Mid County Lanes and Entertainment

Mid County Lanes and Entertainment

Reviews Summary

The reviews present a mixed consensus. Many praise the fun atmosphere, variety of activities (bowling, arcade, laser tag), and helpful staff, particularly for family outings and events. However, significant complaints highlight understaffing, poor customer service (rude or disinterested employees), frequent equipment malfunctions (stuck bowling balls, broken games), and overpricing. Food quality, especially pizza, is criticized. While some had excellent experiences, others faced disorganization, long waits, and unresolved issues, leading to frustration. Cleanliness and well-maintained lanes receive positive remarks, but inconsistent service and operational problems detract from overall satisfaction.

Customer Reviews

Nice, family-friendly fun. Well-maintained lanes, great vibes, good music, and plenty of snack options for the little ones, as well as adult bevy options too. The staff were so warm and helpful and made sure everyone had a great time.

First time here with my husband wanted to bowl but it was very busy so we decided to play an hour of pool instead it's really nice staff is very friendly and helpful the place is clean there is so much to do here we will definitely come back early in the day to go bowling but had a blast playing pool

Good lanes! The lanes are in good condition sometimes have pin issues like where a pin falls after set up but it's an easy reset. Any issues and the employees are there to help. They are always so lovely and helpful here. The pro shop here is the best. If you ever need your ball drilled Ethan is a wonderful worker incredibly happy spirit and such a huge help. Ethan helped my whole family with our new bowling balls and our equipment. He's amazing! Not going anywhere but him for my bowling supplies

I came in from the gym late looking for a decent meal and wasn't disappointed. In fact I got more than I bargained for, I got a BLT with fries that was so big I could barely eat it all, plus 2 hours of entertaining dialogue with the locals that made me feel like I was on an episode of Cheers. Everything was clean and well kept, and everyone seemed to really be enjoying the atmosphere both on the lanes and around the games. I thought it was a great place.

Mid County Lanes and Entertainment: A Perfect Spot for Family Fun! Mid County Lanes and Entertainment is an outstanding entertainment center that offers something for everyone. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a clean, well-maintained facility and a friendly, helpful staff. The bowling alley boasts 24 lanes, perfect for open bowling, leagues, or even a fun-filled birthday party. The lanes are well-maintained, and the screens above playing music videos add a lively touch. Beyond bowling, the

It's a nice bowling alley and game room. Unfortunately, most of the games were out of order. The ones that did work. Worked when they wanted to. I had to swipe the card several times to get one play. The money was deducted from the card, but the game never worked. No one to complain to. The bowling is expensive too. For an hour on a Saturday afternoon. It was $45. A person. No matter what age you were. Wasn't about to pay that for a 5 - and 4 year old to bowl. They wounded last an hour! ???? it's not a ba

I don't bowl here often, but the women's size 11 shoes are far too wide. My foot was sliding around in the shoes and I had a difficult time enjoying myself, particularly after I had mild injury to one of my ankles. A larger foot on a woman does not mean she needs a wide shoe. I asked the young man at the counter for regular, not wide, size 11s. He said they were all like that. He handed me another pair of shoes, but they were too small, so the wrong size. It was obvious he wasn't interested in helping me,

did not enjoy my first and only visit to this bowling alley. It wasn't even 20 before 10 with only four rounds left when the girl with the short brown/blue hair came up to us and told us, "hey guys, not to be rude but yall only have 15 minutes before we close (literal side ways face)." We actually had 20 minutes, she then turns the music off at 10 till and some of the lights. We only had four rounds left and we finished before 10. I think the customer service was extremely rude and impatient. Boone doesn't

Went there for my granddaughter's birthday and we had a blast. Went bowling played in the arcade. Eight pizza had a nice private party room. We all had a great time as you can see by our pictures

Arrived here 1:45 pm 01/18 and was told it's 16 mins wait and there's 4 people ahead of us. This guy in blue shirt, short red headed guy asked for my name, party and wrote it down and told us to wait by the side. After 15 mins I walked back up and asked how the line was. This dude in pink shirt, big afro checked the computer and said it's 15 mins more. We waited for 25 mins more and went back up. And now they're telling us it's actually "first come first serve" and the next lane is 20 mins. I've been here f

Very nice, but my lane got screwed up a few times. Also a lil pricey. But the food is fairly priced, and of course bowling is super fun.

