We recently celebrated my daughter's 7th birthday at Main Event, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! The highlight of the party was undoubtedly Mari, our attendant, who went above and beyond to make the day truly special. Mari?s warmth and enthusiasm set the tone for the party. She took drink orders from the kids with a smile and engaged with Caroline in such a sweet and personal way, asking thoughtful questions about her birthday theme and making her feel like the star of the day. He
I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to have both kid fun and adult fun! It all started as soon as we walked through the door when a nice woman, Buffy, greeted us and helped us get checked in and to pick the right packages for all of us. She gave us a tour and answered all of our questions. Her recommendations were awesome! We had so much fun with our grandkids today. I was thinking it was going to be a nightmare kind of a day like all the other ?arcade pizza places?, boy was I wrong! I hav
It's was an awesome first-time experience. My boyfriend friend and I blast. We went bowling, and the appetizers were excellent. We got the fried pickles and fried mozzarella sticks. Hightly recommended both.. we play some arcade games..
Great place to take your family for a fun filled day. Many games for the whole family, as long as you like games. If your not a gamer type, take a seat in the bar area for a relaxed fun atmosphere.
Me and my 2 boys had a blast I definitely recommend this place for anyone to bring there kids and if they love gaming your definitely in the right place no need to think twice about this one just get here have some fun for a couple of hours the games are a very fair price
Very Enjoyable. There are so many games to choose from. Great for kids and adults. Very nice bar to enjoy some drinks while playing some games. I love the carnival games and the connect 4 basketball is my favorite. I'm very competitive so when I play, I play to win LOL. Also very nice to have the rechargeable game card and points that you can use to buy all sorts of things and sweets at their store.
I brought my new wife to the venue the day after our wedding for her big celebration. While some things didn't go according to plan with our guests, one of the operations managers (unfortunately I didn't catch her name) noticed that the day wasn't going as expected. She stepped in with kindness and helped us turn things around, making a huge difference for my wife. Because of that amazing support, we now plan to stop by at least once a month to enjoy some arcade games. Big thanks to your awesome staff and t
10/10, from the moment we walked in (Alicia) who worked the entrance and kiosk was AMAZING. She had such a good personality and was so helpful to our family. Our waitress (don't know her name) blonde hair, young with glasses working on 4/3/25, was also amazing! Attentive and got our orders right with such a large party. Even the girls at the winnings desk was great (amber and another girl, sorry I forgot her name) We been before but this time I had to leave a review! Thank you all for such great service!
Enjoyed having lunch at the main event. First visit, and it was pleasant. I was greeted and seated right away. The waitress was super friendly and helpful. The food was good. I would definitely visit again. 5 ?'s!
Had a great time with my family. We've been to other family fun centers in Lexington, and this one definitely felt like a nicer environment. The family pass was cheaper than others in the area; the food was better than I expected, and the events were unique. Laser tag was MUCH better than other family fun centers in the area. The rope course was a ton of fun once you got the hang of it, even if you're scared of heights. The arcade was great but like other arcades in the area, your money doesn't go far.
We did eat and it was actually really great, but I'm here to compliment Stephen and Eliana who helped encourage my son to do the ropes course. We literally came to Main Event tonight because he's been begging to come back to do that attraction. You guys were so patient and kind. Just wanted to say thank you. Also, Main Event is nice and clean, which is saying a lot for a place that caters to so many people! Thank you for a great evening!
Started out rough?we waited 10 mins on a manager for our discount (understandable, not a complaint, just noted) once I paid it didn't load my card. Overall we spent about 20 mins to get started. After we got started, it was awesome! My son has tried to do the gravity ropes 3 times and always got scared and backed out. Alleyha was AWESOME!!!! She went above and beyond to walk my son through all of the gravity ropes for the first time ever! The manager Alesha was also great! She helped us several times.
This day I visited this location visiting family! I brought my grandkids here for a day of fun and adventure! They had an absolutely amazing time! Lamar who was the host at the kiosk was absolutely amazing! He helped me and my grandkids at the kiosks and check on us throughout our visit! Fantastic service representative for your organization! My grandkids had a blast!
