We haven't been bowling in years so I decided to take my husband here for his birthday for a few (kidless) games. First, when did we start having to make reservations to bowl? Secondly, when did it start costing $5x.xx for two people to bowl?! Crazy prices! But it was nice and spacious. Menus at our lane were disgusting and covered in spilled drinks. We had just come from dinner so didn't eat but food options looked pretty good, we might try it out next time. Drinks were enough, service was slow, having to
Strikes has been around for many years. The new owner of Strikes is Bowlero. It offers 50 lanes of ten pin bowling, 3 pool tables, 1 indoor shuffleboard table, and an arcade. The Bowling area has been freshly updated with new equipment, new lighting, tons of TV's, and comfortable furnishings. The Halftime Bar & Grill has been closed and turned into the pool table area. This area also holds a dance floor and bar area. This area is still under renovation for future additions. Looks like some beer brew vats ar
Great place to hang out and celebrate. Thank you Strikes for hosting the event. Excellent service and family friendly atmosphere. The crew and manager Anthony were Fantastic!!!
Wow, we hosted a corporate event here at Strikes yesterday. Our host was Stacy. She was amazing. She was our hostess, bartender, manager, photographer, she was everything. I tried to tip her and would not let me. I have to say thank you for such an amazing event!
I'm a beginner bowler, and I felt so welcomed at this alley! The staff took the time to explain the basics and helped me pick out the right equipment. The lanes were well-maintained, and the automatic scoring made it easy to keep track of my progress. I was impressed by the overall value?affordable pricing with great quality service. It's a wonderful place for both beginners and seasoned bowlers.
Church family outing! We all had a great time bowling. The pizza was good, thin crust and cheesy. The chicken was juicy and crunchy. A wide variety of drinks. The arcade had a lot of games for the older kids but not much for the smaller kids. Everyone had fun still. Love and laughter always!
Would not recommend. Went bowling with family from out of town and each lane we were assigned to had some sort of issue. After changing lanes 4 times we called it a day. Also ordered some food and it took forever to get. Lanes should be checked. Never had that many issues. Was my first time there. Not sure I would ever go back.....
Had a GREAT time hanging out with my THUNDER peeps today!!! Great bowling, great atmosphere, and great food. It also helped that it didn't break the bank. ?? Thank you, Stacy, and crew for taking care of us. Felt like we were VIP at 9AM. We had the whole side to ourselves.
Almost sounded like a club from the parking lot. Music was loud, but the music choice changed a lot. One minute, it's rap. The next, it's country, rock or pop. The place is very big and spacious. Super clean and bright. One room for arcade games. Another room for pool tables. The back has bowling, dining, and a bar. All the staff were chill and friendly. The only issue I had was that my bowling alley stopped working properly after a couple of rounds, and it somehow lost 2 balls. Otherwise, it was great! The
I've been hitting the lanes/leagues and bar/food at Strike?s for years and have nothing but great things to say! The staff are always attentive, helpful and awesome folks. The lanes are clean and it's just an all around great venue for kids and adults alike. Special shout out to the awesome managers Nathan and Stacy, they are always so welcoming and a joy to interact with. Al and Riley, the MVPs of keeping the lanes running fantastic. Tami and all of the bartending/serving staff, you guys rock! There are so
Waitress was MIA the whole time literally had to search for her just so we could get refills, the process took 40-45 min since she forgot after we told her the second time. It wasn't that busy where we would?ve understood, we actually caught her hanging out a few times while we were borderline dehydrated. At least communicate with us. Other than that, everyone was cool and the bowling alley and arcade itself were fun!