We hold one of our team building events here. Our staff enjoys bowling and all the other activities they have there. We also enjoy having it here because our staff can bring their families.

Spacious 32 lane alley with food Bar available. A patron can't bring food or drinks. The place is well kept, fun atmosphere.

Always have a blast here with the kids the laser tag is fun the kids love the frog hopper and the bumper cars. The arcades are a ok price for the most part but they do try to sneak the price up on some of the more popular ones. My only complaint would be that the bowling ally was completely booked up on a Sunday they were have a good deal on the lanes and we called the day before and no one mentioned that they were having a tournament and wouldn't have any opens lanes for almost the hole day. But overall it

Always have a good time here. This time they saved my son's birthday when another facility let us down. We were able to get an open lane, play a couple of games and then head to the fun zone. The boys loved their laser tag games and the rest of us played skeeball and a variety of other games. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the food is good - especially the fries!

Clean, friendly, reasonable prices for seniors 55 and older, $4 per game open bowling.

I want to start off by saying I love this space. The cleanliness, atmosphere etc. Staff is great, just overall good vibes. However I did reserve 4 lanes for a MVP bday party this past Saturday there was a little confusion as to what came with my package and I kind of felt on my own. I had to find someone for everything I needed. However when I did everyone in the place was accommodating and willing to help. Front counter kids were all great and super helpful friendly etc. Pinky in the kitchen came to the re

We had an enjoyable experience at MidCounty Lanes. The bowling alley is very clean, and the staff was very courteous and helpful. It was a bit more expensive than I expected, and the snack bar and arcade (?) were not open. There were a few claw machines at the entrance, and they appeared to be working on the karaoke room. Very pleasant environment.

My younger son and I went there mid-morning on a Saturday. There was plenty of parking. The bowling aley was huge. Lots of lanes and the amount of people there were nicely spaced out. The staff was nice and quite helpful. They had a few screens over the lanes which played music videos and had a wide range of awesome classics. Thete were also party lights flashing everywhere. It was a very clean place. We ca not wait to go back.

Awesome Lanes and incredible owners. Bob and Kim are terrific people and keep a clean, fun and safe atmosphere. I highly recommend Mid County Lanes for good family and friends' fun!

It's okay. I don't know what I expected but if your not playing the arcade there isn't much left. The kids enjoyed what they could.

Clean, fun, great arcade! Our 5 & 6 year old daughters had a blast! The owner is incredibly personable and kind. We will be back soon - thank you so much!

A very good place to bring the family and to meet up with friends. Arcade games, snack bar, and sports bar for Adults. For the kids, they provide bumpers guards on the lanes and ball ramps so the kids can have great assisted games. For teens and adults they have the latest Pop & Rap music videos playing on all alley section screens so can get move to the beat and get your best bowling groove on! Overall, this nice bowling alley provides a great fun bowling atmosphere for everybody, you'll want to return!

This is an awesome bowling alley! The lanes are well maintained. Staff is friendly and attentive. Facility is sanitary.

Bowling was good. I was happy I bought a new ball . the store owner told me he couldn't drill the holes and he would do it next morning between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm I get there no lights on he never showed up .

Despite them changing a tournament and shutting down all their lanes when we last went. This is still our go to. The family friendly environment is second to none. They really put the work in when enhancing their arcade and food services. This is the only place to take your family for a fun and safe time. Always clean lanes and a bowling system that's easy to use. Proshop is hard to beat too. All around amazing.

Went there for a birthday party and it was fun!

I always love going to this place but to be honest it keeps getting more and more expensive.

It had been quite a few years since we've been here, but we had my son's birthday party here tonight and it was excellent. We did an hour of bowling and an hour of the arcade/attractions and everyone had a great time. The communication and service were top notch, the price is very reasonable for all that you get, and there was a ton for the kids to do. Probably the best birthday venue we've used, would highly recommend.

Very cool night out with freinds. The bowling was nice, it's not too loud even with all the lanes being used and has even more than I expected. Fair prices I believe. A Very nice experience overall! Ps: Me and my freinds wore matching outfits and look weird but everyone was still nice and inviting??!

We had a great time for my birthday. I originally reserved 2 lanes but more decided to join at the last minute. They were very accommodating and we got 3 lanes right next to eachother. We also had a little one who needed bumpers and they easily set it up in the middle of our game. They also have bumper cars and laser tag. Would definitely recommend!! Thank you for making my birthday a great day!

