Customer Reviews

I have been going quite regularly to Merrimack Ten Pin. It is by far, the nicest bowling alley I have ever been to. It is always super clean and well maintained. If anything goes awry with the equipment while bowling, which doesn't happen often at all, someone is quick to fix the issue ! And the customer service is always friendly and efficient, especially from Todd and Erica. I noticed a lot of the other reviews mentioned pricing. Personally, I don't have an issue with the costs because it's all abou

So I brought my son bowling today at Merrimack Ten pin for the first time. My son is autistic and we had been bowling at Leda Lanes which just closed down so, I didn't know how he would do. I noticed how clean the place was and was greeted by Todd at the front desk, I told him about Leda lanes and he assured me he would be able to bowl, the had lighter balls, ramps and bumpers. During our conversation my son walked behind the desk for shoes and Todd not only helped him find a pair but, put them on for him.

Clean and serene 10-Pin Bowling Alley featuring dozens of oiled lanes, shoe rentals, house balls, pool tables, large arcade, food and beverage bar, draft Beers and a small Pro Shop. Lots of parking, a large function room for Birthdays and events, leagues for men, women and children and fully automated score-keeping utilizing computerized tablets at each lane for your use .. round out the facility. Expect to pay $29-$49 per hour to Bowl .. depending on which day of the week/night you plan to Bowl. This pr

No issues with the bowling itself. It was pricey $247 for two lanes, two games (5 adults, 2 kids). They stated that they are charging $47 per hour per lane. The adults all had sticker shock. It wasn't very full on a rainy day, I understand why.

Spent 110 $ on 2 pitchers of coors light at 30$ a pop..played billiards for 2 hours. When i firsr walked in I was impressed until i paid my bill .Also when i go to pay the guy at the counter asked if i could afford paying like who asks a customer that. Too expensive for the product they have. Video game prices are insane. No wonder it was empty on school vacation week. This place boast premium service for the premium price. There isnt a decent bar no waitress or waiters tending to customers..Food is frozen n

$55 to bowl for an hour lol. You have to be kidding me. I played pool for 3 hours instead and got 3 beers with my buddy. Still cost us $100. You're a bowling alley not a golf course lol. I'll spend my money elsewhere. This is what happens when other businesses buy other businesses and only care about money. Good luck guys lol.

Price per hour was typical for bowling. Thought it was ridiculous that we couldn't pay per game/ string especially since they couldn't put the bumpers up for our game because we weren't "kids" mind you I was with an elderly client with dementia that I took out to do something he used to really like doing . Bowling a 44 because physically can't throw the ball like "adults" should really didn't boost his morale. So had to cut it short and just bowl the one game. Paying $50 (with shoe rentals) is absurd for a

A perfect place to spend a cold winter day. It can get busy especially during school vacation week. But they have lots of lanes, shoes and balls. Bowling is fun, don't know why I don't bowl more. They accommodated our group and we played two games. We would have done 3 games, but they crammed six of us on one lane and we ran out of time. The glow bowling was interesting with pink and green.

Merrimack ten pin was always a place we went for fun and played per string bowling. We went there for my son?s birthday with our family and 3 year old. There were no signs of cost or that costs have changed. Well it is not per string anymore, it is PER HOUR. So DO NOT go with little kids who take a long time to bowl because they are not going to tell you you're racking up a hundred plus dollars in bowling. When we were done with our 3 year old and son our 1 lane, 1 string was $84!!!!!!! Not to mention our f

I was recently at this establishment when an employee by the name of Todd was extremely rude to myself, my son and my grandmother apparently we were sitting in the wrong seat and he abruptly made us move without even asking, please to move. I'm politely saying it and started shoving our stuff onto a tray and it was just a really unpleasant experience. I've never been treated like that somewhere we were actively playing a game we weren't just sitting there Loitering. Terrible experience won't ever go back ag

Merrimack ten pin is great! The food is surprisingly good. The place is clean. The atmosphere is fun and the staff are friendly. Everytime I've gone here has been a blast. If you're considering going bowling, you won't regret picking this place!

