Lucky Strike Chula Vista

Lucky Strike Chula Vista

Reviews Summary

Bowlero receives mixed reviews, with many praising its fun atmosphere, friendly staff (especially bartenders), and good food/drinks. Positive experiences highlight clean facilities, enjoyable bowling, and helpful service. However, negative reviews cite high prices, long wait times, poor lane management, and occasional rude staff. Some criticize unclear pricing and refusal to accommodate group requests. While many enjoy the retro vibe and amenities (arcade, pool), others find alternatives like Dave & Busters more affordable for families. Service quality varies—some encounters are excellent, while others face delays or unresponsiveness. Overall, it’s a popular spot for bowling and socializing, but inconsistent experiences and cost are common drawbacks.

Customer Reviews

We weren't sure what to expect when Bowlero became Lucky Strike, but my family has been nothing but impressed. The staff at the counter and restaurant are amazing. They're super friendly and genuinely care about customers experience. The lanes are always clean and the entire place well maintained.

John & Andre went above and beyond for my family and I. We drove an hour away with 6 kids eagar to play. They made sure we got in with no wait time. I appreciate everything they did for us!! Definitely 10/10 recommend coming here!!

Very cool ?? I really enjoyed it ?? with my friends ?? it has other ?? games, and it is all fun and very good customer service ?? ??

This place just got rebranded again. I appreciate the remodel and how clean the place is but? this is definitely more oriented for entertainment purposes than for people that like the sport of bowling. If you're looking for a place to hang out with friends or throw a party this place is great. A bit pricey but still somewhat reasonable specially if you look for Groupons or specials. The food and the drinks are much better than they were before the re brand. Wings and fries are usually my go to here. They

Great location with an a bar, billiards, arcade, and more. Lorena was amazing at setting us up with a lane and taking care of any issues that arose. Would return for a fun night of bowling!

Always a really fun time bowling here! Vibes are great and food is good. Our server Alan was awesome and very attentive. Overall enjoyable experience!

This spot was dooope. First off the staff was so damn friendly. They greet you and and welcome you in at your lane ? at least when you make a reservation. The food was good and the service was excellent. Love the vibe and would come here again. After my shoulder heals from 5 straight games!!

I had high hopes for booking this venue, especially considering the potential for repeat business twice a year for a high school sports team bonding dinner. This opportunity could have brought valuable revenue, not only from our gathering of over 20 families and possibly up to 60 guests, but also from the individual families visiting other locations. Unfortunately, the venue was unwilling to accommodate separate checks, which made it difficult to proceed with our plans. It's disappointing to see a lack of

From beginner experience: Got 3 Groupons to bowl here and called the day of to ask when was a good time to arrive and put my name down as we had a group of 12. They couldn't give me an exact time but when I arrived there at 6pm as my party was arriving at 6:30pm, all the lanes were booked as they have leagues happening that night. We were 11th in line and they said most likely we couldn't bowl until after 9 or 9:30pm due to reservations. Ended up staying for billiards when we got a text around 7:10pm that

It is not a place suitable for tourists, I was definitely discriminated against by its staff. I only wanted to have a beer (I didn't even want more than one) and they asked me for identification, when I gave them all kinds of identification from my country, passport, which is what a tourist has To identify myself, they told me that it was not valid for them, that they only take into account the California ID, I am not interested in having a California ID because I am not an American, and that is without men

Horrible place. I decided to ignore my gut feeling the guy at the counter gave me after he asked me if I had been after the new ownership. Didn't say anything about pricing, just asked for my card to put on file. I'm used to paying up front for the rental of shoes and amount of games, but okay, new ownership. Finish my session, I go cash out & they tell me they don't have my card on file so they need it again. They charge me for my two games and shoes for 2 people ($45). I check my card and an hour later th

You know it's a nice bowling alley but their is no prices listed online anywhere except for some specials at night, and when we went in no prices for shoes nothing unless you ask the people that work their not good business practices.. Owner or CEO of lucky strike just list the god darn prices the general public is tired of these games!