Went to a birthday party on Saturday, my kid was Entertained and happy. Kylie was exceptionally always present and eager to make sure that everyone in my friends daughters birthday was satisfied. I already booked my son's birthday party here and can't wait not to be stressed out for once

Took the family in to go bowling. I haven't been in years. It has gotten pretty expensive since I have been last. Most of the rental balls were damaged and had divots and dents in them. Rolling the ball sounds like a train going down the tracks. Another thing was that the balls traveled off line without reason. Like the floor leveling was off. I am no lane professional, but I thought the ball should go straight. I mean, overall, it's not a bad place. I will definitely go back to Bowl again. Also, I wanted

I had a wonderful time with my kids & husband.. BUT WHO EVER HIT MY F150 WHITE in the parking lot, I hope you ended up with some good damage? & come forward so we can exchange info, thanks..

Good Time.. Call ahead to see when leagues are done and have open lanes

The atmosphere was great. The kids had a great time bowling and the staff here is amazing. Highly recommend a day with family or friends.

Love the bowling alley and will be back. The place definitely needs better trained employees. Just about all the employees were on there cell phones in the arcade area. The boy behind the counter at where you get your prizes for the tickets you won was extremely rude. Bad attitude! Even my child said he was huffing while picking my prizes . Don't dare ask a question without some rude comment in return. The girl working the frog ride immediately when the children were on and it started was watching her phone

I had a great time bowling and the kids enjoyed the games. We will be back.

We had a great experience for my son's 6th birthday. Great price included 1 hour of bowling and 1 of arcade which included laser tag, bumper cars and frog ride. The kids had a blast, the pizza was great. They even provided the goodie bags. Mariah did a great job of taking care of us. Definitely recommend!

Super fun. It's always a party ????

Great service and the management was extremely helpful for accommodating our group.

We went for an early evening event with our church, 4-6 pm. We had a great time. The rental shoes were in good shape. The bowling alley and bathrooms were clean. Plenty of bowling balls too choose from. A lot of seating available.

Facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. Bowling, arcade, bumper cars, laser tag etc...plenty to keep all ages entertained. ??

fun went there for a field trip just wish they had the arcade open??

My wife and I Love this place. We bowl every now and then but we really go there to play pool and eat wings... and I'll have a Beer or 2 from the Bar! Lol. ??????

If you want to use a house ball and don't care about the conditions then this may be an enjoyable visit. However if you arrive during the week as we did don't expect any oil at all. A plastic ball, Ice, should not hook like a reactive. We didn't arrive later in the day, shortly after noon.

Said they were open til 2am but when we arrived at 10:30 the doors were locked

Staff were helpful and everyone had a great time

Saturday afternoon, bowling is outta control with pricing. 50 bucks an hour plus shoes. 68 bucks for 3 of us to bowl. Place is clean and the staff are very friendly.

Had a great time, Jayden and Maguire up front were really helpful accommodating for two little kids who were in no rush and didn't understand the whole "time limit" things! ?? We will be back because of those two workers. Thanks guys!

We visited on a Monday night at around 7pm. We waited about 15 minutes and with all of the specials, we ended up the unlimited bowling. This was $13.49 a person that included shoes and up to 3 hours of bowling. Great vibe tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. The entrance is next to an ice cream shop and is a bit unmarked.

I love this bowling alley! I have been frequenting this place since I moved to Delaware and back in 2006. It is consistently good, always clean and we always have a great time when we go. There's a great arcade with laser tag and a even spinning bumper cars. There are pool tables and a bar. Food is ok with pizza and fried foods. I will be coming back here very soon. Thank you for the great experience we had celebrating my son's birthday

I'm leaving one star bcuz it won't let me leave a review without it. Food was good but the manager is nasty. I purchased a card at the arcade. But didn't get to use it bcuz they closed early. When I went to talk to the manager he was too busy playing bowling then actually doing his job. He was more concerned with playing his game rather than trying to help us. He was very aggressive and disrespectful. He walked away to talk about me with his friends. I came out the bathroom and heard him talking about the s

Super busy when we went Sunday around 145. We were given an hour wait (no big deal!) Within a half hour our lanes were ready! Kids & adults had a blast, we will be back monthly I'm sure. Lanes were clean and staff friendly.

Nice place for kids to bowl and Adults..Great place for kids parties .

