Sat. 03/08/2025- We went to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was our first time at this location. They have plenty of video games, a zipline, escape room, bowling, and bar area. They were extremely busy today. We had a good time with friends. We had the pizza ??, burger and fries ?? ??. The hostess was on point and did a great job. ??

UPDATE:Main Event was Awesome when I reached out to them. The management addressed the issue with the staff and took care of it. We will give it another try? hopefully they earned a 5 star. The management sure did. Absolutely horrible food and service.. soggy tacos, waitress kept going back to check if they have stuff available went back 4 times once to check if they have meat for hamburgers. Never came to check once on the table.. I had to get up and ask for silver ware (got plastic fork and spoons) waitr

Fantastic Service! Our experience at the bowling alley was made even better thanks to our amazing server, Lawren. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. Whether it was food, drinks, or just checking in with a smile, their service was quick and professional. It's not often you find someone who makes you feel genuinely welcomed huge thanks for making our night extra enjoyable!

We had fun bowling on a Sunday evening kinda last minute. It was very busy but the staff seemed to be trying to keep up. It was loud and the food was decent. The bathrooms needed attention! :(

Honestly, this visit to Main Event was a mess from start to finish. The shuffleboard table was slanted so badly we couldn't even play a proper game. At least six other games were broken, and the card descenders didn't let you check your balance or reload?pretty basic stuff that should just work. I ordered a bottled Powerade and had to go up to the counter six times asking where it was, only to finally be told they didn't have any in stock and handed a cup instead. The drink machine? Out of ice. No one see

The place was nice and clean. The drinks and snacks were good. The customer service was very lacking. Everyone was just there collecting a paycheck. No one actively helping customers. Every time I looked everyone was standing around but you had to go above and beyond to get anyone's attention so you could be helped.. Signed up for a day pass with my kids and added an escape room.. They didn't put me down for the escape room. Played pool. The tables are all broken and you have to get someone to get the ball

Was there for my nephew's birthday party. Great atmosphere for kids to adults to have fun for hours, video games, bowling, laser tag, plus much more. Staff seems to be great. A special shout out to Andrew. I was sitting separately from my family watching the NBA play offs, and asked if I needed anything. Was not expecting that kind of service. End up ordering some finger food with a drink. Great service.

While this venue may be suitable for bowling and playing pool, it falls short in several key areas that impact the overall guest experience. Many of the arcade games were either out of order, missing essential components like balls, or visibly broken, making that section unusable. The environment was chaotic, with large groups of unsupervised children exhibiting inappropriate behavior, including loud cursing and disruptive conduct, without any staff intervention. Cleanliness was also a major concern. Trash

I'm leaving a bad review simply because of the bartender Andrew and the manager Sydney. I ordered two single shots of crown one which was visibly lower than the other. I asked if they can be evened out and he just took the other glass and poured into the other glass in front of me and the manager Sydney. He then proceeded to say we should?ve ordered a double if we wanted more. I wasn't asking for more or a double. Just the same amount in each glass that I was paying for. Very bad service from the start. Mi

Good place. Staff is helpful. Empty on weekdays

Good experience, my nephews loved it there. Went on a Friday at arrive 2 pm, but the crowd ramped up quickly. The building did suffer a power loss, so to make up for it they offered a $10 play, but the line was way too long to redeem it. The food was pretty good, it came pretty quickly. The server was nice and tried to keep my tables cups full. I'd visit again.

Great atmosphere, fun time Cyrus was our bartender and server she's amazing if they don't know they have a great one they better now! I will only be asking for her to be my server! Great drinks

We went to this place for the first time with 10 different people that we were gonna have a great time. It was an hour and a half wait for our Lane so we went into the bar ordered our first rounds of drinks which took about 30 minutes order the second round of drinks a couple came a few did not mine did not at all and the waitress said it's because they ran out of glasses, although we keep seeing them making drinks in the same glass for people drink an hour after we and bold The service was much better out

Lawren was our host & it was about 20 of us. She did a great job hosting us and kept great energy for over 3 hours. Food was good & services was exceptional!