Great service! Great menu selection. Good deal on drinks. A really great all-around good for friends and family time. The staff is very professional and friendly and keep the place very clean. They have assistant cheater bowlers for the little ones. They have awesome Groupon deals. Also, they have a really great music selection so even if you're losing at bowling, you'll probably be dancing the whole time.

Great Bowling place allways have fun at League night, if you ever wanna meet new people and have fun Join a League every one is nice and cool. It will also help you become a better bowler making things also competitive at same time. On Monday after 6pm theres a league so theres alittle lanes available, also tuesday after 6pm theres league bowling, and thursday after 6:30pm theres league just a heads up. There will be lanes available but not alot first come first serve.

Honestly, the experience wasn't great. I went to celebrate my birthday. I paid $417 for the premium drinks when I ask my waiter Chloe she said the drinks were unlimited but afterwards she went and she told my brother-in-law there were only two drinks per hour it's only two hours of bowling so that's a total four drinks when we paid so much that's false advertisement on top of that our server Chloes had an attitude while she was serving us, rolling her eyes being very disrespectful.

Went here for bowling. Checked the schedule for leagues beforehand and none were shown for Mon eve but showed up around 6 with all lanes full and told none would be open until 830--could've been a party or something else. Decided on the arcade instead. I counted at least 5 broken games and the vr straps were broken as well. The games seemed overpriced-- have been to at least 3 others recently and this was the most expensive. Prizes are all given via vending machine wich is kinda neat but extremely slow. Wou

They recently changed their name and completed their renovation project so now all the pins are on strings. This place has a great team for the most part but their scheduling for league while also trying to serve pass holders and walk in guests are ridiculous, you'd have to go more than an hour before league because they close the lanes an hour prior to oil them down, won't be able to get a lane until after 8:30/9PM those days. It's awesome that they still run specials and have a good amount of arcade game

I live across the street and decided to come in for a few drinks! Bianca and Tiff helped me out at the bar and had such great energy! Kudos for helping out.

Absolutely fantastic time. I used a Groupon today with 6 people for a lane for 2 hours. Ended up also getting a 25$ fun card for the arcade. The arcade is a bit pricey. The food is fabulous and well cooked. I got a sampler platter. The wings are really delicious as it's the rest of the food. We (party of 6) got in 2 games. I bought 5 mixed drinks which were all very well made. Also the sodas come with free refills.

Really busy on a Tues night, but didn't have to wait to get a lane. Bowled 1 game paid 48 dollars for 3 ppl. Nothings cheap anymore. There's an arcade. There's a bar n they serve food.

First time visiting was yesterday?s my grandson birthday ?? 3/23/25. We paid for reservations and when we arrived staff at front desk was all over the place girl didn't know her job act like she didn't see my reservation. Our host was lazy and he was poor at his job. Than they had my son party in the middle of the area where another party was they took over our lane. I refuse to stay in that area thank God for another employee who suggested we go to lane ???. Host tried to act like it was for bowling league

Had a great time bowling Fri night 22 Mar 24 with dear friends from my high school days.... we go way back. LOL. We still get together on occasion and this night it was to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Bowling was fun, especially with friends using two lanes. A bit pricey but fun. The staff there were very friendly, checked on us often, and were accommodating to some of our special requests. That was a pleasant surprise. The food was good but again a bit pricey, especially after they added additiona

Great place lines are pretty long on a Saturday night still had a great time. Food was great beer was ice cold would definitely go again.

Extremely Disappointing Experience I've been coming to this bowling alley for years, even back when it was owned by Brunswick Zone and Bowlero, and I've never had to wait this long for a lane?especially for just two people. We checked in at the front desk and got on the waitlist at 2:52 PM. However, we never received a text when our lane was ready. I had to check in twice just to figure out why the wait was so long. After nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes, we were finally assigned a lane?only after complaining

I loved the ambiance of Bowlero. It's the first time I've been there in over 3 years, so I hadn't seen the remodel pre pandemic. Great job Bowlero did! Aside from remodel, dividers we're added to comply with CDC guidelines. Masks are required while inside unless you're eating. There's designated eating area for each lane. Food can be ordered and delivered right to your table. Servers are on it, great service! Arcade is fun but there were a few games without network signal and nobody around to troubles

Great expirence and lots of staff. 2 games for 2 people came out to around 65$. Wasn't a long wait for a Saturday night which was perfect. I've come and had the total opposite so always check before.

