We recently celebrated a 10th birthday party for my son's friend at Lucky Strike bowling alley, and it was an absolutely fabulous experience! From the get-go, the staff were welcoming and ensured our large group was accommodated without any hitches. With ample alleys available, the kids had a great time rolling strikes and spares, with no waiting around for a free lane ? a real plus when you have a group of excited ten-year-olds! What truly set Lucky Strike apart was their fast service. The staff were att
Wow, it has been a while since I visited because it's so different and modern now. New technology and better leather seats. I'm very impressed with the cleanliness and the service. We went on a Friday when they first opened at 12pm (Christmas week) and it was busy but not overly crowded. The kids had fun with their bumpers and are asking when they can come back. We didn't utilize their bar but it looked nice. In addition, they have a small arcade area that requires a prepaid card. The games were newer; a lo
I cannot say enough about Bryan and the staff at hand amazing service all the time. Joely and Tim honestly make things not only fun, but the service is impeccable. I come here a little more than usual because I'm part of the league. Which everyone should join because not only is it fun but it's great exercise. I bought a summer pass which is an unbelievable deal, you get to bowl and your shoes are complementary. You also get a discount off things like food or drinks. I look forward to coming on days when I
Came here with some friends. Great bowling experience.
I came here for a birthday party for one of my son?s classmates. The kids enjoyed bowling, the arcade games, and the food. I like the variety of the food: fries, chicken tenders, tacos, and sliders. The staff was attentive. The kids had a blast, and I highly recommend this place if you want to spend 2-3 hours with your kid, throw a birthday party, or spend time with your adult friends! I think bowling is a great way to keep kids off their screens, engage them in fun, a bit competitive game, teach them how
Great experience. Love the music, love vibes on Friday and Saturday nights. I also like the arcade, it's very futuristic punk. For bowling, It's $20 each for 1 session or $39 for unlimited. The line moves fast so you don't have to wait too long. Just know they check ids during their after hours bowling session.
Overpriced and would not accept our Groupons while making us wait over an hour. What a joke. Asked for manager but he was hiding. Terrible. Overpriced and overrated! Go Dodgers!
Javier and his team provided our group with outstanding service, making sure all of our requests were accommodated so that we could fully enjoy our time there. The lanes were clean, the food was good, we were lucky with the arcade, and we all had a wonderful time.
ZERO STARS. We walked in last night (Wednesday 2/26/25) and waited at the counter for five minutes while 5-6 employees stood around right in front of us talking and pretending we were invisible. ZERO STARS. There was maybe eight other customers in the entire building at this time. ZERO STARS......................... NOT ONE SINGLE EMPLOYEE acknowledged us or greeted is in any way. No eye contact, no "we will be with you in a minute". Nothing. ZERO STARS. Whomever is in charge of this place should be fired.
Cute spot. Bar food was good. Garlic fries were fantastic. Nachos were basic but good. Strawberry lemonade drink was yummy. Music and staff were great. Pretty expensive but I guess that's the going rate for bowling alleys these days unfortunately
Incredible place to have a birthday party - the staff will absolutely make sure you're taken care of and you can just tell how much pride they take in their work! Javier always makes sure we have a 5 star experience!!
We did a 7th birthday party at Mar Vista Lucky Strike and just want to call out Javier (manager) and Carlos (Server) for taking care of us. Overall, they were just super proactive about making it a great experience. The kids had a great time and the parents did as well. Highly recommend doing an event there (book online and in advance as it does get busy on weekends).
Lucky Strike is a good bowling alley. Key word: bowling alley. I do not mark them down much for this, for this is a flaw of many alleys, they have an arcade. DO NOT get an arcade card. DO NOT get scammed. Their machines are scams. They need to make enough money off of you before even thinking about giving you a prize. This is called a payout rate. The only thing, in my mind, worth using the card for is air hockey, but there are better places to play that. In summary, go there to BOWL, NOT PLAY ARCADE GAMES
Great experience, food was good, drinks were delicious, and staff was friendly. Can't ask for more
Great service. Food came late so they comped us for part. Also we were able to get 2 hours free when we realized we couldn't play our 2nd game.
It's a total of $16 per person for 1 game and 1 pair of shoes. And yes their bowling shoes are mandatory.
