Lucky Strike Melville

Lucky Strike Melville

Reviews Summary

This bowling alley receives mixed reviews, with many praising its clean, modern facilities, fun atmosphere, and attentive staff (especially one manager). Food and drinks are generally good, though pricey. However, some criticize high costs (per-person pricing, expensive concessions), inconsistent service (unfriendly staff, slow refills), and occasional lane issues. Families enjoy parties here, but complaints include poor handling of reservations, messy areas, and allergen mistakes. While great for casual outings, serious bowlers may dislike the synthetic lanes and pin behavior. Overall, it’s a solid choice for group events if budget isn’t a concern.

Came here for a birthday party mid day on a Saturday all the way from Brooklyn parking is great I had my baby she was not bothered by anything no loud noises bathroom was very clean staff was more than helpful food was good no complaints all the arcade games worked it was about 20 8-10 year olds and everyone had a good time I would definitely return to this location.

They just installed string pins. If you are even a semi-serious bowler and think it will be good enough to practice, you would be wrong. The pins simply behave unnaturally and it is not worth your time. Also, while my ball seemed to be reacting as if there was at least some oil on the lanes, my ball kept coming back dry. So I think they might use that synthetic lane material that doesn't require oiling as well. Place was nice, the lady that helped me was nice, and I'm sure it would be a fine place for a k

Celebrated my son?s 40th birthday here. We had such a fun time. Everything was very organized, food was surprisingly very good and everyone had a great time! Highly recommend!

Beautiful bowling alley! I don't come here often but I went yesterday & noticed they updated a lot of things! They have a full bar, tons of seating & a lot of lanes. This has to be the cleanest bowling alley I have ever been to. For 4 people to bowl 3 games, shoes included was about $110. The shoes were in excellent condition too. The food was decent & the service was quick. You are seated pretty closely to the people next to your lane but it's not the end of the world. I would definitely recommend this pl

It was my 1st time at this location. It was super clean and trendy. Nicely decorated with accents and would make a great 1st date idea. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I was there with a special needs child, and she asked if he would be more comfortable in his own shoes, which he would be. We didn't have to rent shoes and it made his transition much more smooth! I highly recommend this bowling experience

Best night ever! The staff all had smiles on their faces and were all eager to help. When I think about our experience with everyone at Melville only one word comes to mind?.Champions! I recommend the voodoo IPA, twice the flavor and twice the punch! Amazing food too. The food was to die for. Try the signature sampler, outstanding! Thank you Melville for a night to remember. Definitely see you again soon.

This was a really cool night. Came an evening when it was snowing and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Friendly staff and great pricing, we got unlimited games for $30 for both of us and that's including the shoes so not bad at all. Drinks were well priced and the mega cookie was pretty tasty as well. Lots of balls to select from and there's and arcade area as well with quite a few games to mist things up. Recommend anyone looking for a good relaxing time solo or with a group to try this out.

The overall experience was fun. We had a couple of minor issues that I deducted 1 star from the review because of them. The first issue we had was that our #10 pin would not setup 30% of the time?so we were constantly looking at a weird 9 pin arrangement and it just felt weird. For the money, I would have expected a fully working lane. The other issue is that we felt like the advertising was to fowl for 2 hours so when we were ending our 2nd game with 10 minutes to spare, we had a bunch of happy bowlers who

Had my 26th birthday here with a larger group of friends! Everything was AMAZING! Both Alexandria and Madeleine were great to book a party with. Our waitress the night of the event was incredible! & the bartenders were great! My friends and I had such a fun time!!!

Used to be slow, but given the low staff/large crowd understandable and still a lot of fun. I was so disappointed today. The only reason I'm giving a star is because the Bowlero Groupon is a good value, and they agreed to honor it since we purchased before the bowling alley changed hands. There were so many problems today, as detailed below. First problem was that they assigned all the lanes close together even though the alley was less than half full. So we got stuck next to a family with little kids who

This was a fun time . We went with our friends and genuinely it was nice. However I'm not crazy about the prices.... 69 bucks for 2 people 2 games and 1 bonus game at 1/2 price...... The way the games are priced per person and not at a group rate is crazy... You can easily spend almost 100 even with out food

Bowled at Lucky Strike of Melville and won on every level. Theresa was an amazing server and was an absolute joy to have as our server. Her recommendations on food and drinks were spot on. I wish i bowled better but the drinks dulled that pain. Best night out in a long time. Thank you theresa snd Lucky Strike of Melville. I only wish i could give more stars!

I come to a bowling alley to practice. I am not a social bowler. That being said I understand this particular alley is more of a social house than anything else but I still expect some understanding that I want to bowl on a decent condition. I'm done wasting my money and games here to be put on the driest conditions I may have ever experienced. If someone has a bag of balls and their own shoes and they frequent your bowling alley, maybe you should think to put them on a lane with oil considering that's what

Superb experience on every level. Food, drinks and staff were all excellent. Can't wait to return.