Rarely leave reviews but I now rely upon reviews before making most decisions so here I am lol. Strikes is by far the BEST bowling alley in the area. My family tried AMF which was fun and surprisingly had great pizza, but as far as all around cleanliness and enjoyment for the entire family, Strikes had so much more to offer in regards to food, cleanliness, safety, fun video game/video dance-off area, separate area with a beverage bar, and a super cool 'night time' effect where the lights went off and ever
Our party of 7 were celebrating a friend's bday, and was originally planned elsewhere... but that "other" place had a 2.5hrs wait, so we came here. EXCELLENT backup plan, if you ask all of us! Not only was there a fun, upbeat, very clean environment, but the customer service from EVERYONE, but ESPECIALLY from HEATHER (at the concession stand) was top notch! We brought an outside bday cake, but forgot bday candles & lighter... HEATHER was a doll, immediately provided the essentials (including plates & utensi
Not bad enjoyed myself immensely food was actually quite tasty, came to listen to southbound which is a band and the acoustics were really good. They need to hire some more help. Poor bartender was working her tail feather off. Place looks nice bathroom seem to tad small up front.
The lanes are clean and well maintained. Nice arcade and bar attached makes this a good place to hang out for several hours. The birthday package includes some really good burgers and food. I'm impressed!
Went here last night, have not been here in about 2 years. I was pleasantly surprised how updated it is. I had an amazing night. This location was clean, staff was friendly and the drinks were made really good by the bartenders. There was a huge even but even with that the wait time was not bad at all. I will definitely come back.
We have been visiting this bowling alley for many years and it still looks great! One year my wife surprised me by renting out their private bowling area and it was a great time. I believe they still have a fun arcade area and either have a restaurant or some kind of a dance club near the front entrance. Make sure to call ahead and get there early to beat the rush.
Really fun place! Two rows of lanes, arcade games and a bar and grill. Their iced coffee drinks were pretty good, extremely sweet though. Their nachos weren't good at all. Good experience overall and a great place to bowl. Only $5 per game
We did the birthday party deal for the kids. The kids bowled for two hours for $230. Pizza, chicken tenders, fries, root beer, Sprite and water were all included. Also, each (5 kids) got $7 on each arcade card. We spent another hour there, although the $7 didn't go very far. We needed to add more money to each card since the games are expensive. It was a great time and my son really enjoyed it.
Oh my goodness. We haven't been bowling in years and this alley was perfect. The server was attentive and fast with our order. Plus kept checking on us if we needed anything else. The atmosphere was FUN and lit nice. We'll be back again when we are in town visiting.
Eh so so location. The management/leaders definitely need to brush up on their customer service skills. We waited at the checkout lane while an employee checked in 5 families. Mind you they all lined up after we had already been standing there at the checkout lane and she was helping a customer in the check in spot. We confirmed with the manager? Who looked like he was training another manager? Idk titles. He just said yeah that's the checkout lane and turned back around. Ideal leadership would have quick
Plenty of parking around the area. The bowling alley was clean and very well maintained. The arcade looked great. Staff was friendly. The bowling balls were decent and not all beat up. The scoring boards are fairly modern. I came for an event and everything seemed to go really smoothly. I will come back next time that bowling bug hits.
staff your arcade correctly or put a buzzer over there or have someone check every 5-10 minutes to see if people are waiting for the prize counter, really shouldn't have to go searching for an employee , two people at the bowling register one doing nothing but smiling and looking into the distance in a daze , unreal
Great spot for kids? birthday parties. We've hosted there and gone to others there. Something for everyone and the food is actually pretty solid.
Took our daughter and friends here for her birthday. They had lots of fun and the staff were very friendly. She enjoyed the pin you can purchase.
It was my first time here. It was nice and family friendly. Our only thing was the food service was a little slow, other then that it was a good time.
TLDR: A normal birthday excursion ended up being a magical night my kids won't stop talking about. Shout out to Luis! In a million years, even if I planned it, I don't think I could EVER recreate the situation my twins have been raving about as the best day of their lives (????). Luis really took something I remember being casual for myself as a kid and made permanent fans of the game out of mine! Their 9th birthday was coming up (right after Valentines), but I work the day of, so I compiled a list of nor
Worst experience ever. I was a birthday party guest and our group of about 15. Food was served very slowly with waits of a half hour between servings. The quality of food was lower than convenience frozen food. The children were barfing from the food. When we let management know that people in our party got sick, he immediately accused that perhaps we had too much alcohol in our party. Our children had NO Alcohol.
