Customer Reviews

Our family loves going to Leisure Lanes. They are always friendly and they have fast service. The kids love to play the arcade games, bowling, and attending birthday parties there. They have great food and drink options too!

Very good food. Place is kept clean and tidy. Prices are amazing and cheap! We aren't good bowlers but had so much fun and will be back!

3-13-2025 rude cook worst experience ever. Tried to tell us when to order and how much to tip them. With horrible service and I picked up my own baskets and picked up empty bottles and he didn't even let us bowl, he tried to tell us we should have asked for bowling alley first then order food. If you would have told us that we made a whole reservation. If you don't like your job just say that shouldn't take out an costumers. I won't be back I can take my money else where?? very rude to woman and men.

Food is bad, place is dirty, service is RUDE This was a really unfortunate experience. It was my children's first ever bowling experience. They loved bowling and wanted to continue bowling. The food was dry and not good but we didn't let that ruin our experience. It wasn't until the end, when a very rude gentleman behind the counter harassed me for not tipping him, when I had never seen him before! I didn't realize tipping has become mandatory where I deserve to be harassed over a few complimentary dollars

Very attentive staff - We did a birthday party for our child at Leisure Lanes. The staff was so kind and helpful. Each detail is was exactly on time and as described. Bowling screens were all new touch screens so the kids could easily set themselves up. The facility was clean and well kept.

Price is amazing! Food is great!! Employees are extremely nice!a few times there is lane issues but they fix the problem right away. We never seem to make it to live music night correctly but they have really great bands and the atmosphere is great.

Great place very good pizza and food, Now if they would only kick out that old woman that comes in there and changes seats every 2 minutes and that guy that sits in the corner with a big bear tone nasty deep voice it'll be a perfect place LOL

My daughters and I hosted a wedding shower for my youngest daughter at this location. They wanted a fun place to chill and where the wedding party could get to know one another before the wedding . We bowled, had pizza and salad and laughed and got great pictures for years of memories! Gail and the whole staff were extremely friendly and were there to help with whatever we needed. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a fun and stress-free event!

Excellent excellent food and atmosphere. Very professional owner

Best bowling alley I've ever been to, highly recommend this place!

I can only speak to my slow weeknight experience having a burger at the bar. The atmosphere was just as it should be .. a local, nay, a community gathering point with dark wood, bright lanes, rockin' music (not too loud) and a friendly face behind the bar. My Cowboy Burger was good (contest entry burger). Good beef with pepperjack cheese (choice), bacon, bbq sauce, onion rings and lettuce. The patty itself help elevate pretty standard fare. Nothing farm-to-table here, but, it is money well spent! Really e

Went on a Saturday night, the young guy checking us in seemed as though we were bothering him by being there. Lanes seemed really wet for a house shot but we had a good time and that's what we came for.

UPDATE: Well I'm impressed the owner replied to my review. That proves to me they are trying to be modern and proactive. And they care about their reputation. I stand corrected and of course you must have done improvements to your bowling alley over the years. It really isn't as bad as I first said and is a typical bowling alley and bar. I gave you one more star and yes we may just go back one day if there is a band playing there we want to see. However I am going to leave part of my original review because

It's a bowling alley. Reasonably clean, guy behind the counter was quite polite and brought our drinks to our lane. Prices were very reasonable. They have a nice menu- burgers, nachos, nice dog selection. We were after a nicer dinner that day so headed into town. Would definitely revisit if in the area.

We got waited on by a lady named Grace. She did not have a good attitude and she was very rude. She seemed as if she didn't want to wait on my family and I, and she was rude to my grandpa. My grandpa is getting older, and it takes him a little longer to order things. When she was confused, she shook her head and rolled her eyes. If you're going to work in the customer service field, then you should have a better attitude. She hardly spoke to us while waiting on us, just when we were ordering our food and dr

Great lanes, very clean, and up to date. The guy checking us in was a little grumpy but other than that, it was a really great experience.

Everything was great fun for our kids ages 5-16! One lane had your serious bowlers and the next had us schmoes. It's a place for everyone to go and have fun. Very budget friendly. Huge shout out for saving this mom over holiday break!

Technically I visited the bar, not the Alley. The bar serves up excellent grilled burgers. I had the 298 with fries and the flavor was darn good. This is not my first stop here and I will be coming back.

Came in town for a Tavern League Meeting and stopped in to the bowling alley every night while in town and met the most fabulous bartender. So personal and friendly. Charlene was her name and Made us feel at home!!! Thank you Charlene, look forward to seeing you again in the near future! Great chatting with you!!!

