Customer Reviews

I am so grateful to have a low-key arcade available on Main St.! My one wish is that it would remain open throughout the week, even if only for the late afternoon/evening. I love to stop by after work for a few games and it really does add some much needed joy to the days when I can't fit much else into my schedule. Thank you!

This place is awesome! They have a bunch of machines a nice bathroom and everything runs great!

Wow, what a place! Lafayette is lucky to have this spot! Great collection of well maintained pins. Some real rare ones. Like Big Bang Bar. A must stop for any pinhead.

This is easily one of the best pinball arcades in the state. The owner takes loving care of each and every machine in his excellently currated collection. New Stern's, many classics, and total nuclear annilation from spooky pinball. They even have a Skycurser arcade. This place is worth a drive from anywhere in Indiana.

Pinball machines are in amazing condition. You can buy tokens in the back or use an app on your phone. Totally worth the drive from Chicago.

can someone who lives there tell me what the place right next to this place is? (the one which says daily special mon through fri) plz I need to know. (when did this turn in to a bar from jones bbq foot massage)

Super fun place to go! I would recommend for anyone of any age. All different games for everyone to find there favorite or something new. Super cool ?? must go spot! Impressive collection of awesome machines!

They have a lot of old games, fun to go with a group! You can get change there so don't need to bring it, but have cash. Kind of a hole in the wall spot, almost missed it walking by

One of the nicest arcades I have ever been to. All machines were in perfect working order

Great variety of pinball tables, lots of rare ones. It's a hidden gem in the city!

We have heard so many great things about Main Street Amusements- I am so glad we got a chance to go! We all had fun trying out the different pinball machines and games. Very friendly, low key atmosphere. Highly recommend!

So much fun! Love going for a date night to battle it out or even as a group of friends to take on the Pinball World!

All of the best pinball machines ever made in 1 location. Clean, fun, family friendly. Great Place.

Really fun and prices are very affordable . Took me back many years.

I found myself thinking about Main Street Amusements today. I used to go once in a while maybe 10, 12 years ago when I was in Lafayette, which wasn't often. I played some incredible, very old games there. They were magical experiences and to this day, valued memories.

Worst arcade I have been to!! The pinball games flippers are so weak they won't even flip the ball. Like you flip the ball at the start to play the game. Go straight down the middle every single time you can't even play. If I could get zero Stars I would.

Fun pinball machines. This brought back memories of the arcade I used to go to at a local bowling alley. I liked the variety of machines. Some are 1 token up to 4 tokens which make it more fun to play different ones. I hope this business can expand in the future and add a place to put coats.

Games are so fun! $20 for 80 tokens...$2 for 8 tokens... Loads of fun. Try to beat my high score on MS PacMan!!!

Amazing. You can have tons of fun for a cheap price

We drove 3 hours to play the best arcade in Indiana! Very inexpensive entertainment for the entire family. The operator and staff are extremely friendly and the business is clean and located in a nice area of town. Can't wait to go back Tuesday for the next tournament!

Great time to spend with family and is inexpensive.

Amazing game (pinball) selection. Probably the best maintained collection I've ever played on. Prices were a little steep but not out of line. Owner is super nice too. Hours are a little wonky but I'll take what I can get!

This place is a hidden gem!!! They have so many fun games and very affordable. It's a great way to spend a couple of hours. I love going and playing the games.

Always fun to visit. New games every blue moon. There is now a record joke box that plays old music, 2 songs for $.025 It's pretty cool. Love the bowling pin ball game. Maybe one day add a snack machine or some kind of food available?

Over two dozen pinball machines and lots of retro video games (including the largest Pac-Man I've ever seen) this is a great (if not a little noisy) place for family fun. $20 gets you 80 tokens and the machines take between 1 and 4 tokens each.

What a charming little place! It's packed full of new and older pinball machines and I didn't have any problems with any of them not working (which as you know can be an issue sometimes). I got $10 worth of tokens and was able to play for almost an hour. There are arcade games such as Galaga and Donkey Long Jr. as well. Some of the older games are cheaper. The newer pinball machines are a little pricey but overall, I had a great time. If you go, you have to play the giant Pac-Man game with a friend. There

Good little place with a variety of older arcade games and pinball machines. Many of the pinball machines were kind of expensive in our estimation, at a dollar a play, but many others were very cheap at just a quarter a go. The giant pacman/galaga is also nice and low at 50c a play. There were drink holders on many machines, and the owner was very nice, he returned the only token that got eaten by a machine. All in all a solid, entertaining amusement hall, I'm sure I'll return. Oh, and for the Bob's Bur

A hidden gem. Affordable family fun! Lots of pinball games and nostaglia. Great way to spend time with your purdue student if you are a parent.

A fantastic place to play pinball! I grew up playing he EM's and early SS's so having a wall dedicated to those is wonderful. Machines are well maintained and it's worth the hour plus drive to play!

Man, this place is old school cool. Really had a blast. Took my four year old nephew for his first experience, and the kid won on the claw machine his first time. Really nice folks, really neat machines- old and new.

Give Main Street Amusements a try if you are a fan of pinball and coin operated games. They have quite a few pinball tables and some classic arcade games. My wife and I both had a great time. The games range from $.25 to $1.00 for the newer pinball games.

