Manitou Springs Penny Arcade

Such a fun place to go and play around for a couple hours or take the kids as well. If you have a machine that swallows your money and doesn't do anything make sure you tell an attendant they are very helpful. We really enjoyed it, especially using our pennies, nickels and dimes on some of the older more random machines in the back of one of the largest buildings.

Super fun place for kids. A lot of older games which were fun to play. Quarter machines were available throughout the area. Games gave tickets that could be redeemed for prizes. There were several rooms filled with games, they are all pretty close making the areas kinda tight. I recommend bringing water.

Very fun and large retro arcade that included carnival games as well, they had some games that were 100 years old! The horse race was my favorite. It would be cool if they placed all the games that were super old or out of order in their own little building with informational materials so you could learn more of their history while at the same time it would keep the other buildings a little less crowded. This is a must stop attraction when you are in Manitou Springs!

Blast from the past, such a good time we went two nights while there for our 3 night stay. Skeeball, pinball machines, so many oldies you just have to experience. Fun Date night or family day, heck solo too, all around good time.

The machines might not be in the greatest condition, in fact a lot of them are really rough, BUT they make up for it by the sheer variety of machines they have. So fun. I could spend the whole day there. Lots of games for kids and adults. Some games give you tickets to exchange for candy, toys, etc.

My son loved all the games!! Totally kid friendly and easily accessible there was a couple change machines empty but no biggie! The gentleman at the counter hooked my baby up with a little bath toy that he loves!! 10/10 will be going back!

A wonderful area with amazing views. People are extremely friendly and inviting, the games they have are fun, its just an all rounded good fun place. My only complaint is some machines, the 1st or 2nd quarter slot eats your quarters and doesn't give credits for the games. Although I have too much fun to care about a few quarters.

It's a lot of fun and nostalgic - just be forewarned A LOT of things are broken and not functional . Some had signs, some didn't - I'd say we spent 20 dollars but 5 of it was wasted on games/ rides that didn't work. I can't be too mad based on the price and the experience was fun and my kids loved it !

Love, Love it!! I never knew that somewhere in this world, I could still play for 1 penny, 10 cents or a quarter, even 1 dollar!! we had a blast with all the old arcade games!! you have to come try it to believe it!! it's the best!!

Man if I had a million dollars I would spend it all here and in one day. They have every game you have ever played plus ones that were made before you were born. My kids and I would have spent every penny if we could and that's possible because they have penny games as well.

Had fun playing some classic old school games, even the non-video games, plus the pinball. Plenty to choose from.

Really loved all the oldest penny, nickel, and dime arcade machines from the 50s and earlier and they truly are still a penny, nickel, or dime. My kids absolutely loved it and played the newer quarter games, but still the newest games are mostly from the 80s. We went twice and spent only about $15 each time. The employees were all so great too. Really worth a visit.

Most games are 25-50 cents per play, and if you don't have quarters, they have machines where you can get change. It's great to see so many oldschool cabinets around. Most of them were functioning, only saw a few that were out of order. Have been coming here for 29 years. My son is 11 and has been coming here for 11 years and my newborn who is now 5 and a half months will always come here too. Our home arcade, we love this place and will always visit. The best arcade I've ever been to!

We had so much fun as a family. 5 or so buildings all with arcade, pinball, claw machines and zoltar. We had no interest in tickets but the kids did receive a good amount and enjoyed selecting their prize. A machine did short me $4, but I found a gentleman and he was extremely helpful and gave me the correct change. I would say it's worth a visit!

Alot of games were out of order. My nephews enjoyed it. The prizes you can purchase with the tickets, aren't very good. Lots of small cheap stuff.

This place has been my go to since I was a kid! I enjoy some of the older games. They have tons of little building full of games. Pinball, Skee-Ball, shooting games, pearl games & more! For people over 40, you're going to love this place saying all these games that just transport you back in time. It's quite interesting that they've been able to gather all these machines and bring them halfway up a mountain. There are literally hundreds to choose from between all the different arcades in this area of Manitou.

You could literally stay in this place all day. Every game or machine you could imagine and most are only a quarter. The have change machines which makes life so much easier . Be patient as this is a popular spot and tends to be very crowded at times. We had a blast here and a much needed rest from sightseeing for the kiddos.

Great place to take the kids. We were visiting for Thanksgiving and had to stop in. Plenty of games for all ages. You won't be disappointed. Games from a penny up to a dollar per play. Also have a ticket service where you get tokens based on your score. Tokens are redeemable for prizes. They even have working antique games you can play. It's like playing arcade games in a time machine. You definitely need to give it a shot.

