Lucky Strike Rockville

Lucky Strike Rockville

Reviews Summary

Bowlero offers a mixed experience with many praising its clean, family-friendly atmosphere, fun arcade games, and attentive staff (especially manager Jermaine). Food quality varies but some find it surprisingly good. However, complaints highlight high prices, inconsistent service (sometimes rude or slow), poorly maintained lanes (pins on strings, greasy surfaces), and excessive noise. While many enjoy memorable outings, others feel it’s overpriced for the quality, particularly serious bowlers. Overall, it’s a decent spot for casual fun but struggles with consistency in service and upkeep.

Customer Reviews

They got great deals but it's just that tables were pretty dirty and the restrooms haven't been maintained well. If they work on that it? can potentially be a 5 star place

Ambiance was good, employees were nice. We ordered a beer tower and chips wich took about 20 mins though. It was not overly busy on this particular Sunday eve at 930ish

Rates are good, staff is nice, facility is fine, but those bowling balls are awful! Hard to grip. The thumb holes arent a good size, and the edges of the holes are so rounded you can hardly hang onto them. Maybe it's a trick to make you spend less time there? My hands got tired much faster than they usually do. Also... Pins on strings suck. It's an abomination.. no I'm not celebrating the strike I got when the string from one pin knocked down the last pin standing, that's dumb as hell!

Before this visit the last time I went was right before the pandemic (Feb 2020). My only issue was I didn't realize I was charged for 8 bowlers instead of 4. This was my fault as I should have been paying attention as the young lady looked new & young. We had bought so much food and drinks that the total looked correct. To this visit. For two pizzas(cheese & pep), a pitcher of soda and a side of wings was about $62(including tax) I'm not going to include my tip. The pizzas are much smaller but the price is

This location is just not great. They are definitely understaffed. Which means long wait times for orders, if you can even get someone to come over. Staff doesn't seem interested in being there. The bathrooms are very dirty! Food and drinks are a little below average. The bowling/lanes are the only positive.

Neat-looking place tucked in an odd area behind a gas station and a shut down red lobster. We had several issues off the jump. My group of friends and I were inexplicably placed right next to a family of 6 when there were plenty of lanes available. We were moved 5 lanes down and the lane had issues resetting the pins and the bumpers would not go down. We shifted one lane over, finally finding a spot with no issues. Several of the arcade games needed maintenance. Just weren't working at all. The staff was in

Had my grandson birthday party there. The food was good and he enjoyed the games. The server was great and the kids had a great time. The arcade did cost a nice penny, but the kids are given a credit card with money on it for the games.

I had a wonderful experience at Bowlero. I hosted a teen birthday party there for my daughter and it was a blast. The ease of booking the party online was quite easy. The professionalism and customer service was outstanding. Great time, fun time and the food was good. My daughter and friends had a great time. Definitely will be going again.

We had a great time last night. There was 9 of us and we were celebrating Christmas between 2 families. We had some festive accessories on and the manager noticed it. We could not get 2 bowling lanes together unfortunately. The manager saved the day without us asking. The bartender Victor was also extremely nice. We will definitely be back. Fun night. Stayed for 4 hrs.

If I could I would've gave it a 4.5 stars because the atmosphere was amazing the music was fun the lights and everything were really really cool for my first time going. The only problem I had was with me and my family's lane kept messing up after a few bowls to the point we had to switch lanes entirely. But other than that everything else was really fun I would love to go here again soon.

We recently had my son's 7th birthday party here and it was SUPERB. The staff was so helpful, professional, and really on top of things. The kids had SO MUCH fun. We loved being able to bowl then do arcade games (or go back and forth). The food was FANTASTIC and we would definitely recommend this for a party spot for others!

Once you book a lane it is no way to track your reservation. It is also hard to get help finding your reservation but they are quick to take your money once you reserve a lane. Don't book or do service with this place. I now have to go through my back do dispute charge. Terrible place.

