Customer Reviews

Brittany was so nice.. I meet a couple of guys at the bar. Told them I was in Town from Pittsburgh. After loosing both my parents 5 days part. Brittany made really good margaritas and the frogger drink was delicious. Great customer service great people. Overall a great place to hang out. Definitely million stars if I could.

Lots of old school arcade games! From 4-7 pm weekdays is Happy Hour plus you can bring the kiddos to enjoy the games you played when little. Made for a nice outing ahead of dinner. This bar has no food but allows you to bring in anything other than beverages. We just brought some bagged snacks. Pinball ranges from $0.25 t0 $1 per game.

I enjoyed my time here. Normally barcades around Columbus are uncomfortably full on a Friday night, this was moderate and all the games worked. I would highly recommend checking this spot out. Fun drink selection, some great pinball and on the huge plus side...they were all working, including the vintage pinball games.

Seriously my favorite arcade bar ever. Way better than pins or any of the other overrated arcade bars. They have great drinks here and a lot of fun games to play. We always have the best time here & the drinks are so affordable.

If you like playing old school games, this is the place. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I took off one star because they do not serve food.

Awesome place. Great staff. Great vibe. Arcade games are free to play with the purchase of a drink, which is such a great deal. Good selection of beers and ciders. My first experience with this place was in 2017. I was passing through this way again recently, and it was one of the prime places on my list to revisit. Pew Pew!

Great place to spend a Saturday! I went with a group of friends and we ended up spending the whole afternoon playing arcade games and drinking beer. Level one has a great selection of arcade games some original vintage and some later games. The games are all free to play. They have an entire side wall of pinball machines. The pinball machines do cost $.50/$1.00. Some of the machines offered 3 games for $2.00. There was a tournament happening when we were visiting so there was a lot of people however there w

Great place to go to get some original 80s and 90s games. They've got almost any you can think of. Most of the games work but there are a few that were just disappointing because they've been broken for months and never repaired. Skeeball was closed when I was there and it was always one of my favorite things (25?/game). They've also got loads of pinball but those are $1/game. All other games are free, you don't even need to purchase a drink to play (although it's the right thing to do). Great place for kid

Used to be a fun spot for drinks and games. Now it seems outdated and kinda boring. No new pinball games added. Some of the pinball games don't even work properly. The arcade games have glitches and seem to take your money. The drink menu pretty much doesn't change.

Great place to hang out and play some old arcade games and pinball machines. The drinks are great and the prices are reasonable. They even have video game themed drinks.

A stones throw away from the Hilton I was at and this gem was all I needed for the night! Huge selection of classic games, and pinball! Had one of the best beers ever called Taco Ninja! Free play except pinball $50cent-$1.00, amazing!

This place is stellar! All the games are free, including skeeball and Mario Kart 64! (except pinball, which is only 50 cents) *most* games work and are in good condition~ good selection of drinks at fair prices. Staff is also friendly

No food is served, but the drinks and cocktails are pretty fun, and they have mocktails for under 21 and designated drivers! They have a whole wall of pinball tables, constantly rotating and they have a weekly pinball league you can join! The service people are really nice and even gave us a refund when the pinball got stuck in the machine.

I'm 26 from Peru. They didn't accept my Peruvian ID so they didn't let me order any drinks. It was my birthday too :/ . Idk, just seemed like they didn't care at all. Such a bum

So many vintage arcade games, all free to play (except for pinball machines, which I totally understand) as long as you are buying drinks. They don't serve food here outside of a vending machine, so keep that in mind.

Level One Bar Arcade is a fantastic spot for a fun time! The vibrant atmosphere, combined with an impressive selection of arcade games, creates an enjoyable experience. The friendly staff adds to the positive vibes, making it a great destination for gaming enthusiasts and those looking to unwind. Highly recommended!

Drinks and staff are always awesome, gathering for the second year and still just as great! #TormCon

I thought this was a great idea, and I'm sure it was amazing new, however most of the free machines were so wore out you couldn't play easily, some more maintenence required. The pinball machines take quarters from 25c and up and most of those were in working order. There's a change machine on site. The bartender was friendly and the drink prices a bit high, which I would be fine with if they maintained a bit better. Could use a good floor cleaning..??

Not a bad place to go after work for some casual fun. They've got plenty of classics and the skeeball is a nice touch, but it lacks the fun atmosphere of the other barcades in Columbus. 16-bit has much better cocktails and game selection.