Great place to dance. The food is great. You always see people you have not seen in a long time. Lots of room for large crowds. They have a good selection of juice. Beer wine and other libations. The Jimmies are great. All kinds of music all summer long. Cone have fun! Lots of parking.

Got the burger basket and one bite of the burger... And it was a big nope. Freezer burger that tasted like mush with no flavor at all. Definitely get something else. I'd try again, but not the burgers.

Food was great, service was awesome. Prices can't be beat. If ever back in town will definitely have it again. Recommend the pulled pork and Philly steak sandwiches.

They have good food here. I called in my order, and it was ready in a reasonable amount of time. I am somewhat handicapped and they brought my order out to my vehicle.

I was not expecting much with food here and I was very pleasantly surprised! I love their clam strips and French dip. Today I had their Philly Cheesesteak and it was delicious. Excellent service too. Highly recommend!

Great place for all ages! Very clean and fun environment. They have it all. You can either enjoy their closed off bar and its amenities or their bowling alley! Their amazing and drinks can be enjoyed on either side.

Best burgers arounnd,ya really, curds, dogs good as well

Great burgers ar lunch. Easily took care of our crew of 6. Friendly atmosphere and a great menu. Loaded tatter tots were awesome

Realy good food weak drinks, sugest drinkig beer, yet prices are definitely fair so no real complaints.

Very nice local bowling alley in small town America with great food and nice atmosphere. Owners are very hands on and involved in the business. They are very family/customer orientated and will go out of their way to make sure you have a positive visit.

Clean and super nice!! Great service, too. Our family had a blast during open bowling and it was for way less than expected for a big family!! Totally worth it!!

Good vibes, great food and plenty of beer choices. You're treated like family from the get go. Midwest charm mixed with a friendly hometown feel. You're only a stranger until you say hi. Best chillax hang spot in Monroe!

So far visiting my family twice while on vaca in the last 3 yrs in WI from CT...The people at Leisure Lanes especially Dan have been very kind generous and caring...each time we've went there on a Saturday afternoon we bring a large group..Dan is generous in giving us discounts on pricing... especially the last time we were there in 10/21 my great niece had spilled ice cream all over her shirt so my wife was going to purchase a shirt for her from the leisure lanes and they refused to let my wife buy the shi

Surprisingly good pizza and a fun atmosphere. Came here for a family birthday celebration and was pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed ourselves. The lane monitors have little animations they play after each bowl with a selfie of the bowler. I'd never seen that before and some of them were actually pretty funny. We're already discussing whether all our family birthdays should be hosted at Leisure Lanes!

Took 2 of my 3 kids for there first time here. It is an amazing place same crew since I was in my teens for the most part. They have a bar, pool tables, darts, lounge area, lounge outdoors for smokers also very nicely separated aside from bowling witch is really nicely separated from the kids. They also have arcade machines and a back lounge area for children. Everything is very up to date technically, sometimes it's a scare with all the options but they make it very easy to get. Service has always been ama

I was our of town and went the back roads to Monroe ti get to Leisure lanes and couldn't remember a couple of the back roads that my son took me on. So good thing for Google maps. They made it easier to get to the hwy and to my destination to watch my mom and the ladies bowl. ????

I took my grandkids bowling and they loved it. The man who waited on us was very helpful and patient. Brought us the light weight balls, typed in our names and brought the rack for the 4 year old to push the ball so it would roll down the lane. I will definitely return with my other set of grandkids.

Gayle and stan are the bees knees. Their service and all around energy is amazing. Although, I had my kids golden birthday there and I won't ever do that again. I had to ask for things that I should have received. Among numerous other things.

1st time to eat there. Friendly & helpful staff, good menu, good food, good service & good prices ???? 2 thumbs up?? I was very satisfied.

What a fun night! Was in town for brewery tour and heard there was a band playing. Sat with some really friendly people and made new friends. Nice staff and comfortable atmosphere

A decent local bowling alley. I don't bowl very often, but it serves it's purpose when I do. They do have some great bar\bowling alley food including great burgers. The beer selection is decent and there are specialty nights such as karaoke. It's not somewhere I frequent and it could use a bit of updating, but it's not run down.

I bowl there weekly Dan is a awesome guy keeps nice care of the lanes and areas

Best burgers. Clean establishment, friendly service. A lot of fun bowling, playing pool or listening to good live music. Fun for the whole family! Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Okay for bowling. Will not eat there, as the guy who runs the grill is very unsanitary - I've seen him pick his nose or wipe his mouth with his hand then touch customer's burger buns. Never wears gloves or washes his hands. It is health department fail type behavior.

