Can't believe I got a glimpse of the snow-capped peaks of Olympic National Park from here! ?? Even in early summer, the mountains are still blanketed in white ? absolutely breathtaking. This unexpected view definitely put Olympic on my must-visit list for next time! ????

This pier is home to the iconic Seattle Great Wheel and a charming indoor carousel, along with a gift shop, several restaurants, an ice cream stand, and a small arcade. It's a cozy spot to step out of the weather and warm up while enjoying the lively atmosphere. The ticket booth and waiting area for the Ferris wheel are located at the end of the pier. The views from the top are absolutely stunning, and the entire area is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing visit.

Had a chance to visit pier 57 miner?s landing. Loved the neon signs and the cleanliness of the area. Id highly recommend visiting here especially when the weather is nice. The ferries wheel looked very neat as well.

A well put together place that could be fun, but everything is way too overpriced it takes away from the enjoyment. All of the food has an extra surcharge on top of the actual cost and taxes, and the attractions are priced at least 50% higher than is realistic.

Pier 57 from the Salish harbor tour. Miners landing is an awesome place to visit with restaurants and family fun from the wheel to the carousel, it reminds me of simpler times and the carnivals of the 80?s and 90?s. Scents of popcorn and cotton candy fill the halls as you make your way through the building flanked by video games and restaurants.

The food was good. I got the shrimp tacos, which was the only gluten-free meal, really other than salad. The view from the deck was the best part of eating here. A lot of boats pass you by while you're eating. It was more of an experience than anything else. Service was good.

This pier is home to the Seattle Ferris wheel and indoor carousel, along with a gift shop, restaurants, ice cream, and small arcade. It's a nice little area to get out of the weather and warm up. The ferris wheel tickets and waiting area are at the end of the pier. The views are gorgeous, and the area is well maintained.

It was a beautiful day for a boat ride on the Salish Sea Tours and ended the day with an early dinner at the Fisherman's restaurant on the pier. My out of town guests were greatly impressed with the pier and of course Pike place market.

Definitely worth the stop. Doesn't cost anything to walk around but worth going on the big wheel especially if you aren't a local! Motorcycle friendly parking on the street if its late enough otherwise there's paid parking lots around.

Love this little area. Visit it everytime we come to town. Theres a couple of tourist shops inside and also a couple restaurant/bars, a couple of arcades and a classic carousel. There is also a GREAT ice cream shop with handmade ice cream! Pirates plunder is seriously lacking any pirates plunder. HAHA!!! Around back in the pier is the huge Ferris wheel ?The Seattle Wheel? around $25-30 an adult.

Nice spot with some good views of the city that aren't as overpriced as the Space Needle. Worth it to rest and enjoy the views!

Good fried food, the true attraction is this handsome gentleman. Some excellent things to see at the pier in general, we had a lot of fun walking here after the Aquarium!

Great view, great food, Harrison gave top-notch service. If you want service with personality ask for him to be your waiter.

During our visit to Seattle we stopped in when we got hungry for a little snack. The clam chowder and sourdough combo is fantastic.

The kids were super excited to come and spend their hard-saved quarters. I was disappointed to find out one of the little toy dispensing machines was broken, only after my 5 year old had given over at least one quarter to it. After reviewing all the selections, he next chose a candy dispenser. He inserted his quarter, turned the dial, and nothing came out. So this was at least two machines broken, in addition to several I saw that were empty. Disappointed on his behalf, I asked an employee for help. She sh

Must see if visiting Seattle. There has been a lot of renovation, and I can see that there's still room for improvement. It's a nice walk but could get really hot on a summer day. Lots of interesting shops, gateway to nice boat rides, I also like buying tourist souvenir here as I find them cheaper. Also a few good restaurants to choose from. It's a close walk from the farmer's market, you just need to find the new elevator (we had a stroller) that's located in the parking lot. There's also some entertainmen

I come down here a few times a year. My son loves to ride the carousel. My son is disabled and it takes him usually 30 seconds more than everyone else to get on and off his horse. The staff working the carousel are always so rude to him. Lots of attitude and seem to just hate being there. All that I can deal with but today they started the ride before my son was able to get on his horse. When they saw he was just standing there sad because he wasn't fast enough they didn't even stop the ride. Both mean and

Well worth the money. We rode at night with the amazing lights all around. Staff very friendly and even took pictures for us. Such an incredible opportunity to see Seattle from above ?.