Legal robbery. 3 sodas were $20; the bartender literally apologized for the outrageous price. And they charge PER PERSON instead of per lane, so even though you're only taking up 1 lane, you get hosed for every single person you're with!! Might as well just put every person in your group on their own lane, it would cost you the same thing, and you'd also get to hose them back by taking up more space.

Bowlero is a fun and energetic venue that offers a modern twist on traditional bowling alleys. Here's a breakdown of my experience: ### Atmosphere Bowlero?s atmosphere is one of its standout features. The lighting is dim but vibrant, with neon lights adding a cool, retro feel. The d?cor is trendy, with large screens playing music videos or sports, which keeps the energy high. It's definitely a place that feels more like a social hangout than a typical bowling alley. ### Bowling Experience The bowling lane

Very nice, love the video game section, lots to play. Great food and very friendly service.

Honestly the place is not bad foods great but the manager is a b***h. I had a party of 6 and when i walked in the the place was already dead? i asked for two lanes but she decided to give my group and i a hard time. We made it work on one lane but if the bowling alley is dead on a monday then you should be more reasonable with customers.

Nice place to do something on a weeknight. Ordered a couple of drinks and played a few games. Decent pour on the drinks will definitely be going back

Take the family to bowlero Melville for the best time ever. Great staff! Can't wait to go back. Also a fun date night destination.

Besides the place being a little small, great customer service and polite staff. Lanes are nice enough, can be very oily at times.

They just installed those horrible string pins Guess we won't be going back here ever again Totally bummer bc I grew up bowling here Wake up bowlero, string pins are BS!!!

Pins are attached to strings was not a fan of that other wise food/drinks were good

Our bowling experience was fantastic, everything from good food to drinks was on point. Can't wait to come back real soon

Tonight I hosted a fundraising event here and all I can say is.. WOW!!!! My co-chair did all the emailing and Alexandria was very responsive with all our important and silly questions. During the event, we had multiple people checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We were also able to adjust our contract throughout the event based on our last minute attendees. AND they actually had ADORABLE party decor that they added along with a sign that said "Welcome LIRID".. I'm sure the sign they

Went to a birthday party here and it was such a fantastic experience! Our server was so helpful and attentive. Food was wonderful! Very clean and enjoyable experience. I don't think I've ever said that about a bowling alley!!

Fun times with good friends. If you like bowling in a casual environment you will have fun. We went on a Friday night and the DJ was playing great music. One small issue I had was that there were no ball racks for house bells. We had to ask groups next to us for balls they weren't using. Otherwise a solid experience. Staff was great. We will return.

Birthday party event. Food? ehh bowling shoes gross had to return twice because of broken laces and very dirty looking. bowling alley way too dark to bowl correctly. Not a good Experience. Gave it 2 stars because the kids seemed to enjoy themselves

Awesome place and very nice people Great service and the worker JR awesome guy ??

Spent $25 an hour per person for 2 1/2 hours for party of 5. This is the space we were directed to upon arrival. Some one else's mess. We understand mistakes and busy and short staff; but NO apology? So, long wait for food, cleaning supplies and tools in a pile in conspicuous retail area, no face protectors in vr attraction. Little or no sanitizing taking place in game room or playing / eating areas. The order terminal was non functional. The attendant at the points redemption counter was a real grump!!

Anyba was able to assist my party of 45 in a quick and attentive manner. At 1st when I called, someone else tried to install the fear that lanes will not be available, especially next to each other during the Sunday special. By the garce of God and Anyba, my group was given the entire VIP section where we spent quality time together. One thing to note, prices are up almost 50%.

Bowlero Melville was the wingman I needed tonight! My girl and I had FUN- Thanks Melville! I owe you.

Good time, not overly packed. Service, drinks and food as expected from bowling alley

Went out with the family and had the pleasure of being looked over by manager Olivia she was amazing from making sure we had everything we needed food drinks and of course a great experience while bowling she really made sure our family had an amazing time, everytime I go to the Melville location we have an a amazing time and this time was no different I will always recommend coming here she made it was great I will be booking my daughters birthday there as well ??

Great bowling alley. Very well staffed, lots of bowling balls to choose from. The building is very clean and neat. Machines are easy to use, very user friendly. The food is very surprisingly good. I didn't expect to get good food from a bowling alley. We had sliders, pizza, chicken fingers and fries, all of that was great, fresh and delicious! We will definitely be back.

Fun place, good food, nice people. Love it

Great location. Food was good too

VIP area is awesome, very cozy, and intimate for a group of 5 or more and the food is fresh and delicious ??.

Loved this bowling alley, plenty of parking and great location. My church had a bowling night here and the food and service they offered was unbelievable. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have a great night out.

