A super cool spot for retro gaming, they even have DDR! They have a long list of beer selections so take time to try more than one! The games look fun and they have leagues and tournaments that play as well. You can also order from Fry Like an Eagle and get it delivered to the bar! A great space and right behind the bus stop so easy to get to.
I don't drink but I've been informed the drinks are cheap and a pretty good deal. Arcade is awesome. ATM and coin machine both available in the building, cabinets still use quarters. Really fun to go with friends or solo Seems like pinball is huge here! It unfortunately can be a tight squeeze to get around people, especially when people are at the game cabinets. I have trouble navigating sometimes because of how crowded it can get!
Best arcade bar in Chicago. Queer-friendly af - don't believe the bs hype. Bring a valid ID and leave your kids at home! 21+ only.
Didn't eat there, but played a bunch of games. Had a lot of fun, bathroom was clean! Would definitely go back!
If you're into vintage pinball machines and craft beer, Logan Arcade is a dream come true. The machines are lovingly maintained and cover everything from ?80s classics to newer releases. It's laid-back, nostalgic, and has an awesome community vibe. A fun, slightly nerdy alternative to your standard night out.
The drinks are the right price and they let the sound from the games be more important than the music they play in the bar. Also, they have the limited versions of Stern pinball machines.
This place is really cool if you want to geek out on video games! 4 player packman and pinball machines galore! Just sat at the bar for a drink, didn't eat.
One of my favorite places to go in the city. My girlfriend and I are Burger Time fiends (Despite being terrible at the game) and paying one to two quarters per play is much better than the $25 entrance fee you pay at most arcades. They've got great beers on tap and fun movies if you just wanna sit.
A much better barcade than Emporium and its ilk. Rhythm Heaven is my favorite arcade cabinet in the city. I like that a movie is screened in the front room, but the speaker set up needs some serious maintenance. Was deafeningly loud/overwhelming, but only on the low end, and after asking for it to be turned down (which was kindly obliged), the dialogue became inaudible.
Absolutely loved this place! Melissa is wonderful and they have the best pinball machines!! Had my first Chicago handshake. I love Mal?rt.
What a SPOT!!! Super DUPER EXCITED ABOUT THIS SPOT!! I have been a big fan of pinball lately and my name is Logan so this was PERFECT!! I didn't get a drink because i was too excited to be there and playing pinball in LOGAN ARCADE!! The staff was incredibly friendly! I dropped some stickers off to the bartender and he was super nice. Glad I said hi! It was a lil Uber ride from the Chop Shop, we are playing there tonight. The Uber was even a TESLA!! What a good day to have fun with some good friends. Dave
I love this place and I'm sad I moved farther away and don't get to bug the best bar staff in the city very often. Great games, great draft selection and some of the best people!! Tip well!!
It's was a great experience! Cool atmosphere with a ton of retro games, all for very good prices too! I would highly recommend this place to anyone into arcades!
Logan Arcade is the best arcade bar in the city. They have a great selection of beer that changes frequently. Their pinball machines are always well maintained. The atmosphere is the best due to all the pinball backglasses on the wall and all the random collectibles behind the bar. Just an awesome feeling athletically. Everyone is always super friendly. Their happy hour is a really good deal if you're a beer person. Check it out on a Wednesday with the happy hour for free pinball and some good beer to go w
I had an opportunity to visit Logan Arcade with my boyfriend as part of his birthday celebration and we had the most AMAZING time! This place is so fun and fantastic, with so many games to choose from! They also have a vegan food menu, which is so delicious!
Excellent place for arcade and beer lovers! Wide selection of beer and liqour. The place hits you with its charm before even entering. It is full with probably many of your famous arcade games! Our favorite was the Pacman game which is played on a table like unit with up to four people. Also try Jurassic Park which is very dynamic, full of action and has cool gun feedback. Loved this place!
An arcade in the bones of a hardware store that has everything you're looking for. My one criteria for a barcade is that they have a Tapper machine. After walking in and showing our ID and proof of vaccination, we immediately did a lap to see what was on offer. We saw pinball machines lining the wall all the way to the back as well as many classic machines. I had not caught sight of Tapper and was dismayed. As I was checking out a game, I heard someone behind me say, ?Where is that beer game?? I responded
Food can be brought in, fun place to catch up on old times. Good place to check agility and reaction times as I've aged?.
Great bar-cade, 10 player "Killer Queen" , Vec-9, Pac-man 4 player vs, Attack from Mars, Revenge from Mars, new Stern Beatles, adams family, Medieval Madness, the new Black Knight, ... Xenon! All on quarters, but all well maintained. Excellent place to spend multiple hours. Quarters up!
Great vibe! Much more laid back vibe than say, Emporium. They also are the only ones in Chicago to have Killer Queen! It's a sober dun/new 10 player game. Great beer list as well.
