Customer Reviews

We celebrated a birthday party and it was amazing. Everyone had a great time. We bowled for a couple hours with kids from 2 to 60+. The food was good and the staff was outstanding.

Has my twins? bday party here for 20 guests and it was FABULOUS!!! Good food, great service and management. The place is spotless clean and very well designed. Everyone (teens) had so much fun, they didn't want to leave. Their pricing is VERY reasonable and worth every penny. Absolutely loved it.

Tuesday nights $20/person for unlimited bowling after 8pm is a steal! Such an awesome bowling alley. Sad they don't show the ball speed or give the helpful screens on how to get a spare on your 2nd roll but still a great time nonetheless.

Lucky Strike Ladera Ranch is by far and away the coolest, most well operated and overall best bowling alley I've ever visited and to have it right here in southern Orange County is just awesome! There is something for everyone, food is divine and cocktail menu is expansive! Lane?s are perfectly laid out, with very easy to use programming for all the bowlers in your group, and the personal attention received given by waitstaff enhances the overall experience! If you're local and have kiddos, I highly encoura

Even though Lucky Strike has only been open for a few weeks, this place is SO AWESOME! Of course the bowling and video games are a blast but the food and service is equally amazing. They works their butts off to create a great experience for guests and we will be visiting frequently and often! ??

The Lucky Strike was the Best for my granddaughter's 10th birthday party, she and her friends had a great time bowling, and playing in the arcade. The food provided was delicious! The servers were awesome and very attentive to all the guests' needs, including the general manager, way to go Lucky Strike!

You like bowling? You like being able to bowl near somewhere to your high score? Well that may not happen here because they put more money into there arcade than into the actual bowling alley itself. When walking in, I thought I was at the wrong place because I was literally flashed with bright lights from the huge arcade. For a minute, I thought I was in Dave & Busters. Not to mention that I couldn't even see the bowling lanes until I got to the front desk. I feel like if you advertise as a bowling alley,

I was supposed to have my six year old daughters birthday at a park and then rain hit the forecast. I called Lucky strike ladera ranch the day before and booked a last minute party. The customer service was amazing, they got us everything we needed to make sure the party was a success and the checked in often to see if we needed anything. The place was also very clean, albeit it's still pretty new. I will say it wasn't the cheapest bowling party, but I think the value was there for what we got. I was v

Great place to have a party if you aren't competitive. We didn't know that they weren't real pins and are on strings. The on action is horrible. Pins fall that shouldn't and some stay up that should have fallen. Great for kids but it's not true bowling. Very disappointed that they cut corners and went this direction. Unfortunately we won't be back. We are a competitive crew and this set up it's a fair playing field. We spent $1400 on a birthday party and were bummed to learn that they were on a string pin s

I had planned a small birthday party here. Ordering the event online was super easy, and I love that the customization options on the site for food as well. The staff was very hands-on and diligent, from the event planner that met with me and checked in regularly, to the manager and other servers as well. I also saw that they're very meticulous about cleaning; regularly busing dishes and always having someone cleaning and wiping down the arcade machines as well. While this was on the pricier side I feel li

As a 40-year-old mom of four, finding a spot that keeps everyone entertained without losing my sanity is a tall order. Lucky Strike Ladera Ranch manages to hit that sweet spot, blending family-friendly fun with a touch of grown-up appeal. Bowling: The lanes are modern and well-maintained, making for a smooth experience whether you're a casual bowler or secretly competitive (guilty as charged). The online reservation system is a lifesaver, especially when coordinating a troop of eager kids. Arcade: The arc

The good first, the place was clean, modern bowling, seemed like it was going to be great fun. The bad? service was unbelievably bad. I had paid 70 per person for 30 people 6 lanes. This included food of my choice and unlimited premium drinks from the bar? that's where it went bad. First off, 30 minutes in and we still had no drinks, not even a waitress to take the order. I had 2 draft beers and that is the extent of the ?unlimited bar?? package. We attempted to complain a few times and were brushed off e

Our first visit to this arcade was truly upsetting. The kids were so excited to play and win prizes, but after spending a lot of time and money, we were told they wouldn't be getting any points because of a ?Spring Break deal.? No one mentioned this policy, and there were no signs anywhere explaining it. The kids were heartbroken and ended up crying ? it completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun outing. Management was unprofessional and didn't seem to care at all. We left with sad kids and zero intent

Would normally give a 5+ but.. While I understand the no outside beverages rule, I think water should be an exception. The manager Mana came to us as my kids drank their outside water cup telling us it was a corporate rule so either leave or decide ? seemed rough for water. While we were spending on appetizers, food, drinks and games. Not customer friendly as a family who comes often.

John the General Manager, and his staff went above and beyond to turn around an opportunity. Our family had the most amazing time at Lucky Strike. The ambiance and bowling was perfect, the food was great and the service was even better! We can't wait to return for the bowling, food and arcade!

I was really impressed with the next level quality and service provided here at Lucky Strike. Our server Courtney was exceptional. She went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of especially when my little 2 year old got an owie. Thank you Courtney for making our experience fun and memorable. We will be back at Lucky Strike!

