5 dollars on Tuesdays makes for a great night out with the family. Clean theater, comfortably seating. Popcorn was a decent price. However, I found it to be on the stale side. A large bucket split between all four of us for 11.62 worked out ?? kids walked out with a smile
I went with 3 friends to see the opening of Nosferatu today, (the evening of Christmas Day) and I have to say, I am blown away by the lack of professionalism of the staff and how nasty the bathroom was. The movie started at 8:20. We all ordered the combos with large drinks that include a free refill. At 9:15 I went to get a refill and was very rudely told that they were closed and would not refill my soda. (This was the whole reason why we got a large soda, after confirming with the staff that we indeed get
Worst movie theater experience I have ever had. When my daughter and I arrived to purchase the tickets in person, the doors were locked, I assume due to low staff. Little did I know, they are free seating but they only open the doors at the exact time the next showing is scheduled.. once seated, the movie itself is not loud and the volume is quite muffled and staticky. Horrible theater.
AS AN EX EMPLOYEE!!... this place sucks butt. Not because of the staff, but the corporate and management. We were chronically understaffed and given poor treatment by corporate. If you want to know why we're rushing you, its because we have so much to do! Want to know why we're out of things, it's because corporate denys our request for more inventory. Also the reason we don't offer refills after the concession stand is closed is because.. its closed. Things are clean and sanitized for the openers, refillin
corporate ran theater very cheap chairs hurt my back I'm 73 so my back ain't too well! but gosh dang those employees are AMAZInG! | noticed yoU guys were out of MilK dudS .super yumm.y in popcor so l ask an employe about it and they said corporate denied there request to order
$5 Tuesdays!!!! We love coming to the movies at Midway! The staff are fun and friendly as well as knowledgeable. We always feel welcome and appreciated. The movie house is spotless and everything is well stocked! Plus, they always fill my popcorn way up... lol!
The movie was great but the theater was filthy and smelled horrible! Arm rests were missing off chairs. We moved to the next row up to only find broken chairs and more missing arm rests. This place has really gone downhill!
Prices where very reasonable service very professional and home town feel. clean and comfortable. Was a Lil chilly in the theater. But had a great time.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! This man named Rob came up to me from behind the counter and started telling me about how he named his dog ?Stains? so he could say, ?come stains? I felt very uncomfortable and wish I could put morters in my ears to never hear again. I wish I could give this negative stars, but sadly I cannot
Midway Cinema has a great thing going on every 3 weeks! They show the UFC fights! I've been going once a month. I love the fights on the big screen! Popcorn, soda and candy while I watch the fights! Big screen and stereo sound. $20. It costs me $80 to get it on payperview. I highly recommend this experience.
It's my favorite movie theatre, so many memories here!! I've been going since I was tiny! It was closed randomly on a Tuseday (this last tuseday), though in the middle of the day? (12-1pm) no idea if it opened back up - wasn't a holiday and nothing on the windows. Idk. Wierd. Otherwise, really great memories have been made here. especially when you get a day when the theatre is almost or most of the way or completely empty!!!!!! It was so great when that happened. Gone on dates, family days, and hopefully
Affordable, clean, nice the workers seem happy. They have a birthday package just don't know how much it costs. In Seattle you want to watch a movie its like 50 and up by the time you sit down.
While I purchased tickets and snacks, The cashier did not seem happy to be here and attend us. I felt rushed while ordering. It would be nice to have someone welcoming and with patience as a cashier.
Great experience and nice atmosphere. I did not know there is an arcade here, none of us did!
Watched the working man, very good movie. We go to this theater often for movies!
Kind stinks they don't do weekday afternoon movies anymore. I'd rather go here but our only options for weekday afternoon movies before 3:30 pm are to go to Olympia.
Everything was clean. It was also a really nice theater. It did take longer time for each person to get their ticket and snacks than I thought it should have. But not bad enough to be surprised nowadays that's everywhere.
Nice to have your pick of seats. Went in the afternoon
The employee who helped us purchase tickets was so unbelievably rude, giving my friend and I nasty looks for dressing up, incredibly frustrated. Like just say you hate your job.