We purchased a Groupon which was very misleading in that it appeared to include bowling, but it did not. It was an hour of bumper cars, laser tag, a dirty and dark ball pit, and a minute version of the Tower of Terror (Frog Drop). Upon arrival, we planned to bowl and weren't able to given the Groupon we had purchased. The young lady at the counter didn't know how to process our Groupon. Some concessions did not open until after 5:30 pm. Did we still have fun? Yes. Was it what we planned for, paid for, or ex

Very bright and well lit. Lanes looked shiny and well maintained. Looking for leagues, but need to go online and no pricing is available

Your online info is very informative, your Google page says open but when you look further into it your "summer hours" (which you have to search for) the game room is closed on Thursdays. That should be on the main page instead if having people drive as far as I did to bring my kids for a good time. They are not old enough to bowl but I wanted to take them for a good time. All we got was disappointed. Thank you for helping me make up my mind on never coming back here. Customer lost for good.

Fun place! Despite the amount of signs I saw about being required to wear a mask, it wasn't a huge majority doing so. I understand if you're taking a sip of a drink or a bite of food, but that wasn't the case. Decent prices for drinks, albeit not hugely attentive service.

I had the worst time. They brought a birthday party, sat the whole thing down next to my one lane party. That party proceeded to act as if they owned the place. Walking all around our tiny one lane. Letting their kids throw balls down our lane and the staff did and said nothing. A ball, thrown by someone not in my party stopped in the gutter. When "fixed" I was blessed with a spare even though I threw the ball once. Thanks. Nice to fix. You could have picked the ball up and brought it back to the the people

Very nice chill spot a little dates but you get the small town feel. Staff is always pleasant. They need to update their bumper and system they always seem to crash and we have to refresh or call for help

They are expensive ($49 per lane per hour and $5 per pair of shoes), and our lane kept glitching. I was expecting much better service/quality for the price, but I guess they are content with this because they serve a larger audience.

We starting bowling about 3 weeks ago doing Family Time and it's been GREAT. We have been spending quality family time and. ending up making great friends

Had a great time. Clean areas, bathroom clean, food was pretty good. The company I was with all enjoyed their drinks. The children enjoyed the arcade area. We all enjoyed the bowel. This was a very fun outing for adults and children.

Pretty clean place. I like going there because it's always a lane available. The welcome wasn't all that great. We stood there for a minute or 2 at the front desk while 2 employees had a conversation without even saying telling us to hold on a moment. Not a big deal but I felt a little brushed off. The bar service was a little slow too. But the bowling was sweet.

Most things don't work. I bought a hour for my kids to do the extra activities. They could only do 2/4 which I was never told when I purchased. The play/ball area had about 2 dozen cruddy balls and nothing worked inside of it. Close to 1/4 of the arcade games were out of order. The staff was not helpful when I asked questions as the beginning which would have told me they couldn't do half the extra activities.

I gave my nephew his 13th birthday here. We adults enjoyed it just as much. It definitely caters to adult and children alike. They really enjoyed themselves. I definitely recommend this place for all ages

I took the kids to the Family Fun Galaxy within the bowling alley. It was our first time there and we weren't sure what to expect. It didn't take long to make up our minds that we wanted to stay and play! They kids had a blast driving reckless in bumper cars, lighting up the wide selection of arcade games, getting on the Frog Hopper ride, in the ball pit, and of course, their favorite, laser tag! We ordered a $14 flavor-free pizza that I surely didn't write home about and ate at one of the large tables. T

Always a fun time with the kids here. Everything is well maintained. We also attended a birthday party and it was nicely done.

Always a great value, excellent staff and friendly bartender. The lanes are kept in good order and your seating area is kept sanitized after every rotation of players on the lane. Nice pro shop as well.

Staff is friendly and helpful with lanes and malfunctions. We got 2hrs on a Saturday night but we're a few minutes short on finishing our games and they extended our time to let us finish. Always have a good time here.

Best bowling alley and arcade ever! They have a great atmosphere and their customer service is great! The food is also amazing! The employees there always want to make sure that you are having a great time. If you have a problem they help fix it! Definitely will be coming back. This is my new hangout spot with my friends!

