We had a great time at the turkey for tots event. It was our first time at the Sportsmans club. It was very nice and clean. Sits right on the Manteno Lake. The staff there is great very friendly. What a great event for such a great cause.
Wonderful food at great prices. Bartenders and servers were knowledgeable and quite friendly. Overall a FANTASTIC experience!!
My boss is a member of this club.a great place to camp and fish and swim they have a beautiful beach. A nice playground for the kids.if you want a drink they have the actual club beer shots and more.you have to be a member to bring a camper. But to swim at the beach you can pay per person I think it's $3 but I'm not positive.
We have had three rather large family gatherings here and they have been wonderful! Food is yummy, service is great, venu very nice!
That's fun time . Band nights Wednesday . Hamburgers and chips pop open bar . Excellent bands go there . Go there enjoy your self. Open bar.
This was my first time visiting this venue. It is open to the public. The lakeside setting is beautiful and was a great spot for live music. They were cooking cheeseburgers, so I didn't really experience much of the food, but what I had was good. All in all, a great place to visit.
We needed a venue last minute for an after funeral luncheon. They had all the tables set up perfectly. Price was amazing. Very clean. Would definitely use again.

Great food good time
The website makes it look like a dive bar. Went for an event at the banquet hall. Adequate room, bar service was good. Very nice view off the patio. Food was mediocre.

Ok, I have never eaten here but folks were raving about the Wednesday cheeseburger grilled outside. They have a wonderful happy hour deal M-F. Service was nice.
First time here for live blues music. Very clean and chill atmosphere. Bartender took care of me right away even though it was busy. This is a very unique place and not sure if you have to be a member but it has that local, family appeal.
Honestly friendly people and workers, and a nice private lakeside beach deal. Can't get much better for our little town.
Had a great time at burger night! Not too many people there this time. I understand it's normally packed. Bar is open to the public, beach and campground are not. Staff and volunteers do a great job!

Had my wedding reception there. Everyone was wearing relaxed clothing. "Shorts, flip flops" very relaxing atmosphere. Nothing fancy but very relaxing and so much fun

Wednesdays are burger nights, at least in the summer, today they had live music playing. Great atmosphere, great bartenders, and great pricing! Add in the lakeside view and you got a perfect drinking spot!
We drive 600 miles to stay here as we have the last 7 years. The past 3, never a spot for us. The mantenoians move in at the beginning and pay for the whole summer, only spending 2-3 days a week there. We are always promised a spot somewhere. The last 3 years on the grass, in puddles of water and this past year we were told to wait until the end of July. We had to stay on the street at my mother in laws which is illegal in manteno. We stayed for 3 days and headed back 600 miles back. This place should be
Our home away from home in the summer. Awesome beach, great clubhouse, and family friendly activities. Wednesday night is cheese burger night on the patio can't beat the price. Only gripe I have is I wish they served food everyday.
Such a fun, friendly, and social place to be. Prices are great. Lots of activities for members. Clean beach and lake to swim in. Also nice place for camping, fishing and boating. A family friendly club and worth the membership fee
So I called up there last week to see how to get a membership and they gave me instructions. Called today to see when is a good time to come and was told by a bartender they are not doing memberships any longer?? What changed in a week???
Three words: Wednesday burger nights. Burgers cooked on charcoal, brought to your outdoor table by cute, but very serious little kids, and a local blues, rock or country band playing as you sit watching the sun set over a pretty lake. Burger nights are from May to September. Be prepared for cigarette smoke, grill smoke and a struggle for a table that isn't reserved by someone's invisible friends. It's bright and cheerful at Sportsmans Club. Loads of large windows are a big plus to view Lake Manteno. On Monday's Caryn is the bar tender and extremely nice and pleasant. Caryn is there until 5PM and just one visit will bring you back every Monday when she is working. They have tables and chairs outside if you feel like enjoying the outdoors. They do not have a hot kitchen but frozen pizzas are available or just order from one of the many food places in Manteno. They do offer fresh popcorn for free and
Great large hall with separate bar for Wedding receptions to reunions. Biker friendly, several Motorcycle events held each year. Back bar open for a casual drink. Summertime Chezburger Nights are always a huge party.
Great place to have a Wedding ceremony and reception. The wait staff are friendly and the hostess is top notch and the food is excellent. If you are bringing in equipment loadin and out is easy.
Very nice place to rent for any occasion. My brother in law got married here and it was awesome. Staff was very friendly the place was nice and clean.

thought that it took way too long to get a drink. And it was not crowded at all in fact two of the women were standing behind the bar talking and when they did notice someone needed to drink it wasn't me I was still standing and waiting with money in my hand I know I waited over 5 minutes for someone to come over and ask me what they could get me
Lived on the lake growing up and was always harassed by the ?membership police? asking me and my siblings where are memberships cards were because we we're swimming in their lake? never had a membership since we lived on the lake. Didn't need one.
Service is always good and the drinks are fairly priced. Very nice atmosphere outside by the lake
We sat outside by the Lake, had several beers and drinks,it was a beautiful day and evening.

They have a Cheeseburger night. Good food and entertainment ... band, on wednesdays during the summer months. Not a member so can't comment on the benefits of membership.
I am a wedding DJ and I had the pleasure of DJing a wedding at this location. It's a beautiful setting and the banquets staff goes above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable.

Good time, good music, slightly limited drink selection but good enough to get tipsy. People were friendly. Had a blast.
Went to go see their firework display. It was phenomenal. They figured out parking to their best ability but it was still quite the hike.