Great costumer service, first time here and my family felt welcome and happy. My kids were very happy and the food was delicious ??. Bowling ?? was awesome ??
Great experience. Facilities are clean. Staff was great. Very helpful and welcoming. Took the kids and a wonderful time.
This is our home away from home! Amazing staff, clean open space, newly renovated, can't say enough great things! The lounge seating right on the lane is super cozy and elegant. Great for families! The staff has been on point since day one! Stacy (league captain) front desk-Zack, Andrew & Tom. Bar-Nicole & Tammi, just to name a few. The snack bar crew is fast friendly & they even bring your food right to your lane. Food is always hot and is very tasty. The clean up crew goes above and beyond to quickly and
Great amusements! Bowling, arcade, pools, food and beer and neon nights! Have fun!
Everything is expense these days, in my opinion, but Stikes is fun regardless. Bowling, arcade, bar, corn hole. If that is what you like, Stikes has great facilities and takes care of us when we are there.
Nathan, the manager, is abrasive and unhelpful. His condescending words and actions are done with impunity due to his position. Administration of Strikes, reconsider your choice in who the face of your business is.
Anthony and the team over at stikes bowling in Rocklin killed it for my son's 18th birthday! Great customer service and the team were super friendly! 100% coming back here for sure!
Today was a great day for my sons 10th bday party at Strikes, the pizza, chicken strips, fruit, and cheeseburger sliders were amazing. The gentleman helping us was AWESOME and if we have more parties in the future I'll def be asking for him and nobody else l.
Fun time but limited choice of ball weights and finger sizes. Took children, but bumpers were not working.
So fun and amazing. Brings you back to the fun times qoth friends and kids. Bring the kids makes it even funnier to see them hit the pins.
I bowl league here weekly, and the staff are okay, people. The food is good bowling alley food. The kids have a great place to play arcade games, too.
Overall, the place is not a bad place to have fun with family or friends. But sometimes there are certain shoals, such as few staff, and you have to wait a very long time for the waiter or when the food is cooked. Or, for example, very often bumpers for children do not work. Or there is one person at the check-in / check-out and you also have to wait a long time until you are served. But despite these disadvantages, I still recommend this place!
This place is crazy expensive $11 a game & their prices aren't posted any where, they hold your card on file until your done bowling. It is very dark so it's hard to see the lane markers. It was fun, but $55 to bowl is crazy. If we want to bowl again we will go else where. The music is so loud too so be prepared for that. The bathrooms were pretty gross as well.
There is a reservation required, we went on a Sunday and didn't know that since we didn't visit after 2020. 2-3 hour wait, we just ended up playing in the Arcade. I ordered fries for kids they sent to wrong person and it took so long and kids got little more hungrier for a meal that it was time for us to leave because I wouldn't risk ordering more food there, so I just asked for a refund.
We had my daughter's 10th birthday there and our hosts were amazing. I don't have their names and totally wish I could praise them. I will be calling to try and find out. They made it fun and easy!!!! I just wish we either extended our time on the invite or knew the arcade would be last since we ran out of time after cake and presents and all the parents were there for pickup.
The price is a little high, but the experience I spent her eis full of fun.
Arrived at 4pm. Told 1-2hr wait. After spending 1.5hr in the arcade, we went to check in and we were told it would be ANOTHER 2 hours. They had our number to call/Text at any time with this update. We won't be back.
Was amazing my daughter and her friend and siblings had a super day my daughter 15th birthday party was awesome thanks to bowlero strikes staff that were super professional and kind love it I highly recommend.
The family and I had fun here on a Thursday night. Our biggest issue was the lack of social distancing. They could have at least had a buffer lane between parties, but this place was very full on a Thursday night and definitely didn't feel safe. They also only required masks when walking around but allowed removal of masks in lane which is almost pointless since they do not enforce and are cramming hundreds of patrons in the building. Placer County is in the red tier and this looks like one of the many bus
The customer service is top notch and the food is sooo good! Loaded fries and pretzel bites were to die for so....don't miss out ?? The arcade is a great time for every age and although a tad expensive for some games it's worth staying for. Air hockey was my daughter's favorite game of course, talk about a throwback!
