Lost Levels Video Game Store + Arcade

This place is awesome. I have been coming here every other weekend for almost 4 years now. Very friendly staff. If I'm looking for a game they dont have, Steven and Jessie keep an eye out for me if it comes in. Which helped me complete my N64 Collection. The Arcade is a very cool experience. As you walk down those stairs, you feel like you walked back in time 30 years. If you're into trading cards, if it be, pokemon, sports, magic, etc. They got it up stairs in their card shop.

Update on the Arcade - The arcade area has been redone. There are now 7 pinball machines total. 5 downstairs and 2 upstairs. The 5 downstairs are all tied to the Stern Pinball Network so you can track your scores as you play. The pinball machines are not the latest and newest models but are all free play. Definitely a place to go and level up your pinball skills without dropping massive amounts of quarters at other pinball locations. Neat little video game store with a wide variety of retro gaming items. This review is for the arcade in the basement. They won't let you downstairs to view the arcade before paying. It's $10 for an hour and $15 for all day. I don't think anyone would spend over an hour here. There aren't enough games for that. If you go to their website you can see a list of games they have in the arcade.

Place looks amazing! Very clean and located in such an exciting area. Many shops all around. Walk down memory lane for sure. I am yet to visit the arcade downstairs. But guys, it has a freaking arcade downstairs! Check out the (many) pics I took.

Serious about keeping sanitized this clean and unique shop offers some classic console games upstairs with other fun Mario merchandise. Down into the basement looks like an old stone cellar. Once in the basement one finds many classic video games. Many of the real classics like Ms Pac Man, Galaga, Road B?laster, Donkey Kong, Tron, and many more allow one to play at either the half hour rate ($7) or the full hour rate at ($10 per person). This is a nice little spot. With both retro (NES is the oldest) and modern consoles, games and accessories to purchase upstairs, and a small arcade downstairs, this is a fun place to spend a few hours. The arcade downstairs isn't very well decorated, it basically looks like a concrete basement, but once you are playing the games, it doesn't matter anyhow! Great spot in Claremont, Vintage Arcade is my best description of this place. It's actually two floors with merch and new games on first floor and all the classics in the basement. We have been here several times and plan to come back.

Great spot! $7 buys you 30 mins unlimited gaming in the arcade, which is about the right amount of time to spend. Plus the staff usually rounds up the timer to give you 5 to 10 bonus minutes. Friendly place, great game collection and feels clean and good to be inside. Only FYI to know is that the arcade is downstairs and I don't think any accessibility options -- though they have a couple games upstairs too so may still be able to accommodate.

This place is a miracle. Shopping a room full of retro games that I remember from my childhood and having access to a well kept arcade in the basement absolutely made my day during my visit. I'm very glad I stumbled upon this store.

I took my son here to meet with his best friend, and the two of them enjoyed playing these classic arcade games. Good prices and fun for all ages. It's clean there too.

This is a awesome arcade spot to visit, besides the underground aracade it's also sells retro and modern games and collectible stuff and it's surrounded by good restaurants, caf?s, bars and shopping stores.

Great game store with some of the best selections I've seen in a CA retro game shop. The conditions of the games are all stellar and the prices are very fair. Some games are marked up a bit more than others, but nothing terrible. The hotter items like Pokemon games are more competitively priced. They also have some big ticket items in a display by the counter. Employees were nice, too. The store is tidy and the arcade is located down the stairs and charged by the hour.

Came here to sell some games. They are more then fair with the deals and have great customer service. Definitely recommend checking them out. We played the arcade at the chino hills location. Coming back to play the arcade with my son at the Claremont location next.

It is a nice arcade store, located in downtown area of Claremont. I have been here several times, to purchase vintage PlayStation video games, and look at other older video games. Of course, without video games, they have a good selection of Arcade machines, to play old games, and bringing back to 1980s. Of course, without video games, they sell video game related toys, and accessories. Definitely, if anyone is in the area of Claremont, I would recommend a visit to this store!

Pretty cool. $10 for an hour or $15 for a day pass. Arcade was a little small but had a good selection of games and pinball machines. Only issue was that some of the games didn't work due to mechanical issues (button didn't work or joystick wasn't responsive)

Has a decent selection of games that are priced fairly and are in good condition. The inside is nice and the arcade looks very promising, especially the pricing, I would recommend it to anyone looking for some retro games or an arcade to kill some time :)

Quickly replaced the batteries to two old Gameboy cartages I have. Super nice atmosphere, awesome collection, and the basement arcade looks pretty cool (although I haven't gone down yet). Prices are also very fair and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable!