Javier always takes care of me and my group. The bar does a great job. The music is great. Consider me an alley cat this summer.
I had a great time with my family. I made a reservation inline and was immediately taken to the lane. The staff was very friendly and were attentive. Would recommend.
My wife and I came here after celebrating our anniversary dinner at H&H. It's so clean & well maintained. NBA Superstars, which is the replacement of NBA Jam after 30 years, immediately stood out to me in the game room. They also had a couple of air hockey tables, 1 with the LA Kings logo and the other with the logo of the Anaheim Ducks. They had a Fast & Furious racing game where 4 players can play at the same time, a 2-player motorcycle racing game, and a 2-player Mario Kart racing game. They also had som
Great lanes. Shoutout Javier the manager and Leonard behind the bar for always being welcoming. Also whoever controls the music for keeping ?Believe? by Cher in the rotation FREQUENTLY
Went here with family twice! Christmas Eve and Christmas. Both times the staff were so helpful and kind. The service is slow for food/drinks but that is cause it was a holiday and a bit understaffed on the floor. Javier and Emily made the experience so enjoyable and they were really thorough in service & in creating a welcoming environment. Also floors are hella slippery, more so than other lanes I've been on. Almost landed a strike with my head cause of how slippery it was
We always enjoy our monthly bowling nights, and living on the west side means we're going to a bowlero. They're fun, everything works, and the food/drink menu means you never have to leave your lane. It's always a packed house but we can usually get a lane if we're patient and go with the flow. I'm not the biggest fan of the pin cords they use to reset the pins, but I'm being nit-picky on that one. It's just so cool that bowling alleys are still thriving in this post-pandemic world, and bravo to bowlero for
Awesome place for birthday parties and events. Space for buffet, Great arcade, air hockey, basketball hoops and A spectacular bar. I think it's 28 lanes total. Very clean with a chill modern speak easy vibe.
Went back in the days when it was an AMF, this alley has certainly been updated. Food service a bit slow, wish there had been the option to order parts of the sampler separately. Huge screens over the lanes take a few minutes to tune out when actually bowling.
We had a birthday party here and are quite pleased with the way it turned out. The staff here go above and beyond. Raphael, Geoffrey and Marlene helped us and they made sure we all had a great experience. Very positive and receptive and the food was a hit. Will definitely be back.
Good mixed drinks, very nice vibe. Bar service was a bit lacking. Bowling alley part looks like tons of fun, and everything seems to be in tip top shape. Lighting was especially excellent in execution. Easy parking, and a good location. Would be nice to stop by again and bowl.
It's such a fun place! We were 4 seniors who hadn't bowled in decades but quickly got our mojo on and started to rack up the spares and strikes. So good to know, we still got it! The music was great, and the lighting, videos, arcade, bar, and food all added to the cool vibe. The best thing was the great service and attention we received from the entire staff, from the workers behind the counter to the waitress who served us at the lane. When you arrive and check in, they walk you to your lane and intro
My daughter had an AMAZING time for her birthday!!! It was just a gathering of family but she had a blast!! It was fun, nice decor, and very clean. After her time was up for bowling they used their card for the arcade that is located in back. We will most DEFINITELY be back.
Bryan deserves the position he's in. I am very pleased with his service along with the staff. Thank you everyone 5/4/2025
great atmosphere everything you would expect from a lucky strike however if your a purist one major grip would be the string set up for the pins
Packed on a Friday night. Not a very good arcade. 21 and over after 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Great time bowling, great staff, affordable + really enjoyable??
A really fun place for a birthday party! We went here after dinner for one of my friends birthdays. Loved the big screen TVs and the table service was quick. The only downside of this place was that the machine would miscalculate during our second turn a lot. We had to rerack the pins so many times and it got frustrating.
awesome place to bowl! good game night as well. the playa location has better arcade games and playa has billiards but these lanes are great!
My bestie had her second date with her man here a few years ago so when her man decided to propose to her at Bowlero last night, the staff really went out of their way to make sure my best friend?s proposal was perfect! Shoutout to Miguel the manager and the security guards who helped us pull off the big surprise. They allowed us to bring a professional photographer to capture the whole thing. They even played the couple?s song on the speakers and brought out champagne to celebrate. It was next level and ev
Hosted my son?s birthday party here. The party packages are flexible and they do a really nice job with the set up. Teenagers all had a great time. Prices are in line with similar party services in Los Angeles, which is to say, expensive. But worthwhile if this time of thing is in the budget. I felt like we got our money?s worth.
