We had a great time at Lucky Strike in San Marcos! The place is clean, lively, and very family-friendly. The staff was prompt and helpful, and the food was tasty?definitely better than your typical bowling alley fare. We did have to rent shoes, but they were laceless with secure Velcro straps, which made it super easy?especially for the kids. Speaking of kids, the setup was perfect for them. They had ramps and automatic bumpers that adjusted for each player, so everyone could enjoy the game at their level
Fun place! It's really a modern take on the bowling experience. The bar actually has a lot of great offerings to choose from. There is an arcade, a place to play beer pong, and couches. Lots of table seating if you just want to hang out with a group while you wait for a lane. The entire place is well lit, and there is tons of parking.
Very nice and clean interior with lots of games apart from just bowling. Great food and even better customer service! Kryssi, Klara, and Alec were amazing to our group and made it such an amazing experience for us, going the extra mile to make us feel welcomed.
Had my son?s 6th birthday party here at lucky strike! We were a large group 40 people ! I had the pleasure of working with Kryssi brewyer! She was great! Made me feel like I've known her for years the hospitality was amazing! She made sure everything was to our liking food was amazing presentation was beautiful! I highly recommend having an event here stress free and they will take care of you! Thanks again !
This location makes the summer pass a scam. The managers at this location make you wait over an hour every time with the excuse that there is a waitlist and won't provide waitimes. Meanwhile, multiple lanes stay empty and unused while you sit there and wait. They have competing promotions that they prioritize over the pass. Great attempt to try and get you to buy food or drinks.
I want to thank Lucky Strike for such a wonderful time. My birthday party was a huge hit! The service was great and the staff was personable and sincere! I will do this again for sure!!
We had our daughter?s 9th birthday party there today and it was the MOST fun, least stressful party we've ever had! Chrissy, the event manager, was attentive and communicative and our server, Alexa, was fantastic and rolled with all the special requests we had! It was a seamless experience from start (planning and booking) to finish! We'd highly recommend having your party (of any age, really) at Bowlero!! PS I loved the light up sign they put out too!
Lucky Strike is always a good time! I love taking advantage of the deal they offer on Groupon ? it makes it such a fun and affordable night out. The food is okay, but the atmosphere is great and makes up for it. Always a fun spot to hang out with friends!
Had a great experience, the wait time was a bit excessive, but you gotta respect the online reservation. Great food, but wouldn't mind it being a bit cheaper.
Awful. Luxury prices without any luxury offerings. Dirty floors, overcrowded seating areas, overpriced food and drinks, and insane prices to bowl. Constantly understaffed, with such high employee turnaround that you'll likely be greeted by a new hire on your next visit and that includes management. Such a terribly greedy company from the corporate level down. Update: things have not improved. Was assigned to a lane that had a spill on the floor, we had to get someone to clean it up before we could start. I
We came to try out bowling and a few of the arcade games. We had a lot of fun! The rental shoes were clean and fairly new and the lane computer was easy to use. The food was okay; nothing really stood out. We really enjoyed the air hockey game, although it can get a little tight with a lot of players around. And we were able to win a bouncy ball from the crane game. I wish we had more time to play that night.
This is a fun place. The servers are attentive and there are things for everyone to do. Lots of people come here so don't expect pristine alleys when you bowl. They also seem to have a lot of birthday parties specially on weekends so it may feel like a circus at times.
Sarah was amazing in putting the perfect package together for us. My hubby graduation from college celebration/birthday. Everyone had a blast. We had the unlimited bowling, bar (2hrs) unlimited arcade for 1hr. Drinks were good. We order two things of chicken nachos.
This was a great bowling alley... And some. I took my son here for a birthday party and the staff couldn't be more helpful. We all had a great time, the food was satisfying and the drinks were cold. Additionally, it's modern enough so I can easily turn bumpers on for individual bowlers.
I took my team here for a corporate outing, and I have to say, it exceeded all expectations! The staff were incredibly attentive, handling everything from our lane reservations to food orders with ease. The lanes themselves were well-maintained, and the bowling balls were in great condition. The overall atmosphere was energetic and fun, perfect for team-building. The prices were very fair, especially considering the extras like food and drinks. It's hard to beat the value here for the quality of service and
We reserved online, which was an okay process. It's 2 hours or nothing shoes or nothing. There wasn't any options to pick stuff. When you call the phone number it's terrible. There are a bunch of recordings. Push one for this, push, five for that, etc. eventually you get to a human who is super helpful. When we got there the check-in process was extremely easy. They just handed us our shoes and showed us where to go. A waitress came by right away. We ordered an appetizer sampler which was surprisingly good.