This place is amazing! You play for free (except pinball and pac man) All you have to do is purchase a drink which is very amazing, then you get to play. So for 2 hours of playing we spent $30 in ??

Fun place for date night! We've been to 16-bit in Dublin area and even though that's bigger with more games and it's more modern in design, Level One is more our speed (socially awkward nerds ;-P). It's small but there are a ton of arcade games. Everything?s free as long as you buy a drink with the exception of pinball, 4 player Pac-Man, and skee ball. Old arcade style and n64 era games are just about the only types of games I excel at so it was fun to beat my husband at mortal combat, super smash brothers,

A fun arcade with almost every game imaginable. Some free. A full bar... stop in to see bartender Alex for a great conversation.

Totally fun place. Great drinks and atmosphere, loved all the throw back games. Only wish there was a little more music, or multiple genres of music. Overall absolutely reccomend and would love to go again. And the names of the drinks I absolutely loved! The games are free, except the pinball, which is super cool. Also GREAT variety of liquors!!!

Their website lied about having Frogger and a Rush pinball machine :( .. Other than that, cool vibe and most of the pinball machines are only 50 cents.

This place is outstanding if you want to take a trip down memory lane. A lot of the old school clasic games, good music and atmosphere. You play all games free as long as you buy a drink. I'll definitely will be going back.

We had my son's birthday party here. It was our first time visiting. We were not disappointed!

We had a family member?s birthday party here, and it was a great time! They offer packages based on the number of people attending, which include pizzas and cake being brought in from other locations since they don't make food there. The pizzas and cake they brought in for us were very good. The mixed drinks at this bar are all game-themed. I had the Princess Peach and the Frogger, and they were good. Staff are very friendly. Most of the games are free to play. Pinball machines and skeeball cost money, but

Wish I could give zero stars but I can't! Let me just start off with this was the worst place to go and definitely won't be back! Me and my boyfriend came here around 8:45pm on Tuesday night and played some games for a bit all the way up until 9pm without ordering anything, or even being bothered. Then my boyfriend goes up to order an alcoholic drink which he's above the legal drinking age so it's fine. When he came back he told me about his experience up at the bar with the rude bartender! He explained tha

This place is awesome. Kids are allowed in up until the evening and then it's adults only ;my 8 year old son and I spent the entire afternoon there. Free game play as long as buy a drink (even non alcoholic!) And they allow you to bring in your own food to eat- (we Door Dashed some Buffalo Wild Wings

Unfortunately this is my least favorite barcade. Compared to the locations near campus it's far less busy (not necessarily a bad thing) and they do strange delayed timing to the charges to your card if you don't pay in cash, which I guess is a minor inconvenience. The games are cool, although pinball all costs actual money rather than just being free like the regular coin op machines. The staff who was there when I came were not very friendly, and seemed pretty "bothered" to wait on me, and would even carry

Level One? Nah, this is some final boss energy. You got a great vibe, killer staff and fantastic selection of games. The drink varieties are on point and the quality of the cabinets is top notch. Not gonna lie, it is a date night staple and a place I value over the competition. The staff really curates a welcoming vibe and the overall energy just really gets me amped. Go now. Do it. Why are you reading this when you could be playing Joust?

Great pinball selection! Most are only $.50 per play which is rare these days.

Pretty cool place to throw retro arcade games party for teens.

Amazing beer selection from the local area, knowledgeable bar tenders, great games, and even kid friendly before dark.

Fun alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink menu, I love meeting up with friends or family here. Most video games are free (just get a drink!), a few video games and all of the pinball games require quarters, but they have a change machine inside. My favorite by far is the old school pinball machine. Just an awesome place altogether!

Owner was so nice and easy to talk to made this memorable and the best trip in years would give 10 of if I could

It's an arcade with a bar. Crawling with kids on a Saturday night. Used to be fun when it was adults only but is definitely not that now

Great place to have a few drinks and play some retro video games.

old school video games and beer, does it get any better than that! I love this place!!

I went back, and that was the last time. I'm a pinball lover, and my two favorite ones, jaws took my money, and gave me no game? So, I played my other favorite godzilla and put in two dollars fir three games. Well, it was in really bad shape, main plafield broken, so I lost another two bucks on it. Nor even worth playing when it's not in working order.