Food and drinks were great ! Had a fantastic time !

Everyone was nice but I told the bartender we don't eat pork and are allergic . My wife ordered wings they added loaded fries with bacon bits .

Staff was very helpful, kind, friendly, knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend to others and come back for another event. I don't like being a host and the staff helped me with everything I needed to get done. They did an awesome job with everything from decoration to service to cleaning. Just wow! Thank you so much for everything! Josh was the manager on duty btw

Bowlero Melville was all strikes and no gutters. Perfect night out! Highly recommend

Great service! Food was great! Drinks was made great! Lanes are well maintained!

I haven't been bowling in 8 years, but I loved going here. Modern and exciting design plus great snacks. Beer was a little flat though. The shoes were actually cute too!

Had my wife?s 70?s birthday party here and it was amazing. The service and food were great and employees were the best thank you so much to both Jessica?s and everyone else. Thank you Taylor for your amazing help setting this up. I highly recommend going here.

Awesome staff! Great service!! Highly recommended.

Clean nice place great staff. No problem with getting a lane it seems nobody bowls anymore. This place was empty on a Friday night maybe twenty five cars in the parking lot. Also have a good deal with bowling and arcade games.

Had a great time from check in to check out. Clean & oiled lanes.

Was there for the New Years Eve celebration. Staff was courteous, very attentive. Music was good. Food was good. A little pricey, but worth it. Would've been 5 stars, but the lane had some malfunctions, three or four times. Otherwise we had a great time.

Wish the food was delivered faster. It typically takes about 5 frames of a game for 3 players from ordering to delivery.

The service here was very bad. A little dirty also. I think for Friday night $60 per person is outrageously expensive. I definitely would not come back here. There are much cheaper options and for the price it did not feel like it was worth it at all.

Went to this facility last weekend with our soccer boys and had a great time. Our server Alana was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, both kids and adults. She was super sweet and polite, the food was good, had a little mishaps with some things we ordered, but she corrected it right away in a timely fashion. Next party I have for my own son I'll request her! She really made this experience smooth.

Love coming to this location, it's never really crazy busy, lots of lanes and love the arcade! Drinks are delicious and they have a good variety of finger food! Also great place to have a company party, we had our holiday party here 2 days in a row and it was a great time and the price was reasonable!

Work event held in VIP room. Would recommend...

Great time! The food was ok, drinks were good, lanes were nice.

Had a birthday event here and it was great! The service was amazing and there were many party packages to choose from. Highly recommend!!

We had a mixed experience here at a private event we hosted. The event was well received by our guests. The space was perfect for our needs. However, there were a couple of issues we had to deal with during the event. The most significant one was an issue with the bartender?s practices that required managerial intervention. The manager was supportive and able to correct the issue before we left. Additionally, we had requested an all-vegetarian menu, but they brought out nachos with beef without realizing un

Great Place!!! Everything is new and nice.

My first time here and OMG wont be my last! Sooo clean!!! The food was great and on time! Hot and fresh! The staff were working ok! Anything we needed, we received at a timely fashion! The drinks were good! Great vibe! And the manager Anyba was amazing! Keep up the good work !

Spacious location. Went here February 2021 and they were very safe about social distancing and masks. We felt pretty safe even though there was a large group of 15 or more near by. Staff was really good at making sure they were as far away as possible (more than 15ft away). They have plastic dividers between the lanes for extra precaution. It was a was a great time without much worry!

Excellent Experience. Great staff and the food and drinks??????

Everything was spot on as we walked in from front desk to the bar to the actual experience as well. Everyone made us feel welcomed, Maria our Bartender and Josh the manager helped us out and made our experience a great one, thank you again and we will be back soon

The atmosphere was great. There were plenty of lanes and the staff was very nice. It only took a few minutes for me and my friends to get set up with a lane. the French fries were amazing. The pretzels were a little saltier than i prefer. The arcade was a lot of fun. Plenty of games to choose from. I will definitely be back

For me the best place for bowling. Definitely go there

Manager was fantastic! (Would have given 5 stars) Shoe attendant girl should get some training in customer service. Visited the Melville location with a Groupon I had purchased for 4 people. Upon entering on a Friday night there was no host to direct us. We saw there was an attendant behind the shoes counter but awkwardly stood there thinking a host would greet us. When no one did, we approached the shoe attendant in which she told us the Groupon would not be accepted at this location. Odd, I thought, cons

We had a small birthday party here for my daughters'. The party planning was attentive and super helpful. The place is clean and organized. We had our party start before the bowling alley opened on a Saturday and I highly reccomend that. It was so nice to be there without the crowd. We stayed later and let the kids play at the arcade, which is fun, but loud and got crowded. I would definitely go back, but do the arcade first while no one is there!

