Customer Reviews

We had a last minute change from one Main Event to This one on Grapevine and the staff was INCREDIBLE! We brought 60 people in at the last minute and they worked hard to make it an amazing event. Steve, the manager is the BEST! And his staff, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Shanda and Jacob are were amazing! I highly recommend this Main Event to everyone-you and your guests will have a blast and get the best service possible! Thank you Main Event at Grapevine!

We had 50 customers in town and chose Main Event Grapevine as our networking activity. 1. Because of their responsivness. From obtaining a quote to the evening of the event...THEY WERE AWESOME! 2. They went above and beyond to make sure our customers had an amazimg time. Julia Johnson, Steven Hutch, Gabby, and so many others behind the scenes, behind the bar, behind the service desk, and the kitchen. Atmosphere was great, food was fresh and tasty (Go with the MVP Fuego Flavor), and fun evening challen

Great place to go. But can be a bit pricey on the weekends. Recommend a weekday better for pricing.

I am a laser tag ts god and all shall fear me if I step into your battlefield.... "You just got lucky, I believed your deadly lies, she said you just got lucky, your the devil in disguise"- Dokken

Great place for family time. My 5 year old absolutely loved it! There's so many things to do. So many games to play. The only bad thing was the food. The loaded nachos came to our tables super cold like it had been sitting there for a long time. Other than that everything else went great. ?? accessibility available.

Wanted to go play some games with friends and got to this location around 12am. We were told a server would come to our lane (we were bowling) nobody ever approached us. It sucks we couldn't order food and due to the fact nobody asked us if we wanted anything to drink we didn't get anything either. It's seems as if they were just trying to close everything g down early even tho they closed at 2am. After bowling we played some pool. Overall love main even just wish we got better service and opportunity to ea

????? We've had such a great experience at Main Event Bowling Center! With kids who love to bowl, this place has been a hit for us. We purchased the Kids Bowl Free pass, which ran from summer until Halloween, and it was absolutely worth it. The center is super clean, well air-conditioned, and has a friendly vibe. The pizza is surprisingly good?definitely better than what you'd expect at a bowling alley. If you're looking for a spot where your kids can have fun and you can relax, Main Event is a hidden gem.

Had been here to celebrate a birthday. The booking process was seamless for a group of 10 , we did the 3 hour unlimited pass + laser tag and included the VR games too. The hostess was amazing and the service spot on. They did manage the kids and their expectations well, the we had brought our cake and the hostess did help with setting up , cleaning and managing the group. The space was clean, games had variety including the normal arcade games and some new ones. Kids had a lot of fun. Tried some food at the

Cashier was rude, she put us where there was crowded even though several other lanes were open. I asked politely but her response was so rude like I was asking for free stuff. I guess she was upset in her personal life.

The atmosphere is fine, serves it's purpose. But when a place is this expensive, you expect good, friendly service. DECENT service at minimum. The service is horrendous, 0 stars. We stood at the bar for about 5 min, bartenders around us, never greeting us, never said a word at all. I'm all about waiting my turn, not the issue at all. But shouldn't you at least greet someone?? Same in the line for the pizza place. Stood there, waiting. Staff all around flat out ignored us. Ignored us! Someone else walked ri

Just went there today 5/25/25 went for some bowling, and during that had one of the employees walk up to us and ask if we wanted to order any food, we were still mid-game so she asked us if we wanted her to come back in a bit and we said yes, she never came back, we actually ran 4 entire games and she not once came over. We then wanted to go eat so we stood at the podium where it says "please wait host will sit you" and continued to wait for an entire 5-6 minutes so we went and moved to go play billiards, a

We were early morning, so, very quiet and didn't eat. Otherwise has fun. Clean and well maintained.

Celebrated my 52nd birthday at Main Event in Grapevine. We had a great time. Lexi, our waiter was the best! The manager gave me a cute little birthday bear. The slider and appetizer tray was delicious. ?? drink flight was yummy, but needed an extra shot. Bowling prices were pretty good. We will definitely go again.