Wow!!! Thank you, Main Event and staff, for a wonderful experience. Big shout out to the sales staff for making our visit a memorable one. Jasiyah helped with everything and never hesitated when I asked for help. Meghan, our waitress was on point and made sure everyone was good. THANK YOU.

Team members seem put out to help. Hostess walked off and watched me standing at the podium to get a table to eat. The waitress was nice and helpful. Great pizza! Over a dozen games did not work properly and simply took my money with no game play. The games that did work were very fun. Told someone about the games not working and they directed us to the front desk...no attempt to fix the games was apparent. "ME Radio" which was the music being played, left much to be desired...it certainly did not carry the

I had my son's 13th birthday party here. I was so disappointed in the staff and service. Our party host picked up our food before we were finished eating. I interacted with her 3 times during the whole party. She brought the food, picked it up, and gave me the bill. This is the most horrible experience with a party especially for the cost. Especially considering I chose the party package to have a host and it was not worth it. So disappointed. I will not be attending the location again for any event

We chose to go here for a celebration of one of our family members since they had better reviews than D&B. We were seated, saw several staff members wandering around, and we were never waited on. A few staff members saw us and avoided eye contact. Several other parties were seated and given the same treatment. The salt and pepper shakers were very dirty, the table wasn't cleaned properly. We thought maybe we would try just the snack bar and playing games, but it was closed and unmanned at 6pm on a Monday ev

I will never go back to this place again!!!! My first time coming here and it was a horrible experience. The first game we tried was air hockey. The hockey Paddles were so disgusting that they stuck to the actual table and wouldn't slide around. Grimy and disgusting!! The pictures attached are the games we tried to play but are broken. The pictures don't include the 10 plus games that were already broken that you couldn't play to begin with, but these are the machines that took our coins that I had to g

We paid extra for the mini escape room that fits up to 6 people. Since we had some downtime before we could go in, about 45 minutes, we played a few games. Unfortunately, several games showed error codes, but there were no signs placed on those machines indicating they were unplayable. One game we didn't see that it had a ball error and swipe the card. It still took the credits. We told staff but was told to wait for someone else to come by and refund it. After waiting a while, our time was up to go do the

Lawren Made a Tough Day So Much Better I came into Main Event after a really rough day, not expecting much?but I was lucky enough to have Lawren as my server, and she truly turned things around. From the moment she greeted us, Lawren was kind, upbeat, and incredibly attentive. She had such a positive energy that it instantly lifted my mood. She didn't just take our order?she genuinely cared, checked in with a smile, and made sure we had everything we needed to relax and enjoy the visit. It may have just

Main Event is always fun, but this location needs lots of attention. The service is lacking. We wanted to play pool and asked at the front desk, which said they had no idea so to ask by a podium, which told us to pay at the front desk, which when we showed our receipt to the podium they said the balls were stuck so to wait until they fixed it and they would call us. Everyone had a frown like they were annoyed at us for bothering them. Well, we eventually saw other people playing pool so spoke up and turns o

Andrew and the manager Sydney are the cause of this bad review. When you pay for drinks. You want to receive the correct amount and when you don't. You simply asking the bartender to correct the mistake infront of the manager shouldn't cause a headache.

We went for a company event. Our district financial manager made a reservation. We had about 20 people. They had 1 server who was also the cook. We waited for about 45 minutes before another worker finally came to help. It was a loooong wait. The food was overly salty, several people complained about feeling bloated but thirsty all night. We bowled, they held our lanes because it took so long for the food. We also played games. When we went to turn in our tickets it was another 15 minute wait for an employe

We had a fantastic experience at Main Event, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing server, Lawren. From the moment we were seated, Lawren was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. They anticipated our needs without being overbearing and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Our food and drinks came out quickly, and Lawren checked in regularly to make sure everything was perfect. It's clear they take pride in their work and genuinely ca

We were looking for a place to celebrate our daughter?s 7th birthday. We chose this location because it has something for the whole family, what a great choice! They made us feel like VIP, constantly checking on us and making sure we never went without. When we finished bowling we discovered the arcade and ZIP LINE! Definitely one of the best decisions you can make as a parent is choosing the right place to create memories. Huge thank you to the staff that made it possible. Matt , Ronny, Nathan, D and Lexi.

