golf and arcade place. While I was there I saw a birthday party and they seem to be having a great time. The staff was friendly and helpful the prices were not awful. I only gave it four stars because the arcade games were a little lame. Otherwise we had a great time.

What a fun place! It was crowded which was great, the monster theme was excellently executed, the staff was attentive and kind. Absolutely we will be going back!

Great place to go mini golfing. The atmosphere is so fun.

Fun family time for all ages. Well maintained and creative mini golf course. The staff were friendly. We would definitely go again.

Great and affordable activity to do with the family. They play music and some of decorations/monsters make noises which adds some flair to the game. Took about an hour to do with 5 ppl. I'm happy it's indoors to get you out of the heat and the glow in the dark theme also made it stand out. Definitely would recommend as a date idea or family outing.

We had a corporate party and the staff was so nice and accomodating. We were welcomed and felt like they we genuinely happy to have us there. We will definitely return!

Writing this as we leave because we had such an amazing time. The staff here was beyond friendly and accommodating, I would like to highlight Natalie. Our 5 year old son is on the spectrum, she was so patient and encouraging him, I couldn't stop thanking her. The whole place was clean and prices were consistent with other places. It definitely helps that most of the claw games are play to win, so it was perfect for littles. 10/10 would recommend and thanks to Natalie again ??

Had my daughter?s birthday here. It was fantastic. The party rooms are decorated really cool, the hosts and employees were great and the music during mini putt was a blast

The artwork at this location is amazing! The staff was friendly and the place was very clean. We really enjoyed ourselves right before lunchtime, our party of 7 was able to take our time through the course.

Fun experience on my birthday with my family. Was able to go at our own pace without feeling rushed. No wait to get started. Parties were staggered and kept the volume down and things flowing. Decor was unique and fun. Holes were challenging and fun. Somewhat expensive compared to other places in the area but we wanted to be close to other things we were up to that day. Would return for special events only.

This place is dumpy, came for the mini golf but did not play because their course was so pathetic. Loud music. This is more of an arcade place, and the people were mostly children. The decorations are even more hedious then they appear online. Not worth going to! Go to a real mini golf course.

We had a spooktacular time at the mini golf course. ??

There is a reason you see a lot of 5 star reviews. It was well run with plenty of friendly motivated staff. Everything worked. Good temperature inside. The games were fun. My kid loves it. I will be back.

If you can't book a party online, do not bother calling the place and asking for their availability. They will tell you they have availability, go over exactly what times they are available, all of the party packages, but say they need to double check. Despite saying they will call you back, they will not, and then will act like they have never heard of you. Don't waste your time, they cost just as much as Urban Air and offer much less.

It's a little small inside, so definitely go early, we went right at noon opening. It was awesome for my youngest son, "really spooky monsters in here daddy!!", very cool decorations and several play to win prize machines made it a huge hit!

We attended a birthday party and had a great time. Lots of activities to do outside of mini golf, which is great for busy kids.

Mini golf was pretty good. The arcade games (at least the 1 we tried) say to hold the card for 2 seconds. It took all the credits. The employee said if you hold it it will keep applying games. The lazer maze didn't work right. 2 player game broken. Not all of the sensors registered a touch needed to move on. Just do mini golf if you go its good.

Unique option for indoor fun. Staff were kind and generous. They gave my family of four free passes for next time when a field trip came in at the same time we started our game.

We went on a weekday before 4pm.....we were the only ones there!!! We had a fantastic time. The music was versatile and pleasurable. They have Covid rules in place but they could have had more sanitizer available for use.

Post COVID-19 the social distancing sucks!! The miniature golf definitely needs to managed differently like 15 or many even 30 minutes intervals. We felt rushed throughout the 18 holes.

We had so much fun. It was very clean and organized. Its plenty to do to keep the kids busy and the parents busy as well. All of the staff was super helpful

Really fun mini-golf and arcade. Great for all ages.

Fun place! Great value for the price :) hours of fun and cool photo ops. Love all the colors. Go dressed in white for some extra fun!

We had my granddaughter 's birthday party at Monster Gulf Columbia MD today. It was the best party we have had, out of all the the other venues we've been to. Lots of stuff for the kids to do. The party room is already decorated, they supplied plates, cups, napkins, everything we needed. The host that we had, name was Reese, he was so good with the kids. He kept them busy and everything running smoothly. It was a great experience and my granddaughter and her friends loved it. We will go back there again. If

1st time there didn't really know where to go or how it worked but the staff was really friendly and helped out.. My family and I had a blast! Really fun with AWESOME artwork

Felt taken advantage of when we were there. We were told a 10 minute wait for starting golf so they upsell you a $10 arcade card for $10. But the games charge random prices like $1.10 etc. One can never use the full funds on the card. Instead of going for $20 for a fun game of golf we walked out dissatisfied for $40.