Love this place. My family and I come here often and always have a great time. Service here is great and friendly. Did its good also. I highly recommend this place.

Or son cerebrated his 8th birthday here and had a great time. We got all the food we could eat and bowling we could do in 2-2.5 hours. The servers were friendly and took care of us. Thank Bowlero for the experience

I've never bowled before. I was pretty lost but luckily the host Dominique was able to take me through the process step by step. kids and I had a lot of fun! The kids liked the colorful setting and the game area. Overall, a great time and will probably return in the near future.

Tiffany and Bianca were so sweet everytime I come they show the best customer service . Great attitude and great conversation those my bookies fr

We had a fun time, clean and well maintained, and shoes were all nice. Feedback: The software flow for adding players' names is the worse possibly imagined. It doesn't even let you add players' names one after the other. You have to start the process and go through 5 screens each time for every player. Hopefully the bowling alley passes on that feedback to the software team.

For three people one game was going to be over $60. I drove 5 minutes down the road to round 1 bowling and got an hour, 2 games each, for $50. Even worse, 2/3 of the alley was open but they were reserved sometime that day so we couldn't bowl. Literally like 30 lanes they kept closed instead of a quick single game we would have played. Worst bowling alley experience I've ever had.

The manager said, and I QUOTE that they only take ?US passports ? as identification to order alc. They did not serve alc to a couple of our members bc they had visas.RACISTS.

I loved the place, it's very fun and enjoyable for family with kids.

I loved this place. Took my family on the weekend. From outside it looks very simple but once you're inside the atmosphere is very friendly and it has everything to have a good time. The arcade was fun, the pizza was good, and the staff was great. Thank you, Dominique, for such a great experience. we will definitely come back.

We had a birthday party and had a great time. Great service and employees were very attentive.

I came to Bowlero, to celebrate my father in law?s birthday. I was not even aware that the name was changed. I remember when this place was called Brunswick. Going to miss the old place. Well, looks like they have upgraded a few things. The place looks great, I dont know if they have the black lights going the whole time, but it gives the place a good vive. The big screens again the back wall look cool too. My Little girl had a great time (have a 2 year old) using the bumper system and the railes t

I went here recently. I asked for a few things and I was assisted immediately and with friendly positive professionalism. She had the perfect vibe for the atmosphere and really lightened the mood for my wife and I when we needed it the most. We had such a great time, thanks to the nice young girl who worked there. When I asked her name she said Dominique, she's awesome!!! Thank you Dominique!!!!!!

I'm officially done with this place. It's such a cool spot, but the employees are careless and clearly not trained properly. Every single time I've come here, there's been an issue. I kept giving it a chance because the alley itself is great, but I'm over it. One time, they told me I couldn't bring my two-year-old?s water bottle inside because of their ridiculous "no outside food or drinks" policy. Seriously? A toddler?s water? Multiple times, the automatic bumpers weren't even working. So everyone in my g

Cool spot, the kids and I go every week or so to play 20$ of arcades. Fun times cool games and always serviced and maintained. Bowling is a bit expensive, but is very fun.

I always come to this place with my family and most of the time its in amazing experiance, but last night the guy the was in the counter was extremely rude!! No sence of customer service, gaved me adittude and made fun of me infront of my whole family!!! I defently wont be coming back. Ruin my whole experiance of bowleros. Ps its that guy in blue

Recently came here. I haven't bowled in San Diego in over 10 years and wanted to get out with my son. It had the perfect setting. It was fun teaching my son to bowl and play pool. The host Dominique was very friendly and helpful making the experience fun! Got to check out the bar next time.