A great arcade bar! The games take quarters so a lot easier then getting tokens. There is this really amazing Jurassic Park game but it quickly bites your money. Overall, I had a great experience here!
Update, visiting ~a year later: pleased to report every machine I tried was in great shape, including my beloved BAD CATS ?? Glad to see this place living up to its potential. Highly recommended! Huge selection of games, great atmosphere and a lot of fun.
One of my favorite spots in Chicago. Tasty drinks, fun games, awesome crowd, and very friendly bartenders.
Best barcade in Chicago! Great selection of games, and if you haven't already, play Killer Queen! Such a fun game, best played with a group. Some days it's even free to play. And the Walking Dead game is lots of fun. Highly recommend.
Cool atmosphere, brings back that hole-in-the wall feeling arcade. Staff are super cool and very attentive, drinks are always reasonably priced and made well, arcade is ran with quarters, coin machine is there so bring cash. Most things will be a $1 or less. Id recommend $20 a person at least for the arcade if you plan to stay a couple hours. A third of the place is pinball machines while the rest are game-machines. Some really unique stuff you won't see in many other places like Bishi bishi channel, killer
Super friendly staff, great machines, they were very well maintained. He recommended a local beer that was great, a ziegel, I think. I will definitely return next time I'm in Chicago.
Super chill place with a giant beer menu and lots of different games to play
Great place to drink and play pinball! Atmosphere and decor is unique and fun
I absolutely love Logan Arcade. The only problem was last time I was there someone noticed my friend off of JoystickTV and she was kind of embarrassed lol
The service here is great! The owner really put love and it shows. It's beautiful and the perfect place to play Pin ball my all time favorite. The food here was tasty and yummy to. Really hot and came out fast we got some appetizers and some beers and two mixed drinks.
Best pinball spot in Chicago. That new Stern game? They 100% have it. Friendly staff, and good drink selection.
Favorite spot for a late night out. Rotating video and pinball games make visits feel fresh and the DDR Extreme cabinet is a blessing to have so close to home. The cabinet always works well and everyone playing is happy to swap around if it's busy and is a nice spot to marathon a few rounds on a quiet night.
Amazing selection of pinball, good prices. Well definitely be back next time I'm in Chicago.
Great place to play old video games! Great bartenders, awesome drinks, super kool vibe!!
Man I love this place. The pinball is well maintained. Great rotating selection of games. Classic and modern (pretty much just Stern in the modern camp). The beer selection is always great. Love the ability to get food and it is freaking rad. If I had one critique it's the hours. I preferred the pre Covid hours. I get it it's got to be tough these days to open earlier during the week. I'll only wish for those early happy hour days to come back and won't hold it against them.
The greatest barcade in all of Chicago. Hands down. Huge selection of arcade games and pinball machines, all in excellent condition. Large, open space with plenty of seating and clean (for a bar) bathrooms. Not to mention the animatronic chuck-e-cheese style "band." Lol
I appreciated the variety of games and beverages here, specifically the great draft & can/bottle beer list. Plus they checked our vaccination cards which put me at ease spending time here. Will be back!
Great pinball and vintage arcade!
Fun place, with a wide array of games (focus is on games). Not to big or a bar selection. Definitely had some nastalgic moments. If you are looking to play games from childhood and have an adult beverage... Than this is a good place. If you want an expansive bar menu with games and a bit more of a hyped vibe.... I would check out the Beer arcade.
Amazing Arcade Bar, good option if you don't want to feel the crowd mood of emporium , good selection of beers and affordable prices.
Logan has the best kept games and the best selection of pinball in Chicago. Plus, the killer queen community that frequents here is always really welcoming and willing to teach new players. Short story, go to Logan.
I can't say enough good things about this place local bar great drinks great people must go! Es are amazing!
Came by with some friends on a monday night. It was perfect because only a few people was there. No wait on games. Most games cost 1 quarter but some cost 2 for newer ones. Pinball cost 3. The craft beer i got was good. This place had a bunch of different games, with some i never saw before. The only line was for a game called queen bee. Most games were working as well as the buttons and all. Parking was kind of a trouble but we found something close. We had alot of fun before we went out to eat. Would come
Awesome spot for a casual night out. Went hear the day the Kendrick Lamar album released and they played it in its entirety. Definitely coming back to this place
Chill vibe. Tasty beer. Security at the door. Lots of pineball games. The old school wooden floors makes the arcade machines come alive.
Such a fun place to go and play all sorts of games. Constantly getting new games in, including godzilla VR!!!! Reasonably priced and they even have game related events
Great selection of beer, great music, great selection of games. The only downside to this place is that you can expect to pay full price for their pinball machines. But I think you'll get over it.