I was at a birthday party today and the service crew that was over food were huddled up touching and holding a cat. An animal and food services do not mix. The people were petting the cat, had the cat on their uniforms and did not see an issue. I went to report the issue and the manager, a black lady, advised me that she told them to wash their hands. I asked here, weren't you over there with the cat too. Her attitude changed and she was being rude. I asked for another manager and he said he is taking care

?????????? Lawren Turned Everything Around! I'll be honest?every time I've been to Main Event in the past, the service has been hit or miss, usually more miss. But this last visit completely changed my perspective, all thanks to Lawren. From the moment we sat down, Lawren was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. They stayed on top of everything?checking in without hovering, getting our order right the first time, and making sure we had what we needed throughout the visit. It was the kind of servic

Main Event, as most know, is a place to eat, drink, bowl, play pool, gravity ropes, watch the game, and play video games. It is best to visit here during the specials they run as it will save you a ton of money. Play all day, Monday Madness, Etc. Daytime is very slow. Nights and weekends are busy. This was our second visit. First was during the day during the week. We did the play one activity all day pass. We did the bowling. Had to adjust to the unique oil pattern as the ball kept going right, and

Lawren took care of me and my family. We were celebrating 2 birthdays. She stayed after she was off to make sure we were taken care of. Top notch service!!!! Thank you Lawren!!!!

We always love going to Main Events in different areas. This one in Grand Prarie was nice, but owner/operator needs to make a no cell phone policy for employees! I cannot believe how many were standing around on phones or hanging out. On a positive note, food was great!

i need a manager to contact me now! i have been calling all morning. my husband got us drinks and food at the bar which was $29.61. i get a notification on my bank app that my total is now $69.61? i never added a tip on the credit card, definitely not $40, i did cash. there was only one lady helping us so i know exactly who it is. i will be going up there today

If I could, I wouldn't even give this place half a star workers are very rude. We came here for a school event and you still have to place A time schedule for you to play laser tag and gravity ropes. the workers are very slow when I mean very slow I mean very, very slow. I ordered my food 30 minutes ago and they just started making after I complained about it well, that's what they said, but they weren't this whole time while I thought they were making it. There was this one Asian lady working very slow. Sh

Wonderful Ideal Flooring Christmas work party. Great service and great host, Jasiyah

Lawren Handled Our Stressful Group Like a Pro We came into Main Event as a large, loud, and honestly pretty stressful group?but Lawren didn't miss a beat. She stayed calm, friendly, and completely in control the entire time. No matter how many orders, changes, or questions we threw her way, she handled everything with patience and a smile. It's rare to find someone who can manage a crowd like that while still making each person feel taken care of. Lawren truly made a big difference in our experience, and

Hello as a Google local guide, I'd like to share my experience with this place. The first time I went to the Main Event was for a birthday. We played bowling, ate pizza, played at the arcade and it was really cool. The most interesting thing is that this place is fun for the whole family. Easy access, parking lot for any time, the staff are very nice? As a result of this, I went back several times. I recommend this place for birthday parties and for fun.

Fun place, but mediocre food and waaaay too many broken games!!! I lost so much money on broken arcade games, VR games, and crane games. My kids would swipe the card on many of these and they'd take their credits, without functioning!! It is impossible to keep up with the broken machines and was impossible to find staff for a refund. Starting to get really ghetto here; used to be very good and now it's just disappointing to pay so much and then have to explain to my kids over and over why they're 17.3 c

Don't Go To This Place!!! It's Ran By Disrespectful Teenagers! I checked in at 6:05 PM. I was told that it would be a 90 minute wait. No problem. That's going to be $54.00. For what? I just got on the waiting list. I paid it. At the end of the 90 minute wait, I approached the front desk. I was told that it would be another 90 minutes ??????????. Then I asked for a refund. We can give you a Gift Card?. Why would I want to come back to this place? I ended up disputing the charge with my bank and I got a refun

This location is completely broken. It took 10 minutes to get the bowling lane fixed as it wasn't working. We were scheduled for gravity ropes only to find out they didn't have someone certified to operate and run it. Many of the games are missing parts. Trying to get staff to help is almost impossible. We payed for a gold summer pass and still have to reserve for everything. Many of the games don't work or say subscription is expired. Screens for the score on laser tag not working. Just assume if they have