Shameful! I was bamboozled and upsold by a corporate minion who was very vague when locking me in to a contract for a DAISY GIRL SCOUT holiday party. For anyone ever considering booking a party lock in with a way way smaller number because they will not let you take away your number when you're simply having a conversation about them. I've never had this experience with any party that I've ever booked. stealing money from little girls literally. Shame on you!!

Loved my experience here! No wait on a Saturday night. Fun fast friendly service. Very clean. Great environment. Amazing date night option. Played a few rounds of bowling. Didn't even know where the time went and played pool as well. Drinks were pretty good as well, not too strong. And the appetizers were pretty good also.

This place was some what hard to find as it was in the back of a couple stores & when we arrived NONE of the street lights were on which made it hard for you to see the huge sign on the building from the road. This place was nice & cool to bowl at. Please don't let me review sway you from this location as it is an okay place to bowl but needs new management. I had no complications with bowling but my friends & I ordered some food & 2 of their orders got messed up by giving them something they didn't ask f

They charge 12.99 per person (that doesn't even include the shoe rental) on Saturdays. Wish I wouldve known this beforehand before I found out. No prices on their website which sucks & the check-in agent had a very sassy attitude. Nice experience, not worth the money though.

A great place to have a party. Very attentive staff.

Bowling experience was nice, only thing that turned me off was the food. It was abundant but waaaaay too salty. The nachos we're good but not as good as other places. They served alcohol so that was good as well. If they changed the menu, it'll definitely be better. But other than the food, it was a really great experience. The servers were nice and very accommodating

Went to a sweet 16 party there with a reserved room, it was very nice. The staff was a little slow with refills, but the bathrooms was clean and the facility was clean as well. The arcade was big and lots of fun. I would definitely recommend this place, my family really enjoyed themselves.

Had a great time. A lot of fun. Staff was very accommodating and were awesome! Manager Anyba made sure we were taken good care of. Highly recommend.

If you're willing to let go of the idea that bowling is a good INexpensive thing to do, this is a good place to spend time "doing something" with family when you want to get out of the house. Be careful with the pricing for weekend peak hours reservations. They charge a high amount ($150) for a reservation for two hours of unlimited games; also, all reserved lanes require that you pay $25 per person for food credits; plus the shoe rental. (Not hard to use the food credit because the menu prices are pretty h

Came here for a children's birthday party and it was a lot of fun, accommodating for both child and adult. There are separate private rooms like a catering hall which have their own bowling lanes. They were clean, modern and very private. I liked it and would have any kind of party there. Didn't ask about pricing. Very nice bar well stocked.

Fun to be there. The pricing has increased a bit but was still fun. I didn't care for the bowl lane arrangement. They tried to fit 8 people in one lane and 8 in the same share spot instead of breaking it up and was crowding the lanes when the place wasn't even busy.

Went with a large group of friends from work. Seemed fairly quiet throughout. Difficult to see location from the highway. Food served was typical, sliders, fries, pizza, fried chicken. Bartender had a habit of disappearing. Everytime someone went up to the bar, they had to wait for her to return from the back. Overall, conditions were clean and everyone had a good time.

My son decided to go here for his Birthday. The waitress wasn't FRIENDLY at all. Never smiled cold and indifferent. I didn't think that was a lot to ask being that we had a $500.00 tab and they automatically calculated her tip! I told iher it was sons birthday can she do something special! But nothing was done! The food was good the chef was good!

Fun place. Bowling, arcades and good music. I will definitely be back. We had a great time.

We love it here. We take our 5yr old to bowl a game and then play arcades. It's a nice family place, with decent food and a full bar. I'd say that it's a good place for family outing or a night without the kids. Food and drink selection is good, some items are pricey.

1st time at Bowlero. Was there for an adult bowling party in a private room 3/2022. Handful of people had on mask. Entire alley was nice and spacious. It was over crowded in private room because there were 3 parties. Place was still full at 11:30pm. A lot of young children running around. Ladies Bathroom needed to be attended to. Had a great time, I would go again!

Loved it! My kids had a Blast!! It was a little confusing on how to order food and things but once we got it the hang of the joint it turned into a great time!!

The place was nice. Food and drinks were good. However if you're drinking under a contract I suggest you keep track of the numbers of drinks you purchase. As my party was almost charged double!

The sign identifying it is not brightly lit compared to the others around it. It was two tries to spot it. The parking lot is not brightly lit. The interior is nice and the staff both friendly and helpful. Odd thing though: every time you bowl, it takes the ball forever to come back to the rack. That definitely messes up your timing and rhythm. It's also a little tight squeezing past your friends sitting on the benches to get to the rack when it's your turn. On two of the five lanes we used, the pins had to

Good food, good people, good vibes. Mana Elisa & JR were the best. Can't say enough good things about them.

Went to a birthday party there. They were great with the kids, food was good, place was clean.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
