Always a great time at Level 256! We go for the pins, but they offer so much more. We don't make it out often but when we do, there is always something new to play. $10/free play. They always have a pretty amazing draft list and I even tried a pre-mixed Old Fashioned that was (to my surprise) pretty good! Luke was super friendly and helpful. This place was fun and tickled my brains nostalgia center, playing Pac Man and Qbert. Their pinball machines are all Stern, with a good variety of different pinball experiences like Foo Fighters, the Shadow, Simpsons, Batman (70s TV) and many more. Horrible experience with the people working here. The lady at the door was beyond rude, which seems to be an often occurrence. The responses to these reviews were quite reassuring as everyone else also seems to think the staff and owner are beyond rude too, which they prove with their answers to these reviews. This place is awesome. The pinball machines all work well. Most of the arcade games work well. There was one I played where the joystick didn't work as good as it should have. My son got to Minecraft which kept him busy for a while. Neat place!

Had a blast! Great selection of pinball machines, arcade cabinets. They even had ALL the consoles with a great selection of games to choose from. There's a QR code to scan that will break down the game selection by consoles so you don't have to stand there and comb through all the games yourself. Go check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Such an awesome spot, they have just about every game console and game imaginable. Not only are their games incredible, they also give awesome opportunities to win game consoles. I was able to win a PS5 from their claw machine and there's a new Nintendo switch still in their somewhere waiting to be won. Their staff are always kind and attentive. Bowman is the man! Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon with my 14 year old and we both had a blast! The staff were super friendly and easy going. They had a great selection of pinball, arcade stand ups, and consoles! We played for about 2 hours before being reminded that it was 7pm and we had to head out. At 7pm it's 21 and over. I really enjoyed the pinball selection and would love to see some rotating and featured games. We will definitely be back! Have been here several times and always have a good time. They have all of the games and consoles from your childhood. The staff is always really friendly and they have a good selection of beer. Only thing is the space is a little cramped and the set up for playing the old consoles isn't ideal. Will definitely continue visiting. Great spot!

Owned by a husband and wife. $7 charge at the door, all you can play. Great selection of local beers on tap, but the hidden gem of this place, is the "regular beer" selection. They have a good selection of "Americana Beers" to try, while you're there. They have a row of great pinball machines, some classic arcade games, Big Buck Hunter, and House of The Dead. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting.

My favorite stop of our group trip to asheville. $7 for unlimited game playing and you can leave and come back later! To use the consoles you must have a bar tab open but it's not a problem because they have a great selection of craft beer and ciders. Great selection of pinball machines which are generally in working order. This is going to be the best place in town if you are looking for the most recently produced machines. You can also play on consoles. If I had a wish here, it would be that there were more options to eat.

This is by far the best small, in town, chill vibe arcade I've ever gone to. It's very welcoming, great games, nice drink selection, incredible staff, CLEAN and conscientious, not pretentious and very well done. It's friendly to all and truly has something for everyone! Rudest staff ever. Also would like to mention I was attending a show at the rabbit rabbit and am under the age of 21. Was waiting in line when I had to use the restroom. The guy continued to try to tell me I had to pay for 2 wristbands when it was just me who had to use the restroom and told my girlfriend to wait on the street.

While visiting in Asheville we checked this place out and loved it ! My husband is a big IPA fan and he and my son both love vintage gaming. Win win! I even played pinball! We loved it so much we went back the next night!

Level 256 and the wonderful people that run it are nothing short of amazing. They opened their doors to us after hours and hosted such a wonderful after wedding party. This place is so cool! Awesome arcades that I haven't seen in decades - love the Indiana Jones and the Street Fighter 2!! They're also doing a good job during COVID: limiting capacity, adult-only after 7pm, temp check and masks inside unless you're drinking. Beers are incredible - great draft and can selection from all over. Check Untappd! Will definitely come back when I'm back in town.

Really fun place and friendly staff. Just a note that a couple of the newer pins tilted *themselves* during multiball. No shaking on my part, just the pop bumper action and whatnot was enough to set it off....so the sensitivity could be dialed down. I think they were Batman and Cactus Canyon.

They have consoles loaded with games and a bunch of retro arcade games that will bring back some childhood memories. Great free play arcade. A solid selection of arcade cabinets will keep you busy (the NEO GEO multi cabinet could keep you entertained for days alone). Machines are well maintained and clean. They have an assortment of modern and classic consoles. I didn't try any of the classic consoles, so I'm unsure if they are directly connected to the displays or if there is any upscaling of the analog signals. A lot more chill than the Retrocade, which feels more like a bar after 9PM than an arcade.

The woman that was at the door was rude when we walked up to try to come and play our group was about 7 of us we had our 9 month old and 8 year old on a Sunday around 4:30 and she basically blocked the door and didn't even ask how we were or anything and look at the stroller and my daughter that was really excited and told us no strollers and said that our 8 year old will only have a hour to play if we decided to come in. Not a family friendly at arcade at all!