We recently celebrated my son?s 7th birthday at Bowlero, and it was an amazing experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly. The bowling lanes were perfect for the kids, and the atmosphere was fun and lively. The party package included great food and drinks, which everyone enjoyed. My son and his friends had a blast, and we received so many compliments from kids and parents about how much fun they had. I highly recommend Bowlero for any kids? party?it's a
So much fun with 8 and 10 year old granddaughters! Not cheap but we caught a weekday special that made it do-able. Bring socks to wear with shoe rentals! Clean, family friendly atmosphere. We went on a weekday right at opening and had our pick of lanes. Staff was available to explain how to get started with the keyboard on our lane. Neighboring group of bowlers helped us figure out the bumpers. Lots of bowling balls light enough for young bowlers and this senior. Convenient parking. We stayed after and had
Review update: Avoid at all cost! Front desk lady told us there were 10 parties ahead of us. We went on the wait-list then waited a whole HOUR. Went to check our place in line and they told us we were now 13th in line. Come waste your time at your own risk! We drove 30 miles north since we made the mistake of getting the season pass last time. Come at your own risk. I legitimately think the lady needs to be fired. My theory is that she didn't actually check how many people were ahead of us. She was rude f
We reserved a lane which was the success thing to do on a Sunday evening given the long wait. We had fun and we also ordered nuggets and some drinks that were good. It just seemed stuffy and something triggered my allergies there, which usually would be dust
LOVED Bowlero! We had a family day bowling on Labor Day. We had a blast. The venue is one of the best! I'm from Orange County & we have several bowling alleys, but none as colorful and vibrant as Bowlero. Despite the holiday, we had no wait time. I purchased a Groupon (GREAT deal!!!) but it didn't allow for us to make a reservation; it was 1st come, 1st served. We got right in & made some wonderful family memories.
I had a great time bowling with my friends this afternoon. The manager, Kryssi, took good care of us and was very attentive and provided excellent service. Alec also made great pizza! Thank you!!
We had so much fun! The bowling alley is very clean and the music isn't so high that you can't hear the person next to you! I'll be coming back here soon I hope!
Clean, well maintained, good staff, fun setup. The only thing I would change is to add some more craft beer.
This place is awesome and their chicken wings are out of this world they bake the chicken wings and then they fry them had the lemon pepper yummy go here have fun
Took my kids bowling for their first time. They loved it so much they want to save up to go again! I guess we found our go to place. The arcade doesn't use coins, it uses credits you put on a card. The food is very expensive (example $16 for 8 wings) so we went to eat somewhere else afterwards. It was about $100 for 6 people for one game which lasted 2 hours.
Avoid at all costs! Enjoyed the bowling and atmosphere but the price is so overwhelming! Over $90 for 2 games of bowling?!?! $9 a game plus $5 shoe rental, absolutely ridiculous prices! No option for hourly rental either so if you finish your game's quickly you can end up paying hundreds of dollars for a few hours of bowling! Absolutely ridiculous compared to other bowling alleys! Will not visit again unless their prices change!
My husband and I came here on MLK day at 1pm. Bowled 5 games and were there for an hour and a half. For some reason for the two of us to bowl for an hour and a half and rent shoes it was $90. We did not realize until we got home. How is this possible?? Have any others been charged this much for 2 people to bowl for an hour and a half on a Monday at 1pm? I understand it was a holiday, but it seems truly absurd. And of course we do not have our receipt. We were on lane 32 and an older gentleman handled our bi
The food and alcoholic drinks were delicious and the staff was friendly only issue was our server was slow. We were trying to order more drinks and she didn't come around that often
Great place and great ambient to pass tiMe with family!