We had my son?s 8th birthday party here yesterday. I simply cannot think of one thing that would have made it better. The staff was super attentive. The itinerary was well planned out and fun. From our party leader to the manager to the young ladies at the counter, all staff super kid-friendly and very involved in our experience and making it perfect. And the attention to detail! Never a dull moment. Party games to start, then food, laser maze, cake, mini golf, dance party and then game cards for th

Great time with the family at an inexpensive price. Check it out when looking for some fun

Lots of fun!! Love the black light and neon

We love coming here with the whole family

Nice place for a mini golf course. Kids had fun. The arcade was pretty minor. Some good games, but half of them didn't really work well with the cards they provided. Great and warm staff to support. Nice, well air-conditioned experience that makes a good summer visit.

This place is awesome! The atmosphere indoors and the black light make for a great experience. Great course, too. Just challenging enough that it is interesting but easy enough for all skill levels. Great service, too. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Only thing i would warn about is that the decorations and animatrons might be too scary for younger kids.

Great art work, black lights, and indoor mini golf - what's not to like? This place is a lot of fun and a great place to take the kids. The course is challenging and fun, in addition to being well maintained. The staff are always friendly. When I was there, they came out and gave away small prizes to the kids. They also have private party rooms which look nice.

Was a fun cute golf course! Some of the holes are interesting and difficult some are easy :)

We had a fun time. We brought our grandkids (5&8) and they enjoyed it. The only thing I think could be improved is the Arcade. There were not many games to play. We bought the ticket for the laser maze but our grandson chickened out so not sure how good it is.

Was looking for something to kill a few hours indoors with a date and this was perfect! The course is small ( aimed at kids) but still very fun as an adult and very well decorated. We went during some slow hours so we had the course to ourselves and it was a blast, my fav is the modifier spin wheel around hole 15 for a bit of extra difficulty. Arcade is again, smallish but very modern and almost all the games pay tickets as well as using a card based system similar to Dave and busters so no cash/change n

The atmosphere was fun. The music was pretty good. Holes had some challenge.

Went here on a date, and honestly it was a bit underwhelming. Mini golfing had little obstacles other than siding and it barely tide in the theme. I do not plan on coming back here again however I would probably recommend it to someone with smaller kids.

Kids will love this place. Mine did. The mini golf section was short and sweet and it was a nice amount of arcade games. The glow in the dark and monster stuff is a nice touch too. Isn't scary but artistic in a way. I recommend it. Too bad it's so far from me, would love to host a party there for my son.

A really fun place to spend an evening. The monster themed mini golf is their selling point and it really helps. I would?ve found mini golf boring, but the fluorescent lights and monster theme really helped. Almost felt like i was a 10 year old kid again. I would say this is a place where both adults and kids would have a great time. If you're looking to take your kids for a fun evening, this place is highly recommended

We recently had our daughter's birthday here. The kids had a great time. It's a very fun and unique place, and the owner and staff are beyond kind and helpful.

I can not say enough good things about the general manager, Natalie. I was a part of a large booking coming in this weekend and Natalie went WAY above and beyond to accommodate and work with us. She is genuine and kind, and did everything she could to ensure the group I came in with was safe and had fun. She constantly communicated with us as a group giving updates on wait times and what to do, and was just incredibly helpful throughout the entire time we were there. Thank you, Natalie!

Nice family fun, but overly crowded when we went prolonging the game.

I'm torn on this review. My group (6 people) went to play mini golf with me for my birthday (10/18). It was the first time is ever played (36 yrs old).It started off wonderfully, but it ended with an attendant with an attitude. It definitely left a pall over the whole thing. We were checked in by a lovely lady who requested that, since we were a large group, we let smaller groups go ahead of us. No problem! It was a weekday, so it was pretty empty. We were having a blast. Multiple smaller groups came in be

Me and my wife had a fun time last week. Amazing experience. When I came In John introduced us to Monster Mini Golf and helped us out on party details. He gave us a tour of the room and had a lot of knowledge on the prices of the party packages and what it's in them. He also explained how pricing works on mini golf which was amazing. He even asked me if I was a veteran or military so he would give us a discount. Best experience ever and will be back to play more. I would recommend this place for all ages!

My son had his birthday party there on December 12, 2020. Both hosts were awesome and our whole experience was one of the best compared to other birthday venues. And we have been through about 9 venues in the past 10 years. We were not rushed at all and they made sure that everything went well and that I was not stressed out.

This place was so cool. Super fun and nice staff. Very cool lighting...

We had a wonderful time for my child's birthday party. Everything was so well organized, the staff were great, and the kids had a blast.

