However, several reviewers note issues like high prices, broken arcade machines, poor service, and outdated or dirty facilities. Customer Reviews

Let me start by saying I normally love this place. But today was awful. Please tell the new guy with glasses it is not cool to pack everyone in like sardines in 5 lanes when 3/4 of the lanes were EMPTY. Its a slow Sunday, stop trying to flex on your organization skills and focus on customer satisfaction.

The food is actually good, they have a really good selection of games. The building is very clean and the employees are nice and helpful. The lanes are nice and well maintained too.

Decided to go to Lanes and Trains to take advantage of the Sunday bowling- 2 hours for $50-this was a mistake and a complete waste of $$$. First off the lanes continuously malfunctioned. This was frustrating and caused us to lose valuable time as we only had 2 hours. The worst part was the food! It took nearly 40 minutes to receive and the place was empty. We spent $60 the first round on nachos and cheese sticks- The $17 combo appetizer came out with no toppings and a small cup of cheese and sour cream

The crew at LTA have been so super nice. LTA has really put in a lot of work to make it a fun experience. And it's so clean. Went to the bowling alley at the mall and it was filthy and sticky everywhere and the staff was rude. LTA is so much nicer in every way.

LTA is awesome! Employees are very nice and helpful and do a great job of providing excellent customer service. They have great deals, particularly for college students. Best bowling in Murfreesboro!

This center is the best! We have been here a few times in the past few days and each time has been great! The front desk staff is very helpful. They were true to their hours and never tried to push us out early, even though after league play one night we were the only ones there. The prices are decent. Lanes are clean and well maintained. Food was good and priced fairly. They do have a nice arcade as well. If you are a more technical bowler looking to understand and improve your game, they offer SPECTO at t

We bowl state tournaments here and it has really went downhill since they started doing state here. The machines are starting to break down more often and the bars and meal service areas have shrunken. Way too many birthday parties and children's events here when the tournaments are going.

Poorly staffed. Food center wasn't open and lines were absolutely ridiculous to get through. Went for a birthday party. Overall it's a great place and tons if arcade games and good lanes.

Pretty fun place with lots of options for family fun. We chose bowling and everything went great. No breakdowns and lanes were clean. Certainly worth visiting.

We rented the VIP lane for 2 hours. Lower your expectations on VIP... the couches are duct taped and the floors are sticky. The bowl return broke down several times. They did extend our time to be able to finish. So don't come with expectations other than drinking and goofing around.

Came in with the family for the Sunday special which they clearly advertised that it includes 4 $5 cards. When deciding the best value (among all the other bowling places in the area) as we are mindful of spending on nonessential we decided this would be the best place. After I paid they gave me a $10 card. I explained that they advertised a total of $20 worth on cards and it stated so on their own website. They would not honor it and basically ignored me. The woman I tried to speak to was a blond headed wo

1st. I didn't get her name but she is the only reason 3 stars if not would have been 1 star. 2. Feces on the floor in restroom (womans) yes for real. 3. Staff could not work the bumper (a dude ) so the "young lady up front had to stop what she was doing to get it done. Killed 5 minutes of our boong time with no make up time given. Seems like only a few minutes but with the cost of 7 bowling every minute counts. IJS?????

$5.00 for a drink!! My husband's the one that ordered them because had I known we were paying $30 for six drinks I would have NEVER purchased!!!!!!!! The drinks cost more than our BOWLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They claim they have a full bar. They lied, three types of crown ,Tito's,jack Daniels and two others is not A full bar. We paid way to much for a drink and it wasn't even what we wanted. we had to go to the front desk to order a drink. They don't have a bartender or a waitress. Meanwhile one of the employees was having fun playing with his remote control car even when we asked him for help. Avoid this place

Absolutely enjoyed having my daughter's 9th birthday party here! I really felt like i got my moneys worth and everybody enjoyed it! We did the 10 pin bowling package which includes bowling, bumper cars, $5 game cards, pizza and drinks, party favors, and a bowling pin that everybody got to sign. We will definitely be having her birthday party here again next year!

