Positive reviews highlight good value, family-friendly experiences, and dedicated staff. Customer Reviews

We had a super fun time here. We went during the slow hours and played 2 games. When were done they only charged me for the shoe rentals. I couldn't believe it. They were so friendly. The place is a little dated but it is a great place to go bowling. They have a bar and serve food here also. The process are very reasonable. There is an arcade for the kids as well. I highly recommend for some good bowling fun.

My daughter has my grandsons party here. Overall for the size it was a good location for if. The kids had fun and they loved the laser tag

The Ennis Bowling Alley has changed owners and they are putting some major money and effort into upgrading this important entertainment option in Ennis. They have upgraded all the lanes, brought in new arcade and gaming equipment, new pool tables, added dart boards. More cosmetic upgrades coming as well. Still cheaper than big name establishments near by. Definitely going to be enjoying more family nights out with these folks! Very exciting for Ennis!

Always have a blast at lion lanes. Staff is super helpful. Lots of room so you're not over crowded.

It seemed like a fun place and when I had called to see if lanes were open the desk worker was so disrespectful and rude.

Great atmosphere, helpful folks, will work with you on group parties if less than 10 in your group. Arcade, Lazer tag, Bowling, Pool, & Bar!!!

My husband and I bowl league here, it's a friendly and nice place to bowl. We have our grandson bowling in a youth league, and the youth program is growing! We love supporting a local business. The owners are pretty nice too :). Here is a picture of my husband bowling a perfect 300 game earlier this year.

We enjoy coming and bringing the kids here from time to time. They also have laser tag (not available on Tuesdays)

Under construction right now but once all of the hard work has been completed and the lanes are ready it will be fun for the entire family!

Love this place fun for the whole family

The employee serving drinks was pretty disrespectful, i asked for two drinks with no ice & he proceeds to put ice in the cups anyways. I reminded him that i ask for no ice in a respectful manner, he got very annoyed because he had to dump the ice out & says ?you've should?ve just said that to begin with? in a very agitated voice. Which I did tell him, he seemed very bothered by it which i don't understand. I asked for no ice, that's all i ask for. i?m paying $3.50 each for two drinks & i asked for no ice in

What a great place to go. We have been several times and had a birthday party with laser tag, and couldn't have been more fun. The whole staff is great as well.

Arrived with 4 kids for birthday party. We weren't allowed to do laser tag because didn't prebook?even when it wasn't busy. Spent $120 on arcade, only to find more than 1/3 of games were out of order. When we asked clerk how he could help, he just said ?sorry?. Won't visit again!

Amazing, always a little empty, and thankfully, they try not to pair you with people unless it's packed

Went for my little cousin?s birthday, but this place defines RACISM or prejudice, how ever you want to call it. The bartender who was on cigarette break charged my husband $4.50 for a beer, but the other people in our group who are white were charged $4 and we ALL bought the same beer brand. Also, the drinks are very weak, he said it's ratio of 1:1, I shouldn't have given him a tip. The women?s restroom was dirty and one stall working. First and last time there. Not typically my kind of place. The place had

Came today for a birthday party. The most impressive young man, Mason, was taking care of lanes, shoes, checking people in and also keeping up with trash from our party. Amazing young man. Bowling was great. Plenty of balls in popular weights for all the kids and parents. A lot of fun. Oh ya and it really wasn't even crowded!

Two times my friends and I came to bowl , yesterday bowl league, I understand that but other lanes was open. They said no and we left. Today Thursday they are closed at 9. What type of business are they running, not making any money that's for sure, they just suck, not wasting my time their, I'm going to waco. They treat customers better over all

Quiet and friendly place. It's been a few years since I've been there and it's under new name. Used to be All Star bowling. Wasn't too busy on Saturday afternoon. They have plenty of lanes and yes they have a concession stand. Pro Shop also available for your special needs. Family gatherings a plus to have....there was a bday party there also. Thumbs up! Highly recommend

What can I say. It's a bit outdated bowling alley. Mind you, they do have a couple of arcade machines, laser tags, and pool tables. The bathroom needs updating as well. They do have a variety of food to order. The lady at the front desk was helpful and patient.