Definitely a cool place to check out if you get a chance. Lots of people and interesting things to see along with some good food choices. Lots of fun for sure...

Half the arcade machines are broken and don't work. Some machines need tokens (don't accept quarters) and there seems to be no way to even get tokens. Half the change/token machines are broken.

Pier 57 is our one-stop, as Dad and I thoroughly enjoyed Wings over Washington, Salish Sea Tours, and the Seattle Big Wheel. There are also several places to eat in between activities. What a wonderful time!!

Walking the water front was pretty cool. I would definitely recommend while visiting Seattle

Great vibes, and it's a popular spot for tourists. We didn't do the activities or had any of the food because we were there to walk around and enjoy the water views!

Fun place to walk through on the peir. Lots of cool old time games to play. It was a fun place to stop.

Im from the surrounding area, so I've been here 20 times or more, not that exciting, same stuff but more expensive than the last time and the time before that. The sourdough place is ok, decent bread. There is not a lot of sit-down space. Crab pot is ok if you want the smallest portion of seafood for the highest price. Eating by the water is less expensive outside the city and less people and better seafood.

This area is very busy at any time since it is so popular. Finding parking in the area is not easy, and it could be cleaner. The places to eat might be good but very overpriced. Great for people watching. We found Waldo??.

Super fun place, redesigned just about a year or so ago and is part of the newly revamped Seattle waterfront. Lots of great activities such as fly over Washington, Salish sea tours, and arcade / shopping. Highly recommend to both locals and tourists alike

It was a cool experience, a little pricey, but what isn't now days. Went up on the Great Wheel, and for $48, two of us went around three times. The sights of all the docks and west Seattle were gorgeous. I was glad to create this experience, would only recommend it if it is your first time.

Great place to hang out after visiting the aquarium or a harbor cruise. There's a large souvenier store with great selection and prices. There's also the Kondike Arcade, an ice cream shop, several restaurants, a ferris wheel, and a beautiful carousel. The place is nicely decorated with a mining theme. Great place to take kids and enjoy a vibrant, colorful atmosphere.

Crab pot was delicious and boat tour was beautiful and informative.

Coolest immersive experience I've ever been to, highly recommend to anyone going to Seattle.

Had a nice country feeling and very much renovated which I couldn't imagine could fit so many restaurants and shops inside. Definitely a recommended place to visit after the wheel which is where we found ourselves in and if you're hungry, highly consider having a meal inside. Overall the building offers some highly rated rides and options and is secure and accessible to the boardwalk outside. Much recommended.

I learned on a Salish Sea Boat Tour that Miners Landing at Pier 57 is the original supply spot for gold miners who rushed to the Alaska gold rush.

This was the best dish I had the whole time I was in Seattle I got the Chilean sea bass over the pasta. Ivars Fishermans Restaurant

Good food spots and a nice spot to walk around.

Stopped here with my two kids after walking around the Pike Place Market, it's in close proximity and a short walk to the Market which was nice. The pier is absolutely beautiful, it was clean and offered lots to do. Outside, they have a Ferris Wheel (Great Wheel) you can ride, as well as other attractions like a boat tour and Wings over Washington. Inside there are arcades, ice cream, a vintage carousel, shops, snacks, and restaurant. Our visit was on a Sunday around 2pm, almost everything inside was closed

It's a little quiet when you visit during a weekday in January but you can tell that this is a beloved tourist destination and probably well loved by locals as well. It's got a seafaring and gold-panning flair about the place and ends with a giant skywheel overlooking the water.

Interesting spot to stop and look at the gift shops inside! There are plenty of amusement attractions and restaurant choices! I suggest the Great Wheel and the bar in the back which are pretty good options!