Our daughter & son-in-law had a birthday party for one of our grandsons yesterday at Strikes. It was great fun. The service was friendly and helpful. Bowling, the arcade & the food made this party a success.
It's a big place, every time I've gone there I've had problems with the balls getting stuck in the trolley or pins getting stuck in the gutter, which is annoying but not enough to ruin the fun.
A pretty fun place. A large amount of lanes good bars, pretty good food. A little loud so don't expect to have any meaningful conversations. Very clean and well kept equipment.
Grown up going to strikes unlimited. The last few years haven't always been the best and we've questioned coming back. My daughter wanted to go, happy we did. Nick was awesome and made it such a great experience. Glad to see new ownership is taking back that family friendly atmosphere.
I had a party here for my 6 year old son and it was amazing!! 10/10!! The food was really good. And staff was friendly and very on top of it all. My son and his friends had a great time!! I can't wait to come back.
Went on a whim Saturday night around 9:30. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was blacklight. It was crowded but thankfully a steady flow of groups leaving and new bowlers arriving, so I don't think the wait for a lane was that long. At this time it appeared to be mainly adult couples out on dates, I only saw a couple families with kids. (I took this photo around 10:30pm as we were leaving, the peak attendance had passed by that point)
It was an appreciation event from Ascot Family Dental (thank you!) and it was fun.
Awesome arcade. I was really surprised to see some Japan only arcade games here in the US. Games like Sound Voltex, Museca, Pop N' Music and Pump it up. There are even traditional fighting games like Marvel vs Capcom 2 and all of the orignal Street Fighter. Very underrated arcade and I'm surprised these games are in a bowling alley.
The place is huge. What a good place bowl. , specially for familys. Good service through out the place.
Strikes is a lot of fun! I love the arcade and they have a sports bar where they will bring your food out to your lane when you order it. They also have a snack bar which is okay but the bar food is way better. They also have six and seven pound balls which is great for old people or little kids. They always have great beers on tap! Go on a Sunday morning they have like a happy hour type special but for bowling way cheaper than the rest of the time.
The staff is great. They usually are busy after 1 pm on the weekends, so get there early or walk in and expect to have them call you back. They have plenty of lanes, so they do get groups through fast. The longest I waited for a callback has been 45 minutes up to an hour. The food is ok, not horrible but not 5 star cuisine, which is A OK by me! It is a bowling alley for Pete's sake, so on the bowling alley scale, food is an 8/10... which for my snobbish views is pretty darn good. Beer is cold prices per
I had a reservation for 6 people that cost almost $300. Half my party the morning of reservation had a medical emergency and were in the hospital. I called to cancel and get a refund. I was told they don't do refunds and that I could get an in house credit or they could move my reservation. I decided to use the reservation for 3 people. When I got there I was told I would only get a $20.97 credit. They kept $120 of mine just because the other 3 people were in the hospital. Half way through our bowling time
It's fun. Went with family here and we had a blast and enjoyed our time here.
This is a fun spot to hang out.
Our visit was great.
Went bowling for our work party, the staff was helpful and made everything flow really well
Great place for the family. We came on a Saturday when they opened. They had no lanes available, which is understandable. Summer parties. So we spent a few hours playing in the game area. Which has games for all ages. Their prize selection is also good. We had their food and that too was decent for a bowling alley. Definitely will come back again
I had fun here with three whole family on Black Friday. They offered a good deal for 2 hours of bowling. Well maintained, fun atmosphere, family friendly.