Was glad to see the broken pool sticks were replaced and now have pool sticks to use, when I forget my personal stick at home. I ordered food while there, Drake made some great chicken tacos with fresh hand cut fries. The pin ball matches moved to the bar and was so fun to play on.

We had my daughter's 16th birthday party here with 30 teenagers attending. The staff was awesome... very accommodating and helpful!! The kids had a great time and it was a great experience! The pool tables and arcade games were a hit and they had a great time bowling. I felt that it was reasonably priced for that many kids.

These young adults that work here are very respectful! We love to come here because they are never "overcrowded" like Waxahachie! We have never had an issue with anything other than the grands not wanting to leave. Thank you guys for always making our experience (for old folks like us) great!

Went to the alley recently and it was a blast!!! The homemade pizza's are delicious. I'm not a huge drinker but the bar had a lot of options! Very fun night!

Lanes/shoes were sticky...no slide. Wouldn't let us bring a bday cake for 4 year olds party, even though we ordered food, rented lane and shoes, all adults except for the one 4 year old, and it wasn't at all busy. Food was pretty good, but am fighting diarrhea...maybe old fry grease? Drinks were good and reasonable. Facility is clean and personnel helpful if you asked. Strange not to have seating down by lanes, but tables were close.

Well today we decided to go play some pool. When we arrived leagues were bowling which was fine because we were there to shoot some pool. As soon as we got to the bar to pay we were told the pool area was closed because there was a league playing! How does that matter they were doing their thing and we were in a separate area. The bartender then rudely stated ?Any questions you can go talk to the Manager!? So unless you're in a Bowling League you're not welcome to use any other amenities in the place. I sh

This place was awesome. The drinks and food was so good. The staff are all so super nice. My favorite part...well beside the drinks...was the fact that you can select music that you wish to be played from your phone!!!!

Employees are very rude! It was like they don't want your business. We will not be back

We celebrated my son's 9th birthday, and it was awesome! The staff was helpful, the price was more than fair and the 14 kids and all the adults had an excellent time! Thank you All Star Bowl for an excellent time!

Our group ranged in age from 8 to 66, and all had a great time. The ball return kept malfunctioning, but staff patiently unclogged it each time. Food was a little slow but there was only one person working the snack bar and she was working very hard.

My family and I went there tonight for a family night out. My husband in NOt CONFRONTATIONAL at all. We ordered 2 double shots of patron, but when received they were in fact NoT double shots. My husband tried to tell the bartender. He must have been drunk bc he attacked my husband in a very aggressive manner. We left it to a $35 tab for 2 single shots and left. This is definitely not a family place and is just something bad waiting to happen. NEVER AGAIN!

Its hard to find a bowling alley this big anymore, there's lots of room to upgrade and develop the business. The owners are really dedicated to that growth and they are doing it ground up as purists who want to keep league and sport alive without sacrificing the entertainment value. Great place to spend some time amd they have a guy making custom fit equipment.

They have bowling, laser tag, arcade games and a concession stand. The food is alright only complaint is that the wait is long. There is usually not a lot of people there so great for family events. The laser tag arena is big so that's good. The arcade is okay there is always a game out of order and the credits are super expensive.

Would not recommend, do not take your family here. If you're looking for a fun/ clean environment with friendly service to bowl at, this is not the place. Just drive the extra 15-20 min to waxahachie.

We have grandsons birthday party there every year. He and his friends and family really enjoyed it.

I was honestly disappointed. I called ahead to ask if I could cut a cake for my sister's birthday and was told it was fine, only to be told when I got there that it would cost me an outrageous 130$ to do so, I wasted a whole cake and decided we'd bowl since we had made the trip. The lanes glitched on us twice , first by not resetting the pins, and then by not returning our balls.... The only good thing is that they did fix our time on the lane, but only because I had asked after waiting 15minuts and had to

If you are not in a bowling league and you just want to take your family bowling. DONT come here. The employees will not be happy you're here. A lot of their video games are broken, and they have no pool sticks. They probably won't give you quarters for the tables either. DONT waste your time or gas to come here.

