Lux nightclub and casino

Lux nightclub and casino

Reviews Summary

The Lux generally receives positive feedback for its lively atmosphere, fun dance floor, and friendly bartenders, with many praising its diverse entertainment options (pool, darts, arcade). Service is often highlighted as excellent, and drinks are affordable. However, some criticize poor management, unpaid wages, and inconsistent promotion. A few reviews mention issues with music selection, security, or occasional closures. While most ratings are high (4-5 stars), negative experiences (1-star reviews) focus on operational flaws. The venue’s potential is acknowledged, but improvements in marketing and staffing could elevate it further.

Customer Reviews

My favorite bar in town by far. Ive been going to the lux for a few years now. It has cheap drinks, amazing staff that are really friendly, and Austin comes up with the best drinks. The dance floor is so fun. The Karaoke still needs a little work lol, but that takes time. All in all the lux has a great atmosphere and great vibes.

Very cool, hip Helena night club with dancing, casino, arcade, pool hall & dart boards. Watch your favorite sports on the many big screen tv's, have a cocktail with friends or sing karaoke. There's something for everyone including the kid in you. Friendly staff await to assist you in this must see local hot spot offering Helena and visitors alike the finest for fun 21 & over entertainment!

It's not that I hated the place it's the fact that I got there to the luxe nightclub and casino after getting a recommendation to go there and it was closed there was no lights on no movement and so I can give it one star it will be updated later on when I actually experienced what it's like inside and I will get photos after I experience it I will update my review but as of right now it's just going to have to take it one star and be happy with it.

The DJ is a bit young and inexperienced... "Read the room" ... The dancefloor is cool and the seating, ample, however it would be nice to be able to open a tab instead of closing out after every round. That being said, the bartenders were attentive, friendly, and quick to serve our drinks. I will go back and see what it is like on a Friday night instead of a Saturday night. Also, you have a stage, seating, dancefloor ,,, maybe contract Karaoke one night a week to bring in more business ... Saturday night

I didn't eat here, had just a few drinks, but when I tell you that I danced for HOURS I'm not being dramatic. I literally danced for hours and loved it! The perfect dance floor, the DJ was amazing ??! I will be returning to tear up the dance floor again!

Great atmosphere, service was top notch, love the dance floor and music...inexpensive drinks!! Amazing place to party, basement has a bar, music, pool, darts, and arcade games. My new favorite place!!!!!!

I spent a week in Helena at the hotel across the street. I went over about every night. The bar tender is awesome. Good people were there. The dance floor is fun I'll go back on my next trip to Helena. Thanks Rob, Brian and Amy for a fun time!

What a waste of space and money. This has to be the most laziest club owners. The place looks good but there hardly anyone there during the weekends. They have no social media presence, its like the only people know this place exist is the people who live in the neighbor hood. lol You would think with a nice venue like this they would be having themed parties, guess dj's and more. Some body needs to learn how to market and promote or this place is doomed.

On the main level, there's a patio area, inside seating, and a dance floor with lighting. The service was great, and the DJ was willing to take requests. It was a fun place for a Girls' Night Out.

Stellar bar tenders however the security needs to be a little more proactive. I found myself in a situation where I was threatened with bodily harm (albeit I didn't take it seriously) by one of two customers and there was nobody to deescalate the situation except myself. The poor bartender just watched the whole thing happen unable to assist. The proper course of action would have been for security to observe the actions of persons after they have been informed of a possible situation (I reported rowdy c

Pool Room was inviting, the Bartenders were professional and did a great job.

We had a blast when we went, had a friend come to town and it was thr first time for all of us! The dance floor is so amazing it just has to been seen, and the service is fantastic!

Very cool atmosphere! The floor lights up!

This place has so much potential, but it's not overly promoted and it's location is weird. That being said, the dance floor alone is worth the visit.

It wasn't great or bad.........the lighted dance floor is pretty cool. The bartender was very nice and was willing to give me free non alcoholic drinks since I was DD that night

Solid pool tables, dart machines, dance floor, and barcade. Not sure if they have food? Service is what you expect at a bar, no complaints there. Hidden gem.

It's alright. Dance floor is cool but needs better music.

The best dance club in Helena!

Bartenders have something going on the side and the owner likes to keep employees tips and not pay their wages.

Fun place to chill. Lots to do.

The owner is a Slumlord that doesn't pay his employees wages and tips owed to them.

Best bar around. Great bar tenders and good times!

Best place in town for drinks, games and dancing seriously best place

Good medicine and atmosphere

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