No food (but it still made me rate). We like the feeling of this better than the bigger corporate ones. Lots of old school games. It is kid free after 7 but they are flexible depending on how busy it is. We didn't know that but they were very kind about it. So fun!

A fun place with nice pinball and arcade games, some pretty nostalgic ones too. The bartender was great, explained everything to us as new comers and made us feel really comfortable. They had themed cocktails that were delicious, we stopped in for the last hour of happy hour. We didn't participate but we watched some people play the trivia night that was being hosted and it was very fun to watch, the energy in the place was great. It was a wonderful place for a date.

Upon my arrival at the bar, I noticed that the bartender appeared to be in a bad mood and did not provide us with any menus. As a result, I had to guess at a drink, which unfortunately turned out to be quite unpleasant. When my partner tried to order a different drink, the tap machine was out, so she ended up ordering the same drink as me and also found it to be unsatisfactory. When she brought this to the bartender's attention, he seemed to imply that it was our fault for ordering the drink, which I found

Had a fun time playing old video games. I realized how bad I am at pinball lol

Level one although being a good arcade to go to, isn't the best. They say that you buy a drink and you can play the arcade games, but some games cost money and the drinks aren't free refills. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, but I would recommend going to 16 bit instead of level one because 16 bit has free refills, a better atmosphere, more arcade games, and they're all free with the drink purchase.

this place is awesome! the crowd is cool, the bartenders are nice, and the drinks are refreshing! sadly they got rid of my favorite, q-bert but there's plenty of fun free games to play and ones that are 25? a person.

This place is awful. The bartenders are rude and ignore you. I was here on 1/5 for about an hour and was spoken to once. I was sitting at the end of the bar and the bartender could clearly see I was done with my drink didn't say a word. Tried to get their attention and ignored me. Another gentleman came in and the bartender was rude to him and asked him to move seats. He was very arrogant the entire time. The place was not busy at all, so I figured service would quicker. It smells here and the staff sucks.

Always a great experience coming here. Staff is nice, drinks are a great price and the free arcade games are great! 50 cents to a dollar for pinball? Can't beat that! Great selection of food and they'll let you bring it inside. Please be kind to them. They're doing their best during these weird times. Be respectful and humanistic. I'd recommend stopping in on Thursday for jackbox night!

We love going. They have a great variety of games and of course I love ski ball. Drinks are made decent and have a good draft selection. They don't serve food but allow you to bring in your wows and there are 3 great places to eat within 50 ft.

Lots of pinball machines and good brew

Food is not available to order but you can bring in your own food.

Went here for my wife?s bday on the 31st and had a great time! Drinks are good (expensive, but where are they not) and games are fun. A great place for arcade nostalgia. But the bartender was rude and seemed irritated that we were there interrupting his conversation w another customer. That was my only issue. We weren't disruptive or disrespectful in the least, just wanted to order our drinks, no dumb questions or requests, nothing. I get that people are annoying in general, but he was clearly in some type

This is one of my favorite places to go with friends or family; i come here fairly often! Theres lots of fun arcade games ranging from beat-em-ups and shooters to racing and platformers, and even some n64 games as well! The alcohol selection is awesome too, i got my first ever drink here tonight, gold apple hard cider, and it was delicious! (which is awesome news bc before that i never had a drink i personally liked, guess fruit drinks are the way to go!) They also have non alcoholic stuff too if youre more

This place is really cool. Drinks are reasonable prices and you can bring your own food. Only 2 games were down for service and all the rest were working great. The arcade games were free when I was there. Pinball games were great. Also had N64 and super Nintendo on big screens for free.

?That place was awesome? - wife; the come in and play/some free some tokens are perfection. The cabinets are well loved but also well taken care of. Most appear original parts without upgrades. Pinball machines are new and vintage. Skiball right side sticks sometimes but with two of players you can get your ball back easy enough. Wish we had one of these closer. Staff was personable and fun. Drinks were tasty and well made.

First time here for a company party. The bar was understaffed for the volume of people which they knew ahead when the party was booked (no shade to the bartender who was doing his best, but most of their feature drinks are kinda complicated). Disappointed that most of the arcade games are paid additional, which is different than other barcades where your overpriced drinks cover the play.