If I could give zero stars I would, first the people at the counter were very rude to me and my family. Then at the end of the night after we got done bowling we had been there two hours and they were charging us for 28 games. That means 1 game every 4 minuets, if that is even physically possible someone please let me know because you are magic. ?????

Fun environment, Monday early bowling was a good time. Coffee needed help. Would have been 5 stars. Never mind added a star coffee wasn't terrible. Thank you to the staff.

Me and my sister and the rest of our family clan went here to go bowling. Although we wasnt able to bowl I am still giving them this 5bstar rating for the following reason. My son is on the Spectrumhe is 4. He has severe sensory issues especially noise related. While we was I side it started to hail outside and it was loud. My son went into full freak out mode. The lady working the shoe rental and etc was so amazing. She and others went searching for him a pair headphones to try and help him calm down. An

Bowling is bowling. The bar only pours half a shot, and I waited 30 mins for chips and cheese (nachos.) the kitchen and bar was stressed they had to close for 30 mins to catch up on orders. So just bowling, cool. If you wanna drink and eat, hard pass. Def recommend the new alley in waxahachie.

So glad that trace and April bought this alley they have already begun making wonderful changes I anticipate more changes to come thank you for making the appearance of this bowling alley a hundred times better than it has been in many years was a great pleasure to visit the bowling alley once again had not been here in three years

Very disappointed the last time i went. It seemed like most the people that work there acted annoyed when asked for help or service. My family was told no lanes were open when only a few lanes were being used. We asked to play laser tag since we were unable to bowl. They told us laser tag was closed. Ok......we still atleast wanted to let our daughter have fun so we asked for game cards. 3 game cards one for me, one for my husband and one for my daughter. We always do this then let her use the points to ge

When I came here as a kid, it was an awesome experience. When I got older and coming here with friends, it was still awesome. When i became a man and came to bowl in leagues, it was still as awesome as it ever was. Fast forward to now with these new owners. I must say...this place isn't what it used to be. For a Friday night it was slow. More than half the lanes were still open. I saw no kids...Maybe 2... I had fun but that's just because of who I was with. The bowling ball retrievers need work. Th

Went for a birthday party and had so much fun! We played lazer tag which was really awesome(had no idea they even had lazer tag) and played a cheap game of bowling. Cute little place but it's a little outdated. They need more bowling balls but other than that it was great.

We had my grandsons 3rd bday party there & We were quite pleased. The only suggestion I would have is that they need 1 or 2 more of the metal kids bowling rack things (don't know what's it's called). Very nice & helpfull staff. Sun 3/18/18

We were there for girls birthday party and family was disappointed and felt discrimination for sitting us by the restroom. We could smell the mess coming from the restrooms. Will not be going back

My first time there, I wanted to play pool ??. I had a great time. The staff were great. I will return.

They have a deal on a website that says it's $1 to bowl a game and a dollar rental for shoes! So i was going to play from 10 to 12. at 10 when I walked in the website says the place closes at 12 which I live about 25 minutes away when I get in there to get shoes he said well it looks like you got about 30 minutes left I get there at 10 he goes well it's not cost effective so we're going to have to close in about 30 minutes! I said i drove from Hachie he was like its (its cost effective!).... So i was not

This bowling alley needs to be reminded that there is a very nice bowling alley just down 287 that charges 25.00 for 1.5 hours of bowling on the weekend. Further, dogs should not be allowed in a bowling alley unless it is a service dog.

The place is alright. I always get put on fried lane conditions from open bowlers so I can never actually get a feel of how the lanes are. The place either feels understaffed or the mechanics/machine technicians in the back dont hear the calls for pin setter issues (like pins on deck/double feed or scissors/forks dropping pins) or ball returns whith you ball spinning in the back on the ball wheel getting chewed/scuffed up. We had to wait about 10-15minutes for a tech to hop onto our pair to clear a double f

had a wonderful experience here at Lions Lanes I got to do a little bit of everything and I do say the laser tagging had to be my most favorite part of the place I do hope they upgrade the laser tagging place soon so that everyone gets a better experience ??

Fun and Exciting! And the Owners are super kind & courteous! Love this place!

We came on a league night, my sons and I, and we spent all of our 3 hours there playing in the arcade and eating pizza. Great pizza by the way and entertaining to watch the teams bowl.

