Such a fun concept. Came on a weekday at 1 pm and there were people in there just vibing. Staff was super nice.
During a recent family road trip through Ventura, a city I used to work in a decade ago, I was pleasantly surprised by all the changes, including the appearance of Moby's on Main, a new arcade downtown. It turned out to be a great spontaneous stop for us, especially for my 4-year-old. She absolutely loved stepping inside and taking in all the cool decorations and playing some of the games. While she enjoyed the games, her primary delight came from the delicious ice cream available ? a definite highlight fo
Happy to have this kind of joint in downtown Ventura?it was well needed in this neighborhood. Great place for a date or a family experience! All ages and all people are welcome here. Retro games and adult beverages with thrifty ice cream. Yassssss!
My family had a great time at Moby's yesterday on opening day! The Pinball machines and the arcade games are a blast!! The Harbor Mart sandwich was delish and Thrifty Ice is the best! Definitely our new hang out spot on Main St.!
Great Little Spot to run in and play some pinball , grab a beer or some ice cream play some Miss Pac-Man or Pac-Man. I wish the place was a little bigger more games and space!!
My son and I attended the soft opening. This is such an awesome spot on Main St. They have a great variety of games, light food (sandwiches, chips, etc), ice cream, and drinks. We can't wait to bring our family back! Happy to have Moby?s in Ventura.
Cute place, great for any age. Visited tonight for the first time. Several options for games, free older titles up to air hockey and basketball. Game prices don't break the bank and are cheaper than most other local arcades. None of the games are violent, so they're safe for all ages. Food and drink options are a great price for downtown. Snack options like grilled cheese, ice cream, and small nibbles. Alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks are available, generally local offerings. Non alcoholic drinks are part
Exactly what Ventura needed!! The lighting, music, and all the sounds of the arcade and people enjoying themselves make for a great vibe. Ice cream, food, and drinks were all affordable and tasty. They've got a variety of fun games to play if you bring the kids, and also seven high-end and well-maintained pinball machines for the pinheads! This will definitely be a new regular spot for me!
Cute spot for a date night. Pinball machines, air hockey, some old school table top games. Definitely a spot to stop in and check out
I love this place! As a pinball nerd, I can happily spend a whole day here playing with a beer or cider. All the staff are super nice and friendly. I'll be back for the tournaments!
I had a blast at Moby?s on main. There's something for everyone. It's a fun alternative to going to a normal bar. The pinheads (pinball players) are very knowledgeable and friendly if you strike up a conversation they're happy to give you insights into how to play the game.
Really great place. The staff is really friendly and welcoming. They have a nice mix of modern and well maintained vintage games with a growing variety of local beers and snacks.
Fun for all ages, family arcade with ice cream, beer and many other drink options. Modern pinball, retro pinball and video games, air hockey, 3D King King, Mario Bros, and more. Friendly helpful staff.
Great selection of games and pinball machines. All the employees are very friendly and make you feel welcome, a great stop for family in Ventura.
I went there on a Tuesday & had a great time! I believe the workers name was Soulin she was amazing and so kind highly recommend!
Great throwback theme and the Thrifty ice cream is still as great as I remembered it. My kids really enjoyed learning how to play Galaga.
Love love love it here! The owners Mitch and Mary are wonderful people who went above and beyond to make sure my daughter and I had an excellent time and we will absolutely being going back ASAP!
Horrible And claw machine doesn't even work and opens once it gets to the top never coming back and No refunds. I put in a twenty expecting to get ten back and I didn't get anything just stole my money.
I lost my ID a few weeks ago there and I would like to thank the people at mobys for mailing it. It's been rough without it and thank you again for sending it.
Great addition to downtown! Friendly staff, good ice cream and fun games!
Great spot! Arcade machines and Thrifty Ice Cream made me feel like a kid!
Dope spot with awesome vibes. Stoked for what's to come at Mobys!!!
Fun spot. Love the pins

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