This gem in Manitou Springs was a great find. It is full of lovingly maintained arcade games. Some brought back memories (working mechanical Skee-ball machines, a Williams 1963 major league mechanical arcade game) and some were long before my time and would have been treasured pieces in a museum. The staff were happy to assist customers. It is a great place to revisit your childhood.

Massive selection of games from old to new. We really enjoyed playing some of the older games that we haven't seen in many years. Lots of fun for the whole family.

Absolutely incredible experience for all ages! I've never gone to anything like this before. Having the arcade weave in and out of multiple buildings is so unique with each building offering plenty of fun. My favorite part was the wide range of game ages. It was so neat getting to play very vintage games and a few steps later being able to play a brand new pinball machines from recent movies. This is a must stop.

Definately a NOT TO MISS experience when you are visiting Manitou Springs! Most of these games bring back amazing memories from when I was a kid. This is definitely a 5 Star experience but I have removed one star due to the huge number of games that were out of order it did not work after paying for the game. Highly recommend to visit!

This is my second time here. My grandson is his first visit and just like any kid, he had fun. There's ATM's, change stations, and if there's more than 10 people for the derby, winner wins a cup. There's several buildings for games to choose from.

This place is pretty awesome. Honestly, this whole surrounding area in manitou is pretty great. They have new updated games as well as super old ones. I like that they modernize some but also keep the old games and kid rides. It's super retro and a very cool experience. Have been here many times, and my kids love it! I'd go here over places like the summit any day. Highly recommend for tourists.

We came in 2023 and it was so much fun! This year (2025) more than half the machines are broken and just take your money. Needs a major upgrade/revamp.

So many vintage games! Nothing compared to what you would spend at an arcade now. They have penny, dime, and nickel machine games. They also have quarter games. They have older and some newer games. Definitely brought back memories. So many different options of indoor and outdoor games.

COME ON NEW OWNER, PLEASE STEP IT UP AND SAVE THIS FANTASTIC PLACE!! Start focusing on quality vs. quantity! You don't need 3 trashed Galagas, 5 trashed Ms. PacMans, 3 broken Pitch and Bats, or a whole row of broken EM gun games. Keep ONE in fully working order and perhaps one as a rotational spare! Such a wonderful trip down memory lane. The games are a great mix of childhood memories will take you back to being a kid again. Gets crowded during the summer but to be expected. Great stop when you visit Manitou Springs to waste a little time and create some memories with those old and young.

A true gem in the heart of historic Manitou Springs. I was in town for the Pikes Peak Marathon and just randomly stumbled across the arcade. They have many change machines. I was most impressed by the variety of games. Some very old, some more modern. Definitely brought back many memories from my childhood. Lots of pinball machines. Fun for all ages.

Went on last Friday night with my guests from Delaware. We waited for an hour for our turn. It was so fun and we enjoyed a lot. I will suggest to book in advance so that you don't waste your time.

Kiddos had a great time going through all the spaces and finding their favorite games. The staff is constantly cleaning, refilling tickets, and noting if a machine isn't working. I do recommend a Ziploc to carry your change and tickets.

This used to be my FAVORITE place to take guests from out of town & my son & I would occasionally drop in on a week night. However, the horse racing game (my favorite) now costs $1. About 3 years ago it was only 50 cents. This visit, many many games were broken & not all were labeled as broken so coins would get lost. They have all kinds of great games here. From old pinball games to really, really old pinball games to classic Miss Pac-Man. I was surprised to find an old Street fighter pinball game here that I really enjoyed. Everything is still a quarter which is very refreshing, I would highly recommend checking this place out if you enjoy playing arcade games.

Loved the vintage look and original pieces, feel like in a old movie. Sadly a few machines didn't work, but there are plenty that did make our little one have a lot of fun.

Amazing collection of ventage arcade games and children's coin operated rides. Most games and rides are just a quarter. The arcade has been owned and run by the same family since 1949. If Allen, the current member of the family that runs the operation, is present (which is pretty much anytime the arcade is open), hearing his stories alone make the trip worthwhile!

I have mixed feelings on the Manitou Springs Penny Arcade. The selection of games is awesome. There are also some antique arcade games from decades past, very cool. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars as opposed to 5 is that it was a bit pricey. Definitely still worth stopping by if you're visiting the area!