Nice people and the lanes are generally kept on good condition. Not overkill on prices for food or drink. Wish there was more open bowling. times during the weeknights but leagues take up the lanes.

Great family experience with a fun arcade. Downside some of the service wasn't the best? However for an afternoon of family fun it's worth it for the price.

Great time with my daughter introducing her to 10 pin bowling and some pool. You guys should start a pool league . That would be fun. But either way we will be back for more fun!

Merrimack ten pin is where I learnt how to bowl three years ago. I don't know why I dealt with their blatant disrespect for all these years. It started out when I first started when I didn't have a debit card at the time and they gave me such an attitude for not having one, and almost turning down my service. The manager is also maybe one of the most rudest people I've met. The prices at this bowling alley have become outrageously overpriced for low quantity experience. The food there is an absolute disgrac

The facility was clean and festive. The person at the front desk could have been more welcoming, but we had a good time bowling anyway.

Sadly it was not good, we played one string and were told we would have to rush our second for a league coming in using all 28 lanes, if we were told this initial we would have gone elsewhere. The staff I would say was not friendly and I was surprised they charge by time and not string...

Clean, neat place with amazing employees, super fresh pizza that cooks right at your eyes. We had a blast with family at this place!

So, this was my third time ever for myself doing 10 pin bowling and it was fun. Great place. This place offers: ? Playing pool $20 for an hour. ? Small arcade ? Food & drinks ? Bowling 10 pin. $6 per game per indivisual. $6 shoe rental.

Update: I did get the converted gift card back a few days later with an apology from the owner (I'm guessing). Added a star for that but not planning on going back beyond using up the gift card. Saw the outrageous prices online but decided to go bc we have an $80 gift card. Called ahead to make sure the gift card could be used and was told "yes". Got there and bowled for one hour w/3 shoe rentals, cost us $65. ?? Presented the gift card to pay only to be told that "its an old gift card" and under the new o

I had a great time there. Very good atmosphere. Fun places

Huge thank you to Merrimac Ten Pin for hosting such a wonderful event, from the Nathan Project ?? Great experience in a wonderful atmosphere! ??

Pricy for what it is. They charge for the shoes after the round, it doubles the price. Bowling was fun though.

Very nice and clean alley with a good little arcade. Kids enjoyed it a lot.

Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, the entire facility was clean (even the bathrooms!), technology for keeping score, etc. was top notch - my kids especially loved the face feature in place of the player's name. Didn't use the arcade, but noticed that others who did were having a great time. The snack bar was well lit, fast/friendly service, and had an amazing variety. Can't say enough good things about the whole experience. Can't wait to go back!

Really disappointed in what seems to be new management; overcharging is an understatement. 2 hours of bowling and 4 shoe rentals should not cost $145. This is such a disappointing discovery considering this is the only place we realistically go bowling due to the convenience of the price point and the amenities offered. The amenities offered are NOT worth the prices listed currently. Just over a year ago a party of 6 for longer would have costed less. Save your time and your money, clearly new management do

Prices are ridiculous...pricing families right out. You cannot finish a game when your time is up. What happened to paying for games played.?

I've come here a few times over the last year and each time I come I tell myself, "never again," then I convince myself once again, only to be disappointed. Aside from some rude staff and expensive prices, the last times weren't awful I suppose. This time, however, was. I arrived at 8pm on Saturday 11/18 and we expected it to be busy. It was and were quoted 30 mins wait, which was no problem. The problem came when a lane was ready, they had no shoes in our size and only 3 available balls (which were sized f

Their website states open bowling is available and what hours but when you show up they tell you they don't do open bowling because of leagues (when I looked it up,the leagues start at 6 pm and I showed up at 3). Disappointing, because I was excited to go here again after going as a kid and even checked the website beforehand for the open bowling hours. Do not go here if you actually want to be able to bowl I guess, the guy said it's August through April.