Its a unique take on MiniGolf. I like it and other horror lovers will probably like it as well. It is a bit expensive but I did it on a rainy day for something to do with my daughter. It served its purpose. The combo deal made me more okay with the price.

Super disorganized on a busy Saturday night. The golf course had a wait and the manager kept telling everyone different times. A birthday party was ?coming right out?. We were told 20 minutes. Birthday party still hadn't come out after 30 minutes and there must have been at least 30 people waiting to play golf. We went up and asked how much longer and the manager asked if we wanted a refund. Didn't give a time or explanation.

Stumbled upon this awesome place while taking some items to Goodwill and came back with some out-of-town visitors. We all loved it so much and had a lot of fun! Loved the glow-in-the-dark theme and the difficulty of each hole. Also really enjoyed the arcade games. Want to come back to try out the VR!

We drove an hour to get there but it was worth every minute. From the time we walked in the kids loved it. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Thankfully it wasn't overly crowded as we suspected it may be on a rainy Friday night, everyone including other patrons were very courteous of others. The music was great and we can't wait to return for another evening of fun. Thanks for a great night.

This was my first time and we had a good time. I went with friends (we are all in our late 20s/early 30s) and seemed to enjoy ourselves! Pricing is kinda expensive ($11 per person) but they have coupons and military, student discounts. Parking was a breeze once I knew where I was going but I spent about 5-7 minutes circling the strip mall trying to find out where the entrance was. It was a weeknight in October and not too crowded. There were maybe another four or five groups there with us. The young man wor

Had an absolute blast playing mini golf here! Great course super friendly and helpful employees. Just all around greatness

Its is a great indoor golf place with a nice arcade as well. I had a birthday party here, that was very over priced, I won't do a party there again. But its good for a round of golf. The art work inside is fun, if your into black lights and psychedelic art.

We love this little place. Everytime we go we have a great time. Takes about an hour to go through the 18 holes. They play some good 80's hors. The decor is fun with all the monsters, zombies and neon. We have come here with a 2 year old, 17 year old, 20 somethings, 40 somethings and 72 year old and we all loved it. Nice family friendly spot. Go to their site and purchase the discounted options to save on the outing.

Before going to monster mini about 10 years ago I had only been to outdoor mini golf courses... So an indoor air conditioned mini golf place with a monsters Halloween vibe all in black lights neon glow splendor? What could be better! They play great music, a lot of Prince and Michael Jackson. I've been about 7 times and will keep going back. The staff is cool and they have a small arcade as well.

An ok experience, not worth the driving from north of Baltimore. The only interaction with the staff was when paying and then when turning in the clubs, staff was pleasant, no complaints. An important note, they determine if a child is eligible for the children's rate based on height. Over 5 feet, you pay the adult price. If your kids are tall, be prepared to pay the higher amount regardless of their age. It was VERY hot in the building, very stuffy and no air movement (it was a warm, not hot day). Th

The customer service and party planners there were spot on excellent. They really focused with keeping the kids engaged throughout the entire party! They also served the food and cleaned up afterwards, leaving the parents more time to focus on the party and children itself. Will highly recommend and parent with kids looking for a place to have a party!

We had such an amazing time at Monster Mini Golf in Columbia! I had been so excited to go and they did not disappoint. The facility was clean and safe. There were multiple hand sanitation stations and clear signs to follow for health safety and social distancing. I was politely greeted by Gabby when we were ready to pay for our round of golf. I had a coupon that was giving her a bit of trouble finding it, but she trusted my email receipt and give me the deal I purchased. Tony stood by to offer clean c

Came here for my birthday. New to Maryland and it sound fun. It was kind of hard to find but We came around 930pm on a Saturday and there were a few ppl there but it was not too crowded. The Young girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful and I had a coupon that came in handy (buy 1round get 1free) which we actually used as free admission for my 10yr old niece. You don't have to know how to play golf here to have fun. My sister sucked but that made it ever better! ?? It was pretty clean to me but th

My kid (aged 6) had a blast here. The creepy elements of the decor are just non-threatening enough that he could tolerate them. It turned into an atmosphere where we didn't really care what our scores were. The only thing that was tough for me was the EXTREMELY LOUD music and sound effects. I'm an old, and I hate having my ears bombarded with that. Maybe if they did a sensory-friendly night, I'd like it better.

Was here for a team building event and had a blast! Monster mini golf offered a great package for our group of almost 40 people and the food was prepared by Maggiano's. I didn't know there would be black lights which was pretty cool. The D.J. played good music and there was non-stop action with the various games taking place. Definitely returning soon!

A great place for a kids birthday party. They take care of everything but the cake. Everyone had a blast. And all the staff was friendly and helpful.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?