Better late than never! My son?s birthday party here was an absolute blast, despite him taking me out with a Nerf gun. The manager, Kryssi, is the MVP ? organized, friendly, and on top of every detail. Sarah, Richie, Alexa, Megan, Courtney, and Anita were absolute rockstars with the kids, handling the crowd like pros and keeping everyone entertained. The venue is top-notch ? clean, vibrant, and perfect for a party. And the food? So good! It was a hit with both the kids and adults. If you're looking for a s
Our group just left this place, after they made us wait for 1.5 hours just to play. We were a group of 8 and we waited patiently, ordered some food etc. & basically just waited for our turn to get assigned a lane to play in. But after 30mins passed, then 1 full hour, we asked the manager Henry (bald dude) in the bowling shoe rental area and he said we're next, and another 20 mins passed, they said they were cleaning 2 lanes for us. The said lanes they were "cleaning or getting ready" for us we're 21 & 22, a
I had a birthday party there for my son and everything went really well. The lane was set up when we got there and the food was good. The pizza was great and the staff was very attentive . I thought the price was good too. I love how clean and fun the bowling alley feels. We where very happy .
This establishment has really stepped up their events program. While the cost for party events may be slightly higher than competitors, it is well planned and organized.
Plastic lanes, you need alot of surface on your ball or be a 2 hander. The place is not for leagues. They want money from casual bowler at $8.99 a game.
Fun atmosphere to bowl in! Kryssi, Alec, and Klara served us with amazing service! Definitely recommend ??
Such a fun bowling alley! The staff is great, especially Kryssi, Klara, and Alec. I'll definitely be back.
Well food was amazing for bowling alley. But the fact that my feet stuck to the floor every bowl was no bueno. Just glad back is alright. I think some lanes better than others but shoes didn't seem to great either. They were sticky.
The lady working today is exceptionally great at customer service and should a get a raise. Her name was Chrissy or Krissy maybe? Either way if you know who I am talking about and you happen to be a manager take care of her she deserves it! Thanks great experience!
Had our birthday party here. They are very flexible and would do anything to make it a great event. The food was good but bulk made so not so yummy. Service was good but they seemed to be understaffed for the number of parties they were having. Overall highly recommend for a birthday party.
We had a great party here last night. It's a really lovely bowling alley. Our party hosts were responsive to our needs. In 16 years of parenting, thus is the first time I have officially hosted a party outside my home. It was not cheap, but it actually felt worth it. The only prep work I did was make a cake. (You are allowed to bring your own cake; no other outside food is allowed.) We showed up, had a great time, and took home a bunch of leftovers. Their catering menu has much more diversity than their sta
We came here for a birthday celebration and didn't expect it to be so much fun! Each station has a little table to serve food for a party, with a diverse menu of fun finger foods (sliders, hot dogs, tater tots, fries, sundaes, pizza, wings, etc.). The arcade make the experience more flexible, when you're done with bowling you can move onto the arcade, and the adults can get a drink at the dining area. We ended up staying for 3.5 hours.
Complete and utter trash service. The 3 workers working on Dec 29th at the front desk were the WORST. We came in and were put on a waiting list and after waiting for over an hour we received a text that the lane was ready and starting coming in to bowl we were less than a minute past there ?5 minute period?. We have a child and a full family that needed to come inside 5 mins is absurd and than to instantly give our spot away is ridiculous.
Not a bad place, went for happy hour, and they only have pabst blue ribbon discounted, c'mon, only one beer, oh well, other than that, bartender s are friendly, should have more choices for happy hour, for that I give 3 star
Disappointing. Pricing is unclear: it's $12 PER PERSON, PER GAME. The sign just says ?per game.? Bill came out very high without warning. Women?s bathroom was very dirty, the kind of dirty that builds up from not being properly cleaned for a long time. Staff were confused about how we can order food, where to pick up food, when food would be ready. Whole thing was kind of a mess from start to finish.
It's a bowling alley, and it is always busy. The kitchen and food service can be slow. Could use more food choices on the menu. Music would be nice and more specials.
Really lucky strike? Bowling pins hanging from strings now? What is that? It's absolute hard NO for us. Not a good experience. This place is good for kids only now.
We had a blast playing games while waiting for our lanes to open. They have free games too! We are serious Jenga players! ??They even have a cornhole set They get busy on the weekends. Plan to wait up to 1-2 hours for a lane on busy nights. Great place to spend time with friends and family ??
I have never written a review before this but i felt that i had to after what i had witnessed tonight. I Had an amazing night here the bowling was great the service was amazing, however the way the manager was treating his employees was unacceptable.
