Main Event Avondale

Main event is a fun place to go with the family, but you pay a high price to do it. This location has bowling, pool, laser tag, an arcade, and gravity ropes. It seems like a lot at first but it runs out fast. The arcade is also insanely high prices, so you'll spend a fortune if you want to play for very long outside of an unlimited pass. I arrived at main event Avondale. Rented bowling shoes for the kids bowl free family pack. $16.16 for the three of us. I was told it was going to be an hour wait. Which is fine. We have never been there before so we grabbed bowling shoes and waited a few minutes and decided to to the arcade before bowling. I purchased the $99 / 625 credit. Mostly for after bowling but while we waited I let them spend less then 100 credits. I then went to the counter to get a better idea of the wait time and they didn't have

This was such a fun stop for our family. I'm glad we decided to spend our family day here. I can't believe we'd never been before considering we're always looking for fun ways to interact with our teenagers. The place is huge and set up so well. I am VERY disappointed with the party my daughter had here today and we only had 7 kids too. Our host was Dani. We had a lot of fun here. We brought my daughter and her best friend here for her bday. I bought the deal $24 Monday to Thursday they can bowl (minus the shoes), pool, laser tag, and gravity (not sure exactly what this is called but it's like a gymnasium). My son-in-law job hosted an event day there. Everything was very nice until we started bowling. The service didn't exist. They ignored us for over 1 hour. We tried to place food order 3 different times, which they absolutely ignored. Then we voiced what happened all they could do was say we can give you an extra hour of bowling. We had a 14 month old who was hungry that's why we were trying to order. But it didn't matter I guess our skin was to dark for the service of food.

I can't speak firsthand for the taste of the food but the people next to us had some pretty tasty looking dishes. Once you pay, don't dilly-dally around looking for the right ball and setting up because you are paying by the hour. We went to Main Event this spring for the first time and we were not disappointed. The key is to get the All Play deal and go early. There are so many things to do we ran out of time to do them all and we were there early in the afternoon on a Saturday up until close to closing time on the weekend. There was also a survey on our receipt for $10 worth of free game play each kid had their own receipt so they each got $10 of free game play immediately after doing the survey. It's on the louder side in there so definitely would not say it's a good place to sit down and just chit-chat unless you're sitting in the restaurant area where it'

HIDDEN EXPENSE FOR LARGE GROUPS OR FIELD TRIPS. Done with them. This was our 3rd time here and we really enjoyed it. I'm not so into the arcade stuff but my sons, brother in law and husband, have the best time! I was there for the laser tag which I first played last year and I absolutely love it! We also ordered a pepperoni pizza and chicken nachos which were very good. I highly recommend it.

Took our son here yesterday for his birthday. Big place, but very costly. Adds up really quick. To be expected at these types of places. Service was horrible. Took about 15 minutes to be seated after getting help from another area. It wasn't busy, only 1 table occupied. Took another 10 minutes for oir drinks to be taken. Love Main Event Avondale. There's not a lot to do out in Avondale. But they always have really good wristband specials. I try to go Monday nights because that's their best deal. Everyone is so nice. Sometimes we sit at the bar, other times the dinning room and every time the staff is helpful.

Mike is an outstanding manager. A true example of what a leader is. He cares deeply about the consumers experience and how to make an unforgettable trip out with the family. Been going to this place since it was opened and been a fan ever since. Staff is always nice and understanding people, and I always get my moneys worth from this place. Service takes a while, but it's often worth it. If you have a young child and a free weekend, take them here! It's generally alot more affordable than other mega-arcades. Also, try they're millshakes and thank me later.

While the location is quite fun, a lot of the machines didn't work and even more were out of order. I'd start a game and it would quit out half way through without being able to do anything. I didn't try their food or other activities, but the arcade section could use some work. The games that did work were fun. They really need to revamp and increase how many tickets a person gets. The store items required an insane amount of tickets, so it wasn't really fair. I get that's the point, but it would be nice.

Came here to celebrate my daughter?s 15th birthday and no one showed up for her party. Our server Kim and the manager,, were absolutely amazing and surprised her with a birthday Sunday and gifts. We ate at the dine in restaurant. Treated the kids to the amazing shakes. Three awesome flavors to choose from. The staff was so amazing. We had a blast highly recommend fir a day in the cool air conditioning.

Fun time, great place to take the kids or for a fun date night, it can get very crowded depending on the day though, but you don't have to wait much to play a game. Brought my kid and her friend here for an alright time. This place is very similar to Dave and Busters. A mixture of arcade games targeted at both kids and adults ranges from racers to shooters with some VR experience, there is also a good amount of the "ticket" games. There is a bar, billiards, and a pizza place as well. There is Laser tag, a high rope obstacle course, and a bowling alley but we didn't not utilize those options this go around. I went for a birthday party and I was surprised at how the birthday host was moving so slow. She messed up our orders and the food was cold. The laser tag was actually fun and that staff was fun. There were so many people there, unfortunately the was no safe distancing at all.

The bar staff has been the coolest team I've ever met. I come here after work and have a few beers throughout the week and Naz, Alaina, cynthia have been amazing every time I see them. As well the food is bomb every time, never once a let down. I usually get wings but the Flatbread was bomb this time around. I always come back for a reason.

Me and my friends went as a last minute activity and we had a great time! Shockingly the pricing were good. If you only want to do the activities and steer away from the arcade, it will only cost $25 per person do unlimited play and a game of bowling. Including the bowling shoes, if costed me and my friends $30 each. We played laser tag multiple times and the gravity ropes. We also did bowling for 2 hours which is where we tried the nachos. Would have loved to have a great time but poor customer service marred my experience. Our bowling lane shut down on the second frame. We tried using the video telecom system. We tried 4 times. Each time we got a message that all operators were busy. Our food order came out before anyone even attempted to assist us. The server who brought out our food offered to fix the lane but I had already put my shoes on to leave. I will just go back to the East Valley if I ever want to go to a Main Event.

I blessed this establishment with my family's presence on Halloween 2020 - which is my Born Day!! We loved it. This was my wife and Is second visit, but was the first for my 4 kids (6-16). Everyone was entertained with activities such as bowling, laser tag, gravity ropes, VR and more. They also have pool tables, food and drinks. I had a wonderful birthday there!

We were here celebrating a birthday party. Tons of stuff to do and keep the family busy. The food was ok for the party. They have 2 restaurants inside which offer other items and a full bar ! The party packages can be pricey. The prize room is a ton of over priced items that the kids are going to lose or destroy. The arcades require a lot of tokens/Plays.

My partner and I enjoyed such a fun night of bowling and games at this location. We went pretty late in the evening around 10 pm and didn't have any issues getting a lane. We met some lovely people who bought us drinks and it made the sense of community and kindness in the area shine through. My only complaint was that I didn't see as much cleaning in regards to Covid protocols as there should be and the bathroom could've used more tending but otherwise the service and experience was fun.

Unhappy with having to place our names on a waitlist when there was no one on the obstacle course and no one in the laser tag. This is their way to slow you down from unlimited play. Fantastic trip to Main Event today for a private family day for my husband's work! Great staff eager to help and make sure our day out was super fun! I have never had such amazing tater tots in my life, no joke! I don't know what they're seasoning them with, but I'm now hooked on those tots!