The management sucks, Marvin the manager is extremely unfriendly and rude. Especially if you have a Groupon coupon they make you feel very unwelcome. Don't go to this location ,also food portions are ridiculous compared to other locations.
Very long wait times, you cannot make a reservation with Groupon!
Bowlero is my neighborhood bowling alley, so I love coming here with my friends for a fun night out. It's normally pretty busy on weekend nights, but it's worth the wait. They play great music, the lighting is fun, and they have a decent little arcade as well. The people that work here are always very friendly and the management goes above and beyond to make the experience here great! Thank you Bowlero for being awesome!
The atmosphere was good but so COLD! They have fans like high speed and they can't even lower down. We have to request to change lane. People who bowl next to us was complaining about their food get cold too fast because of the crazy fan. Hope they get that fix. Other than that, it was good.
Friendly staff family friendly environment lots fun good food and reasonable prices
Bad policies. Not the best and if you're not a reg bowler you want great vibes. Go to better spots
Bowling seem a bit expensive to me but the owner and staff were very courteous and took good care of us. I extended our lane reservation one hour and the owner added an extra half hour for free.
Is good place to spend some time with family, they have kids games too. Good service and food, and drinks.
We went this past Friday night, and our first lane - lane 8 - kept getting stuck. So they gave us lane 11. Which ALSO got stuck all the time. My boyfriend, who is an avid bowler, was not happy. Particularly when his $300 ball he brought was conveniently getting stuck in the back, when none of the cheap balls did. On top of that, crazy loud, night club environment. You can't hear each other talk over the music. Drinks and food are basically over priced pizza and chicken wings type, and the drinks - like the
nice and clean environment, friendly staffs. great deal on groupon. will definitely visit again soon!
I spent New years Eve here for the last 2 years It was great that they have a special for parties of 5 and over very cost effective for our night out.
Awww heck yeah - love a good bowling alley! This place is super upbeat and it's probably impossible to have a bad time here. It's a little expensive but it's not too crazy. Also they had some early 2000s jams blasting so you know that always makes for a good time. We went during the day but I hear Bowlero at night is a wild experience lol. The bartenders were nice and made yummy vodka mules. Will be back!!
Our entire event experience was wonderful. The Event Manager Catalina Gonzalez was extremely kind and helpful in getting us set up for the event and checking in on us multiples times. The kids and adults enjoyed the unlimited food and appreciated Chef Jeff who introduced himself to us and came to check on the quality of food as well. The server was friendly and responsive and kept all the food and drinks filled. She continued to check on us throughout the event. I can't believe this was the 1st party we
Great spot, good for my family relaxing time enjoying the game.
Great place - long wait if someone before you book 15 lanes (and no one used them) but a great fun time!
Don't buy tickets in advance here. Even if you are hanging out with 5 of your friends, they will treat it as a whole event. Service charges that amassed to 140 dollars for me and 11 of my friends. There were also drink packages that were pitched as more affordable than to go to the bar, but ultimately that money hurt us in the service fee. If you have ever received coupons to visit here, know that you cannot use them if you reserve a lane. The coupons only work for walk-in visits. Just to bowl for 2 games a
My coworkers and I had a great time. Unfortunately, it was ridiculously hot and they said the ceiling fans didn't work. The pizza looks and tastes like it was from the frozen section at the grocery store. For the high price of bowling and drinks you'd think they'd have working fans? Maybe not... Hopefully, someone will look into this.
We've been coming here for a decade or more and it's always been fun, but this most recent visit the service was above and beyond. We came in Sunday (2/18) for a 5pm slot and all of the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. I wish I had gotten the manager's name so I could give him a shout out. Bowling alleys are not traditionally the kind of places I expect stellar service, but they were all over it. The lane next to us was waiting for another party and the manager came over to them concerned that t
It was my first time ?? here at this location with my friend I've been bowling around los Angeles County since 1995.