3/15/25 Came here for birthday fun and had a terrible experience. Our bowling lane wouldn't detect any plays and when we asked for help we got someone with an attitude that just fixed it without telling us how (It ended up happening again). We had bumpers on for one person and every time it was her turn it would foul her for extreme speed. We had to ask for help four times because of this and was told there's nothing they can do about it. We didn't even know we could order food from the lane because there
There's many layers to this place. The restaurant inside the building is amazing. It's pricey, but it is extremely tasty food. We were very impressed. The games were a lot of fun and I don't think they required too many credits to play. They have a rope climb that isn't too intimidating, laser tag, and lots of bowling lanes. You could spend most of the day here if you wanted to spend time playing everything, and eating a meal. There was little to no service inside. If you need help, just find someone with a
Pretty awful experience all around. Came in not knowing how to get a bowling alley, was greatest with overwhelming noise and kiosks to reserve bowling and game cards. Kiosk said no wait, we waited a half hour for a lane. Then after waiting a half hour for a lane we had unsupervised kids stacked on top of us who kept walking on the lanes and down our lane. Just awful experience top to bottom. First and last time I come to this place.
This place has so much potential, but just clearly does not take the time to hire people that want to work (also machines do not work). They have 1-2 workers that bust their hump, but the rest just sit at the bar and don't move a muscle. Games are fun, but totally rigged - they say you win 400+ tickets but then only 50 are actually loaded onto your card. If you go, just expect to get ripped off
Food was yummy! Service was excellent, me and my husband went bowling and the waiters bring your food/drinks up to you while you're bowling which is amazing! Bowling for an hour was so fun, you get to choose from different game modes- we chose hyperbowl! Highly recommend
I like the food and it's a great atmosphere. I had to flag down my server three or four times and she never came to checked on the table otherwise (very slow day). I tipped but honestly it wasn't for the service, I will not be coming back.
I recently visited Main Event in Lexington, and I have to say, my experience left a lot to be desired. While the venue itself was clean and well-maintained, I was sorely disappointed by the unhelpful and unfriendly staff. Upon entering the facility, I expected a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the staff seemed disinterested and indifferent. I encountered several employees who appeared to be more interested in their own conversations than assisting customers. It was quite disheartening to feel
I honestly don't know why this place has only a three star rating. I've had parties at Malibu jacks and the roller rink in Danville and the Main event has been by far the BEST. Our party hostess Mar was very attentive and helpful. They helped us set up, clean up and assisted anyway they could. It made it soooo much easier when usually the other places rushed us with minimal assistance. Even the manager came out to talk to us and let us know if we needed anything. The parents who attended said the party was
NEVER TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!! We had the worst experience ever... let me explain! My son was on the ropes at the top of the roof line and was having a full on PANIC attack. Tried to get the 2 associates attention to get him down and they were paying no attention to any of the kids! So me noticing my son in serious distress I climbed the flight of stairs to get my son where I get yelled at by CURT GLASGOW to get down and they are gonna throw me and my family out bc I went up the stairs to get my son!! He is so
Alisha who greeted us was a great help!! The sky walker girls Samantha and Aliyah were so good to my kids! Definitely coming back here!
I came in based on the reviews of the food. We tried the fried chicken sandwich and the tenders. I'll go ahead and get the food review out of the way since it was the best part of the experience. The chicken tenders are just ok. Honestly I would rather have Popeyes tenders because there is definitely a lack of flavor in these. They were cooked to perfection, and had a balance of crunch on the outside and tender on the inside. With a little work these tenders could be a big deal. The fried chicken sandwich
Overall amazing! The arcade games are expansive and tons of fun, the laser tag is unmatched, and bowling is always fun. There are only 2 issues to speak of, but probably only arose because I was visiting as a school trip, and not myself. Billiards was behind the bar doors, and we couldn't access it, which sucked, because I wanted to destroy my friends, but only a minor inconvenience. Second, there weren't a ton of bowling lanes open. We went on a Friday morning. Not a lot of people were there besides us, bu
Found a deal where we got $20 worth of game credits with purchase of $20 just from browsing their website. All games seemed to be working, with just a couple that had one of the players out of order. The skee ball machines are cool. They don't have DDR, but at least they have pump it up. Also, the bar gave us complimentary ice water which was very nice. We only did the arcade portion, but the other activities seem really fun and we're looking forward to coming back!