Woof. Terrible lanes, terrible balls. If you're a casual bowler this is not good. They put all the effort in the "aesthetics" and have failed to maintain the actual bowling part of it. The pins are on strings like this is duck pins. And it's wow expensive. $30 for two games. Insane. Even for a place like this (a bowling place thays built on loud music and large TV screens) it's not good. Two stars because the beer was cold

Terrible management and customer service. Last week my wife and I were gonna go to Bowlero to celebrate my birthday, we had made a reservation earlier in the week and made a full payment. The day of the bowling reservation my six month old son wound up having a fever of 103? and was very sick, we ended up keeping him home to keep an eye on him and make sure he wasn't needing to go to an ER. I tried calling Bowlero And sent him an email asking if I could change my reservation. Four days went by and I still h

Friday Night, Bowling @ Bowlmor??Had Wonderful Time, With The Family. There is a Little Wait. When Reserving!!! But be patient with Staff...As They Do The Best In Taking care of There Customers in a Orderly Fashion..Wonderful Memories With Family ls What Matter's @ Bowlmor Rockville ??????????Staybless and Safe all Staff Members and Employees ??

Pins are on strings and lanes were greased horribly. I've never bowled on lanes like this (besides duckpin). My normal hook shot was in the left gutter halfway down the lane. Nice place for children to bowl but if you care about your score at all or are a serious bowler this is not the place for you.

Attended my nephew's birthday party here. It was fun. With an online reservation, we were offered food, pizza, fries and chicken nuggets, birthday cake and juice refillable. Then we had access to 2 bowling tabs for the duration of the reservation. It was a great experience. Good for family hanging out and chilling on a weekend.

Celebrated a birthday..the section was prepared and ready for food. Chicken tenders, spinach dip and crispy pita bread was on point. Andrea our server was attentive to our needs. Managers were great and let us stay longer past our 2 HR time with a complimentary free hour and 15 min to bowl any time. We asked if we could honor it then and stay longer and they agreed. The drinks were strong. The blue long Island had way too much sour though. Would taste better with sprite. The mai tai was just ok. Order a dri

This place is great! We had so much fun!! Jermaine is wonderful and so helpful! We cannot wait to come back!

As an introvert, I was nervous coming in on $2.99 Tuesdays? But as a broke introvert trying to have a date night, I didn't have a choice LOL. We walked in, and it was a light traffic type of night. This was most likely due to the heavy rain, but the odds were in my favor (thank the lawd!!!) It was like VIP night for us, we got our own bowling lane far away from everyone else and we had staff occasionally checking on us and bringing us food and drinks whenever we wanted. I had an amazing time, first time bowl

Was disapointed to find out it was double the price if you reserved ahead of time per the company policy. Employees were nice but service was intermittent and hard to get something as simple as a napkin to continue to bowl after they brought food.

It was busy and we weren't sure we were going to be able to get a lane but then the manager Jermaine stepped in and really was patient and made it work out. Gave all our little kids stuffed animals and made the whole evening a great experience. Super nice guy. Great customer care!

Not sure if it's the new management but superb the Buffalo hot wings were fire. The drinks were strong atmosphere is definitely worth it.

Nice fun place, been going there for 12 years. The bathroom where not clean and the service was very slow. It's very expensive. But the food was pretty good :)

We celebrated my son's 8th birthday here. The customer service was outstanding, and our host was very attentive to all the guests. We were very impressed with the way everything turned out . Loved the setup, and all the food was fresh and hot. We will be back !

I loved every time my family and I can here it was amazing fun and the employee's their are very awesome

It's got everything you could want from a bowling alley: poorly oiled lanes, absentee staff, bad lighting and music, and unwashed beer glasses. Everything is perfect except it's way overpriced. Bowlero continues to reduce their services (they are now installing string pins on every lane) and increase their prices.

Great experience!! Went for my daughter's birthday and the staff was phenomenal! Will definitely go back.

First off the web site said they didn't have any lanes open. I called and asked for lane reservation and was told a lane would be available. So we went. Upon arrival we were told they were no lanes meanwhile over 10 empty lanes available. As in not being used. So we told the front counter that we had a reservation and they told us NO we don't do reservations. So someone didn't get it right. We got shoes $12.00 for shoe rental. Wow. Than we got our lane and headed to enjoy an evening of bowling. Upon ente

This place is totally overpriced. I had such slow service for any request. We asked to get the bumpers down three times before it happened. I ordered a burger and it took 30 minutes and me going to the management to come out. I don't plan on going back which such horrible service.

Great time ringing in NYE here. Jermaine and his team took excellent care of us - and everyone else here on a very busy night. Look forward to coming back.