Absolutely AMAZING food. I haven't bowled there in forever, but the renovations are AWESOME!!!

Great place! They have the silliest thing where you take your picture smiling, sad and angry. They use it in animations depending on how your bowling. One of them is sumo wrestlers fighting. You'll have to see for yourself. Even if you don't like bowling, this will still be fun. I'll be back with my family.

Great bowling alley in Monroe. Fun place for league bowling, kids parties and to watch sports! I also appreciate the option of getting a bean burger from the grill Thanks Dan and Dee!

They took good care of us for our Christmas party

The lanes are good and the staff is friendly. Expect super rude townie fossils to try and ruin you experience. My coworker was elbowed by some old crone who thinks she owns the place.

It's a great place to gather with family and friends! And the owners an staff are awesome. The remodel looks great ??

Good food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Bartenders remember you by name and drink preference. Great place to stop by!

There's nothing more relaxing than an afternoon game of bowling, and now there is Axe throwing! Love the food! Love the staff!

Bowled there today for the first time since they have redone the bowling area..very nice and I like you don't have to step up to bowl..Super job!!

Great mixed age bowling alley/bar live music venue. Had the Jimmy's this weekend. Blues rock and swing group out of Madison, WI, doing regional gigs.AWESOME!! Looking forward to seeing them at Cheese Days 2020 in Monroe, WI, for 3rd weekend in Sep. 18th thru 20th. Usually classic rock covers or pop covers for bands. Very much enjoyed myself here for the night.

We love the food and love the owners. We bowl there on Sunday's after church. Best place to go. My kids love it!

Great grilled burgers, live music with room to dance and large seating area also

I had a fabulous evening here. Pizza was delicious. Drinks were strong. Live music.

Great food, service and people. Definitely worth a stop. Might as well bowl while your here

Had a great time. Good food and beer. Very reasonably pr.

I loved it, it was so much fun, and I got to spend time with my cousins, and the games are actually extremely cheap I played 2 games with 6 people and only paid $20

Great place for a bowling getaway. I only come here a couple times every couple of months but it's always a great experience. Although it all depends on the company you have.

Very nice place I've been going there for about 25 years owner is very nice person people are friendly good atmosphere

Can't believe that it's only 5 dollars for two hours on Wednesday. My husband and I enjoyed it a lot. It makes a perfect date night!

Fun place to bowl. Food is over priced. No free refills on fountain soda. Pizza was good.

Great place to meet after work for some cocktails. Very friendly bartenders. GREAT FOOD!!

Bartenders were great, but those burgers?! Get The 4 with all four cheeses and bacon!! Worth it!!

Very friendly place, also cant forget the delicious food they serve!! Waffle fries by far are my favorite lol

awesome service even for the birthday party we had

Great place to get something to eat and to bowl many play some arcade games if you really want to Good place to bring young children

Good bowling alley, and a nice bar area. The pizza was surprisingly good. Overall, a good place to go and hang out.

Where to start they are very friendly and staff is knowledgeable and helpful we had little ones are welcome and that's something that I liked a lot they also go by hours which is very nice

Had a first date there. So good place for that. Most of the staff was friendly.

Excellant place to bowl. they have good food too. the staff is great.

Two nights ago, I came to your bowling alley with grandchildren and my husband, although it should not matter, they are white. I went ahead of them and I asked if they had lanes open and the person at the desk said no. When my husband came with the children the person said I told him "they tell me there is not lanes open" -"we can put you on the waitlist'' you are the number 1 in the list I don't have anyone waiting"-the clerk told my husband, my husband agreed and went with the children to choose a bowling

Chill place great bartenders and wait staff and a nice bar area. Lanes are pretty consistent in my opinion but I'm a lefty..

Great food great time! Took the grand kids and we all had fun!

This place has changed a lot since the 70's. But then it's still the same great place, especially if you go bowling.

It's a nice place to hang out with the kids or friends! Grab a bite to eat a few drinks, whatever.

Friendly atmosphere, good food with reasonable prices. Family friendly with bowling, specials, and more.

Love this place! Awesome Staff, Family Fun, Entertainment Destination, and the most awesome patrons!! Have Fun !!

used to be the place to go, but the last 6 months food over cooked and not acceptable. customers ignored cause they don't play bowling league

Prices are reasonable, employees are nice, and the area was neat and clean. Had a lot of fun!

Bowling is fun, and they participate in the Kids Bowl Free summer program. Last time I checked the bar was open 365.25 days per year.

Awesome atmosphere, great food! Updated bowling area!

The staff is great, food is pretty standard bowling alley food, bowling was a lot of fun.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