This place is great. I mainly come here for the pinball and it does not disappoint. They have 15-20 machines. They have a few new modern Sterns a good amount of classics from the 90s and a few from the 80s. A solid mix of games. The video games here are all in great shape. They have most of the classics but a good amount of eclectic titles too. Service has always been top notch, even when they are crowded. No food but they have a vending machine with snacks and a lots of other options nearby.

After going to a pinball arcade in Cleveland we came here bc one of my kids just freaking loves pinball. Shame on me for not checking the website in advance because you have to pay for each pinball game here, so I felt like we spent a small fortune for two adults and two children to play skee-ball and pinball for around an hour, with two beers and two sodas. I can't comment on food (do they even have any?) or service, as I didn't order at the bar, my husband did. The disappointment in this is mostly my faul

Good games, and a decent crowd. The people were polite and friendly for the most part. There were a couple snide yuppies and hipsters, but more friendly nerds and families. Drinks are a bit expensive to cover the games. Not a bad value or experience.

Been going here with dad for a couple of years when I come to visit, but I just turned 21 so I could finally get the bar experience. The drinks are SO good (I had the Frogger and it was amazing), and Chris working the bar was so incredibly nice and made my first bar experience a fun one. I look forward to next time!

I love this place. I've been going to Level One since they opened about 5 years ago. I have never had a bad experience there. Aside from all the fun arcade and pinball games, it's really the people that make this place great! Starting with the staff. Simply put, they are amazing! Kim, DJ, Brittany, Alex, Brian, Dez... these have become some of my favorite people. I've also come to know a lot of the regulars there mostly due to playing in the pinball league. Amazing people that I now consider some of my best

This place is awesome! Tons of free games with the purchase of a drink. Pinball is 50 cents a game and they have a great variety. Pinball leagues and a fantastic happy hour. Plenty of parking. They dont serve food bit you are more than welcome to order pizza or bring food with you. Definitely a bar to check out.

This is a fun place to just go, hang out, and play some classic arcade games. Take some friends or perhaps a date and enjoy yourselves. The bar is family friendly on Fri and Sat from Noon to 6.. However, the rest of the time it's 21 and over. The arcade games are free to play but please help to support this awesome establishment by grabbing a drink at the bar (they have non-alcoholic beverages as well as alcohol). ?? The pinball games are not free but still 100% worth a visit. I do have one caveat.. their

Open M-Th Tom to 12am, Friday 4pm to 2:30pm, Sat. 12pm to 2:30am. Kids day Sunday 12pm to 12am. Buy a drink and play video games from childhood! So much fun!

Went during the "kids time" with daughter and wife. Great deal for playing some vintage arcade games. Pinball costs $0.50 but all other arcade games only require drink purchase (yes, they have non-alcoholic drinks for kids). Arcades seem to be maintained well, didn't find too many with any major issues. Wife's only complaint is lack of food. Would be top-notch if they served food as well as drinks. :D Had fun, would go back again!

Great place to relax and enjoy a stress-free time. All ages and no drama. They have pinball and 80s arcade games. The games are free play, and the pinball is always in excellent working condition. We just love the bartender, DJ, although they are all great. Theres also lots of hotels in walking distance, and the neighborhood is safe, so it is really a great weekend away. Just do it!

Fun atmosphere, quick service, great selection of free games! Donkey Kong, Simpsons, etc. It is all here!

Nice classic arcade- 30 or so classic arcade games in good shape- Usually only one or 2 out of service at a time. All video games are free. About 15 or so Pinball machines that cost 50 cents. No hassles about drink minimums or anything like that. Good beer selection, kids welcome earlier in the day. My kids (11 and 13) enjoy it.

Buy a drink (with or without alcohol) and play classic video games. It's all good. Drink prices are reasonable, most games are free (pinball and skeeball the notable exceptions). Some of the consoles are showing their age, but that's understandable. Check ahead of time for under-21 lhours.

I've been here twice. Once at night and once during the weekend day. Kids are welcome from 12-6pm. The staff is so kind and helpful. All of the arcade games are free! Ski ball is .25 and pinball is .50 a game. The drinks are excellent! Did I mention the staff is sweet...??

Cool place if you like to drink and play arcade games. Compared to other bars like this level one has very few people which means you get your money's worth of the games without having to wait all night. Staff were nice and respectful. Drink selections was quite larger and diverse. Over all when I get the feeling I want to play games and drink I would rather go to level one than any other place in town.

