Thank you for letting me back into the arcade. All charges have been dropped Athos is now allowed to go back into the arcade on the count of his good behavior. he's no longer banned from the arcade. He now has permission to go back into the arcade just watch out for Sasha though don't even make eye contact however I can talk to Ziad and will sign a release form to let me back into the arcade anyways all charges have been dropped Athos Col?n is now allowed to go back into the arcade. Unfortunately, he cannot
Went for my best friends sons birthday party... Holy smokes, my husband and I had so much fun! Arcade games have improved so much since the last time I was in an arcade! We spent over 4 hours here and we still didn't get to do everything! Every person on staff that we encountered was polite, friendly, and helpful! Will definitely be coming here again!
The place is really cool. It is open and everything appeared to be in good working condition. My problem with this place is there is staff everywhere just standing around talking and goofing off. No one seems to actually work. We also were given no explanation of how pricing or anything worked. We purchased 1 hour of bowling and 3 games of mini golf. If we had known to ask for wrist bands it would have been a lot cheaper. Staff doesn't tell you that. They just offer a receipt with a tip line. Why am I goin
Compared to other cities, this Main event I feel is a bit overpriced. It was fun, it is one of very few spots for entertainment there is in Lubbock, overall the kids have a great time and that's what matters.
Super fun has bowling, mini golf, Lazer tag, arcade pool and a bar. Fun family friendly and great for date night!
Never again!!! almost $500 to have a birthday party here. Our ?Party host? was awful our table was in the middle of walk way. Our party was scheduled at 2:30 and we only had the party table for 1 hour. It took them 30 minutes to get our pre ordered pizza out to our table then our host did not help clear the table we had to find places for trash. I had to make several trips to the trash can across the room. The party host was very put off by the fact that we were opening gifts at the party rather than at hom
Came in to town from Hobbs New Mexico. This place is worth the drive. The food is good and well priced. The sampler was grate and the drinks were good. The bowling, arcades, pool tables and bowling are all great fair prices. My family of 6 had a great time here
I wanted to take a minute to express the amazing and unforgettable experience we had with Main Event on New Year?s Eve!!! We have spent New Years Eve with them for multiple years now but this year was an absolutely unforgettable experience!!! Sasha the manager went above and beyond to ensure my children, our friends and I had a night to remember!!! The Food was amazing the workers were accommodating and willing to help and of course the kiddos loved every minute of the night with something enjoyable for all
Place is pretty well kept and clean. Can't speak to pricing of games but it was hit and miss with food value. My nephews and nieces love the place. I will say it gets very loud and it's exhausting of you're not the one playing lol but staff was great
My daughter had her birthday party here and the staff were amazing!! They were very patient, friendly, and listened to the kids and mind you this was a bunch of pre-k kids!! Loved how they never seemed irritated and that they genuinely seemed to care/want to ensure my daughter and her guests were taken care of!! Definitely recommend having birthday parties here!!
Was in town for a soccer tournament, so I booked a bday party for my 14 yo and his friends. Start to finish, every one who helped plan and organize the party was great and communicated well. I couldn't have asked for a more gracious, organized attendant! She kept a wild pack of teenage boys taken care of, and I got to relax and enjoy my own food and drinks with the parents. We all had a great time! I'm so happy and impressed with this experience, thank you.
Very amazingly good food, the staff was very polite and generous at the bar and in the bowling area. The games and bowling were awesome me and my kids had a wonderful time. Will be going back for more fun and and good atmosphere fun!!!!!!!
Staff are all amazingly polite and very helpful!! Place is really creatively put together and finely organized. Food: cooks, make sure we customers are getting everything fresh. If something looks old, don't make us ask to get it replaced, even waitress should check food before it arrives to the table... but we Loved everything they offer. Perfect place for a family day. Great overall experience!
Wonderfully loud, fun, and entertaining. Laser Tag has been updated and the glowing mini golf has too. Games are always being updated and you get points through a card system that seems to be accurate and quick to add up. The prizes range from junk to cute pieces that kids like. Staff is okay, I can imagine that all the people and noise can get tiring so a grumpy employee every once in a while is fine.