We went to main events to hang with some friends and our waiter Magen B was rude and she never came back to our table and when we asked for a manager she got an attitude but I don't understand why she had an attitude when she was on her phone the whole time which explain why she couldn't come back to the table... Long story short the manger said he was going to take care of the whole bill but didn't, we still had to pay almost $50 for bad services and cold food...But I should have went with my 1st mind and

Bowling lanes were pretty awful but the atmosphere was just like a Dave and Buster. The service was kind and friendly, but she forgot half our drink refills. Nothing crazy. Fun place to check out at least once.

On 6/19/2025 I want to give a shoutout to Lawren, a server at Main Event, who handled a tough situation with great care and professionalism. When my son got sick and threw up, Lawren quickly arranged for someone (Jamarcus ) to clean it up and reassured me that everything was okay. Her calm and helpful attitude really eased my stress in an uncomfortable moment. Thanks for the excellent service and kindness, Lawren & Jamarcus!

This location is absolutely HORRIBLE. I love the area ( I frequent TwinPeaks often and the Hilton Garden ) so I will stop in to bowl. The service is as poor as it gets. I literally had to go and get my drinks the entire time I bowled. Server never came out to check on us and staff was sitting there eating with several customers needing attention. Management is a joke. The ONLY reliable staff is Christina at the bar. I will request her anytime I am at this location. I will definitely not be back. I prefer to

This place is horrific!!! We were told we would have a table within 30/40 mins. A whole hour went by before we asked about our table. They had completely forgot about us even though we received the text about being on the list in the beginning. Then when we were finally seated our food all came out wrong and took forever for the last person to be served!! My sister asked to speak to the manager and when she let him know about how horrible the service was he wouldn't even make eye contact with her. I then as

We had an amazing experience at Main Event, thanks in large part to our incredible server, Lawren! From the moment we were seated, Lawren made us feel welcome with a warm smile and fantastic energy. They were attentive without being overbearing, quick to respond to anything we needed, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and activities. What really stood out was how Lawren managed to be both professional and genuinely fun?perfect for the upbeat atmosphere at Main Event. Whether we had questions abou

We had a birthday celebration for my nephew and Lawren was a great host! Request her on your next event.

DO NOT BOOK YOUR KIDS PARTY HERE!** This review aims to highlight the issues I experienced when booking my son?s joint birthday party. I will never book here again! After struggling with online reservations, I visited the location two and a half weeks before the party. Lindsey Briones from the sales team was very helpful, and I paid a $100 deposit with a detailed itinerary for bowling, pizza (plus cake), laser tag, gravity ropes, and video games. Lindsey even confirmed details a few days prior. **Party D

Just left bar tender took more than 20 mins just to close out tab. The wait is way to long at the bar. The young lady at the ropes is as wonderful with my kids.

Myself , my sister and daughter attended this Main Event on Valentine?s Day and I have to brag about how awesome Anita was! She made sure that we were taken care of! From bowling , eating and playing air hockey she made sure we had a great time and we most definitely will be back.

Good spot to hang out for sure, lots of video games, bowling and a bar. Drinks were kinda booboo kitty, but the vibe was cool, so didn't really trip. Close to plenty of other spots to eat as well..

Jade, Elmo, and Mannix made the trip worth while. We went on a Sunday afternoon when it was jammed packed and only getting more crowded. Jade made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our experience while still tending to her responsibilities. She had the BEST customer service for the night. Elmo was our server he was very attentive and made sure we're comfortable. I'll definitely come back just because I know good people work there

Cyrus was great and helped us out in my birthday, I turned 26 and don't regret visiting for this special occasion. Hands down a better version of dave and buster

This is my first time going to this place for bowling! The overall experience was very good! We had some problems with the pin machine. The staff moved us over to another lane! We will be returning to this place in the future.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I have been trying to call the event center for the last 45 minutes. No one has picked up my last 20+ calls. We had a time block booked and a family emergency happened and we needed to see what our options were. This is completely unacceptable. No one has answered a single time or attempted to call back. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Terrible customer service.