My boyfriend and I came on 5/25. Someone came up to us while we were bowling and asked if we wanted to order any food. We said we needed a minute, she said she'd come back to us. She never did. After we finished bowling, we went to the host stand to be seated, cause that's what it said to do. No one was there, we even saw the same woman that approached us while blowing just at the bar chitchatting on her phone. We then played some pool and left. Not the greatest experience, they should do better.

Broken equipment, balls were missing chunks out of them and the roaches were everywhere! Disgusting!

Yall this place sucks only because I wanted to bowl and half of the lanes were shut down. I still enjoyed the arcade, but what I really enjoyed was Darleen service. My friends and I were extremely impressed at the quality of her service. She was calm and organized and super funny. She rocks main event she's the best employee there!

We enjoyed a nice couples night out. Service- Everyone was polite and helpful. I especially enjoyed the cleanliness and mostly chill/respectful environment.

We read a lot of 5 star reviews but there were 2 one-star reviews that were so bad it made us think the good reviews must have been fake. We came anyway and we had a GREAT experience. We got a great deal on food and gameplay (they have combos where basically you get the food free if you spend $50 on games). The hostess Natalia and the manager Shelby went above and beyond for us! Also the burger was really really good and the soft drinks were on point! Definitely come here!

The laser tag person made my son -200 points for running! It was ridiculous, there were only three of us in there and this lady just stood there docking points!! don't play laser tag at main event!!! And they took forever making us Oreo milkshakes and there was literally no customers there. Terrible service And the pretzels were not good. They tasted sooooooooo gross

The customer service was NOT up to par today when I called for help on an issue per my son being there at the time of the matter. Listen if you cannot handle the job described?? Do not fake it, I can tolerate some matters you just can not handle but speak to in a manner where you have some damn sense!.

had a wonderful time with my children

Today my husband was bragging about his prowess at laser tag so we came by to put his skills to the test. We had a great time playing all day with the very affordable all day pass. The place was clean, all the equipment worked, the games were fast, fun, and exciting. We could not have asked for a better experience! Special shout out to Simon, the guy running the laser tag arena. He provided incredible customer service to our group, families, birthday parties, all sorts of situations. He had a great sense of

I have to say this was my first time ever at Main Event! We were there to celebrate my assist birthday ??!! Mannn we had a BLAST! Main Event catered the food. It was soooo delicious ??! We bowled, ate, laughed, drunk and had a MERRY GOOD OLE TIME!! I will definitely consider having my daughter party here next year!! Thank you MAIN EVENT! One satisfied customer!!

Best place to host a kids? birthday party! We celebrated our son?s 8th bday and he and his friends had a blast. From the pancake bar, bowling, arcade games to the excellent service from Collin, we highly recommend Main Event in Grapevine!

I went here for a company sponsored holiday event and had a great time. There is plenty of parking and very easy access. It is tucked away from the street so hard to see their sign. Inside the venue is large and very well maintained. They have lots of friendly staff, so the lines are very short. They offer bowling, pool tables, laser tag, arcade games and more. Great food and drink options. You can reserve for large group events. Highly recommend.

Good AA Customer Service coworkers celebrating a birthday, Steve and Destiny are the best there dedication and attention have been awesome from check in and follow up on how we are doing and feeling ????

Attended during a public school spring break week. There was a number of groups bowling & at laser tag which are paid for individually. The video arcade has no cover charge. The are a good number of games for a large age & game proficiency. Just purchase a swipe card & play. Also, ate at the family restaurant getting nachos & cheddar cheese & chili tater tots, drinks. Service was not that great (had to ask for an ordered drink 3 times before getting it). There were maybe a total of 15 other people in the re

This place is supposed to be fun, but it is not. Good staff, good food and some potential for good times. I first gave them 5 stars but had to change my review after I discovered that the 1 hour play card they give you for group events is nothing but a fraud and scam. You cannot play most of the games, you cannot win any awards/prise, you cannot even play a game back to back "banked games not allowed"... Etc. So, if you are planning a group event dont fall for their 1-hour play card for each person, it is

Tami, Lesly, Collin & Steve at Main Event Grapevine were fantastic! The service they provided at our corporate banquet & bowling event was excellent! Thank you all for a fun and exciting event.