Great. Place. We liked the menu items. Something for adults and kids. I LOVE the small arcade. 2 adults and 2 kids. We bowled a game. Ate dinner and let the kids play a few games. It was a fun night.
Upon arrival we were seen by the 2 Security guards. My purse was checked an my boyfriend was patted down an wanded. We had a deal on the phone an was told it was a wait list. Tonight was Unlimited bowling an it was 7ppl ahead of us. We waited like 20min before we were up on the list. Once called the rest of the time went well.
We had my child's birthday party here last weekend and it was such a success. All our guests loved the bowling and arcade and the buffet food set up was so convenient. All we did was show up with cupcakes and a candle - SO easy. The customer service was phenomenal - Taylor was very responsive with sending us the proposal, and during the party, Nestor, Javier, Catalina, Jordan and Julie took such good care of everyone. Some of the parents loved being able to get an alcoholic drink from the bar too. The price
Dear Mar vista Bowlero ]: On Sunday April 29 around 7:45pm to 10:30 I had a party on your business everything was really good until I found out my new Escalade Cadillac 2018 was hit on the rear bumper I call twice to bowlero and some guy took my information to call me back which it never happen this was in front of your cameras so hope this is my last time going there.. spending good amount of money to receive this kind of business with you I'm very angry because no one has ever told me what's the situatio
Well managed bowling alley. Staff members are all kind and welcoming.
The service is great with a nice selection of old school pinball and arcade machines just to flesh out the vibe. Full seperate bar and a little lounge to decompress hidden off to the side. Technical problems kind of killed our party after the first game, bit they were playing Ghostbusters on the screen so we'll call it even.
We love this place - always fun and great service.
Plenty of security, food was hot, and I broke 100!
What a shame! They told my daughter that one of her friend cannot take in her salad (she has allergy and a medical condition). All the other girls ordered food from the menu. It was my daughters birthday and they were condescending with them all along. The manager didn't care about it. Last year i spent so much money for her 10th birthday when i ve ordered all their junk food package but they don't care about customer services apparently. Also, i m interested to see your policy. Please people just go to Luc
Nothing but a tremendous and exceptional experience with the staff at this location on Grandview Boulevard and Venice Boulevard. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the individual who helped me, but I know he was a manager. Due to our strict food regulations keeping kosher, we understand there was a policy with no outside food. The manager accommodated us, allowing us to bring our pizza for our event. He checked on us multiple times to make sure all was okay. Yes, the bowling was also phenomenal, b
Such a fun and well planned venue for kids and adults birthday party! Great customer service and professional staff. The birthday party planner Gabriella is simply awesome. She makes sure everything goes as planned. Event Manager Catalina, Executive Chef Jeffery, and server Paulina are very courteous and attentive. The food was delicious. Couldn't ask for a better birthday party venue. Thank you!!
Make sure closing the tap after each order to avoid double charging you
BOWLER BEWARE!!!!! FAKE BOWLING!!?!Just a heads up. IF YOU LIKE REAL BOWLING THIS IS NOT THE PLACE!!!! The bowling pins are literally attached to strings!!! It is not the same as real bowling and it does affect the way the pins fly and fall when hit with the bowling ball!!!!!!! It feels like a Mickey mouse operation designed for kids.. I love to take my kid bowling, I love to real bowl. So Won't be returning to this location or refuse to Bowl at anyplace that wants to cash grab on a cheap quality system. Th
Decided to spend some time with the family and went bowling to this location. I admire the friendly and professional service provided by all the staff. Joshua Reese, Assistant General Manager, greeted us personally and offered a Five-Stars and Five -Diamonds service. Hard to believe I was getting this much attention to details and satisfaction from all the staff. This level of service makes a big difference from other bowling places. Thank you all!
Bowlero took over Mar Vista Bowl, which for many of us, a lot of childhood memories went with it. Thats all fine and dandy however..... Charging $9 a game for bowling is just absurd. Mom, dad, grandma and a kid...$36.00 a game, plus shoes? after a few games, you might as well go to Disneyland. The prices are just ridiculous. And for that amount, there should be no reason that the seats should have holes, rips and just that grungy worn out feel. For the price we paid to bowl here I would expect a bit
It's?ok. Following suit to other bowling alleys they decided to make it a loud club where you have to yell to talk (Wednesday night). Also following trend, they have more video game space than lane space! The area to stand before you bowl has been cut short and makes it a little awkward to bowl. Bowling balls are no longer on a shelf behind you - one of every weight and size is crammed into your lanes docking area. Strange. I don't expect anything much from bowling alley food but we warned the pizza is f
It's a nice place looks really nice it was remodeled the only thing is pricey. Other bowling places are shipper on shoe rental.