While the place is nice to bowl at the customer service and food area leaves quite a bit to be desired. We were told we could not have outside drinks which was understandable but the gentleman who approached us was very passive aggressive about it and just came off rude. As for the food area I was beyond shocked to see that not only was the food prepped bare handed (with out gloves) but they didn't so much as wash their hands between orders to maintain some sort of sanitation. This leaves open a concern of

Don't bother going here with 2-3 people unless you want to pay an absurd price for games. This was my 2nd time here. We called ahead to find out about pricing so we weren't in for any surprises. I was told by the staff that it was prorated by the hour and averaged $3 per person per game or $6 per person per hour ( for around 2 games). This was incorrect and ended up paying $49 with the shoe rental for 1 hour for 3 people. During that time, the balls got stuck and maintenance had to come to our lane as we we

Hosted my sons 9th bday here recently! They were more than accommodating we had alot of people show up who didnt rsvp they still made sure they had everything and were included in the party and the glow bowling was awesome!

A nice place to bowl. A bit pricey. Shocked that shoe rental was extra ($6/pair-hour). Not sure I'll go back.

Just went for a quick bowling session with some friends and our kids, we were there for a total of 1 hr and 45 minutes on 2 lanes. There was no pricing posted and nobody explained their pricing ahead of time to us. Honestly bowling has always been a fun cheap thing to do so I never thought to ask. When we Went to leave we got hit with a $214 bill! ??. Never stepping foot in there again. It's a shame, way to expensive.

Great place to bowl with friends and have a beer! Good choice in music too. Can get a tad crowded but that's expected with bowling allies. I loved that they had billiards and arcades too! Lots of parking available.

All this establishment is, is a money grab. Paying almost $50 to bowl is ridiculous never mind the employees won't even let me bring my own reusable water bottle. They mentioned improvements are the reason for a jump in prices but the place hasn't changed much. Plus improvements doesn't mean charging $20 to bowl to more north of $50. This place is a joke

I always have a good time. Todd, Zoe and the rest of the staff do a good job keeping the place maintained and enhancing the experience. I am in a league and the pricing for leagues and practice is fair, but I agree with other comments that the hourly rate for open bowling is seems high and might keep people from bowling.

While the bowling alley boasts a visually appealing ambiance, the experience was marred by the disappointingly rude staff member/owner. Despite the sleek aesthetics, the unhelpful and impolite demeanor of the employee significantly detracted from the overall enjoyment. It's unfortunate that such a promising venue falls short in providing a pleasant customer service experience. Also the prices were way too high.

Ridiculously expensive. Prices are not posted and the cashier referred us to the website after telling us we owed over $200 for less than two hours of bowling. We were told this is based on new management and their ?changes to the business.? Well congratulations, you've lost four customers and their families.

Super nice place, unfortunately it's outrageously expensive and you can bowl on the weekend for half the price anywhere else in the area? paid over $150 for 2 beers nachos and 2 sandwiches and 2 hours of bowling.. $50 per for hour for a lane is ridiculous

People at the snack bar were extremely rude. Kept telling us that the kitchen is closed even though we were just looking?kept going on a rant about ?this is how restaurants work? and such, treating us as if we were toddlers. Lady at the front desk was also rude, not the first time we have had issues with her. Overall ruined our experience and made us leave early. Very overpriced for a mediocre alley. 1/10

The place USED to be my favorite place for bowling. New management have ruined it by being rude and disregarding all feedback. It's incredibly expensive (I'm sure they'll respond to this listing pricing that I can find online), got rid of the friendly atmosphere, and made it a place I don't want to go. Our lane was shut off mid game (never happened with old management). The place isn't the problem, the management is. Hopefully they'll look at the long list of 1 star reviews since they took over and get the

I used to come every weekend but with new management it's now grossly overpriced. Still a nice place to bowl but haven't been back.

Went from about $5/game to $50/hour for a lane. Makes sense now why the place was mostly dead on a Saturday night ?? And why are you asking if we'd like to leave a gratuity when checking out? Ridiculous. It's a shame to see another good local business kill itself under GREEDY new ownership.