Bowling alley is a but pricey and the arcade area is a rip off except at least most of the games are a dollar. Only go here if you are in a group to bowl and you in the area to kill time and if you take advantage of the coupons to use the arcade area. The arcade area is literally the size of a first floor house. It's small and the attractions are the size of bedrooms. Please don't pay full price to use this place..coupons..coupons coupons You can only fit maybe 5 to 6 people at a time on the bumper ca

This was our first visit and we will definitely be back very soon. The staff was wonderful, the prices were reasonable for the bowling, food and beer. The food tasted great and for $150, we fed 5 people, had 4 beers, bowled for 2 hrs and tipped the staff. We will have to try the games next time! Thank you Mid County Lanes!

Pretty ridiculous that the "no refund" policy offers zero exceptions. Especially when a child drops a game card that we put money on in between a machine of the establishment that they apparently cannot get to. The fact that they basically told us we were SOL and offered zero solutions to the problem other than "you can buy a new one" Good customer service would be offering to either refund or a replacement, not telling me that "there are signs posted"

We had fun bowling but the main gentleman, Tim, was incredibly rude. He scoffed at me when I didn't understand how the pricing structure worked. We asked to play 2 games for our family of 4 and he only gave us 5 frames, went back up and asked for the full 10 frames but then we found out we had only paid for 1 full game. Don't think it should be this confusing to go bowling with your family and I certainly didn't expect to pay full price for my 2-year-old. We definitely will not be back. Not to mention it wa

Has good games, lighting is very dim for some reason, heavily understaffed, disorganized, chaotic, unmanned kid rides. The pizza was absolutely the worst pizza I've ever had. Tasted like cardboard with Ragu sauce and a bunch of cheese on top. My kid's birthday is coming up, I will not be coming here for sure.

I never EVER write online and complain but, this place deserves it. It is terrible!! Took my family to the arcade part. after purchasing our cards we realized half of the games were out of order. the games that we did play either wouldn't work with the swipe of the card or wouldnt give you all the tickets that you won. sometimes it wouldnt even give any tickets out. The ticket counting machine was jammed every 5 mins. There was about 7 staff members and I can only say about two of them were good. They rest

Great place....great place to bowl

Amazing place i love the fact that they had laser tag and other things to do then just the arcade games. Super fun i?m also having my 13th birthday there with a bunch of my friends since i enjoyed it so much last time!! would recommend 10/10.

The kids loved the laser tag and bumper cars the best, but of course bowling and the arcade are always the main pull. We got a pizza while we were bowling and it was good, too. Even my 7 year old stopped bowling long enough to eat!

I purchased wrist bands for the attractions n my son wouldnt end up doing any of them n they wouldnt give a refund or exchange for arcade time or anything. I will never be back to this place when ive had fun previous times. I will tell everyone I know to go to main event or somewhere else instead of this place! I could see if I had the wrist band for 20 30 mins already n to not do a refund but no i had it not even 10 mins! Ended up just giving 2 hour worth wrist bands to some guys instead BC this company

Went for a kids birthday party and the arcade was horrendous. At least 2/3 of the games were broken to the point of being unusable, but none of them were marked as out of order, so they would still take your money. I spun the jackpot on the wheel of Fortune game and no tickets came out. Most of the games use an electronic card payment system, but around 1/3 of the games inexplicably still use coins. There is no change machine to be found. On the plus side, the beer was cheap and tasted like the hoses were

We had a really good time here, though there was a slight wait on everything due to the fact that there was only one person working. The place was nice and clean, and I don't know much about bowling prices, but it seemed pretty fair. Really enjoyed it!

Arcade was ok but bowling was a 0 out of 5. The bowling balls kept getting stuck and I couldn't get a bumper for my younger brother because the staff said it was broke. We didn't even finish the time we paid for because the balls repeatedly kept getting stuck and not returning even after we asked for help. Also, there were signs posted that you would not be able to get a refund.

Excellent bowling place. Great place to go and have a good time with the family. Easily you can spend serval hours here with the arcade, laser tag games and more.

The manager ruined my girlfriend 's birthday by providing terrible customer service. Paid for 6 people to bowl 1 game and had to get 2 lanes. With 2 adults on 1 lane and 4 kids on the other lane, kids wasn't allowed to finish their game due to adults completing early. Manager had a negative attitude and wouldn't allow the kids to finish. After we decided to leave, he tried to rectify by trying to restart the game but the scores were lost. By that time, the mood was ruined and it was too little, too late.

My 5 year old and 1 year old loved bowling (with bumpers) and the arcade was a hit. A few of the younger employees seemed to not want to be bothered with us but we still had a good time and will be back to visit soon!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