I was very disappointed with this place. When we got here needed help on the kiosk cuz it's first time going, we got her armbands decided everything and went to play. After a little while we decided to have dinner because we were waiting for a bowling lane to open up. I had to find an attendant to seat us, once we were seated we ordered and about 35 minutes later our bowling lane had came up(the only thing we received at this time was our drinks). Again I had to find someone to ask them if it was okay to go
The best in town staff is so awesome and the manager Daniel and Steven are definitely a very important asset to the team. Thanks. Guys for always being kind to our family
I came here after I got married and also regularly go for double dates! It's like an adult Gattitown and I love it so much. I've played pool and all of the other games like laser tag and ski ball. I actually loved bowling and the service from Kendall and Brooke was so awesome ?? my favorite weekend activity
We had brought our three kids to play we bought the $25.00 all you can play activities but when our kids tried to play the games they were told they couldn't and it was only on certain games. It's misleading and should specify what games are included in the $25 instead of it saying all activities. We tried to talk to a worker about it and she was very rude and short with us when we just trying to figure it out. Not so friendly staff and rude. For our first time coming here and the way it was handled was unc
I recently visited Main Event in Lexington, Kentucky, and overall, had an amazing experience! The facility is top-notch?clean, well-maintained, and full of fun activities for all ages. The manager was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is energetic and family-friendly, with something for everyone, from bowling to arcade games and even laser tag. However, I did have a negative experience in the laser tag area. While the game itself was a blast, one of
Great place to spend time with the family
The food was okay but Dani made the experience amazing. I would come back just for her. She's a sweetheart!
Main Event totally delivered! Marqui$e was the VIP host for bowling and kept things running smooth without hovering?perfect for me since I just wanted to kick back and watch some football. Steven held it down in laser tag, making sure the kids had a blast while I stayed hands-off (which is exactly my vibe). The kiosk setup was clutch?super quick and easy to book everything. Props to the team for making it all so effortless. Definitely coming back for more chill days like this!
Bowling is like gym class. The pins were on a string. A bit cringe for me but good enough for family bowling and was EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE for bowling on a string. Food was like bowling alley food but slightly more expensive... Personally won't be back. Honestly felt the place was crazy expensive for what you get out of it.
I'm not usually one to write reviews, but this was by far the best experience I've had in a while, from the food to the service to the games. Extremely fast service, our food seems like it was ready in 30 seconds and it tastes great!!! We had a great time bowling and also a great time in laser tag. There was one person that stood out to me I wasn't able to get their name but she was all around the building from bringing the food to our family to helping us with a game of laser tag to checking our cards and
After a rainstorm wiped out our plans for a pool party at the very last minute, the Main Event saved my son?s 8th birthday! We were so sad to see the weather fell through for birthday plans and called the Main Event on a whim to see if there was a chance they would accommodate our party at the last minute. Without hesitation, they welcomed us with open arms to show up with balloons, cake and decorations for a ?walk in? birthday event to remember! Basically, anyone is welcome to do this and just enjoy the
Lindsey was super helpful from the minute that we walked in. Explained everything so well, we got the Monday night madness package and got to do every activity for 12.99 a person! Super helpful Lindsey thank you!
Went there Sunday and played some of the arcade games. Nothing special about it. Didn't have the chance for bowling or laser tag but looks fun. The place is nice in general. It's clean, specious, well organized, and family friendly. The only thing I didn't like is when I entered the place, there were like 3 employees standing and talking to each other, and not giving any consideration to the customers coming in and not knowing how it works there. They are supposed to welcome the customers and show them how
We hosted a party here on a Sunday afternoon after winning a party package at a charity event. The host was great and everyone was so kind!! There was a miscommunication on our part and they were quick to help us out. We will be back! Pizza and drinks were good.
We booked our daughter's 7th birthday party here, not knowing what it was even like because we had never been before. We had the best service and host for her party, and it was very kid friendly, and the party prices are amazing!! We will definitely be returning and booking more parties!!
Good place to spend some family time and some disposable income. Awesome first-time experience with my wife and 11-year-old daughter. We were greeted by Daniel, the MOD who was very approachable and personable. He took the time to explain how the facility was laid out and operated, which made us feel validated as new guests and talked us through the questions I posed. It made our first impression a good one. We spent time walking through the facility and checking out the arcade games, which most, if not all
This was my first experience at Main Event's entertainment spot. I must say, this place is "Da Bomb!" ?? Today was my birthday, I turned 30 for the 9th time (7/4). I wanted to do something that would be entertaining to my children, but also something I felt like the adults would enjoy, too. We came to town planning on going to Malibu Jacks until I saw the Main Event Logo while we were waiting at the light. It was already 4:30 pm, and Jacks closed at 7 pm, only giving us a few hours to enjoy (rush around).
The games are a little pricey. There is a ropes course it is reasonably priced. The restaurant and bar frequently are not staffed well enough. The snack bar is frequently not open. The staff that greet you at the front door is very friendly and helpful. When you are able to get food it is always good. They're desserts are great. They are just needing to hire more staff in the restaurants.