We hosted our 5-year old?s birthday party here and it was nothing short of FANTASTIC! Our party hosts were Carly and Karen and they helped us with literally all of our needs. They were even willing to help us set up our own decorations. The service, the party schedule, the food, the extra care was all spectacular. They even brought out a cart to help us take gifts and leftover things to the car. We will definitely have other events here.

Good time. The bowling lanes desperately need to be waxed/oiled. Laser tag is fun though. Service seems to be nice too.

We went here for the primal ranch VR experience. We had a small problem with scheduling, but the staff and management were amazing and super helpful! The games here are super modern and include things such as connect four, a massive pacman screen, skee ball, etc. I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you are in the area.

Really a worthy spot to spend hours with kids, family and friends. This place has snookers, snow bowling, cafeteria, arcade games and more , important thing is the cleanliness and polite staffs.

I only give this place one star because I cannot give in zero stars. The dining experience was the worst ever. Our waitress only came to our table in the beginning when she was taking her order. Somebody else brought out our food and drink. Then, when my husband tried to order something else, she got mad and rolled her eyes at him and said that nobody tried to order with her because he Ordered with somebody else because she never returned to our table. Multiple games took the tokens off our card and did not

I absolutely have to give credit where credit is due... The employees who checked us in...VITO it's one of the most amazing human beings I have ever met. I can't believe you've got such a top tier employee like this!!! Even working a busy day right before thanksgiving he was patient and kind and explained to everything to us and help us have the best evening. Thank you for making a memorable and fun experience for our trip to Texas!

Extremely Disappointing Experience I had an awful experience at this location, and I sincerely wish I had noted the name of the employee working in the food area. He was rude, and the situation only changed when the manager arrived?suddenly, he put on an entirely different persona. Kudos for ?Server of the Year? act The customer service was subpar, and the food was absolutely terrible. To make matters worse, I was served raw meat, which led to two miserable days of nausea and vomiting. It's hard to descr

Went here for my 22nd birthday, lots of stuff to do. The food is good and service is quick. Waits for laser tag is short, but for bowling on a busy night takes about an hour or two. Plan ahead and your time here will be great.

This place was great it's smaller and less busy than the one in Arlington, which I'm fine with I've been here twice now and I have no complaints, staff was friendly and food was great and I had plenty of options to add free time to play more arcade games

I go to Main Event ALOT and this is by far, the best location in North Texas! Courtney is one of the best managers I've met, and her team is absolutely phenomenal with their customer service! Shout out to Jacob, for the amazing burger tonight!

Came here for a b-day celebration without a reservation and they still accommodated us with a party of 12. The entire staff was great, very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend this place!

Clean and lots of activities for both young and adults. Great all day package, very reasonable price. Quality time for parents and kids. Sanitizer available everywhere. Bathrooms clean. Will return.

Noisy drop off spot for parents to dump the kids for a few hours. Decent bar. Good percentage of games not working in arcade. But place was clean and staff was friendly.

Came to Main Event with some church friends. Found the shoes that we had to rent, uncomfortable. The balls we used were damaged. The lanes were not in good shape and it was just ok for me today. I had a Cezar salad, it was just ok. I had a slice of pizza, very just ok. Not bad not good just blah. I think it's fun to have an outing like this and there were 5 of us and we bowled for two hours and it cost us $25 each or $250 I don't know how the math worked out but that seemed high.

The staff working at the location were excellent. They were professional with their work, but were also an absolute delight to interact with throughout the evening. Jacob and Jessica, y'all were outstanding and thank you for being so charismatic and considerate. Y'all made the Main Event experience memorable!

Just like all the other main events. The bar tender was just rude. It was late and I understand she may have been tired, but just provide the drinks. At the worst don't say anything, and a simple smile.

So much fun for the family. We have been to several Main Event locations however this one is by far one of the nicest with the best staff. My husband's company rents the entire place for friends and family and their staff make all of us feel like VIPs!