All of my interactions with the staff have been nice, kind & respectful. Not too many people come to this movie theater. So it's very peaceful and quiet. Although It's a little pricey if you want to buy food & drinks along with your movie ticket. But I understand why it's a little pricey because of where the movie theater is at. But it is a clean theater, and the seats are somewhat comfortable. So I'll definitely be coming back again and again.
A great deal on Tuesday showings, only $5! You can't beat that. I'd give more stars if the theater was heated. This place is freezing. Hard to enjoy a movie when you're shivering, toes and nose are ice cubes and you find yourself bouncing in your seat trying to stay warm and rubbing your legs trying not to distract other movie goers. Not a pleasant visit.
My only complaint is the last time we were here the sound was way too loud. Just because it is the Friday matinee, with mostly seniors, is no reason to have the volume so loud that even with improvised ear plugs from napkins it was almost unbearable.
I really like this venue. The seats were very comfy, and the room wasn't overly big. The only complaint would be that the volume was just a little loud.
Mid day matinee: betTER prices, super-sticky floors (disgusting), and no ice for pop. So only cold drinks were icees, bottled water, or energy drinks. And the ice maker has been down for a month?!? Tell me that before you charge me for a Dr. Pepper!
Always the place to go for new movies. Clean and friendly. will miss that my nephew doesn't work there anymore. Yes all shows on Tuesdays are $5.00 per person. Great if you have a large group or family.
Comfortable seats, plenty of screens, but not as many movies that are coming out for them to use them for. Prices are a bit high, but that's Everywhere. They also get you with the popcorn, at least if you're like me and absolutely HAVE to have it with the movie experience. Same goes with the soda. Plenty of more options of course, and if you can time your show for a Tuesday, it's $5. Then you can go crazy with the concession stuff.
Nice theater. It was out first viait.
Pricing is good & they usually play most of the biggest titles!?? There's also a fairly sizable arcade in the lobby that's still open to the public rite now!??????All the machines we're still working the last couple times I went there. They keep it really clean & hasn't been very packed last few times that I went there (given it's sort of a big city style theater in a somewhat small town area) for movies on opening day. (Parking included) Their bathrooms are always really clean & well functioning
Seats are awful. Sit to close to the edge they'll go practically all the way to the floor. Pain in the a$$ when a good movie has you literally on the edge of your seat. Also piss splatter all the way up both sides of the partitions separating urinals. This place has really gone downhill.
Cool place we have talked about going for years! This will save us the drive to Olympia to see a movie. The popcorn line was painfully slow, which is also the ticket line if you don't want to use a kiosk. Come early!
Felt like everyone was genuinely happy we were there. The sound for the previews seemed too loud.
Went to the last Summer $2 showing at 10am. Hardly anyone there, it was great. I hope they do this again next Summer! I would have given 5 stars but the wait in the concession stand was much longer than it needed to be and the floors in Theater 4 were sticky. Also, the "kids box" was $7 for quite a bit of popcorn, Welch's gummy snack and a small Icee with 3 flavors to choose from; cherry, blue raspberry and mango.
Discount movies gives us motivation to attend. There is a ticket only line by the concession stand but not treated with priority. Sometimes they will take many needing refreshments before turning to the ticket only line. I understand refreshments are where the theater makes money but why have a ticket only line if not served?
Clean. Decent seats. Good service when ever I've been there. Hot tamales and popcorn. Good times. ??
Nice and clean. Friendly staff that always wear their masks. I caught the last showtime of the evening for the new Spiderman and I decided half way through the movie that some popcorn and a drink sounded good but when I went to the concession bar, they had already closed down for the evening. It's understandable being the last showing of the evening and only a couple people in the whole theater. They did ask me if I wanted concessions before I went to the theater initially.... But still just kind of a bumme
Went and saw a good movie, Violent Night, action and seasonal. Only problem is our local theater. The place has gone down so bad. No one really managing it well, dirty, torn up seats. A dozen teens running amouk the entire time of the movie, jumping around, howling, and literally running up and down the stairs, on their phones, talking, laughing. Made it hard to watch as they ran in front of you every 10-15 minutes because they were movie jumping between different shows. Was at least 9 boys and 4 girls. The
Theatre itself was fine, good prices and good snacks, but the people watching with us were horrible. Crying kids, parents wouldn't take them out. People talking, LOUDLY. Just overall a frustrating experience and I think the theatre should be more vigilant in stopping those people or kicking them out if they don't respect others in the theatre. That being said, it's a decent place to watch a movie.