Multiple restaurants, arcades, The big Wheel, souvenir shops. What else do you need.

First meal post-cruise, time for some good local seafood. The Cioppino was very good, seafood was excellent, sauce was near Mom's. Wife loved her Fish and Chips, the view from the outside deck was amazing. Would scarf seafood there again.

I had a really nice experience visiting miner's landing. The food was great with so many dining options, and the walk on the landing is simply amazing ??.

My son and I had a lot of fun here! The rides are a lot of fun. The ice cream, great!! Prices were not bad either. Great location and friendly staff. I only knock it down one star, because the place smelled of not great sea food. My some and I love seafood and had planned to eat here as well, but I could tell by the smell in the place that it was not great food and this made it smell bad. We went elsewhere to eat.

We enjoy going to the Miners Landing. We go down there a few times a year. We take the water taxi from W. Seattle and enjoy the shops and the food.

Bought tickets for the Wings over Washington, the Seattle Aquarium and the Great Wheel and eat at the crab pot.

The Carousel inside is very beautiful. Lots of totem poles and other carved wooden figures, to include then iconic "Rat Pack." Restaurants inside. Very child friendly.

A wonderful collection of restaurants and souvenir shops. A great wheel is an awesome site and the crab pot is an awesome place to eat dinner or lunch.

Two people, Almost two hundred dollars. Food was very good, but for the price. Not sure if it's worth that much. Service was good. Parking about anywhere is. $24.95 an hour

my daughter and i love strolling through miners landing before going to the aquarium. funky gift shops, arcade, several food options, ferris wheel, carousel ect. def a tourist trap but kids get stimulated here! a fun place for kids to explore and spend a little time.

Outstanding!! With my two daughters' we did the big wheel, merry go round the wings above Washington and even had ice cream and cotton candy. Great place to visit anytime of the year!!

Had a great time, amazing views and not too busy. The pricing was a bit excessive to me especially compared to other seattle attractions. But again, great views!

Cool little pier, lots of things to see and do. Awesome food and trinket shops

Why did they place aggressive human-sharks in their own mines? They also turned them to cyborgs and gave 'em guns! Why would they sabotage their own work? Everytime i kill the monster they magically summon a chest full of cool stuff AT THE DANG DRILL?!

I have order pumpkin spice lattes and when I tasted them they tasted like black coffee and creamer. When I went back the employee informed me that they made it correctly. And If wanted more favor I had to pay extra. And if I wanted a new drink I had to pay again. There was one woman there that was rude and didn't have good customer service. I really liked the bakery but now with this experience I will not be coming back. Worse experience at the ALASKAN SOURDOUGH BAKERY.

This is a review of Miner's Landing itself, aside from the two big attractions of the Seattle Great Wheel and Wings Over Washington. This is definitely the most tourist-trappy place in Seattle. It's not dirty but it's kinda trashy, if you know what I mean. Clutter, so-so restaurants, arcade games, ice cream, a small carousel, and a shooting game, all designed to take tourist dollars away from cruise ship passengers. I think the two big attractions are quite good, but the rest is pretty gross. I will say tha

I have an amazing time every time I come to Seattle. Beautiful tours and great food

Pretty fun stop if your in town to visit photos shared. Useing samsung galaxy s24 ultra

We had a blast showing our 14 year old around Seattle and going to the different attractions. We did the Wings Over Washington and The Great Wheel. Beautiful views of the sunset from our gondola and views of Washington from a bird's eye view.

My wife and I went to Minors Landing a couple of days in a row and had a great time. The lines and wait times were longer on the weekend compared to the weekdays, and the prices are rather high, but for us, it was time and money spent well.

Touristy but fun place. The Seattle Ferris wheel does not disappoint. Take it at sunset and the evening sky, the skyline and the ocean views are amazing.. buy tickets in advance. Try a weekday and you won't have long lines.

Wings over Washington ride is AMAZING!! The entire ride is about 6 mins long. A MUST visit if you're in the Seattle area!!