Worst experience ever. We had my son?s Birthday there on Saturday. We spent total over $600. The food took over an hour to get to us and that is after we had to finally find someone to take our order. My food never showed up and it was a salad. Finally found a waitress again to tell her it never came and then it took almost another hour to get a salad finally. The drinks never came to our table until finally after 20 times of asking for them and we had already eaten the food. Two of the drinks never even c

We live in Aubrey and this is the best main event around. Don't mind making the drive. Brian took very good care of us and made sure we were happy and satisfied for our teen party. Love he the staff were very attentive to our needs. We will continue having parties here ??

We stopped by on a Thursday evening to celebrate a family birthday and had a total blast. It wasn't busy at all, the service was excellent and the food was great too! It was such a fun night out and we will definitely be back.

Just had our kids 8th birthday there and they had a blast. Our host was Achilles (if I spelled it wrong I am sorry). But she was wonderful with the kids and a pleasure to work with. Request her you will not regret it! Place was clean everything ran smooth they were very accommodating since I had a couple extra people. We did bowling and laser tag everyone had a blast. We will be back and not just once a year for their birthday.

Everything was awesome, the service was great, it was our first visit with our grandson so we had questions but the front desk ladies we encountered ignored us standing at the counter, so we had to go find another employee to help us. The food court folks were very helpful!

Had a great time. I went during the day and it was not busy. Purchased the $7 all day pass and bowled fir hours since it was no one there. Friendly service. Fun theme's too! We picked the selfie theme and it's hilarious!

Had a great family night here! Our son got separated from us in the game area and was scared. The staff was amazing and Steve went above and beyond. He gifted him a toy from the store and added time to our bowling at the end of the night so we could finish a game. Highly recommend for a family fun night!

This review is in no way about Main Event itself. My girlfriend and I went for the AR experience. We both enjoyed it. However, there needs to be more time to get through the "levels." Half an hour isn't enough. Maybe 45 minutes.

The food was great and plentiful at my friend's birthday gathering. We bowled which was pretty fun. The games there were mediocre however. Overall I had a great time and wouldn't mind going back in the near future.

The second Super Bowl Sunday that I spent with my kids at Main Event was awesome. Watch Super Bowl LIII while playing pool, shuffleboard, and Blasting the enemies at laser tag. It was definitely and exciting time.

We really enjoyed this location, the food could have been better. But the service that Natalia and Steve provide was A-one. They made sure the food was remade that wasn't made correct and their customer service is some of the best I've seen in a long time at any restaurant or entertainment establishment. Thank you main event grapevine for the amazing experience! We will be back and this will be our main spot for the main even establishment.

The staff was very nice and the kids had a blast! Lots of good memories made!

The manager was supper nice ?? we ask for bowling specials for a big birthday group. He helped us. Then sent dessert for the birthday boys. Checked on us , really went out of his way. Love it.

Great experience! We did the laser tag and bowling. Highly reccomend for larger groups. A lot better than Dave and Busters. More modern and high tech games also which is nice!

Came here on a Friday afternoon. Wasn't too busy yet. Good was great. Waiter disappeared for a while, which was annoying. But overall good.

My kids had a great time. All the staff were very nice and super helpful. The place is clean and great family environment.

Edit- 7/17/24 They told me to fill out a form and I would be contacted. It's been two weeks and no contact. I wouldn't hold a party here. Came for daughter?s birthday party. The contract stated $16.99 per kid but they tried to charge us $17.99. They then said they randomly took off $10 on a receipt we couldn't see to adjust price. Why not just charge the correct amount? Then there was also a $28 ?service fee? to use the table. If we had booked 2 activities it would have only been $4 more for that party pac

Feels like party all around from the staff to the people. The service is too notch. My boys had a blast. Their laser tag got them going back for more and more.

Great for kids. Food ok. Took 350 kids from a middle school

Awesome experience!! Whole family had a blast! Very friendly and helpful staff and food was good too. Great family vacation memories!