So I came here to take the family bowling because there was a pretty good Groupon online , 6 bowlers w/ free shoe rentals about $75.00. Let's start with the food: BIG, NO, NO, NO ,NO NO!!! I would HIGHLY suggest to eat before you get there or after you leave. We were feeding 10 people, ages 3yrs - 50yrs, everyone was unanimous the food was NOT good. Plus, the prices are tooooo high for the amount you get (see the menu I attached) ex: pizza is one size 12 inches. Sodas are $5.50 each cup, yes with free refil
Strikes is probably the best bowling alley in Northern California for a bowler. The arcade is pretty nice if you have older kids, the lanes and the atmosphere is great. However, it is all overshadowed by their horrible service. I understand mistakes here and there, but management has told me that they are ?beta testers? for the scan & order feature they offer. which has led to events in the last 3-4 months where I've had at least 6 orders that did not arrive without me having to go up to them, usually 45 mi
The place is very nice in Rocklin location but four stars for never get call back from event team!
The greasiest french fries I have ever had. I guess I could have complained but I've heard too many stories. Several of the games didn't work in the game room. Not a great experience this time. Hope your experience. Is better.
My family and I come about once a week and every time we have great service! This most recent time Jose helped us and he was awesome! He went above and beyond to ensure that we had amazing service and a great time. I definitely recommend this place. My family loves it!
Fun and adorable. Great food and family friendly.
Fun but disorganized and expensive. Paid 150 for a lane on new years and was supposed to come with a pizza. We asked for the pizza 4 separate times and never got it. They were out of shoes and way understaffed. Not well managed at all.
Very clean and well-run! Friendly employees. The pin machines and ball returns were a bit buggy on lane 14, but not a big deal. That's what the reset is for. Not overly loud and very family-friendly. Their after 8pm rates on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday is $18/person for unlimited games which is an amazing deal!
Great layout and bowling experience the only reason I'm giving it a 2 star is the service was horrible. First no one came to take our order when we went back to place our order we didn't get it in time. We finally got food at the end of our second game (we only came to play one but because the food was so late we paid for another). When we got the food the order was wrong. Now the games are done but our food still hasn't come! This is so bad we came to relax and enjoy ourselves but couldn't!
Yesterday evening, a group of friends and I celebrated our buddy?s birthday here. It was a blast! We all agreed that we should shout out Audelia for her kindness, professionalism, and stellar service! Thank you very much for a wonderful evening. God bless y?all ???
Great fun! Went there for a business "meeting." Good service & atmosphere in the room with the 4 bowling lanes.
Great place!!! Family friendly has Food, bowl, play pool, arcade games great places to hang out!!
Had my son's birthday party here. It was great our hostess set up a whole buffet birthday table with his name in light up letters. The kids had a great time. Very affordable for everything you get. Definitely worth it.
Had a really good time with family, the staff was nice . We took 2 lanes for two hours. Had some pizza . Need to go out and do something with family this could be it.
cool place but an absolute rip off ? They charge $60 per game-A group of five of us spent $500 bowling including food and a few drinks. That's just not right. This is the Topgolf of bowling. Go somewhere else and don't Give your money to this overpriced corporation. It's bowling, not Disney land.
Had a private party, food was good, but the lanes kept glitching, one of them wasn't working at all and drinks took 30 minutes
Very nice place, lots to do, two big bars, LOTS of lanes, with comfortable seating. We ordered food for our group. Chicken tenders, Mac n cheese bites & artichoke dip. The chicken was good, Mac & cheese bites were ok, the artichoke dip was gross. I couldn't eat the dip, it tasted bland and seemed like it was either a frozen type of thing or something you mix with water to make it. Bartenders were very friendly and attentive.
I think it's important to post when you have positive experiences. I came with my Gf to bowl and the staff was very friendly and attentive. However, there ended up being quite a big issue with our food order. When we brought it to the kitchen manager, Gabriel?s attention, he MORE than made it right. I was very impressed by the customer service I received there. I felt very happy with the way things were handled and it went above what I would have asked for.
Very nice experience with the family. I will go again
Took the family here for a friendly couple rounds of bowling. If you can find the Groupon deals save yourself a little cash. But a great time!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