Recently had my daughter?s birthday party here and it was everything we hoped for., Our host Lee Lee (Kinsley) was so helpful from the beginning. We were told the itinerary before the party and everything went smooth. The party rooms are a good size also, so plenty of room to accommodate everyone. I highly recommend Lanes Trains and Automobiles for your next event! You can't beat the glow bowl and the laser tag is top notch!!!

Here for the Tennessee State Tournament Everyone was friendly ??

My family drove 45 minutes to attend this facility because we were anticipating fun games and bowling but we were sadly disappointed. When we got there, the parking lot was very dark with only 1 street light. 90% of the games were out of service and the other 10% didn't work properly or took our credits. The bowling balls felt very greasy and were very hard to grasp. Most of the staff members were polite except for the one who seemed to be the manager, he was very short with us when responding to our compla

We really enjoyed the $10 per person deal, making it a great family night out with the kids! It could have been better with a game card included in the package. Thanks LTA for making the Boro a fun place!

Even after the "remodel," it's just still a really old, run-down building... the smell was so awful that we turned around and left immediately. I love supporting local businesses, but this need a complete overhaul if they want to stay in business and keep up with the competition.

It used to be a cheap place to bowl and drink but prices have increased and there's no prices even posted for bowling, cost us $179 for 3 bowlers some drinks, pretzels, and cheese fries, cool to see Mookie Betts take over but all it did was raise prices

We had a great time bowling during spring break. We got there right as they opened!

If your looking to have fun here's a good place to go bowling the lanes are oily so becarful the new food menu good if your not looking for a healthy alternative so if you'd on a diet not good place to eat

very poor service and lanes don't even work. spent 30 mins of my 2 hour bowl with a blacked out lane and no one fixing it. sad to see

The best, least crowded spot to go for bowling. Friendly staff

Fun place. They have bowling, bumper cars and laser tag. They also have a bar. Great fun.

Nice for it being relatively close to me and the facility is rather big. The lanes seem pretty good. Overall the place feels dated and the carpets are rather dirty. Service is subpar. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. But hit a pot hole leaving in the parking lot and decided to round down. They seem relatively ok, but not perfect, but still recommend. Be aware the arcade is a arcade card that is expensive to play games in my opinion and if your looking for arcade and fun I'd say maybe strike and spare would be

We had a blast today at LTA adults and kids had an amazing time it was totally worth the trip and they were very patient with my 4 yr old learning to play nerf war and bumper cars and even while picking her prizes we will definitely be coming back totally worth the 30 min drive for us plus they have an amazing summer bowling program for the kiddos !

We had a great experience with our daughter?s birthday party. Everything was clean, all the staff were helpful and courteous (and went the extra mile when we found ourselves there without some needed supplies!) and everyone had so much fun. It was awesome to be able to be in the VIP room for bowling and have some privacy with our party and everything. Communication with the Party Director was great, the whole process was stress-free and turned out wonderful. Definitely would 100% recommend LTA and we will b

I enjoyed my time there. The arcade was up to date with relatively new games that were interesting for kids and adults. The arcade is expensive but they all are. The bowling lanes were modern and appeared to be in good shape. I liked that there was an area with a bar and blacklight lanes. They also had two pool tables in that area. We went on a Sunday afternoon which was nice for us because there was plenty of room for us. Maybe it is busier on other days, but honestly fewer people there was better for us.

Fun. Great atmosphere. Something for all ages. Reasonable prices

It was great! With my fear for social distance, they accommodated us. We had a great time!

Overpriced bowling, came out to $41.68 for two people. Then when we tried to get a cup for some water, the one (very rude) worker stated he couldn't hand out cups just for water and we would have to buy it (for a soft drink price). Ridiculous, water fountains didn't work and we couldn't get some water after a couple games of bowling. 50% of the Arcades games were out of service. Pretty dead on a saturday night, can see this place going out of business soon.

Great Place for family fun! ???? Has a pretty good variety of arcade games, more than others I've been to around this area. I mean it's pretty cool; has pool tables, bowling, a bar, a restaurant, private seating areas, party rooms for even more privacy..... I recommend checking it out if you haven't yet.

I took my daughter here for her birthday with the company of my mother... She had a great time! Felt like we did a workout playing that Laser Tag lol.