The woman that served me, my wife, and my daughter today was so incredibly courteous, kind, understanding, and accommodating to me and my family this evening at around 7 PM. I am so bad with names, but I have recently finished cancer treatment and she was so accommodating towards my requests and an extremely compassionate person. This is the best customer service experience that I have ever had and I will be taking my family to this location from now on into the future. To the woman who served us: you roc

Great fun experience for all ages. Bowling ally, bar, billiards table, arcades and laser tag!! Didn't eat the food here but the overall experience was fantastic.

If I could rate this a 10 I would. I have to give a shout out to Steve. My husband and I were with my 1 year old and my family and he was so accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure not only WE had a good time, but my daughter too. He was helpful in every direction needed. The front desk was also extremely sweet. I had messed up how many people we needed to pay for and lanes we need but they didn't hesitate to work with me and made me feel less like a dummy! lol. I'll definitely be coming back j

The managers Tiana and courtany went above and beyond for our group of over 20 visiting town for a flag football tournament. The staff was incredible. The food was amazing, bartenders, servers, etc. we spent over 5 hours and it was an epic time. I highly recommend taking your family here! Thank you to everyone for making our day!!!

Sat and ate at the bar and the manager and servers clearly did not like that. After the third time of someone asking us if we were done with our half eaten fries I just said yes to get them to leave us alone it was very clear that that we all were still munching on them but just as clear that they didn't want us to eat there. Every other experience here has been at least decent and the bowling is good, a little on the expensive side but decent overall.

Solid night. Got destroyed by my friend in bowling. I was cooked 154-69 at this location!

Awesome place for a birthday. Excellent service. The person taking care of our party was on top of things. The bowling the atmosphere was really find the laser tag was right. I had the wings and they were delicious real fat and Meaty wings. I would suggest this venue for other parties. I did going to have a hard time finding a place kind of talked in behind some stuff

It's definitely fun. Especially the bowling and food! Went here to celebrate my son's 18th birthday with a few friends and family! Can be very busy and crowded but staff was awesome!

Stopped by last night. Manager had it going on last night every little thing ticked him off We left after spending $300 on a group on 9

I came to Main Event accompanied by two children. What a great time we had bowling and having some really good snacks! The spinach and artichoke dip was delicious, as was the huge serving of pretzel sticks, and we had refillable drinks. What made our truly wonderful was the exceptional customer service provided by employees Katelin and Gabby. Both employees were super friendly and very attentive. We got season passes and Katelin helped us get everything squared away with registration, set up for bowling an

My son absolutely loves one of the racing games. He truly beat me and my friend by less than a second. Most intense race. Prefect. Definitely going to have to make a habit of it.

Great fun environment staff was very friendly and helpful.the pizza ?? was great

Nice facility to unload the work stress while going home during day time. And definitely good fun for the family

Got the 3 hour unlimited games cards and did not disappoint? definitely worth the $$$

Nice and quite, corporate event on a Tuesday @ 1pm. Clean, bowling for, bar typical arcade place

Fun place to meet up with other families, but nothing special. Prices are a little high, food isn't anything to get excited about, and the overall experience was pretty average. They do have a cool dragon thing to help the kids bowl, though.

I don't recommend verse at all, poor customer service, no directions, 2 headsets not working. Device defects are understandable but the employees lack of customer service was ridiculous. Staff walks right by you completely ignoring you. We were waiting at laser tag area to kill time before verse immersive and Noone showed up so can't comment on how that was.

Manager had a horrible attitude towards kids. Place barley had people and was real crappy food

Went to Main Event in Grapevine with the family and several friends from out of town. Steve, the manager and ALL the staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our short time together! WE HAD A BLAST!!! We will definitely be back!

I booked a party here for my church for 4/19 and the entire experience was lovely. We had about 25 adults and children and not one person walked away dissatisfied. From the initial conversation with the Sales team member Nichole, to the promptness of the food, to the cheerful attitude of the entire staff, there was nothing left they could've done to make the experience as amazing as it was. I would like to give a special shout out to the manager Steve or as he was affectionately known: Hutch. He made sure

Manager was so rude nit picked everything kids did. Place had 15 ppl tops

Alicia was outstanding! She had the patience of a saint when dealing with 20 3rd Graders ??! We were well looked after for the whole party. Highly recommend!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers.