Had my daughters birthday here the hostess was the best she made it work for us thank you
The sanitation wipe bins were empty in the arcade area. Air hockey, ski ball, and some other popular ones were available. The photo booth audio kept going on and off and it's a tight squeeze, not a lot of time to adjust the frame. More: There is not a rock climbing space at this location. They do have deals for the arcade.
Such a wonderful place for a little bit of family fun night. Well rounded array of different things to do for all ages groups so you don't get bored of only one after an hour or so. Employees are always extremely friendly, helpful, polite and some are down right hilarious and crazy fun. It's also a great place for couples, dates or singles to have fun and destress. Plus the place is kept clean even restrooms and is well managed. YOU WANT TO Bowl, play mini golf, play some laser tag, shoot pool, hit the arca
Experience fun all day right here for all ages! The challenge is up for a tournament whether pool table, bowling alleys, vr games, arcade or just be a couch potato in their bar! Lol! Super fun and indeed a happy place to go!
We really enjoyed our hour of bowling. The front staff was very nice and greeted us with a smile. They were very accommidating on helping us find our shoe sizes for bowling. The score keeper has lots of fun additives to help make bowling even more fun. They even have dragon assistors for the littles. We have come here for my older sons birthday and also had a great experience. They have a huge range of games for your children to play. It was a great time to be had.
It was very clean. Love the alligator slide to help the little 1. Liked how you can program who uses bumpers so you don't have to put them up the whole time or continuously put them up or down. Pizza was good, wings were amazing. Staff was fantastic. Play center was fun, also really loved the room for getting prizes. I was impressed. Thank you. We had a wonderful time
Bathroom was nasty. More of a adult experience. A lot of drunk people. We took my grandson for his birthday and he loves bowling. We bought the all access and we were limited on things so it was a waste of money.
Spent alot for 7 people to play, but had to wait 2 hrs for bowling. Decided to eat while we ate. Server told us they had no pretzel sticks and had been out all week. Yet the table next to us was sat and served after us. Server only checked on us one time. After waiting 2 hrs to bowl we got 4 frames in and they lost power. We were forced to leave, with no explanation about refund or replacement of pass. This was one of the worst times. I would not recommend. Do t wast your time... go to Amarillo. The drive w
We celebrated our daughter?s 12th birthday on Saturday and I was walked through what came with our party package. Our host Renee was great very attentive and took care of everything. Highly recommend this place.
The atmosphere is fun, some of the staff are friendly. My only issue was whenever I took my 3 year old daughter to the bathroom and it was TRASHED! We came out and I observed so many staff members standing around. As much money as we have spent here, DO BETTER Main Event!
We took a large group of teenagers here as part of a church camp. It was my first visit. The place was clean and nice-looking. Bowling lanes were well-maintained. They had a variety of ball weights available, and the shoes weren't gross like at most bowling alleys. Laser tag was fun, and the course was difficult enough that it made the game challenging. Equipment was clean and worked properly. Glow golf was also fun. The holes ranged from 2 to 3 par and there was a variety of decorations. Some were quite in
Overall experience wasn't horrible but definitely not good. Restrooms were the worst I ever seen. All but 1 toilet overflowing with feces and toilet paper everywhere. Absolutely disgusting and a serious health danger.
This was definitely a great place to go, took both my younger cousins and they had a blast, from teaching and improving bowling skill for both of them, to taking out another family at Lazer tag. There can always be more games but I wouldn't knock them down a star for that since what they had were top tier from their racing game like Mario Kart and Cruzing USA to their Virtual Reality (VR) games like Star Wars and Rabbids... We also played pool which we all were bad at and played some Foosball which happened
I had an awful experience here, for a place that preaches family friendly, they are far from it. A group of friends and I had went out to have a fun bowling night. When we ordered drinks they had told us they need to call a manager to look at my friend?s passport. Now i get they are just doing their job, but they had told us they didn't know if they could accept his India passport because ?its not a United States passport? They proceeded to call multiple people over and when we asked what the issue was and
Great for the whole family. A lot of fun! Sometimes we even go without the kids for date nights. My son had one of his birthday parties here as well, they offer great packages.