Man, this place is RAD! I intentionally used an 80s term because I felt like I had walked back into my childhood when I walked through the door. Pinball machines on both walls and classic arcade games in the middle. You are greeted by a Worlds Largest Pac-Man machine when you walk in the door. I'm more of a Galaga man myself so, I was really happy to see that it could also play Galaga. They also have a regular size Galaga and Ms Pac Man as well several other classic arcade titles. The pinball machines are

Went here for the first time tonight! What a great place to go! Not crowded for a Monday night. The games are all run on tokens. The token machine takes debit or cash (that was a plus for me) Now let's talk games! The had some really old school pin ball games, centipede, burger time, donkey Kong jr, galaga, and a bunch more! The coolest part is the huge screen arcade game that you can play pac man or Galaga on! Most games take 1 to 4 tokens. I think I found one pin ball that took 6. My recommendation is thi

Awesome pinball arcade.

Fun nostalgic place to go, reminds me of growing up in the 80s!

It was a busy night. Dan, the owner operator, was very attentive and friendly. Great selection of games. Loads of fun.

great little collection of pinball games but the extremely limited hours of operation borders on obnoxious. something like four hours a day for four days out of the week.

Such a fun place. There are so many pinball machines and retro arcade games in such a entertaining atmosphere. I'm so glad this place exists in the downtown Lafayette area.

They have a Funhouse, Spookys Total Nuclear Annihilation, and some old Bally Machines. The lighting creates a little too much glare, but that could be my eyes. Also, really like how the front door says "No Public Restroom," but this place has one of the cleanest "private" restrooms in town.

Awesome location to get your arcade fix. They have a great selection of pinball machines and classic arcades. It's always fun to spend some time there when downtown.

What a unique throwback experience. Every day is TBT (throwback Thursday here). My guilty pleasure movie is Demolition Man. One of my favorite pinballs machines is Demolition Man ... and it's here. If you enjoy pinball machines, this is the place for you to come when you visit here AND they have a small collection of throwback arcade machine here including the underrated classic Burger Time. Are you a geek? do you love pinballs machines? are you intrigued by seeing the owner working on pinballs machine? Mus

I never knew how much fun pinball could be before I started coming here. The owner is awesome for sharing his collection. Come get your ass kicked by a table.

monster bash and attack from mars are our favorites ??

Having lot of pin ball games is their characteristic, and it's fun! But they don't have as many (newer) shooting games.

Great little spot to teach kids how game like old school folks. Perfect location near shops and dining!

Great place for pinball enthusists! We had a private party for my son's birthday. All the kids had a blast!

Went here with family to check it out back when it first opened. So very cool to have Main Street Amusements here in town! It's special ??

If you're going to be closed on Fridays and Saturdays, you should update that on Google.

Fun time. Will be coming back. Highlight of my wifes birthday and after 10 years of marriage, you start running out of ideas locally lol

I love pinball. The token machine accepts credit cards. Every time I visit I don't spend much and I have a really great time!

The fun, and nostalgia are strong. Love this place. I take my son and he talks about it for days

A great place to have fun. many different pinball machines to play on and even some other games as well.

This place has a great selection of classic games and pinball machines. A must stop if you're in town.

A very fine establishment. Five stars.

Machines in good working order, and the prices on the old ones are a quarter! Newer games are 1.00 or 1.25. giant Pacman is $.50

Simply amazing. I've missed classic arcades and this one takes me back. If I lived locally I would come here whenever I could.

Fun place to hang out and play some games.

So much fun. I had no idea how involved pinball is. I spent $5 and about 40 minutes laughing and having tons of fun.

We love to play pinball here!

Great place. Awesome "old school" games. Step back in time.

Wow!!! What a time. I was no good at any of these games when I was a kid... and I am terrible still. Feels like 1982 all over again. Love it.

i only wish they were open on thursdays, too. I almost never get a chance to go because i work all weekend!

Great arcade, good selection of classic games and newer pinballs. Very well kept also.

Really cool hidden gem in Lafayette. Went for a scout fun night and will definitely be back.

Great place to play some retro and modern pinball ganes and some great classic arcade games!

Honestly pretty cool little place was pretty busy but fun and cheap

Plenty of cool machines but got 5 out of 8 tokens eaten by machines with no staff on duty to help

Oh my god, youth revisited... best time I have had in years.. old school pinball, GYRUSS, DEFENDER, PACMAN, MS PACMAN & THE LIST GOES ON....

Stayed there for hours and spent $25 and the whole family had fun.

cheap prices, good games. awesome past time experience to share with ur kids without spending a ton of money.

There was a few pinball machines I played as a kid.. Really fun to play them again

This place is great. I could go here every day and have fun.

Great place to play pinball, wish they had better hours.

Awesome arcade. Retro and new games. LOTS OF PINBALL. Can pay for games with an app on your phone.

Very relaxed atmosphere, great games, and a joyous time all around.

Wonderful place, great owner, takes you back in time! Great for all ages!

Family Guy pin ball machine is the bomb. Most fun playing doubles with a friend.

Love the variety of old and new machines! Always a good time on Main Street!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