Nice! This was once Brunswick Bowling and now its been completely remodeled into a really trendy, retro feel, new alley. Bowlero has a nice arcade as well. There is new seating at each lane which allows more people and is also comfortable. There are workers who come to take orders but they are so busy the service is not very good. I asked for water multiple times for my little one and it never came. Tried asking for a container for the pizza and that never came either. Other than that my kids still had fun

I recently visited Bowlero and had the pleasure of being served by an incredible bartender, Bianca. Her friendly demeanor instantly made me feel welcome, and she took the time to chat with everyone at the bar, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Not only was she personable, but her drink-making skills were top-notch. Each cocktail was expertly crafted and delicious, perfectly complementing our bowling experience. It was clear she genuinely enjoyed her job, and that passion translated into the quality o

We had a good time despite the busy madness on a Saturday. I would avoid visiting on Saturday?s. Highly recommend using Groupon, you can save over $100 for 4 bowlers????

Dark, old school vibe. Neon lights. Dated equipment. No-nonsense staff. Professional but not super friendly. Good bowling experience with the family. No kids pricing ~$7 per game per person and ~$7 per shoes per person - it adds up quick with a family!!

Good place to come with family or friends

Love coming here! The food is great and so is the staff. Bianca has helped us numerous times and we are always taken care of! You need 10 more of her!

The vibes are like lightning super spacious and food is great a bit pricy. Plenty of parking, However I would diffenitly return fir another family outing

Food is good, staff is friendly, kids have a good time.

Always a great time at our local bowling alley! My all time favorite bartender Bianca knows exactly what delicious drinks to mix up and provide the best customer service every single time? she truly makes you feel welcome and wanting to go back! Something that is always admirable is her way of remembering details of previous conversations and what drinks we enjoyed at other visits always ensuring we are satisfied with our order.. she is truly a gem at bowlero, My go to spot with having 3 kids and always ne

I've been living in South Bay now for about 7 years and have never known about this location. When the business team wanted to go out for our end of the year holiday get together, someone had suggested Bowlero and honestly, I was not really feeling going to a bowling alley. Reluctantly, I put together a catered event direct with Bowlero and when we showed up, I was pleasantly surprised. All of the food we had was awesome, service was great, and the bowling alley all together had a very modern feel. Will

Hadn't been here for a while and was pleasantly surprised to see complete remodel and concept. This place is awesome. Didn't try food but did have a couple beers on tap, a little pricey to what I'm accustomed but worth it.

Out with family enjoying the night out, the bowling place is nice and clean, very busy, good food, beer a very enjoyable place to be with your kids

Great staff! Super clean! Brought a troop of girl scouts (7 yr olds) for a party, they had a blast. You get a lot for the price! I'll probably have my daughter's next birthday party here!

Bianca was amazing from start to finish. She constantly checked on my family & I to see if we needed anything. She was very personable and easy to get along with. I will definitely be coming back to Bowlero, the experience was great because of her!

Great spot to bowl! Gets busy but super friendly staff and great bar!

such a grey experience it's my favorite bowlero! I was here often because of summer pass and every time I went Bianca was so helpful and started remembering my drink she always was smiling and really knew how to leave a good impression. would definitely come back again for her delicious drinks!

Went on a Saturday night, it was my first time being here in a long time since they rebranded the place, overall had a really good time. Lots of variety of games at the arcade, armed security, and liked the text message system when they are busy and have your lane or billiards game ready and liked the big projections at the lanes. In addition, I liked the loungy vibe of the decor and atmosphere. Friendly staff and was easy to work with but one thing that I was mostly dissatisfied with was the bathrooms coul

Great atmosphere- they have many bowling lanes, an arcade, and pool tables. However, the pizza we ordered was horrible and tasted like cardboard! Plus, the people working at the food service were rude and made me stand in line for over 5 mins when there was nobody else waiting and they made direct eye contact with me and proceeded to ignore me. All I needed was a to-go box! Will definitely never order food again. The bartender was nice though.

New decoration is nice, has a 70s vibe to it, but drinks are a little pricey now. One pitcher is about 25 when you can go to Dav & Busters and get a 22 oz beer on a week day for 6 bucks. Arcade games are way too expensive and the prices are horrible, so not ideal for the people that have more than one kid. I think Dave & Busters is definitely the go to for families of more than 2 kids for video games, but Bowlero is perfect for just bowling. Unfortunately not my place to go with kids, but I did love the dec

I've been here a few times, but it'll have been a while. My kids wanted to have their birthday party here, so I bought a few Groupon and spun my luck to get 2 lanes next to one another. We were here waiting for them to open, I wasn't sure how busy they get on a Saturday morning. I'm glad we did! It was packed within 15 mins! We had our lanes right next to each other, and it was a blast! We ordered several pizzas of the sampler and a few pizzas. I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. I was e

Plenty of parking. Kids ate pepperoni pizza. Adults ate pretzel bites & wings. Food was great along w/ cocktails, we got the passport something?? It's on the menu. Gaming area/pool tables/bowling, all fun and will be returning.