1st time here, my son & I loved it! I enjoyed seeing all the vintage games from my childhood & so many of the individual children rides. It was so cute, brought back good childhood memories & memories of when my daughter was a toddler. "Big age gap between my kids, lol." 09/22/24 The Penny Arcade is a very fun side attraction in Manitou Springs. All the arcade games are along a nice little alley (some games are inside buildings with air conditioning and there are some ?kiddie rides? outdoors). This was way more fun than I thought it would be! My son had a blast. He enjoyed sampling all the vintage games. The games aren't a penny anymore, but they do vary between 25 cents and about $1.50. They have change machines and give out paper tickets for prizes. He sure to bring a little bag/pouch to keep track of it all! Don't miss the spring/fountain inside the arcade. This place is a must, no matter what age you are! My teens had an amazing time as well as my mother in law and my husband and I. There are so many good games and you can easily spend a couple hours here. We didn't spend more than $40 between 5 of us! It was amazing & so much fun! I honestly thought this would be a small place with a few pinball machines but there are several different areas for game play and a wide variety of games.

Definitely a place you must go to. However, people are smoking and it is a real boomer. I wish it was not authorized to smoke around. There is kids all around. There is customers and also people who are working on those stores who don't have the common sense to not smoke around.

Love this place! We visited here with our kids on our recent trip to Colorado Springs. I love the open air concept and how retro it is. All the games are old, but that's what made it so cool. We spent probably $20 and had a great time. I highly recommend this place for a fun afternoon.

Real fun time here. There's only a few games still available for a penny, plenty for a nickel. Mostly quarters. Ended up having the most fun with the older, mechanical games! Great time and had a lot of fun for only $20 worth of quarters and some change. The indoors areas are well air conditioned, though it wasn't too terribly hot out. Some of the staff were great, some seemed like they really didn't want to be there. That's just how people are, I guess. Wasn't a big deal.

We really did enjoy ourselves at this quaint little town! There were so many stores to visit, the restaurants were amazing ! The view was so beautiful!

this place rocks for several reasons: you get to play games in or 'kinda outside'. it's like a mall but every store is a different themed arcade. the best are all the classic games and to be totally honest, I like the old pinball games, pretend I'm Fonzi, ehhhhh. I'd be there everyday, but broke right now. oh, and there are bars there and food too. so you could recall the the good ol days but can get lit doing it! 1 of few 'safe' places to kick it at in this town of moral decay!

Great place to have fun and enjoy games from the turn of the century until today. I really enjoyed it because of all the games from the 1980s. Asteroid, galaxy, Tron and many more. Games range and price from one penny to $5 but it seems like most of them are about $0.25.

Holy cow!! Words can't describe how fun this was. Vintage machines, machines that take a penny, a nickel, dime and of course quarters. Large arcade with a game for anyone. Definitely worth the trip. All ages will love it.

Lots of broken games a few cool classics. Easy way to distract the kids but it really would be so much better if they just tried to fix things and had workers there who weren't downright annoyed or rude if you interacted with them.

Sprawling arcade that covers multipe rooms and even has some outdoors machines. A ton of variety here and an awesome collection of modern and retro pinball and video games. Many classics here like Donkey Kong, Centipede and Dig Dug. Some of vintage sports games have to be worth some serious money as collector items. I would recommend not going on a weekend. There was hardly room to turn around. A lot of games were also out of order. Although, we did really enjoy the rolling ball game with the horses and will be back to do that again. Manitou Springs overall though is an adorable little town and has a great candy shop and lots of historic buildings.

This place is so much fun! They have hundreds of arcade machines from skeeball to pinball, video games, pool tables, boxing machines, racing machines and more. The majority of the games cost just a quarter, with a handful charging fifty cents or a dollar. Very affordable. We had so much fun here - you can spend hours without spending a ton of money and never be bored. Highly recommend.

Possibly the highlight of our trip. So much fun to play old video games and walk around to the sights, sounds and smells of pure fun. They have done a remarkable job with the machines and games. And the fact you can play for a few quarters is awesome. Take the kids and a cup of quarters and live like the 80-90's

Where do I even begin to describe how awesome this place is! It was like reliving my childhood all over again. Lol! They had some pretty cool games even some old school games beyond my time. It was pretty cool to experience some arcade type games that are no longer around! The kids loved it! I think my husband had more fun than the kids! We are definitely visiting this place again!

I absolutely loved it. My family had a blast. Never had I heard my dad say "hey you wanna stop and split a funnel cake" before and boy was I quick to pipe up a "yep you bet, when don't I want to split a funnel cake?!"