When it comes to having a birthday party here it is so bad, they are unorganized and made us wait over 2 hours to set up our table after they had told us we could?ve set up like 15 mins before the time we had booked for. Some of the staff had very nasty attitudes as well. And the pizza is poorly made too.

Jasiyah assisted me in ensuring I was able to make a payment for a field trip that had mistakenly been canceled. She was kind, patient and very informative. Her hard work has ensured 120 students from a disenfranchised middle school in Dallas, will be able to enjoy an exciting evening of fun for their great work this year. Thank you so much, Jasiyah. You are AWESOME!!! Shareefah Mason Unesha Wells

Omar is the best! We have a big family of all ages and he made sure everyone had the best time. Really made it a special time for our impromptu get together!

This lady ran out of the office as soon as me and my kids walked in screaming at them that they couldn't be there without an adult mind you she was so busy profiling that she didn't even notice me.... but to add insult to injury my oldest son is indeed 18.... I watched him tell her that and then she still demanded that they leave so finally I stepped in and said something and then she just walked away looking like the crazed woman that she is.... besides that .....this place is overly crowded.... food servi

We had a great time!!! Very clean establishment and also has a lot of great games and activities for your kids. We went for my daughters birthday but did not schedule a party and had just as much fun without the expense of a full party.

Waited 2 1/2 hours for nothing. We went there to bowl, and we were told the wait was 30 minutes to an hour. So we decided to sit at the bar until they notified us that a lane was available. We waited about 2 1/2 hours (great conversation, which distracted us from monitoring the time), and we received NO notification. After approaching the desk where we made the reservation, the employee was nonchalant (another group also never received notification). So we decided not to bowl and just get a refund. We wai

Jasiyah was super awesome! She hosted our company?s Christmas party this year!! 5 stars

Great time bowling and playing games with the family. The only reason I didn't give it a five-star review is that the system went down and the waiter had to write everything by hand we ordered and it took an extra 30 minutes to leave.

The Family Kitchen food was DELICIOUS! The salad & wings were VERY fresh! The tator tots had a VERY unique taste, which I believe was dry ranch dressing on them & they were perfectly fried golden brown just like I like?em ?????? I had the honey Sirachi flavor which is ALWAYS delicious too! I can DEFINITELY come back here & eat more wings, which were BETTER than Buffalo Wild Wings & Wing stop.

We booked my 13 year old?s birthday party here and it was so much fun! We did bowling, laser tag, arcade and gravity ropes. We also were able to get ?double the fun? using our pogo pass so got double the arcade credit our birthday package offered.

Came here for a 2nd part of a date. We had fun. Caleb at the bar was incredible with great service! Everybody weeks was OK. Very busy. I would recommend.

Was excited about visiting this location and was sadly disappointed. The service was horrible, the mini escape rooms were broken, a lot of the arcade games did not work, and the workers were lazy spending most of their time playing on their phones they didn't even offer to help the little kids with putting on their laser tag gear or explaining anything to them. As close as this location is to Waxahachie I will never come back or recommend this location as an option.

We went last night (Thursday) to celebrate my niece?s birthday. Thomas took care of our large party and did an amazing job. Honestly, amazing is an understatement, that young man was attentive, quick on his feet, and gracious. Thanks again T, I hope you get the recognition you deserve! The food was good we ordered the sliders appetizer sample platter (feeds 4-5) as our entree and it did not disappoint! Even the Brussel sprouts I forgot to exchange for something else, were soooo good.

Everything was great!. It's a great space for family time. Idk about the restaurant that's inside. We ordered food by the bowling alley. Only problem is some games don't work. Be aware if people under 21 are there after 10pm they are supposed to accompanied by an adult. Now they have to walk around together but if asked they should be able to be found. Yes under 21 not 16....