We recommend rmthis place, it's family friendly.
Pricey, but they offer some discounts. Lanes last I went were pretty heavily oiled. Pins have strings for faster/easier reset, but then don't quite have the same mechanics as normal pins. One time they gave us because we were waiting for a while some play cards for their arcade but those were a flop as the machines didn't recognize the cards. Despite this, best option for me due to proximity.
Absolutely horrible service. I had to cancel my reservation due to most of my party catching covid. I simply just wanted my refund since they never provided a service. DO NOT RESERVE BEFOREHAND. They treat it like it is a blood oath. I just wanted my refund back and all they said is the best they can do is try to reschedule and give me 50% off the reschedule fee. What is that. Why is 500$ to reserve some lanes . I wanted an explanation why I could not get a refund and just kept saying it's policy. I never
Bowlero Mar Vista presents a mixed bag in terms of a bowling experience. On the positive side, their lanes are top-notch, providing a seamless and enjoyable game for bowling enthusiasts. The atmosphere is inviting and well-suited for a fun outing. However, the venue falls short in its staffing and service. Being understaffed leads to poor service quality, which can detract from the overall experience. Additionally, there seems to be a noticeable bias towards birthday parties, often at the expense of walk-in
Things were normal enough until security threatened my friend when they went to go drink from their personal water bottle, which they were forced to leave outside?first threatening to toss the water bottle, and then to expel them from the venue. I dearly hope this venue doesn't want to be known for intimidating its patrons over drinking water, but that's how they came off tonight.
Not real bowling. All of the pins are attached to a string, do not go here if you're trying to actually roll. The place was a mess to boot.
Great! Fun place to bowl! Restrooms available. Good food like sliders, chicken tenders, fruit, pizza, nachos, etc. Good for the whole family! :)
Not clean with weird bad smell inside and outside. The smell was the first hit. Our line was not clean, and there was no one around to clean it. So we cleaned our table and moved the dishes/remaining food from previous customers away. It was not a busy night (weekday), and I can imagine how worse it can be on weekends. It is an ok place to go if you are around, but do not recommend it if you have better options.
Around 1978 I met a girl and I don't know her name but she was on the bowling league. I woulder if. Anyone could ask around and my name is chip she might have had my baby it's been so long I did love her but I was young working in vista for two weeks
Went on a Friday evening. Great place! Food was delicious! The bowling lanes were lit up with bright colors. Very friendly and helpful staff! Great crowd, very diverse, all ages welcome! Loved the arcade games, too! Bar area was very nice. Had a great evening!!!
on a weekend our wait time was about 30-45 minutes, it's quite busy, and the arcade is tiny their water from the bar tasted delicious though, helpful service, comfortable benches, and overall a great time many kids
It was a fun experience and a nice ambiance. A very lively alley. The staff was nice and helpful. I liked that they had a bar area where you could order form the table/ QR code.
I went in to use my Groupon and was told no Groupon coupons were accepted after 6 pm on the weekends. So annoying I have to come back another time. The company can put that information on the website so people don't waste their time ????
Great place, friendly staff, very tasty food
Bowlero is a wonderful neighbor to the Mar Vista community. So much so that they have cars towed from their 98% empty parking lot 2.5 hours before they're even open. It's a wonderful gesture to local residents trying to visit the vet on Grand View which they can't access on Sunday due to the Farmers Market. I hope some poor MBA at corporate crunched the numbers and found that being so charitable was worth it.
Horrible service and cleanliness. It smelled funky inside the location. Took more than 20 minutes just to get my jug of water. No server came to bring us the drinks, had to personally pick them up. Asked to speak to manager she took she took over 15 minutes to come and looked like she woke up from a nap. If I could I wouldn't put any stars. Avoid this location.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