Had a corporate event here, checked all the boxes. Was very entertaining everyone enjoyed themselves. However food was just your typical microwave style it seemed.
Not impressed. I tried calling ahead on a Sunday and nobody would answer the phone, just rang for minutes. Wife said she had tried calling all week, same issue. Drove 10 miles with two kids in the truck to take one bowling for his birthday. Showed up to find the league had taken over half the lanes, and the waiting list was over 25-30 people for the rest of the lanes even though I saw some weren't being used. Staff admitted the longest wait had already been 120 minutes already. Sure wish the employees care
We were wigging out !!!! it was very live and the service was good I would go back when I'm in town
This bowling is really cool. Its lively and has an assortment of games as well as a nice bar to sit at. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is a nice place to visit with a family or with friends. I'd definitely go back again.
Great service. So cool place to vist with the family. We had lot of fun . And and amazing service
We had so much fun here ! It was my sons 10th birthday and it was perfect! Definitely recommend celebrating a birthday party there !
Super fun interior. Lots of ways to have fun and a great experience. The pins kept messing up but then got better later on. The lanes are a bit lower quality but still super fun.
My husband and I had a date night here! We had such a blast! Everyone was extremely welcoming and seemed sincere in doing so. I would also like to get management's attention because there was one person in particular who made the entire night amazingly smooth! Klara is such an awesome person! She is extremely attentive and consistently checking in, we never once felt that we had to "flag her down"! She is probably the best server that I have ever had! She needs tons of recognition from management and if it
The manager checked up on us several times to see if we needed anything. He was very friendly and professional. We reserved 2 hours for my family of 9.(kids and Grand babies) We had an excellent time. The bumpers automatically came out when it was my grandson's turn. So cool. It's been 20 years since I've bowled .
Beautiful, well equipped alley. But very costly for this somewhat boring "sport": around $30 for two people playing just one game on a weekday morning.
Wonderful happening place. I think this place is very popular, so make sure you book your board before heading towards.
Made a reservation and didn't regret it. The manager greeted us as soon as we got there. She was super nice, very friendly, and had a smile every time she spoke. Our waitress was great as well and was very attentive. There is a great selection of beer, and had a few cocktails as well. Food options were great as well, everything from wings and pizza, to burgers and quesadillas. Will definitely be going back.
5 stars compared to other bowling alleys. Clean and fun atmosphere.
This place is amazing and clean! Super fun, and friendly service. It looked as if all the families were having a good time like we did.. Thanks!!
Took my grandson. All around great time. This is a friendly, squeaky clean place. Bowling leagues take over Wednesday?s in the mornings (maybe other times too, we arrived at 10:30 am) they were booked so we were asked to return at 1 pm. Signed up for the Fall Season Pass for about $63 a person. It includes two games per day with free shoe rental for three months. We're not bowlers so we had no idea what we're doing but we had fun.
Fun place to take the grandkids.
My brother and I had a blast bowling here. The beer was cold and the lanes were well kept.
It was very good. I don't understand your staff is all tired, or what? I'm a customer, I come to bowling to play spending money. As I step back from history, I'll write to you. People can be seen very strongly when a person is not in the mood, when they are annoyed. So, we celebrated our birthday and spent time. I didn't like one case. I contacted the staff who work, the person, the employee with the dissatisfied person did their duties. Why do you want to work? Why work if they're steamy... they're tired o
I've been here several times and surf bowl. I would recommend surf bowl over this alley. Unfortunately customer service here is little to non existent. I have had reservation groups a few times at this location and every time experienced some form of an issue with the lane. The latest being spent $300 for a group and they accidentally shut down our lane for 15 minutes to finally fix it digging into our time, and then our balls getting stuck with another 5-10 minute delay to fix the problem. There was no rei
It was fun but I got food poisoning from the food here today
A 45 minutes wait list quickly turned into an 1 hour 45 minute+ wait. First time in since the makeover- while impressive, management needs work. Half the lanes remained inactive for the first hour of our wait. I swear it's a ploy to get you to buy drinks, play video games and order food.
We tried to order at the pad and it never accepted my credit card, i asked for a server and we waited more than an hour to get help, pizza looked and tasted like the frozen ones and bathrooms are dirty, sink had mold...next time i i will drive to the bowlero in chula vista
We reserved a lane(read all terms when you do) .Very nice staff, Management was amazing, kid friendly.$$. Very accommodating.Need something just ask.Never got an annoyed energy from any staff.Food and bar side of things weren't as great but still decent. Our Waitress had no problem addressing issues on our behalf . Definitely will go again. Was told walk ins on the weekends do have wait times since they get pretty busy so heads up??