Amazing arcade with well maintained hardware. Tons of NA beer options which is always great to see! That being said a few logistical limitations: 1) No food, but I believe outside food is allowed. 2) American Express (Amex) is not accepted. 3) Cash only to get quarters to play games. There is an ATM however.
Being from just outside Ann Arbor, I fondly remember the pinball parlours of the 70s and 80s: Mickey Rats, Focus, and Pinball Pete's. Having lived on the Northside since the 90s, I also remember the old Logan Hardware. So I greatly enjoyed two layers of nostalgia when I walked through the doors last month.
Logan Arcade is honestly arcade game heaven and is THE best arcade in all of Chicago. Not only is the environment and energy chill and relaxed but the whole place is super clean and the employees are very friendly and down to earth people. Unlike other arcades that are dirty, certain arcade machines not working and mean employees, Logan arcade delivers on all fronts and they make sure lots of love and care is put into the place including the games. All my friends love coming here and I will probably go unti
Great bar, better arcade. Weekly events, twitch channel all sorts of vintage arcade cabs. This places oozes aesthetic, if you are a gamer of any age, you will feel right at home.
My friends and I always come here after seeing a movie at the Regal to have a drink and play VEC9. Awesome beer selection, tons of weird and cool arcade games and pinball machines, and everyone there is always in such a good mood!
Games are awesome, and you can get a lot of tokens for $5! Drinks are good, too, and inexpensive! The happy hour is worth it. The food is also great and delicious! You order from scanning the QR code, and they deliver it to the bar. All the food is vegan. It's such a great place to hang out. I love coming here :)
Talk about a place with a one-of-a-kind personality! This place feels like home. The selection of games are excellent. The food and drinks are so affordable. Don't get me started on the house animatronic band, the Fur Fighters (they rock so hard). And the decorations are such a perfect twist of 80s basement video game vibes, and year round Halloween, and a warm, welcoming getaway from modern technology. I love the simplicity of using these vintage machines and taking a break from smart phones for a minute.
Kind of pricy as far as arcades go but they have an impressively large drink menu
Great arcade. Great ambiance and lots of pinball in Great shape.
Logan Arcade is the real deal folks. The atmosphere of this place is movie-like. They have a ton of Pinball with the very latest games sitting along side highly desirable classics. The lighting, noise level, wood floors and various areas of play all give it a truly unique vibe you won't find anywhere else. You owe it to yourself to visit. The staff here are very chill, friendly, approachable and give this place the unique character you can't just find anywhere.
Great selection of games, especially pinball, and they are well cared for
It's the best place to play pinball in Chicago. You can tell the owners really care. Also regular tournaments. Don't miss it! My only complaint is damn are those singing stuffed animals loud. Like, hearing damage loud. Just don't get near them at the top of the hour.(They've since turned them down a bit!)
This place is so fun. The arcade games are great and I'm psyched to have found somewhere with a ddr cabinet! The beer menu is also extensive and the prices are good, too!
The best arcade bar in the city with some nice fried pub food as a bonus. This is the best place to go if you want to join a weekly gaming group whether it's Pinball or Fighting games they'll have it here
My fave place. It's been getting a little to crowded lately, though.
One of the best spots around. LGBTQ+ friendly and so many great pinball machines & video arcade games. Good prices on drinks with a rotating list. 10/10 would recommend!
Had a great time at pinball night. Got to meet some cool people. Bartender was attentive and friendly.
Was walking through Logan Square for the first time in 5 years on a Thursday evening early May when we walked past this place full of sound and energy bursting through the glass windows. We had to check it out. It was very lively full of fun game options and craft beers. We had big back packs as we just flew in to Chicago, and the ID guy at the front was nice enough to store our bags safely away. The games were really cheap!! Skee Ball was only 2 quarters per play, and the basketball games were also only 2
Great cocktails, not too crowded. Wish I could just order food at the bar instead of going through the web, and although they only serve vegan food it still tastes good fried. Nice mix of games, especially appreciate the wide selection of pinball! Will be back the next time I'm in town
I had a blast at this arcade bar in Logan Square, Chicago! The vibes here are unbeatable, creating an electric atmosphere that sets the perfect mood for some serious fun. The game selection is top-notch, offering a diverse range of options that cater to all tastes. Whether you're planning to pregame before heading to Wrigleyville or catching a Cubs baseball game, this place is a fantastic choice. It's the ultimate spot to kickstart your night with laughter, competition, and great drinks. A 5-star gem in Lo
Great games and an awesome staff makes this Chicago's best place to reconnect with your inner child. Now featuring food from Fry Like An Eagle!