Far and away one of the most chill, fun places in the Columbus area. The drinks are always delicious and the bartenders have, to the person, been friendly and inviting. It's also got the best pinball scene I've seen in the area. They've got cool extras as well, like streaming on Twitch and hosting others on their big TVs. Definitely a must-visit if you're into classic arcade cabinets, pinball, etc.

I've never been to an Arcade Bar before. This one seemed convenient because it's right next to the movie theater. The bar was okay, the service was slow even though we were one of the few people there but the selection of drinks was good! The pricing is okay, a little on the expensive side but not outrageous. The games were the best part! Each game costs 25 cents for hours of play.

Very Cool atmosphere, most games are free. Skee ball is 25 cents, pinball games range from 25 cents to $1 depending on the game, the Stranger Things game I played was $1 given its popularity. If you like Pins Mechanical or 16 Bit, it's a comparable bar except that Level One has a better, more down-to-earth vibe and more chill crowd.

Very friendly staff and an awesome selection of standing arcade games! All you've got to d I is buy a drink and games are free all night! Exceptions are pinball, which take quarters and they have a last-man-standing pinball league on Monday that pulls in over 50 competitors every week! I highly recommend this bar

Nice spot! Small tap list but there were some good selections. Most every game is free to play. The pinballs ya have to pay for but I'm ok with that. It's hard to find pinball machines nowadays. All the free games were all in good working order which is rare. But all played well. We had a blast!

Terrific new retro bar. Great selection of beer on tap, plenty of staff to take care of everyone without a wait, and all the classic video games and pinball games from the 70's and 80's. Perfect for date night, happy hour or meeting up with friends. A few big screen TV's so you won't miss any big games either. Very cool!

My recent visit since covid was great. The system of knowing what tables are clean or dirty make it easy for customers. They enforce the mandates, as they should. Their new Rick and Morty pinball machine was a blast. As well as a few other recently added machines. Drinks are still top notch and staff is great. The place always felt clean but now it's feels super clean. This continues to be my go-to arcade bar.

Dezmond is the man! Shout out to my boy! If you want good service he's here!

We recently found Level One after a friend was talking about it. The drinks are good and a fair price. Lots of retro games to play. In my opinion, not little kid friendly. There's only high top tables, and the arcade games are too tall for littles. If you're looking to hang out with a couple of arcade game loving friends, this is right up your alley.

Level 1 is my favorite place in Columbus. The people are amazing and the bartenders are even better! I highly recommend Wednesdays at 7pm for Belles & Chimes womens pinball league- it's a great group of all skill levels that always welcome newcomers. There is also a separate trivia event starting at 7 - but you can participate in both!

Fun games and drinks for a fun night out. Staff was nice and I will be coming back here for sure! Great value for your money and fun drink options with a casual environment. Highly recommended. Only downside is I tried to get their specialty drink + cup but they were out :( I'll try to snag one next time!

The perfect nerd-vana. Drinks and arcade galore! The staff is awesome! The drinks are plentiful, the atmosphere is absolutely perfect. My favorite place to go when I hit Ohio.

Great atmosphere and fantastic bartenders. There's an amazing beer selection and mixed drink menu to cater to every taste. The arcade games are free and the pinball is extremely reasonable. It's genuinely one of my favorite bars because it's busy without it being ridiculously overwrought with customers.

I took my son to a birthday party here. Nice bar. Clean and very nostalgic of the arcades I went to when I was younger.

Actually fantastic! Most cabinets and tables are in great shape, and the drinks are decently priced. Wish there was a pay by the hour option but had fun dumping $20 of quarters into a Bally's Adam's Family machine.

I love this old school arcade. Great collection of games from my youth. The location is not great. I hope they are able to find the right audience. It feels like they'd do better in a neighborhood with sidewalks and other small shops to walk to. Currently 21+. But next week they'll be changing their hours and become all ages from 11am to 6pm. Hopefully this will help them find the right clientele. When I was in, the bar space was dominated by a handful of loud, jingoistic, self-entitled white guys.

I've been to Level One several times, and it's been a great experience each time. You only need to pay for your drinks and for the pinball machines too; all of the arcade games are free. They also usually have a Nintendo 64 hooked up to a projector at the front of the place, so there's a lot to do for usually a pretty cheap price. If you like arcade games, pinball, and/or drinking, then I recommend checking it out it sometime!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