Bad management to let your theatre get THAT COLD and don't even attempt to warn people. Does management really think that's appropriate? What a shame, even their maintenance worker joked as we left about if we enjoyed our time freezing, really funny stuff... If I can help it, this will be the last trip to this theatre, we can drive to Olympia and watch a movie at a proper and comfortable theatre.
Love this little theater! Tons of parking, tickets seem cheaper here than anywhere else and never had a bad experience at this place. Despite being small and low key they are always playing the most current movies out.
Visited this Midway cinema last week 11/2/2021 I will say, one of the best experience i?ve been at a movie theater since the pandemic! This theater provided a arcade room which was very sanitary and clean, also their lobby was at excellent sanitary and cleanliness, the service crew including the manager was very friendly, beverages and food was excellent! bathrooms were very clean and the movie theater are very comfortable cleanliness was at its best and sound was excellent, well recommended to return agai
The theater itself is very nice and well maintained, their prices are on par with any other movie theater. They have an arcade for anyone into that but I am not, so I don't know if the games pricing is ok or not. Last time I was there they were still offering their plastic reusable popcorn buckets, but I would not purchase one as they use to have you buy a new one every year and now they made it so that you have to purchase a new one every 3 months and for it's cost I'd pass on it now unless you go to the m
Not too busy for a 5:35 movie. Ticket taker is blind with a beautiful and kind see and eye dog. Movie was Great as expected. Next door arcade, the kids were just as excited to play earning points for toys and made the best memories with our grandchildren.
I go here for the location. I think the service here could definitely use a bit of encouragement. They don't seem to want to go above and beyond. You will definitely get a great quality movie. You might get decent popcorn... but don't expect fresh popcorn in the 9pm and later showings. You will not get a welcoming environment. For $9.50 per adult and $8 per kid I'd expect better quality.
It's a pretty nice theater but the screens could use some cleaning. Overall a great deal for the price though.
Always room in the good seat section! Clean place and friendly staff. Prices are good. The movie stopped two different times (weird) and someone had to go and tell an employee to get it started again. The first time they gave us complimentary tickets, but this last time they didn't.
I have experienced very poor sound on at least three movies at this theater. The surround speakers were way too loud and there wasn't much coming from the front speakers, creating a very unpleasant reverberating sound. The only upside was that the center speaker sounded great and dialogue? was clear. The projected image is nice and sharp. Prices are average; concessions seem overpriced, but not much more than other theaters. If I continue to experience technical issues at this theater, I'll take my money so
We saw Spider-Man on screen 10 on 2/6/22. The theatre was very dirty and there was old food all over the floor, cup holders were sticky and obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while. Good movie, gross dirty theatre.
I'm going to start this with? I think someone who is not being honest or works for the Midway Theater Company is placing the good ratings for this place. Because I went there with my husband last night to watch Ready Player One, and the smell of stagnant air and body odor in theater 9 was enough to make me gag. We were the 1st to arrive for the 5:50pm show, and I was hopping the smell of popcorn other viewers brought in would cancel out the smell. Unfortunately there were a grand total of 8 people watching
Clean and fast friendly service! They're popcorn butter isn't like the mprmal.theater kind. Lacking flavor....and wondering if its just plain oil They're putting on it. Wish they had the cheddar seasoning powder for popcorn like other theaters do. All ya need is gloves to put on be4 you can use the shakers...thats cheap and easy! , those thin disposable gloves ?? ??
it was very hard to get to this place, visually. had to trust the GPS. the facility was great. the sound seemed really well equalized. my only gripe is that theater #8 was like watching the movie in a shooting range. we were really far away from the screen and not many seats across. the other theaters seemed normal.
We saw the movie, "The Art of Racing in the Rain." Great movie. You need to go see it. This theater is quite fun. I went to $5 Tuesday, because I'm cheap. It wasn't busy at all and very comfortable. It has a good size for the screen and the sound was perfect. I highly recommend this place.
This is our town theater and it is a blast to go! Wonderful people work here and the popcorn is delicious! Always a great selection of movies with 10 theaters to choose from and 3-D options! Love going!!!
They have so many movies to choose from, and on Tuesdays, their movies are really cheap, so it's a fun place to take your kids.