Excellent arcade in a really hip part of town. Tons of games to choose from and the best part is you don't have to worry about running out of quarters! Best deal is the all day pass they sell because you can play all you want, leave, then come back later to play even more. Awesome arcade with a good selection of classic games that are hard to come across in most places. They have a game pass that's affordable and a really good deal. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is nice to talk to. There's also a super cool basement with a ton of great fighting games. Really there's no arcade like it. 10/10 would play again

This place has improved over the years. I swear I can't get good quality games anywhere, but here at Lost Levels. Amazon usually has games coming in all scratched up and I think that devalues the game in price. Sure there have been times where at one point they didn't sell video games which was a bumber. But later on they brought them back again. They have the best products better than any game store I've been to. I've never had to return a product not was I ever disappointed with my purchases. Great place to play a few old school arcade games right now in the month of may they didn't have all the games because they have a booth at the LA Fair. They sell old school games and new. The employees are really nice. I really enjoy going here. Highly recommend.

What a gorgeous, clean, friendly, welcoming store. There's no negative point in my book for this establishment. The staff is at the ready to greet you and help you with any questions you have. Pricing for games are exorbitant, maybe even downright exploitation of people who come in and don't know any better, seeking to support their local retro game store. Castlevania symphony of the night for 240 dollars, Vagrant Story for 120, God Hand for 185, you get the point. Lost Levels makes a point to show no pricing on their Instagram page, even deleting comments asking for price or pointing out how ridiculous their prices are. Do yourself a favor and shop online, retro gaming is not a market to support

It is a great store selling vintage video games. Conveniently located in downtown area of Claremont, inside the Claremont Packing House. They have a good selection of vintage and classic video games. Also, they do carry video games for newer consoles. Without video games, they do sell video game related merchandise, such as video game character toys. In addition, on the basement level, they have arcades to play. Definitely, I would recommend anyone, who is in downtown area of Claremont, to visit this store.

I swear this place is my absolute favorite. It has alot of old and new games. The arcade down stairs is also awesome to! This place never let's me down when I'm looking for a game I haven't played in years they always seem to get their hands on it and there are zero damage on the products. This is thee place to go to for old school and new school video game players.

From the perspective of my 80/90 internal kid... This places is awesome. Going down the stairs it felt like going back in time to a time where I spend hours playing some of my favorite games or until my mom send my sister to get me before I spent the groceries money on another try, lol... If you are a retro game collector, this is your store! Games and hardware are super clean and at fair value if you look at current ebay and price charter prices. Good selection too across the board. They even have an awesome arcade in their basement for $10 all you can play.

Great place to buy old school video games and consoles. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. The arcade is awesome with a good variety of arcades and pinball machines. My wife, my son and I really enjoy it.

$500 for a Nintendo Switch. Way to not price gouge during the pandemic. But hey, they will throw in an old game and a carrying case :/ Edit: looks like they reduced the price now that stocks are coming back, but when I wanted one in early June, it was only offered as part of $500 bundle with old game (not of customer choosing), carrying case, and a book. A Bit dry in terms of offerings, but the workers were very nice and polite. Decent enough for what they have. Say they get another shelf, and itd be 5 stars.

We went there with our 2 kids, and we were told that we need to pay as though we were going to play at the arcade for our kids to go down there because they were busy. So should we have an unsupervised 3 & 6 year old down in the video game basement or need to pay for us to not play to supervise our kids were the options they have. What a place to ruin your kids hopes for fun. Imagine if our parents were forced to pay $15 to not play arcade games and watch us as kids spend $10-$15 in quarters on games.

I've only been here once, but it was fun. I can see how it could get frustrating if too busy. There is a good selection of games, especially the vintage ones. It would be perfect if they could keep then working. About a third were broken when I was there.

Got absolutely scammed after trying to return a second hand controller I bought. Don't try to buy second hand products: they will try to gaslight you into thinking you broke them when they were sold broken in the first place.

80s flashback arcade. Love it. Lots of fun and they do rotate games. Better to get all day pass. 30 min pass is good if you are just rushing through but 30 min goes fast.

The arcade is in the basement and mostly contains classic games from the late 70's to early 90's. A good place to go alone or chill with friends if you're ever in the area. Can't imagine spending more than an hour here though.

An excellent classic arcade located downtown. Awesome atmosphere. And very inexpensive. Not too much of a selection but has made a great use of their space. A tad bit warmer downstairs.

Haven't been for the arcade but it's a Cool place and wide selection of games, consoles etc. bought a game that didn't work and they let me get another game and pay the difference. Good place

What a fantastic time! They have vintage arcade games, consoles, and even a pinball machine. At $10 for all you can play, it has to be the best value out there.

I honestly don't know why Fullerton location close but I bet it's because of the ridiculous prices and awful service. Not lost Level, lost out of your minds.

It's a 5 minute walk from the Claremont train station. Only $5 for 30 minutes of unlimited arcade play or $10 for the full day. Highly recommended it!

I enjoy the lost levels arcades! They keep the games classic which lets me feel the nostaglia of arcades i dug in my younger years!! And the artwork is awesome!!

Not many games & they want to charge for a parent who is not playing. My 13 & 15 yo were both bored within 1 hr.