They charged us by hour instead of by game. Tried to tell us it's. Cheaper. But the game kept stalling. Pins kept needing to be reset. At one point I flagged a manager over because the pin guard just stayed down and out game was halted after we purchased more time. Sad they're the only alley in town. It's not worth it.

We went here for a work event. The staff was friendly, it was clean and affordable!

We wait for like 2 hours.. the people in the front desk are terrible customer service.. you ask very nicely and they respond rude They think they're very important

The music is so dang loud. It's not a club, it can be turned down. I have to lean in and yell to have a conversation.

Helped run a private event here. The manager was attentive and space was great! It was a lot of fun. They cleared food and empty plates quickly!

The place is great and clean. Free of any trash and hazards. The only thing is that sometimes customer service can be a little rude, but nonetheless it's a great family place. Check it out for yourself!

Went for my son's Birthday. Staff was super helpful. Food was good! Kind of a rock n' bowl atmosphere. Spendy, but what isn't these days. Fun times were had!

My daughter wanted to bowl for her birthday and Bowlmor was the nearest to our home. Overall, we had a good time. The music was great, atmosphere was festive, and the food service timely. However, there were several random bowling balls in our section that were never cleared, we did not receive any plates when our food was delivered so we had to scrounge for extra napkins for the bones from our wings, and no one came to check on our satisfaction with the service.

Fun place to bowl with arcade games and drinks. Wide open parking spot. They have specials throughout the week including low priced games on Sunday nights after 6 pm. Friendly staff and well maintained lanes. Great place to bring the family

Great family fun all around!! The bowling alley is up to date and has lots of tech features not found in a lot of other locations (Gaithersburg). The music was upbeat/current pop that my daughter and I enjoyed singing along to as we bowled ?? We visited during the day time but I am really interested in seeing what their glow-night events look like. The cost of our outing did not break the bank and the food was top notch ???? Highly recommend the ice cream sundae (pictured)!

Service was a tad lacking. We waited for a lane despite some bring open. Chipped our personal bowling ball. Overall still had fun.

Don't go if you want to bowl for real. No oil on lanes and strings on pins. Food is good, bowling is horrible, and the arcade is mediocre.

I had a good time with the kids , but server she was just not taking care of costumer , she was more into some friends that came bowling smn ???????

Liked bowling here. Didn't really like the ID policy that they had but having an out of state license I talked with a manager about it and was cleared to drink. We had a couple issues with the balls getting stuck. The waiter that came by us was absolutely fantastic! We wanted a special order and he delivered on what we asked for!!!!

This place treats you like crap-crap-crap. When I walked in, I was told there were no lanes and had to wait for 30 minutes when not even half of the bowling alley was occupied (but probably because I purchased Groupon) so we played some games. Hard to stay idle with young kids there. When we got the lane, it was mal-functioning, the score board miscalculated, skipped players, gave us wrong scores constantly. When I asked the staff to come and fix our lane as it wasn't setting up the pins, no one ever came.

The experience is pleasant with games. Service was slow. Ordered fountain drinks and took at least 20 min.

It was pretty cool. Kids love it. Definitely coming back

Need a more diverse music selection. We got the huge fishbowl drink. The minus 1 star is because the bartender palmed our straws at the part we drink from stirred the drink with our straws after touching every bottle of liquor, counter, doors, ice scoop, soda spout, etc and got mad because I asked for new straws. Servers were nice and attentive.

Our 1st time here and we loved it! The place is clean, the staff is welcoming and friendly. The food is tasty. I love the variety in music played. The arcade has fun games to play as well. Overall, highly recommend it. We plan to visit soon!

We and our friends had wonderful time. Food is surprisingly delicious! Will definitely go again!

Have been to this location various times however had a wonderful experience here today. Isaac accommodated the needs of my autistic child without being asked and kept checking to make sure we didn't need anything. Grateful for his kind gesture today and will definitely visit again.

A perfect location to hangout with friends. The servers are always attentive and double check on our food. They're extremely kind and always on top of their tasks. We've had a few issues with some of the lanes, but whenever we addressed it to our server(s) they were quick to report it and the mechanics would fix it immediately. We're always appreciative of the Bowlero employees :)

Lots of fun during a work bowling event. Great service and staff accommodations. The food was ok.

Great time bowling with family..

We had a great time with the family. It was such a good time we closed the place.