A very good place to be for recreation. Both adults and kids. I enjoyed my time there.
We bring our kids every time we are in Lubbock. Great bowling experience and enough age range on the games for our small children to have fun. The wait staff is quick and the food is not amazing but pretty good.
Celebrated the Army?s 248th Birthday on June 14th. Thank you Main Event for allowing us to celebrate with you all!!
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER VISITED LUBBOCK AND TO SEE A ?GENERAL MANAGER? HANDLE A CUSTOMER ISSUE THE WAY SHE DID?. I'm appalled SASH STARK DECIDED SHE COULDN?T WAIT FOR ME TO REVERSE PARK AND BARRELED BEHIND ME ALMOST HITTING MY VEHICLE WITH MY CHILDREN IN IT. She then acted as if an imaginary phone call was more important than addressing the situation at hand. I then commented on her driving skills (using not so nice words) and that's when she decided to kick me and my family out because of my use
Poor staff.. stood in line for laser tag for almost a hr then for them to tell us we got to wait another 15 minutes because a party group was going before us. Yes it's a party but I don't think that's really fair. Also I ordered some wings and found a hair on them. Unfortunately I won't waste my time or money here anymore.
We have so much fun here!!! Donuts are so good as well as the cheese sticks!!! Good family fun and lots to do!
Great time with our daughter! We did the "Yes Day" promotion. It was a great deal for us!
I had a bad experience with the wristband that they offer. They told me that we could play Laser Tag as many times as we wanted, but they DID NOT tell me that Birthday Parties have priority, so we went to play and wait for 15 minutes to get in the game, but the second time we were wating for 40 minutes because the Birthday groups kept getting priority (they have a special line for birthday groups). People from our line switched into the birthay party line and people that were coming out of the game got in
The games were all fun, but could not find anyone for help. We went to the front desk and had to return 10 minutes later because the person that was paged never showed.
Nice small location. I went here with my 7 year while waiting on some family. He had fun, but each time I tried to reload the card, none of the automated machines worked so I had to go to the desk. Also, several machines weren't working correctly and would allow a scan but not let him play. That is an expensive mistake when it happens several times on various games.
Very family fun experience. The even have table side services. Our food was really good and the kids had a great time
This place is fun, fun, fun. We have had both of my grandsons' birthdays here, and it was really fun. Highly recommend this for a party or just to have fun with friends and family. UPDATE: Had another birthday party here and it is the best place to have a kids party. What they include in their packages is a great deal compared to other places and the kids have a great time. The food is good quality and employees are great.
New to the area. Place is big on the outside, huge on the inside. Friendly people. Didn't do anything here just checked it out while I had a few moments to myself. And I felt happy there seeing all the neat stuff and atmosphere was great.
Wonderful experience for my daughters bday great food very clean and the games where very entertaining! Z took care of us & very professional
Best place to make your kids have fun all day! They enjoy playing mini golf, laser tag, snow bowling, playing arcade games and having variety of food to choose to eat! Best place for kids activities!
We've been here multiple times and have had a blast. The arcade games are a reasonable price. Most of the games we enjoyed playing cost us about $1 per game. We liked doing the all day pass but it can be frustrating when the wait times for everything are long. I'd recommend putting your name in for bowling and then going and doing another activity until a lane is available. Only thing we don't like about here is that the bowling pins are held up by strings. It seems to need more force to knock pins over com
Had a blast! This place is so worth it. If you get the pass, you get to do so much. As a workaholic and student this definitely is a stress relief. We also had a an EMT and firefighter who sees more than his share of trauma and I actually got to see him having fun. I would highly recommend this place and believe me when I say this. You won't be disappointed.
I liked the automatic bumpers in the bowling alley. It makes it much more fun to play together. I did not enjoy how overcrowded/loud it was. The games were very expensive and there did not seem to be much for the under 5 kids. I probably wouldn't take my family there again untill my children are older as I did not feel the cost was worth experience.