10/10 experience I've been hear for birthdays and outings and no other event place has come close Amazon experience I highly recommend for your next gathering
Was considering going to Dave & Buster's but were meeting friends that live in Nicholasville & friend suggested Main Event. We had never been to Main Event so decided to give it a try. The restaurant has very little food options to choose from. We got the "loaded fries" that had barely any cheese or bacon on them. The burgers and pizza were okay. The parmesan brussels bites were barely cooked. The server was super nice though- so that was a plus. For the activities, we signed up for a bowling lane and proce
Nick, Marquise, Xavier are amazing!! It was my child?s first time at Main Event and he absolutely loved it!! Highly recommend ????
Extremely clean, great new menu with a huge variety of items, and my son loves the games and adventure course. Very friendly staff.
Food is okay, but definitely not why you go to the Main Event. The kids had a good time, and the cost is comparable to others in the area. Do wish the party area wasn't so close to other people celebrating. You're literally bumping into other parry guests trying to serve kids and do gifts. Recommended
The most terrible birthday experience we have ever had. From the non attentive ?server? to the manager who demanded we settle up while my son was opening presents!! We all helped ourselves to the soda machine passing at least a half dozen servers. The server couldn't take the plates fast enough even with food still being worked on by guests! I couldn't recommend you NOT book a party! I decide def to come back and give ME another shot, they will absolutely not help you if you lose your card! Get a receipt
The staff was really cool I mean here's 23 men that use to be homeless out for our first time sober and everyone treated us with respect
My son is 36 and has autism and loves to play games. He had the time of his life. We live 4 hours away and come to Drs appointments. I enjoyed an evening if having fun and just being us. We all had the chicken sandwiches and they were so delicious. We will definitely be back. We try to have some experience when we come and try new places. We truly enjoyed this. I use a crutch and an electric wheelchair and I was able to enjoy it just as much as they did.josh and all of the staff were extremely nice and help
Didn't get to do the rope corse even with all access wristbands they closed the rope course 30 minutes early and tried to refuse us laser tag because they closed it an hour early. Other than the actual employees that work the floor the place is awesome. Just be ready to argue to get to use your all access passes. They close the kiosk to reload your cards 45 minutes before they close other than trying to cheat you on wristbands this place is really awesome.
Teenagers really enjoyed the birthday party.
I can see why it was so empty, that was an abysmal experience. First time there and won't be back anytime soon. Fubar, not worth the paragraphs of review this place deserves.
Games were fun, staff needs work. Maybe it is just me, but I find it unprofessional to have your waiters and waitresses to select their own tip and hand me back the card reader for signature. The customer selects the tip amount and then signs. The server should not be selecting what they feel they deserve. Update: Came here May 6th to watch the Kentucky Derby, or anything really, while we eat. Instead of sports, they select info commercials for our viewing pleasure. Also, I have never been to a restaurant
This is my first time here, we're here today celebrating my mother?s birthday. So far, so good. Very clean and I love the fact there's not kids runny around loose. Our waiter Nori was very patient with our families ordering, there were quite a few of us. We'll be back for more celebrations for sure!
Witnessed a bunch of school kids getting harassed by an employee! You could tell she just hated her job! Just all around not a good look for a business
Ordered three high noons and all were flat/skunked. Manager threatened to charge me for all three if I didn't like the third drink and was extremely rude and miserable.
Food was delicious service was wonderful very friendly employees. I enjoyed every moment of it very calming compared to the environment. Will definitely come back for some more fun !
Came here for a work event. Our group was really small but we were still cared for as if we were a big group. Joe, the manager, was very helpful, professional, and friendly. Would definitely come here again!
All games are paid for by credits on a card not coins. Only has one classic arcade games it listed pac-man. But screen was at least 8 foot tall and controls we like 3 feet away from it. You can't see all of the screen at same time being so close. Does not have other classic games web site listed.
One of the manger was really nice and amazing an there food is amazing also amazing customer service
We stopped for dinner tonight and to enjoy some games with the kids. We were seated at the restaurant by the Operations Manager and 20 minutes went by before our server even acknowledged that we were sitting there. The restaurant had maybe 4 occupied tables and a few folks sitting at the bar. The server finally came after we got up and asked when someone would be serving us. We ordered drinks which took another 20 minutes, then the server comes over with a drink order that didn't belong to our table and
The place is great but the service is terrible. Did the all day bowling was told to go to the desk to get put in the system go to our lane and they would bring our shoes to us people coming in after us was having their shoes brought before us had to go back to the desk and request our shoes the woman that took our food order got everything wrong added extra stuff to our ticket that we did not order because she couldn't hear almost an hour later before we even got our food order taken, our drinks were watere
I was able to make a reservation for bowling online for my boyfriend?s birthday with ease! We sat and ate, they even allowed us to bring in a cake without reserving a party room! The food was delicious and we had a great time with friends celebrating.