I don't recommend this place. Overpriced lanes very rude bossy people. Will say the place is very clean and wide open because nobody?s there.

Had a great time with my school district here, good for family and adults alike with bowling, laser tag, games, pool tables, etc ...

It's a bowling alley, what can I say? A little run down, but still a good place to spend some time with family and friends. Snack bar was good, and beer was cold

The food was delicious, the employees were very sweet! Will definitely come back.

Been bowling here forever since it opened in 1990s . Went there 2 weeks ago and was informed I couldn't get 2 lanes at the same time unless I bowled league there.. I've spent a lot of money there over the years but think I'll drive into a neighboring town or dfw to bowl and spend my money.

The lanes have some sort of maintenance problem every time I've been there and the scores hardly ever show up right when you bowl you have to keep fixing them yourself, its frustrating when your trying to have a good time. Wont be going back.

I wish it made the money to revamp itself. But hey if you want to feel like you are in the command center of the Houston space station as the first moon landing is happening. This is the place.

Family fun friendly staff

It is very frustrating when a Google Search shows the hour to open is 4:00PM, yet the Bowling Alley website says open at 12:00PM. I called the Bowling Alley at 1:10 and there is no answer. I called on Monday to as what time they opened on Tuesday and the answer was "Let's say around 1:00".

Pages were dry my feet wouldn't slide and when I complained I was told there was nothing they could do about it. This use to be a great place to bowl

Great place! Had a blast...clean polished lanes, good selection of bowling ball, fun for b-day parties with games with prizes and laser tag!

Seems like a good bowling alley, the price per game is pretty high but overall a good spot.

Lazer tag and bowling are the only decent things. The arcade games are outdated and the drinks + food is super expensive . Not great tasting and not allot of alchohol for the price you pay

I Love It Sweetheart's Brylea Back to Get Bowling Yesterday My Take Going through Cute BestFriend's Use Average on infiniti On?????????Very Loved Sweetheart's Friend's Back To Learn 23 Years Old My Jose Navy Clothes This Week Again,??

What I like about lions lanes is that if I come bowling with my 6yr old and I don't what the bumpers they have a way for them to go down when I'm bowling and when my kid is bowling they come back up!! P.S the owners are awesome!!!

Great establishment the owners Tice and April Hopkins really care about the bowlers and the service they provide. I love supporting them and bowling league here!!!!

First time visiting this bowling alley. Big place. Like that it has other options like a game room and lazer tag room also. Plan to go back.

This place is awesome, the staff is really nice. The laser tag is so much fun and I can say that this is a family friendly placr!

Laser tag was fun. A lot of the arcade games don't work. The attendant didn't seem very happy to be there......

Great place to bowl, very helpful people, wish they had some weekend tournament's and it would be nice if someone would come in and open up a nice and well stocked Pro-Shop.

All afternoon bowling $5. Lanes are great, lit bright and clean! Love the friendly staff as well.

The concession stand took 45 minutes to make a hamburger. I was famished, the prices were high and the laser tag was long wait. Then they put a whole party ahead of my son.

Very clean and family friendly pizza and wings were good will definitely go again with my family.

Owners are fabulous, sio is the staff.

Once the new owner starts fixing up the place I'll give them a 5 star this place still a gem of Ennis needs new bowling balls but give them a chance

It's a little run down and needs a bit more neon but it's a fun place to hangout and play pool with friends

Haven't been here in years love what they did to it so nice and fun

Online it says open from 4-11 but you show up They close at 5 good thing I didn't spend my money here!!!!!!

Really seems to be kept up nowadays.. I think there is a slightly new owner and it seems to show.. Nice place to go

Good times with the family! Arcade was nice too!

Has a nostalgic vibe to it. Very affordable for family

Awesome experience and an all-out place to go and have some fun. Is known as Lions Lanes now!!!

The people were very nice and accommodating.we had a blast. definitely going back.

Nothing special to me not as friendly atmosphere as I expected it to be! It was a dull place than I'm used to . I'm used to bigger bowling alley!

Only 5 dollars to bowl on Mondays! Definitely recommend this place

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