My co-workers and I came to Main Event for a corporate event. We had an amazing time. Everyone had a blast. The service was excellent, food was great, and the games were very entertaining.
Fabulous fun at this Main Event in Lubbock, Many pool table's, glow golf, bowling, laser tag & arcade! Great place for family fun!
Ok so I do a lot of reviews, as a business owner I know how it can affect your business. We came in from 6 hours away and planned on enjoying our time. Unfortunately, I have a really bad knee and needs replacing, I requested the tables be moved, was told no. I moved them to an area and a guy walked up and got really nasty with me. I apologized and told him I was handicapped and required more room. He said I don't care you're going to move those tables yourself and nobody is going to help you. He did get ver
Great food, lots of fun, my grandson had the best time, definitely get the fun pass. Undergoing remodeling currently, and prices have increased on passes.
We love this place! We come here for all of our holiday events and the people are very kind! Z is a great manager and we appreciated his service
Great service the manager was very very nice I enjoyed my visit I forgot the manager name he wear black glasses he was there on my visit on Monday around 1pm he was amazing ??
Great job to the staff here. We paid $11 each to have an arm band which allowed us access to everything until close. We bowled a bit and ordered chips and salsa. Our server was perfect ! He was knowledgable on the menu and prompt as well as attentive. Although this location is a bit smaller than the ones in dallas still a great time.
great service on games and others and the food was decent but i said i would come back for the ice cream and said but the just gave it to me than after eating it found this
I had a fun time with my friends 10/10 hangout spot!
It just came out for my son's Birthday I was immediately impressed and why the size of the building the amount of games it had. Plus the variety. It doesn't make me feel stuck next to strangers or anything like that, we're having a great time. I have my first interaction with the staff at the so-called family kitchen. The hostess was rude and terrible. Didn't communicate well. Just stared at me and the bartenders we're not friendly at all. If I wouldn't have interacted with any of the staff, I would have gi
Not terrible, be prepared to spend about $60-$200 for a family of 4 for a day trip. It's 50/50 on the customer service you receive. So workers are kind while others appear to hate their job. The arcade, bowling, and golf are fun.
Brought my kiddos here for a fun weekend getaway. So happy I did and we will be back! Food was great, service was amazing. Our server was so sweet and accommodating. George was awesome, checked on us and made sure we were happy more than once. I highly recommend ??
Fun evening of bowling, shooting pool and video games. Family and I spent over 5 hrs. Great drinks and must try the loaded fries.
Our party hostess Ashley was awesome! She was very attentive and answered any questions we had. She was very knowledgeable. The party package we got was worth it! Food was good. Only thing was the adults didn't really have anywhere to sit while the kids bowled. Either had to sit in the pizza restaurant or the bar area away from the party.
I don't leave reviews often enough but this trip deserved one all the way around. The new restaurant area looks amazing. The booths, chairs and tables give it a totally different look. The huge TV Projectors are super clear and visible from any area of the restaurant. The manager on duty, Charles, was fantastic and the entire server staff needs to be complimented. Amazing service the food was good and our experience was honestly 5 Star. Thank you for the great time we had and we will be back.
Went there to take my kids bowling. We liked it so much we will be having a birthday party there next week
Family and I had a great time. The wait for bowling was 2 and a half hours but it was a Saturday night. Other than that, we enjoyed it.
We bought the all day passes, they have 15 open lanes but cut our game off and wouldn't allow us to finish after a two hour wait!
I like bringing my family here when we can come. My lil boy LOVES it!
Wow! What a great place to go. Take your kids and let them play video games you can bowl. They have food and ice cream and icees and sodas tea. Just about anything you can think of. I do have to compliment them on how clean the place was. Even though kids are running amok they kept this space spotless. Only come back. We'll have to try the bowling looks like fun!. There are plenty of video games here for kids to keep busy for maybe 2 hours. Looks like they also have laser tag here. So fun!