Great bowling alley, horrific staff. The bowling alley itself is well maintained and kept up on. The staff is another story. Do not expect to be greeted with respect or professionalism at all. Bowled from 10pm-12:30am on a Friday night and was charged 3x the amount of what should have been charged. Upon receipt, I signed and walked away thinking the total was a bit high. As I walked outside of the venue around 12:45am I noticed I was charged 3x the amount I should have been. The doors had already been locke

Our family loves coming to Merrimack Ten Pin! It's a great place for birthday celebrations, date nights, and even fundraising events. The staff is great, and the environment is very fun. Fully expect to return again soon.

My friends and I went to do a quick bowling session at night. They close at 10 and we got there at 9 for a quick 30 min match. They cut our time short and charged us for the full game while other people still playing bowling continued until about 9:45. The workers were extremely rude and sarcastic to us when we asked why and gave us untrue reasons. Reluctantly, we paid. I asked them to split the payment and they gave us a big deal and told us they can't which was an absolute lie because they've done so in t

I love this alley, as well as the staff! But there is one major issue that has started since the new ownership; the price. The new pricing can be beneficial to large groups of 5-6 people per lane, but anybody who enjoys bowling as a sport and goes to practice their game will suffer greatly. Spending $29-49 per hour each practice session is unsustainable for the average person. The switch from paying per game to exclusively paying per hour was the nail in the coffin. Unless you are able to join a league, whi

My shoes had holes in them, I'm talking both shoes on both sides. It's like someone took a blade to them... it would have been nice to not give those shoes to customers. It has the potential to be a great spot but is severely lacking updates.

So much fun for the whole family. Ramps and bumpers available for kids. Good food & atmosphere.

If you are planning to have your kid?s birthday here I strongly recommend you reconsider. We planned our sons 6th birthday party here, and let's just say it was terrible all around. For starters when scheduling they are extremely difficult to get information from. We were contacted the day before and we told them we were at 7 people. On arrival unfortunately only two of our sons friends showed up. We were then told we had to pay for 12 people due to that's what we said when we scheduled. Even though we chan

Asked if they honor there online prices and I was told yes they do. I cashed out and they charged me a higher price than what is clearly stated online. I questioned it and The guy was super rude and has absolutely no customer service skills what so ever. They asked me to tip this super young kid , 6 years old at best who is delivering food and drinks...I hope you are going to actually pay him...he is running around so you lazy people don't have too...

We finally found a GREAT place to bowl! The owner is wonderful. The place is super clean. The lanes expertly maintained and oiled. And a top notch pro shop to boot! Also, we've eaten here a few times and the food is incredible. My wife loves their personal pan pizza and mozzarella sticks and I very much enjoy their BLT's. Prices are very very reasonable as well.

I booked a small family party here. Crystal was so accommodating and spent a lot of time making sure the smaller details were taken care of. They had the function room all decorated with balloons and bowling themed birthday plates...etc. I found the price to be very reasonable, the food was good and every staff member was so nice. We had such a blast!!!! We will surely return soon.

Great staff great atmosphere awesome glow bowling

We had a great time. Very comfortable atmosphere. Going to make it a weekly thing.

Late night glow bowling on fri and sat. a small bar with beers and like twisted tea type drinks and a few premixed cocktails, a variety of ball weights to choose from and a mini arcade. Great for date nights The last time we were there the older woman incharge of the bar area had a younger gentlemen helping her. He was very polite took our order and when we were paying she cut in saying are they allowed to have a drink and a shot at the same time? He said yes and she said fine if you say so. Then later on

Beautifully maintained and well staffed. If you are looking for a good place to bowl then look no further.

Our Birthday party on Saturday was perfect!! Both the kids and adults had a great time! The staff was excellent and attended to our every need! We will definitely be going back for other functions.