It's hard to get help when you need it (we had some technically difficulties with our monitor and needed the bumpers to come down), but we had a great time!

Very clean and balls are all organized, so you don't have to go search for them. Super clean bathroom.

A nice clean spot with Bowling & Video/Arcade Games which is a big Plus. Plus they have a touch screen to order you food & drinks

Had a great time with coworkers. Ordered the chicken tenders. They were really dry. (The group tried them and felt the same way) The boneless chicken wings were also dry. Drinks were good. The lane we had kept needing to be reset often unfortunately. Our waiter checked on us once or twice but we had to track down the waiter on numerous occasions. Other locations are better but this one is close to home.

Took my church choir to this place. Overall, it was a nice experience. Looks modern with nice amenities. While the staff was wonderful, the first contact could be improved. Don't wait for the customer to chase you to get some service. I realize they were busy but as the only person standing there at that time, I expected a "hi, we'll be with you in a moment" instead of having to stand there looking lost. I'm giving them a 5 star rating despite the above. Like I said, the staff and the food were great and we

Came here on a Saturday afternoon (3/2) with my sister to do some bowling. When we got there the person at the front desk was super nice and politely let us know it would be about 45min - 1 hour wait for a lane to open up since we didn't book ahead of time. No problem, we went to go kill some time but it was honestly closer to 1 hours and 45mins that we ended up waiting. When we got to our lane there was a ball stuck in the gutter and half the bumpers were up but only half. The bathroom was pretty dirty (t

Absolutely terrible. Our first lane was broken. Then moved to a another lane- it was broken(pins wouldn't reset, the balls get stuck in the gutter, the balls roll backwards towards you, etc). Tried to use the arcade- the machine wouldn't take our credit card. Now I've discovered they charged our card when they shouldn't have bc a credit we had was supposed to be applied. So now we have to spend time going back to get them to give us a refund. The staff doesn't seem to care. It was absolutely the worst exper

I was here Saturday night 6/22 and it was around 11:45 the employee came to my table and told me and my family that they were about to turn off our game in a few seconds. When I asked why, don't you'll close at 12? His response was they (him and his coworkers) wanted to leave on time. I am not sure what time you'll schedule your employees to work until but if the closing time is at 12am then please allow your paying customers to play until that time. Customers should come first at all times not employees wa

Out of the three times I've been there, two of the times the lanes malfunctioned. Tool up a lot of my group's time in fixing it repeatedly. The service if the staff is also slow. We didn't get our ordered drinks even after we finished our game.

Last week, my family and I visited this location - it was a terrible experience. After paying $126 to rent the lane for 1.5 hours (minimum amount of time), our bowling lane continually malfunctioned. We had to keep trying to find someone to help us, and each time, we had to sit and wait while it was being fixed. We easily spent 30 minutes, if not more, waiting to be able to use the lane. Within the 1.5 hours, my family of four could get ONE bowling game in. When our time was up, I was appalled when the mana

First 10 min everything amazing food good we having a good time, after that we have the same problem over and over lane just getting stuck. last time it happens they take over. 15 min to fix and just blow us off by saying ?it happens.? We spent money on alcohol and food and this is the customer service we are getting?? Not spending my hard earned money here again. Manager didn't help the issue at time and didn't even tell us sorry about the situation.

People are kind. But some lanes do not work well(They failed to off the gutter protector).

The service could be way better and no one greeted us when we walked in. The food was alright though. The real problem though was that the screen that showed the score of the bowling game didn't even show the scores correctly

I celebrated my birthday at this location and they were absolutely wonderful. The set up was more than I expected and the team was just all around amazing and attentive. We had an amazing time. Shout out to Michael, Jeren, and Chino for an amazing time and amazing service!

Saturday night rock'n bowl was not too crowded and very fun! Went again yesterday 2/14/19 (Thursday evening) and I have to add how friendly the staff is and loved the atmosphere! We had a ball!!!

Brought our kids here a few times. It is clean and well maintained. The staff are nice and helpful. The little arcade is also fun. My kids especially like the vending machine used to exchange tickets for prizes. Food is not bad. Overall a win for a rainy family day.