Need a place to eat or going on the big wheel. This is the place to go. Indoor dinning or something on the go as well. Friendly area. Not very many hands held out. Close to everything port side.

Miner's Landing Historic Waterfront Attractions Pier 57 is an historic attraction, home to shops, restaurants and family-friendly rides and entertainment. The name of Miner's Landing Seattle comes from the goldstrike of 1897, when a ship laden with gold and happy, successful miners docked at the pier. Today, that good-time feeling lives on through fun attractions like the vintage caoursel. The newest Miner's Landing addition, the Great Wheel, lights up at night and offers awesome views of downtown, the Oly

Beautiful views and a great boat tour from miners landing. Also enjoyed beers on the deck

Miner's Landing is a fun place to visit. Enter the Landing next to Seattle's Great Wheel. Treat yourself to a ride on the Carousel, visit the Arcade, or grab some popcorn and stroll through dozens of shops along the waterfront.

Kids would have fun. I was very concerned about hygiene though of the amusement places. The restroom smelled awful. The amusement place reminded me of a horror movie set.

Good food, good drinks, great service! Would recommend going with at least one other person, not really for solo diners.

Hot spot during the days as well the nights. Take a ride in the ferris wheel for a spectacular view of Seattle's waterfront and downtown.

Wings over Washinton is an amazing experience. The screen is wrapped around you, so you feel like you're in a parasail! You feel the wind in your face, mist from the clouds, water from the rivers. You can smell the wood trees, grass, and flowers. It takes you on a ride all over washington.

Cool vibe. Nice gift shop. Beautiful view of the wheel and sound.

A wonder space that has restaurants, carousel and nice view of puget. I like all the interesting artifacts that adorn the wall, that took me to a different era.

We had a great time riding the carousel and the huge ferris wheel. Awesome views of the sound and the city from the carousel.

The food was amazing but, the portions were a little small. On the other hand I do like to eat ??

Nice place to walk and chill out and it's the gateway of many cruises. Many good seafood restaurants along the pier.

This is one of the main tourist areas. There are several piers here. We visited this place in the evening and everything was shutting down. Today was open but we stopped in for souvenirs only. Not sure how the food is. The ferris wheel is here as well.

It's an ok place to visit, and where the Farris wheel is, but it's all clumped together, doesn't have much to do other than the mentioned Farris wheel, carousel, and 4d theater experience. There is too much construction nearby at the moment as well.

Interesting place, aust visit. Liked the sculptures, especially the pony.

Come on Seattle, this is the year to come back to Miners Landing. This once-hustling area of Seattle is back to its buzzing luster. From the new ferry terminal down to the Faris wheel, this a great time to grab a coffee for two and wander the front.

Cool place to read some Seattle history and get food. Also they have public bathrooms so that's a huge plus !! Kids will love this place. So much to do and see. And they also have an arcade for kids.

Miner?s Landing is a Seattle classic. I grew up going here as a kid and riding the carousel and playing the games and now my kids LOVE going here. Miner?s Landing is a true Seattle experience!!

Majority of the games took our quarters, so that was a bummer. Ice cream was good. The ferris wheel is always a pleaser, so that was fun.

Great place to spend your day. Loads of activities available here. Seattle Wheel is good fun for kids. There's carousel and gaming arcade inside. Several great restaurants inside and outside serving great Alaskan seafood. Beautiful views of Puget Sound. Love this spot in Seattle.

Came to visit on a Friday night and there was barely anyone out! It was very nice! Food and service was great!

Rustic atmosphere with authentic seafood dishes. Fresh fish available.

Went of the ferris wheel, was a lot of fun, and with a drink you brought got a really cool keep cup to take with you! Great value.

A great spot for both sightseeing and dining.

Classic fun, you have all types of food and arcades and it's just fun to walk through. It's the same as when our parents use to go as today.

Lots of shops and food options. Wings over Washington is a nice way to see different aspects of the state.

Nice experience and overview of Washington State. Wished there was an non invasive way to know where all these places are.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