I brought my summer school students to Merrimack Ten Pin, and the staff was AMAZING! They were great with the kids, accommodating to our needs, and we're just overall excited to have us! We felt so welcome, and we will absolutely be having another field trip there. It is a great environment for family, school trips, and fun nights with friends for sure!

I decided to write this review to hopefully avoid this happening to another family. When an establishment loses sight of the value of their customer, then it's time to be vocal. We arrived on Sunday for a family day out with our 5 year old granddaughter. We approached the counter and before we could ask a question, Todd the employee snapped at us because of our grandchild?s ?empty? water bottle. ?No outside food or drink? he snapped. He was continually rude with every inquiry. The last straw is when she was

This bowling alley is clean, and an enjoyable place in New England to bowl 10 pin... when you can actually get in here. Every time I have been here, they have leagues. On a weekend, when people have time, they are always booked for leagues.

As we were leaving to put our water bottles back in the car, another older man approached us (two teenage girls) from a side door and rudely informed us we were already told to get rid of the water bottles (which was stupid to begin with as they were sealed and I'm not spending $3 on a Dasani) and then watched us leave the building which was incredibly unnerving. The original young man who told us about the rule was quite nice about it, but the second older man was creepy and rude.

Awesome! We're Ohioans, so this was our first experience candlepin bowling and we loved it. The owner is a super nice guy and very accommodating! We didn't get to use the arcade, but it looks great! Looks like a perfect place for birthday parties too.

Every Monday evening at 7pm there are 12 of us that come and play. We have been coming since the beginning of January reserving 3 lanes. New owners take over and now 12 of us can no longer reserve 3 lanes. Why? We spend $200 every Monday plus beer, food, slushies and sodas all evening. Hmmm ?? how is that smart business. Had we been able to play our full 12 weeks like we were planning to we would have spent over $4,000.00. Bye, bye

If you're looking for an affordable place to bowl, go to Yankee lanes in Manchester! We went on Friday Nov.10th around 2:30. We were there for 2 hours, bowled 3 stings and got food. Cost us $48.00. Friday and Saturday nights from 9:30 to Midnight, $20 a person for unlimited bowling!

The GM Todd is not a very nice person very rude with his responses. The food is ok but an 10-12oz coffee or a bottle soda are $4.00 each ways too much money.

Actually a very nice and fun bowling alley. Lots of presets to select for the actual bowling game, lots of beer options, typical bar food, and the service was really nice as well. Basically acted like on-demand service from our lane. Will definitely make this our go to bowling spot

We love going here! Todd and Jan are awesome people. I would highly recommend Merrimack Ten Pin!

This place is amazing! My friends and I had a blast! The drinks were amazing, big supply of options and huge menu. Easily spend 3 to 4 hours there of pure fun. The lady that worked there OR owns it is soooo sweet and so helpful. Would seriously recommend.

This place has been fun in the past and great place for glow bowling. However things have obviously changed. Specifically one male employee, who seemed to be in charge tonight.... Felt it necessary to interrupt my son's turn halfway through our first round to let us know we need to replace the balls when we are finished..... like that isn't obvious. At the end of our night he asked me to leave a tip..... if I felt someone deserved a tip for anything I would give it, this place has changed and i don't need t

We had TONS of fun as family. But played only 2 games and everyone got snacks & drinks totalling $90, not including arcade & pool cost. To be fair thou we did have our share of adult drinks. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Just wish it didn't cost so much so we could afford to go back every week.

Very clean, seemed.more spacious than other bowling alleys. There are arcade games that give tickets, bring cash to purchase tokens to play. They have a snack area and sell beer too. We attended a birthday party here and had a blast, the party area had alot of seating for the big group we were with. We will certainly be going back.

This place is nice for what you pay. It has new TVs and a touchscreen for bowling so at least it doesn't have 90s tech. I come here with my friends and we always have a good time as long as the older lady isn't yelling at us for trying to spin 6 pound balls. I would give 5 stars if the lady wasn't rude to us the second we walk in.