Great place Such a good vibe Great pinball selection
Arcade games, beer, and (most of the week) food! The beer is a nice selection, they have a full bar, and the games are fairly priced (with a few that are free to play). This is a great barcade! The only thing missing is Tapper Make sure to bring cash for the quarter machine (or just bring your own quarters). Cheers! ??????
Great place. Make sure you bring a physical id or they won't let you in.
While the selection of games was not the best in town and the fact that you do have to pay for them with actual quarters could be a deterrent to some, the fact that there is a full bar with cocktails makes up for a lot. We had an excellent time played some really interesting games and enjoyed a selection of pinball options along with turtles in time and a few other arcade classics. The shocking stand out was a game from the '80s that looks like a game from the '50s called ice Cold beer. It was surprisingly
We love going to Logan Arcade, it's such a cool little place with lovingly kept up machines, a lot of spirit, sweet animatronics restored and given new identity. The only real downfall is when it gets a little too crowded, which I suppose could be said for any establishment. The popularity is definitely a factor. And honestly for good reason. Wherever you turn your gaze there is something fun and unique to behold. The walls are adorned well and not overly crowded. All the masks around give it a perpet
Love this place. Friendly customer service and super fun nerding out.
Had a great experience here while passing through Chicago on a trip. Lots of cool pinball tables, and a few other arcade machines. They had an impressive beer and liquor selection, and the bartender made great suggestions on local specialties. I loved the decor; they had a wall of CRT TVs playing Stuart Gordon horror movies, and tons of old toys above the bar. If I lived in Chicago, I'm sure this would be one of my regular stops!
top place! we will definitely come again??
This place is exactly where you want to be. Amazing collection of vintage, indie, and sorry rare one off video games. Also their pinball collection is top notch, one of the few places to play limited edition of all the best machines. Staff are really nice, embrace the geek culture of the place, and know their beers/drinks. The crowd is definitely hip, but not in a bad way. There are definitely people there who take their pinball very seriously, but they are tempered by a lot of people who just want to hav
Tons of pinball, arcade, and video game systems. They also have NA beverages like Cheerwine if your living sober, or just want a night without alcohol. This place is busy which makes for a fun atmosphere. Quick service at the bar too. Thanks!
This was a great place with a great atmosphere. You kinda feel like you belong. Its casual and comfortable. I go with a pocket full of change so i can play arcade games. One can have a fun time and not "break the bank". Its a bar, so what more can i say. THEY SERVE ALCOHOL. AND you can bring in your OWN food. You can customize your experience there. Its a must try, if you ask me. So... try it. You'll love it. I know you'll go again and again.
First and foremost, I wanna give a HUGE/BIG shoutout to I believe his name was Andy! I hope management sees this and shares this/shows Andy this review! Andy is an all out all around great, friendly, and very helpful person/staff member. My friend and I were talking with him yesterday about how much we love this place and how awesome it is to see that there's still a place like this around, old school, and feels like walking in a time machine! We were saying how this was our 2nd time being here and just lov
Pinball as far as the eye can see and a great mix of other games and great bar selection with a welcoming crowd. Biscuits 4ever
This is a great place to chill with a pocket full of quarters, decent drink prices and very well taken care of pinball machines.
Had an incredibly fun time here, some of the games are even free! The games are all fairly priced alongside the drinks. They had someone spinning vinyl the entire night I was there. They also had a ton of loose vinyls for sale. Some of them gems fairly priced. And some of them priced at just a dollar! A fun bar for anyone who likes a bit of pinball or Pacman!
the absolute only arcade bar in chicago worth visiting! amazing vibes, tasty vegan snacks, and the best maintained games in the city. an institution!!
Old school vibe with fantastic beer selection, (Surly anyone?), great variety of pinball games, lots of free play, information, and die hard clientele. They had a DJ adding celebratory ambience and equipment setups for active players engaging in pinball competition. All issues with games were clearly posted for potential players, including status updates in maintenance. But the Katana!??
It's rare to find an arcade that has a fantastic selection that is well maintained when it comes to pinball. Most of them have few offerings, or when you show up you find out half of them are broken down and the other half are in disrepair. Logan Arcade is fantastic. The vibe, the games, the bar -- it's a solid spot. The arcade in general is great, but it's a paradise for pinball. Bring some cash for the quarter machines, and get to enjoying some classics as well as some brand new games.
This is the best arcade in Chicago in terms of game selection. Their selection of machines is top notch, with more rare pinball machines than anywhere else I've been to in the city. Their drink prices are also pretty reasonable. The only reason for 4 stars is that a lot of the games are pricey. Sometimes I don't mind paying the premium to play ($0.75 or $1.00 a play) but if I'm going to spend a full night here, that can add up quickly. I'll usually come here, play 5 games of specialty pinball that I can't f
A great selection of arcade cabinets and even some unique games like Killer Quenn make this my favorite bar in Chicago
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