Had a great time, had an issue with my food. Ordered a honey chicken sandwhich and it came and didn't taste right. I talked to one of the mangers and asked for a substitution he gladly helped, but then the substitution never came until I asked for a refund. They refunded my purchase and then brought out the substitution. Other than that snaffu it was a good time. Comfortable couches, clean lanes, lots of tvs and good music. Would definitely recommend this place.
Very fun place to bowl with family and friends. Has an arcade inside as well as a bar area.
This place is fun. My kids always enjoy themselves when we come here. It can be crowded sometimes, so I suggest you give them a quick call and see what the wait time is. There have been times when we've had no wait time, waited an hour or have been asked to come back later as a summer camp of 200 kids were about to show up! I recommend their LARGE soft pretzel. It's $20, but so delicious and a great snack for my 3 kids and myself. The staff I've come across have all been kind and helpful. There's a bar to o
Made a reservation for a group, paid for the Kingpin package. It was a bit pricey, but we really got what we paid for! The food & drinks were great, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We were celebrating a birthday and they even decorated the table where they served our entrees? little things like that are truly memorable and thoughtful. Overall loved the experience and I would recommend it for all ages (especially for 21+ groups? cheers!).
We reserved a lane but were late because of traffic. Krissy and Taylor helped us keep our full time and made our bowling experience so fun! The food was delicious, the staff was courteous, and friendly and the drinks were perfect! Can't wait to bowl again soon!
Before I go into detail about this review I just wanted to let you all know that I made a one-star review about 4 or 5 months ago about this location. I made that review because this place was in pretty crappy shape and needed a lot of hard work. Well, over the course of 5 months I still kept coming here and over the course of those five months this place is incredibly improved. It's pretty impressive the machines are in MUCH Better condition. The only problems I have are ball returns every 20 frames or
Attended a company sponsored event. The experience was great. Easily got shoes that were newer, updated lanes and balls, catered food was delicious, modern and clean inside. And a bonus arcade card was a fun way to kill time when not actively bowling.
Always an excuse why we can't get a lane for night strike bowling. They won't even put our name on a list for a lane saying everything is reserved. What a scam. When we called to confirm that there would be lanes open for night strike they failed to mention they were all reserved except for one lane. We got here an hour early. All of a sudden that 1 lane is now also magically reserved. Don't waste your time at this place.
Staff is very misinformative about the pricing and very rude. Also didnt offer in any way to fix the situation. just looked the other way and kept saying it's not his fault when it was and instead of fixing or finding a solution just decided to look at me like an embarrassed idiot cuz he knew he was wrong Just remember its per person on the game not PER GAME with shoes
This place is seriously so amazing!! This was such a special night with my family and they went out of their way to make us feel like we were a priority and got us everything we needed! If you want a fun place for family fun where everyone can have a not a good but a great time both of the managers were so helpful and the staff was super nice. Everyone did an amazing job!! I wish I could give ten stars !!!
The alley is nice and bar is good. Don't care for the pins on cables.
Overall expensive, but worth it. Great Lanes, great ball selection, great food choices, plenty of drinks to choose, it looks like it would be fun to host an event there. The arcade had a decent amount of games. We had a great time!
Good parking, good service, and tons of lanes. Rental shoes were clean and balls were aplenty. Having more space to put the extra balls on the lane rack would be good. We played 3 games and had several balls on our lane we couldn't find anywhere to go. The bathrooms could have been a tad cleaner, though.
So nice ! Really love the remodeled look and full bar. We had a ton of fun! Big nice sofas with new everything!
I wanted to share the excellent experience my team & I had last night at Bowlero SM!! I booked a party to say farewell to some of our tenured employees going out of state to attend college & one who is joining the military. Kryssi Brewer, the Events Manager & her team far exceeded our expectations. I was blown away by her personalized approach. She made sure her team was ready to assist us, introduced herself, helped us w what to expect, asked what we were celebrating & made sure everyone felt special. S
I love that the revamp this place. Good food and a lot of family fun. My daughter next birthday party will be here.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