Some employees are lovely and helpful, others (specifically the man in charge today) are extremely condescending and disrespectful. I've never had an issue here before today. Facility is nice, but after our experience today, I am far from impressed with their customer service and will not be returning.

One 12oz. bottle of Angry Orchard, one 12oz can of Downeast, and a Snickers was $21. New management is a joke. Do not come here if you want a good viewing experience for a fair price.

Pretty good spot..nothing stood out as great..seems like they are very aware that they are the only ten pin spot in the area so they kinda have a good enough attitude. Not a bad spot though

I get it, it's Christmas Eve, but we called ahead to see if the lanes would be open and talked to a woman at 10am who told us they'd be open until 6. We drove an hour, arrived at 4:15 and were greeted by a man who rudely said ?not sure if you saw but the open sign is off.? When we explained that we called earlier, he told us ?no, I've been telling people this on the phone all day?. We explained again that we were told 6, and he essentially told us that we were lying. It felt very unprofessional and we were

I have been bowling here for a couple of years now in two different leagues. Since the new owners have taken over ( owners of block party social in hookset) they have raised the prices on food twice. I come straight from work and usually always order food. Today when I came in I noticed almost if not all the prices have been raised at least $1.00. I will no longer be ordering food here anymore. I am sure that a lot of the people in my leagues will stop buying food here. Just an example a Jumbo soda is now $

Workers not kind, as well as lane malfunctioning and dropping pins/missing pins before we even threw the ball. Unenjoyable experience and we felt rushed, because they had lost time due to them having to fix our lane. Paid for an hour and lost time due to malfunctioning lane. When issue was brought up to staff, was basically dismissed that there was no issue! Will not go again.

I have no complaints about this facility, only complaints about one employee. She is an older woman with very short gray hair and she is nasty! She is very rude upon entry and she while I was bowling today (I'm in a power wheelchair), she informed me the ramp I was using to bowl was for children and that I had to use a specific sized ball rather than the ball I was already using. Not only did this cause my ball to go towards the gutter everytime, this woman made me feel like a child and I was discriminated

I love this place, but went yesterday and only played one game because I felt unsafe with the amount of unmasked patrons. On our right were 3 older men who weren't wearing masks as they bowled. On our left were two patrons who took their masks off to bowl and then put them on to sit. At the pool table were two patrons without masks. I will always recommend as a place to bowl; it's one of the best in the area. But yesterday? Not impressed. I will go back once this is all over, but not until then.

Nice bowling and arcade space. They don't have bowling prices posted, which makes it hard to decide what to purchase, and the worker was very rude to me when I expressed not liking this, and was rude to other workers while checking us out. He made the experience much worse. He might be a manager? Other workers we encountered were nice.

MTP has over 20 lanes, all of which are in great shape and are well maintained. The staff is excellent and generally very friendly. The facility is always clean and the food and beverages are very good as far as bowling alley concessions go. I went recently and was pleasantly surprised to find upgrades in the form of tablet style scoring in place of the old consoles. These are as easy to use as you can imagine.

A nice bowling alley with good facilities, including a pizza restaurant and little arcade. That said, the service was really poor- to the point of rudeness. It was a shame, because the two mean women working at the counter were extremely unwelcoming, unhelpful really put a negative taint on what was otherwise a great night of bowling. A little manners, kindness and courtesy go a long way.

Went to the midnight new years party that they had. Had a very good time. They had lights but they weren't to crazy to distract you from the game. If you have light sensitivities, the venu has some lights but they didn't strobe or were intense. Staff was pretty attentive to what was going on. Food was typical fried pub stuff. Good experience all around .

Fun. Understaffed so the wait was a little more than wanted. But they serve beer which is always a plus, however make sure you have your ID ready. I watched them ID a person that was no lie 50 years old with grey hair!!

A very good place to bowl. A bit pricey for an hour compared to other places, but worth it. The place was very clean and it's got plenty of lanes. They also have a cool arcade that takes me back to my childhood. As Ahnold famously said, ?I'll be back.?

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?