My family and I went bowling and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the alley. We were stuck on which drink to have and Bianca at the bar helped us out picking one. She was not wrong on her choice and made them super fast.

All there were very nice and helpful. Would return again!

The experience sucked. We were really excited to bowl and socialize after covid and not seeing one another. Our lane number 11 was not keeping score. We spoke to a women at the counter and she sent a mechanic that never came. We had to go back to the counter and get a gentleman who was helpful and restarted the lane for us. Unfortunately it still didn't work. I don't know why they just didn't move us to another lane. There were many empty. None of the staff ever checked on us after restarting. Our estimated

$62 bucks for two people to play three rounds of bowling? We were in there for less than an hour. Most expensive place I've been to.

Bowlero is a clean Family type fun place! It has something for everyone in the family, it's a good value economically, it's safe and conveniently located. The people are very friendly and very knowledgeable we had a blast. I'm going to go bowling every week!

Great place for a group party. Catered food was good.

Had a wonderful time for my daughter's birthday.Everything went well

Always a fun time at this place! I just wish it wasn't so expensive, always have to get the groupon coupon and the wait time is like 1-2 hours over the weekends.

Had my son's birthday here and it was a great time very good value and amazing customer service

Nice staff, super clean.

Didn't know bowling alley food could be so good. Had the classic buffalo wings. They were very good. Some of the best I've had. Wish they would have been serving their shakes. Really wanted to try one. Service was good, and the bowling was fun.

The people in the kitchen are rude as rude can get. They are young and careless. The guy serving our drinks cleaned the soda dripper with his bare hands and then grabbed ice and poured my drink. I asked for a different drink and told him why I was requesting a different drink and he got offended. Served my new drink and ask "was that better" "was that clean enough for you". Another employee heard and she also got offended by my request rolling her eyes at me as if I was requesting something unattainable. Th

The place was very nice. We played bowling was cool. The bowling trails is good. The only thing is the drinks were insanely expensive. They were almost 40 bucks each. We are not going back.

A lot of screens might get dizzy but good atmosphere

Great place to have a good time with the family and friends. Bianca at the bar was my favorite, made me feel welcome. She made great drinks and the service was amazing!!

Awesome experience had my daughters birthday here ... From the time my family and myself walked in the front desk/host/staff and manager GREAT customer service the whole time staff in GENERAL kept checking in with our Party ....THANK YOU BOWLERO IN GENERAL ....

I live in Chicago and go to bowlero quite often, but i?ve never been to such a chill one. I sat at the bar to watch the football game and Bianca was recommending all the right things. 10/10, definitely coming back.

Fun place for everyone, kids parties, tokers and drinkers all breeds straight up

I had a bunch of fun bowling with my family and the staff was so incredibly nice and outgoing ! Thanks to the friendly staff Bianca we were able to get situated and enjoy our time ! Very friendly folk and Fun vibess ! Def will be coming again.

I recently had an unfortunate experience here and feel compelled to share my feedback. Our visit was marred by persistent issues with the bowling lane, which seemed to malfunction for a significant portion of our time there. The inconvenience was exacerbated by the fact that we had to seek assistance from the manager, Christian, on more than 10 occasions. Despite the evident problems with the facility, the most disheartening part of our experience was the refusal of a refund due to the lack of a receipt. W

The pins are on strings. This is no longer a real bowling alley. I repeat all the pins are on retractable strings like an arcade bowling place.

The best bowling alley around. I'm glad that they have Group Me !

Nice lanes, food is pretty good too. Pricing is okay. Unlimited bowling Monday night starting at 8pm for about 17 bucks including shoes.

Family fun with cheap prices through Groupon

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