Normally a good place to go, but just watched star wars and audio was terrible! Not sure if it was the theater speakers or the system couldn't handle the movie, but result was rotten. Also the movie started at 11:30 and they didn't open doors until 11:20. Took about 30 minutes to buy tickets and get seated. Movie had already started when we finally sat down.
Always impressed by the friendliness of staff. Popcorn is delish there and prices are reasonable. Not crowded, seats are comfy, clean. Definitely glad to have a nice theater like this in Chehalis.
Awesome date night. Free Guy was a great movie, theater seemed clean and wasn't packed at all. Let one of the workers know the lights didn't dim off during the movie and he fixed the issue right away. Awesome service guys ????
Every time we go it's not really busy and we always have good seats, someday it would be cool if they upgraded it to the lounge chairs, the only reason I say this is because they don't seem to get much traffic and would be nice to relax more to watch a movie, but no matter what I will continue to go watch movies there
Great movie experience????not too crowded!
Dirty theater, clearly not cleaned between movies, waited over 30 mins to get concessions. Friday night movie and only 2 people working tickets and concessions, missed over 10 mins of the movie I Paid to see. Do better.
Dirty dirty dirty. Sticky floors, stained gross seats, popcorn and garbage on the floors throughout and garbages are overflowing. Bathrooms are disgusting. Sticky floors, mold on the ceiling, stalls are nasty. We will definitely make the drive to the Olympia mall theater next time.
Clean and with relatively cheap movie tickets. They gouge you on candy popcorn and soda though and if you want a refill be prepared to buy a whole new cup. They try to quote health codes and the fact they charge for the cup and not the soda as an excuse to make you buy a whole drink again. Other than that the customer service and on par and the theater seats are well maintained
Popcorn is good if you are looking for a laxatives. The seats are what you'd expect in an older theater. I'd score it lower if they didn't have $5 Tuesdays.
I love small-town cinemas that do a really good job. I saw Toy Story 4 in 3-D at the Midway Cinema and every aspect of the experience was excellent. Customer service, quality of snacks, state of the theater, and excellence of presentation. A wonderful experience that I will take advantage of again the next time I'm in town!
This is an edit from my prior review that had been positive. This place has went downhill faster than an Olympic bobsled. My bad luck here started in May, seeing wonder woman in 3-d, the movie was so out of focus it couldn't be seen til someone in the theater went and told staff. I let that go and didn't change my review since one mishap fan be forgiven. Fast forward to this last Thursday, I went to go watch justice league. My girlfriend and I arrived early to be able to see the previews. Well, before
Nice very nostalgic. I wish for this place to succeed and theater's shouldn't ever die. They're worthwhile. Shouldn't become a thing of the past!
A good movie theater for its location. Staff is helpful and nice. Movie quality is great. Buying tickets at the concession stand is a little off putting if you're not getting food though. We had to stand in line a while when we saw a movie opening weekend.
They went above and beyond to show their gratitude for going to a movie during COVID. We felt extremely safe and everything was well thought out and sanitary. Highly recommend we all show our love and go to the movies again.
Theater itself wasn't bad, but the bathrooms we're horrible! Half the urinals we're covered in trash bags and out of order, there was water and other fluids all over the floor. It looked like it habldnt been cleaned in week or more. And this was an early showing in the middle of the week so it's not like it was busy. Only one poor girl behind the counter right when multiple movies were about to start. If there was any competition for theaters in Lewis county this place would probably be out of business with
We just saw TopGun Maverick. Movie was GREAT! Almost left because should turned up so loud, even prior to movie. Had to stuff napkins in my ears and it was still very loud. Probably won't go back without earplugs.
Lucky to have our movie theater, but if you want to purchase something during your movie, you have to get back in line. Just purchase same time as you get your ticket. My grandson wanted something to drink.. line was huge. Staffed ok, just wring timing on my part I guess
What a great place. so clean and lots of snack choices. staff was not so nice but. Love the movies.
I was floored at how nice this place was, go before 5pm on a weekday and the prices are great. They've got plenty of food (the prices aren't so great) The seats aren't the huge recliners you get in other locations, but they are comfortable. The staff was helpful and everything was clean.