Had a company event here, and it was a hit! The team loved the atmosphere, and there was plenty to do, so no one was excluded. The pricing was good considering how many people we brought and how much fun they had. Not a single thing in that place was out of order, and I find that to be rare in giant prize arcades. We even got a bowling pin with our logo printed as a keepsake for the event. 10/10 will do it again.
Food was great, reccomend burgers and pizza. Lots of fun games and bowling.
Very fun! I throughly enjoyed my lil cousin birthday party here. While the atmosphere was a tad chaotic it allows me to bring out my wild and free childlike personality. My absolute favorite part was watching a small child zip around the facility like he was a burlap bag of beans. This place is a safe way for me to feed my crippling gambling addiction in a healthy way. Here I come coin slots! Here I come free 30 minute fun card.
Had the absolute worst service ever here last night. The server was not only terrible at her job, she also had the worst attitude. (Until it was time to pay of course) we waited 30 minutes to see anyone, then I found her, waited an hour for 3 fountain drinks and that was after a 45 minute wait for our food, that was cold. I ordered a cheeseburger that was delivered 20 minutes after the rest of our food. Service was terrible, cheeseburger was good. We will never be back. Which is a shame because when it fir
Went to bowl fun time great lanes. Slow weekday night and being the first time at a Main Event would have been nice greeted at the door. But instead it was like a free-for-all and figuring out things on our own. The staff never greeted us. Trying to figure out how to pay we were not helped when it wouldn't take the card. And although it was supposed to be an all day pass it ended after an hour. With no one to help us figure why it just stopped. Such potential but staff interaction is a must.
There's currently a 4 hour wait for bowling, laser tag, etc. We ended up just buying the fun passes to play the arcade games but most of the games even have a wait. We haven't played any of the games. Currently drinking overpriced drinks, waiting on overpriced food and then probably finding something else to do. It does look fun though.
We came with visiting family on a Monday night and did the all-you-can-play activities and had a blast! The people/service was great. We did so much in the time that we were there. Will definitely be back!
The first time I went was on June 26,2024 my children and I stayed for about four or five hours and enjoyed the bowling, laser tag and the arcade games. The food was good. Had a good time. The claw machine cheats you out of the Big stuffed animals and the big tickets.
First time at Main Event. The staff members were very friendly and helped at the kiosk. The food was really good, and the kids had a blast. Highly recommend for a family outing.
My first time visiting. Brought my nephew for his birthday. He enjoyed everything. The best part for me was my waitress Jessica. Excellent customer service. She exhibits wonderful hospitality. The food was good as well. Jessica made everything great. ??
We had a great time! The games were in good shape, and there are lots of options for things to do. We had a hard time finding employees for bowling check-in and other activities. Bartender was kind but mixed drinks were weak.
Super clean with a variety of fun games for kids of all ages
Caroline Dollar is a great sales manager, known for her strong leadership and ability to recognize talent. She not only excels in driving sales and ensuring the success of her team but also demonstrates a genuine commitment to creating opportunities for others.
The chicken strips and fries r incredible and the atmosphere definitely gives off really good vibes
I had a great time with the children and the staff were so kind
Dining service was very slow and unorganized. We got our food before our drinks or appetizers arrived. I personally had to get my own silverware and management was not responsive to my table or the table beside us when we raised our concerns.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. I brought my family for a fun day off of school and we had a blast! I highly recommend.
Big buck hunter, skee ball, and one side of King Kong are broken and don't work. Food is good
We had a wonderful meal and a great time! Service at the restaurant was excellent. Very clean facility and everyone was very helpful and friendly.
Today is the first time I come. It's so fun. I enjoyed.
Great place to have fun with your family and friends??
Me, my father and my 4 year old came there Saturday evening for the first time, we usually took my son to Chuck E. Cheese but they're really small and expensive for what little they have. So we wanted to try Main Event out and it was amazing. We ate in the restaurant inside and our server Danny was awesome, kept our drinks refilled, He knew about everything on the menu!! We loved the pizza he suggested. This is where we will come from now on!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