If I could give no stars I would! The party host I had to wonder if she was nonverbal she seemed very lost just left us standing in the lobby. We didn't receive birthday invitations the food came out no forks no sauce we had to beg for pitcher for soda couldn't find the host most of the time and was told Sunday was a slow day and wasn't sure of why the party was so untogether for 29.99 per kids this was absolute trash! I will never return to this location or no Main Event for that matter. I have called cor

The kids had a great time. The little ones really enjoyed it, they loved the zipline and lazer tag. While my oldest enjoyed bowling. The food was good, the bartenders were very nice and attentive. The one down side is that if you buy the packet for the "all you can play" the bowling shoes are not included, so there is a separate fee for the bowling shoe rental. Over all the kids loved it, I enjoyed that they all were having fun.

Never got food or server. Hottess sat me down. I've been waiting 15 minutes for a server. I got a server told them I've been waiting, need a server. Waited another 10 minutes. Worst service ever on a Saturday. I know they are busy but bar and seating isn't packed. It'll take a lot for me to go back.

Dane was such a great party host for my daughter 7th birthday party. Great customer service, patience with all the kids with drinks and food. I really appreciate your hard work and positive attitude Dane.

Majority of the games do not work. You will keep swiping your play card & it will take the credits off but you can't play anything. Customer service was great but do not waste your money on the games.

Magen was awesome!! Very knowledgeable and friendly. We came for my son?s birthday and we had a blast!

We went for Monday madness deal. It was great you can play any games with a rainbow on the scanner. Monday nights for all you can play activities or games for only $10.95 after 4pm! The cards were good for the rest of the day. Only down side is you can't collect points for prizes with that offer

Spent over $100, and more than half the machines were broken. Tried to speak to a manager, but none were available. The staff walked around in cliques, completely uninterested in helping. Total waste of money?avoid this place until they get their act together!

First time at the Main Event here in Grand Prairie. Busy as ever but the staff took care of each and every customer promptly and with a smile.

Brought my family up to eat and play games. We decided to eat first that was a big mistake. Sat there for 15 mins before are anyone came and took are drink and food order. 45 mins latter no drinks no food. Two other tables got up and walked out. Talked to the manager that guy did not care what's so ever. 230 pm on 3/16 was is shift. Unfortunately spend money on game cards so the kids could play. What a waste of time and money.

Ryan and Omar are amazing?very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu..we came out for dinner and will definitely return for this great customer service they provide during a busy night

Hosted a birthday party here and the staff was amazing! Thank you to Kelli and Aziyia for taking such good care of us and keeping us on schedule. We will definitely consider Main Event for future special occasions.

Came here on a late evening celebrating a birthday for a friend. Kris Hardy is the man! Had the best customer experience from him. Look forward to coming back at this place.

Game room vs diner was like day and night. Everything to do with the games and activities was 10/10 including staff. The restaurant side was complete disrespect! Bartenders would not even look in our direction. Tried to order from the menu but no one ever came to take our order. Bartender seemed completely bothered that we ordered water! I'm sorry I just had bariatric surgery and cannot drink alcohol or even a carbonated drink!! Made it seem like me and my family were just in the way! Staff kept walking by

I came on may 21st the service was real bad , waitress had an attitude she didn't want to take my order , I had to wait an hour for my drink (pineapple juice ) which I didn't get , and then my bowling lane kept shutting every hour but mikalya was real sweet and cool

The women at the front desk were phenomenal and making you feel welcome and providing top notch customer service as soon as you walk through the door. All the food looked amazing but as you see from the pictures I chose a dessert which is just as good, actually it was better than what it looked like. Overall phenomenal experience and I look forward to my next time at this location.

Server Daisha W. failed to provide basic customer service after failing to provide our drinks. We requested the last drink to be sent back and removed from our tab since she brought it after we were all done eating. She then escalated the situation after we requested our tab by involving Constable Fountain! This turned into a public fiasco. The GM Jose B. thought the best resolution to such a sub-par and unpleasant experience was to give us a free drink. After his servers disrespected us when they were the

Marcus the bartender made these really good drinks for me and my friends and they came out really good!! I will be going back to have more!! I love his energy, he was very bright and welcoming, me and my friends loved him! It was my very first time at Main Event as well and had so much fun! If you want to have some drinks I recommend Marcus to make them!

I took my 5 year old son here, he had amazing time I really loved the restaurant inside of Main Event. Omar and Vera gave Exceptional service, food was great but they were so generous with the customer service. I definitely will be back!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