Don't get me wrong, my husband and I had an amazing time bowling. My two star review is strictly due to the tipping situation we experienced upon check out. It was standard, we dropped our shoes off and went to pay for our time (mind you this was a different employee checking us out than the one who checked us in). We racked up a fun total of 14 games, did not purchase food or drinks- no problem. However, on the receipt we see 3 tipping options (all of course in the $20 range) and no adjusted tip line. When

A great place to bowl, enjoy a drink and a bite to eat with lane side service! Lots of arcade games, a bar and eatery as well. Fun for the whole family.

A modern twist on a traditional bowling alley. This place has a new fresh vibe to it and caters to a younger, overstimulated, beginner to average bowler. Good competitive bowlers probably won't like it. The lighting is more of a "cosmic bowling" vibe with a fairly dark room and lit up pins. The pins use a non-standard pin placement system, having ropes attached to the tops of each pin. After the pins are knocked down, the ropes pull the pins back up when and where need be. I'm guessing it's a less maintenan

There is literally no oil on the lane. I threw the same ball for a full game, and no oil to wipe from the ball. Don't even think about hooking because it will gutter at 1 rpm. We ordered milkshakes and did not get them after a 45+ minute wait, had to remind them because they completely forgot.

The whole staff is so friendly and helpful! My kiddos had so much fun! They have a few GF options, but not a whole variety, and no GF options for kids which is a bummer. Despite that, we will definitely be back! Kiddos had a total blast!

Great atmosphere and the Arcade is great! Much bigger than anticipated. Fun for kids of all ages!

They manage their time and lane availability HORRIBLY! As someone who really enjoys bowling, the fact that their pins are attached by strings can be really bothersome but thats just how lucky strike is. Outside of that the food and beverages are just way too expensive. My soda cost $7???? And apparently you are not allowed to bring water bottles in. My nephew who is only 4 couldnt have his water bottle? A DAMN CHILD. Just ridiculous. It honestly is probably the cheapest bowling alley in the mission viejo/rs

Took my two Grandsons to Lucky Strike Ladera Ranch today. When they visit they always want to go bowling, so it was either Mission Viejo or Lake Forest. But, someone had told me about this place... closer to San Clemente where I live and just a dynamo bowling alley with the cleanest, nicest, newest alley I have ever encountered. Shout out to Sean and to Sal for their unbelievable great personalities and professionalism, made my Grandboys feel really special and totally went out of their way to make our e

We came here for the arcade, because our family loves arcades. We ate in the bar area. Server was so lovely. They have mocktails, which I am always excited to see on a menu, and the food was above average for bowling alley food. I was weirdly lucky in the games, and my son and I both ended up with a lot of tickets. He wanted a bunch of little stuff, and I wanted this silly game that was a higher ticket item. We went to check out, and the poor staff person at the checkout said a manager had to come and appr

It's nice to have a new venue with brand new equipment and furniture. The staff is friendly but looks unexperienced. The food is awful. The cancelation policy is bizarre. Don't reserve a lane for many people because Lucky Strike will not return you anything if a guest doesn't show up. There is no check out process. I didn't even receive a receipt.

Went for the first time recently and had a lot of fun the facility is really good but all those video screens are a little distracting and it's kind of pricey, but the facility and service is excellent

Super fun atmosphere! The nachos were DELICIOUS!! Definitely a great place for fun times...

Lucky strike in Ladera Ranch was by far the best bowling alley I've been to. The atmosphere was inviting, the bowling was great, service was top notch, cocktails were tasty and the DJ had an excellent playlist. I will be back even though it is not the closest bowling alley to me.

Michael is the worst manager ever he kicked us out for bringing a sprite into bowling after paying 100 for unlimited bowling. He kicked us out and offered no refund

We went to a birthday party there and it was awesome! They set up the area your reservation is in with the kiddos' name with lit up letters.

Nice place .. had a good time .. but can't believe we got approached by the general manger himself to let us know that we can't have a bottle water for our little one even after I told him that she only drank certain type of water because she was autistic.

Music was so loud the person behind the counter had a difficult time hearing me, please turn the music down. Also showed fully booked online but was only about 50% full when I got there, I asked if there was any lanes open they said maybe there is one or two, but did not seem able to confirm so I left. I'll try again, but probably will leave if it's still that loud. Really looking forward to game soon, glad they opened one in the area

What a nice, clean and spacious place to have family fun. The staff ware super friendly, helpful and organized! Great job team!

My kids and I had a great time here.

Wonderful place!! Great food great service clean and friendly staff ??

This place is awesome. When I went there, me and my dad had so much fun bowling, even though he beat me every time. ?? Thank you Lucky Strike!

Always a great time at Lucky Strike. This one in particular was very welcoming and had great atmosphere and customer service.

Overall, I like to place a lot of lanes for Bowlings. I think 43 of them life DJ price for okay it was a little louder than I was expecting but overall fun place.

The place looks spectacular inside, great place to go with the family and have fun.

Came here and was told I can be on a waitlist and would be 3rd on the list. 30 minutes later came back and asked about the wait and then told I was 10th on the list. An hour and a half later I counted 13 lanes open and then was told I was 6th on the list. This place has terrible management issues.

Easiest event arrangement ever; Sarah followed up, had all info and answers and was Fantastic! As easy of a user experience as you can have. Thank you!!

everything is good. food is a bit expensive tho

The place is nice but needs more place of the tables and the arcade is nice and restrooms are in a weird spot

It was super clean and the staff were all friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