If you want to have a great family night out, Main Event is a great place to go! The games are good and the food is better! Also, they have awesome staff! One of the managers, Charles Landry, was so nice and courteous! His personal attention to me and my guest were awesome! Will definitely be back
Had a really great time with my girls after the loss of my husband. The baby girl and myself were in a depressed mode so I took us to go bowling and get out of the house and make some happy memories and have fun. We definitely did have fun.
Had a great time with our family for my daughter?s birthday! Z Was very helpful. Great atmosphere and very clean. The food was delicious.
I took my family for a little bowling and arcade games and we were super surprised of how far Main Event has gone! The staff is amazing. The food was great and my kids loved being there. Overall, I strongly recommend this place.
The Shirley temples were delicious! The staff is sooo much more kind!!!
The drinks were mid at best. Samantha the bartender was rude and unprofessional
Ordered drinks, and they said it was unlimited refills. After 1 refill, I did not get asked if I wanted another. After 30 minutes or more I brought it to someone's attention and they did nothing, finally the person who took out order the first tine finally showed back up, mentioned it to them and they got the order in but, they brought the wrong drink then after another 15 minutes they finally got my drink right. Good place, bad service
Main Event exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, Renee and Zeke?s exceptional service made our experience unforgettable. Their friendly demeanor truly set the tone for the evening. We'll definitely be returning, thanks to Renee and the Main Event team for a fantastic evening!
It was my first time there and it was awesome and the staff was very very nice
O my this place is amazing i would recommend them to anyone. When we walked in they were so professional and friendly the service was amazing, food was A LOT and tasted good and they made sure that we were having a good time. If we ever go that side again we will DEFINITELY go again was such a treat. From the South African family
Great place to play bowling, and they have good snacks. The laser tag is a bit small but still fun. It accommodates ~20 people per party
Lots of things to do. Glow Bowling, glow in the dark golf, laser tag, 3 vr games, pool tables, shuffle board, lots of video games, a bar, snack bars. Went there for my daughter's birthday and had lots of fun.
I waited 30 mins to bowl got here earlier in The day so no biggie. I got a margarita flight a beer, fried pickles and cheese sticks. It was taking for ever after about 20 mins I asked about it apparently they burned the fried pickles so they would be out shortly. Another 20 mins goes by after you are only allowed 1 hr to bowl. I then ask again about my order and Nikolas informed me it must have gone to the wrong table! This place is ridiculous. It makes you wonder if that's really what happened and why. I t
As I'm playing on one of the machines I get the bonus tickets and the machine is about to pay out the tickets and an employee comes in and turns off the machine on me. I was like I'm playing and I just got the bonus she was like I'm sorry I don't know. I told the manager and he says OK I'll take care of it. He didn't offer to get me points or didn't even get a refund. It was a bad experience for me today.
There are plenty of games to enjoy and have a great time with friends.
The bartenders were RUDE. We will not go back to this place. People should enjoy the type of job they choose & if not look for something else. No excuse or room for a bad attitude where ever one work's. A great place we enjoy is Texas Roadhouse, their staff always have smiles & friendly. Their service & attitude is AWESOME! 08/20/23 From the reviews I've read looks like management needs to enforce better manners to their staff & how to be a lot more courteous to customers, after all customers are the bread
Lotta fun. No prices on the ticket shop and I was told it was intentional. Other than that nice place good fun prepare to spend a little money.
The parking lot speed bumps are way too high even when going slow dented my exhaust pipe smh ridiculous
Charles and Gary are spectacular! We really had a blast! Will definitely be back and tell everyone we know to come here! Fun for all ages! Thank y?all for all you do to make us customers 100% satisfied!
We came in to celebrate a friend?s birthday. Our waitress was Renee and honestly, it wasn't a great experience. There was hardly anyone in dining, but she didn't come to check on us or get us refills. I had to go and ask staff to send our waitress over so we could get refills and condiments, and she ignored half the table. Our food was cold before we got our condiments, sides and we never got refills. We waited for 40 minutes before we again had to go find her to get our checks. They (staff) were all congre
Excellent service and food! Z was very helpful and made sure that our group was taken care of!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