I have always enjoyed watching movies here but the long, long line and wait time to buy a ticket and concessions is a real downer. We were early and sure were not going to hold on to our food stuffs for a long time before entering the theater and were not going to wait in line a second time. $15 dollars lost revenue right there.
At least at the Olympic Club the movies are $4 adults and $2 kids, and you can order good food, also Wednesday beer, movie and burgers $13. I do like movies but they are getting real expensive. So the food should make up for that fact and yet I believe Carnival food is better than what you get at the this theater. And I don't mean the boat Carnival I mean the fairgrounds.
Went to Jurassic park 88. Movie was fine. Theater was clean. The last two times I went there they gave back dimes and nickels. I pointed out the dollars in the register he said they were for someone else. It didn't occur to him to ask management for more dollars and quarters
Very disappointed today. Just left the theater. My daughter and I drove into Chehalis (25 minute drive) soon as the movie started it began skipping and didn't stop. The General Manager said they have had issues all day and were working on them and offered a couple tickets to come back at another time. Ok things happen I understand no biggie, but I asked if we could get complimentary popcorn or a soda when we came back he said no. To me he should of threw in a soda and or popcorn for our troubles. We were th
Nice theater, not too many people. It's Great! Always awesome popcorn. Their heater had broken in our movie bay, but it was fine.
We had our choice of a number of movies, the facility was very clean, and the theater was very comfortable. We went on a weekday, and there were only a few other people in the theater with us. I'm sure we'll be going back and watching other movies there in the near future.
$37 for 2 senior tickets and a #2 combo (large popcorn & 2 large drinks). Not horrible, and it was nice to go to a movie again after a year and a half. Theater was clean and we had the whole place to ourselves.
Most games shut down currently. Theater staff was supportive as possible, but fun was dampened severely by small amount of available games. Apparently they don't feel like cleaning them, so just shut them off.
Very poor customer service!!! Covid wasn't their fault, but they finally open back up on weekends only after being closed for months . So my wife and I decide to go see a movie. I checked the website, it says there is a showing of WW1984 at 7:00pm. I call the theater and someone answers the phone, I ask if they are open and he says yes, I ask if they are serving concessions and he says yes. We show up to see the movie and told it's a private showing only, sorry your out of luck. No mention on the website, n
I love this place I go here all the time, they have an amazing staff. They are always there when something goes wrong . They are really polite , and they are always fast to fix stuff . And I would recommend this theater to all of my friends and family.
Nice theatre overall. Condiments over priced but I think that's every cinema. Buy candy before and carry in your purse or fanny pack. They always understaffed and employ mostly teenagers anyway so doubtful anyone will care. Chairs are comfy and screens are digital.
Very happy with the place. Got there early enough for no lines. Clean. Sound was good. Good pricing relative to other theaters.
All around amazing, comfortable theater rooms, all the new movies, great prices on the tickets and they have 5 dollar tuesdays, th food and drinks are all kind of expensive but thats where they make their money so its understandable. I loved going here every time I have and trust me I have been here a lot so I would try checking this out. I rate this place 10/10 because it is just amazing in every aspect.
Food and service was absolutely horrible. No popcorn available, except for an old bag laying inside the machine.... What kind of theatre doesn't have popcorn freshly available?! Girlfriend ordered nachos instead, she received a dish of nacho cheese dip and a bag of tostitos. That was it! Upon leaving theatre a bunch of kids(employees) were chasing each other with garbage cans and swearing at each other. Will never return! The only reason I give it 2 stars is the movie screen was actually better looking than
Originally they had it right. Ticket booth outside, popcorn etc. Inside. Now they have you wait in long lines for BOTH at the same time. They need a tickets only line for those that don't want anything else. It's ridiculous to make EVERYONE wait while they slowly prepare food and scoop popcorn and pour pop, causing us to miss the first of the movie. Makes me never want to go again. 20.00 for an adult and a child is bad enough, but make is wait for everyone's concessions???? FIX THIS PLEASE!! At least make
This theater is in a small town so it's best attribute is that you can almost ALWAYS choose your seating. The food is WAY, WAY overpriced which is made even worse because of the lack of quality after you lay out almost TEN BUCKS for a POPCORN! The picture and sound quality are good and the counter and ticket service from workers there is great. Unfortunately the seating seems (to me) to force you upright and almost forward which sucks for two hours.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