Went there 3 weeks ago and had an amazing experience. And just went there recently couple days ago and had wort experience. Manager that basically represents the place let himself to call my significant other stupid when we just got there. So if you trying get unlimited bowling you can't make a reservation it works only for walk-in?s. We made reservations fist time we went there and we had unlimited bowling. This time they gave us one 1 and half hour which makes no sense. If I could I would put lower than 1

Went with my boyfriend and some friends and we purchased their promotional package that comes with a few rounds of bowling and preloaded cards for the arcade. Had a fun time bowling, no complaints. Had some beer and appetizers while we did so and we all enjoyed the food When we went to use our cards for the arcade, two of the basketball games took the credits from my boyfriend?s card and didn't let him play. This happened back to back. When he brought this to the staffs attention all they could do is apol

I went here over the weekend. I've never been so disappointed in a bowling place. First, our touch screen for the ordering system wasn't working so we weren't able to order any food or drinks. We were able to top a button to call over a server but no one came over. We went over to get them and let them know what's going on. They told us someone would be by and it took 20 minutes before someone came over. A nice young man came over and let us know that his shift was ending so we would have a different waiter

Had a great time with colleagues using the private room. The food was typical bowling alley food.. okay... it served the purpose while we were there.

The best place for a kids birthday celebration. Bowl..... eat.....play games repeat!

Our only issue was with our lane, bowling pins dropped down without complete set several times during the space of 3 games. Service was a 5 star grade. Place spotless. Next time I would definitely be much more aware of issues related to the mechanical aspects of 100 % of all bowling pins and lane mechanics in general. Regardless of the issues, I would try again.

You would think as being the only one in business for some good ol? bowling in the area, the first person that greets you is a man named Renzo. Off the bat there is not pleasant greeting from his part as we are walking in. He made a big deal that we came in with coffee cups and he told us repeatedly to throw away the cups to the point he did not start the transaction until the cups were all thrown away. (Protecting their business I guess) but he definitely handled it wrong. The last bit of issues came from

Great fun for whole family. Can reserve ahead, good comfort food, all kinds of drinks (both alcohol and non- alcoholic. Nice new Arcade area with the latest games. 8 lanes of VIP area. The best thing is the excellent service we received ??.

Nice arcade (came for the buy 2 games of bowling, get the 3rd for $5.50 plus a $5 arcade card), decent food, however we were told the bumpers needed to either be up for all bowlers, or not at all, we were not able to pick and choose specific bowlers to have the bumpers for. With a mixed group of kids and adults, this was kind of a bummer. Also, this location is a bit more unkempt/smelly compared to the Columbia, MD location.

Renzo H, doesn't have good service, we had a very bad experience, we did not even have 3 minutes to in this place when he blocked us the game. It's not fair because we had already paid. Then we wanted to go somewhere else, and he said we had to call or see for ourselves how we received the refund. Refused to give a refund when we did not use the service. The worst service we have received with this person "Renzo". ????????????

Was there for a kids bday party, we were in a separate party area. Enough seating for our group, easy to set up bowling sets, and the snacks were fresh (I ate mozzarella sticks and mini egg rolls). Alley was nice and clean, cool music to set the ambience. Would recommend overall for a fun time out with friends or family.

$$$ but comfortable, the employees truly want you to enjoy yourself and come back again soon. Today we felt take care of, and received a Christmas gift which was so kind. Very thoughtful.

Maybe you guys could cater to everyone with the music and not just play straight up hood rap. I like it sometimes but when OutKast comes on and u skip it to go right back to the same gangster rap, It shows you don't care about all your clients. How about you let everyone who's paying enjoy the place and not just play trap music.

Recently went with my kids, nieces and nephew to have some fun. I had not been in at least 10 years, but age is starting to show in the place. Service is lacking and slow. I wanted 2 lanes, was told I needed more people to justify the 2 lanes. I am still scratching my head as to how is that good business. Especially considering the place was empty. You cannot get the rails for the kiddos and remove them for adults, it was all on or all off all the time. They do have an arcade with some games for the kids wh

We had a great time bowling with some friends on a Sunday afternoon at Bowlero. The service was great and the staff was very friendly and attentive. My only complaint was that it was almost $500 for two lanes of bowling, two pizzas, and a pitcher of coke. We decided to go bowling instead of going to Top Golf because of the cost but in the end there was no difference at all! :P

Not necessarily the best I have seen, but we had a great time, the staff was responsive, and ordering food and drinks from the console was convenient (though it responded slowly after credit card was inserted). Anyway, we had a fun and easy date night! And we will be back!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