Tried to call in a birthday party couldn't get to the party planner. I ended up getting the front desk asking to speak to the party planner cause l was thinking about having my child?s birthday party there. I asked her about the amenities & games. She said Laser tag is out. I said will it be fixed by the time l book a February party? She said No it's going to be months. Well can't help it you either the packages the party planner?s cell phone went dead call tomorrow. Then she said we will be under new ow

Nice bowling alley. Girl that took care of us at the counter was sweet and helpful! Glow bowling prices are decent, it wasn't too crowded, good music. The only complaint I have is the food prices are really high, and I have a big family. We will eat before we come next time, but will definitely be back!

I am having an awesome time. A must do for the entire family

Very large bowling alley, kind of in the middle of nowhere. Has a VIP section for parties or larger groups. BIG NEGATIVE - very expensive, and then half of their arcade machines were down. Their most fun looking ones at that, so outside of bowling, there wasn't really anything else to do.

We only spent time in the game room ,and bowling... we were disappointed that only 3 of the bumpercars were operational and there was an hour wait for them.... also the laser tag claimed to have over an hour wait but I don't recall seeing anyone coming in or out of it while there....

I'm not usually that person leaving reviews, but I'm doing this today not only because I promised them to do so, but it's because we were super satisfied with everything about my girl's birthday party l! The staff was super friendly, everything was on time, the room was amazing, cleaned and sanitized perfectly! kids had amazing three hours of fun! The pizza was delicious and everyone was happy and had a great time in there! Finally, I do recommend this place for families to have fun or having their kids' b

All games sucked 90% were broken . Didn't know until I got $40 on the cards, no refund .and service sucks. We didn't even bowl it was that bad. just left!

Good variety of games, laser tag and bowling.. Everything seemed to be in good shape except for a few games that were down. Lanes were in good shape. The place was entirely short staffed though. We hit the service button several times on our bowling lane and nobody ever came to help us. Food is perfectly priced for what it was.

We brought our family from out of town here to get out of the house and it offers a nice variety of something for everyone to do. We came on a Wednesday which I guess is bowling league day, we are not professional bowlers and the staff had to accommodate the leagues and because of this we were able to go to VIP and the manager allowed us to have the glow lights on during the day, which my kids LOVED! we enjoyed the arcade and laser tag and had some snacks as well. It was a value at $20/person for 3 hours. T

Came here for a bowling tournament for my 17 year old and I was pretty impressed with the place. And my 4 year old loved the game room lol.

I recently went to bowl ! I had a great experience which was very well priced! The staff were very outgoing and nice. I definitely recommend and I will be back!

Not a higher end alley. Bathrooms were dilapidated and the staff was rude. Don't recommend but prices are cheap.

Nice family fun center with good food and fun for all

About a year or so ago I left a 5-star review for this place, but it has really gone downhill since. Their prices are so expensive for both food and bowling. They even charge you for a cup of water now! A cheeseburger and fries will probably run you $18 after tax. The weekly bowling prices continue to go up as well. It costs significantly more than strike and spare across town (which is where we go now, 1-2 times a week) Such a disappointment since this place was great not too long ago.

Cool atmosphere and games but honestly, way over priced for what it is. For bowling around the area it's the most expensive and there is no option to pay per game, only by the hour so you end up feeling rushed to get out. Both bowling alleys in Smyrna, and the one at the Old fort mall are MUCH less expensive and offer a far more pleasant experience. I can say their laser tag is awesome, but thats about the only reason I'd go back. Cost aside, their employees are friendly and extremely helpful and their

It was a great time for my family. We will make sure to use your place again for future family events

Had a great time. Awesome food and drinks. Service was great. Excellent customer service. My go to kinda place to bowl ??

Had a great time with the family. Got a great deal for an hour of bowling, pizza, drinks, shoes and a game card. The pizza was really good, better than most of the chain restaurants. Not nearly as crowded as the mall. Will definitely return!

We love this place!! Hands down the best friendliest staff and great prices for our two little boys. Elise was so nice, helpful and went above and beyond for us. Matt helped us as well and he was so friendly. We can't wait to go back. This is Murfreesboro's best bowling and arcade games. Their food was really good as well and great drink specials. We love their private VIP Cosmic bowling lanes. Thank you so much Elise and Lanes, Trains & Automobiles. Our favorite fun place!! :):)

Place was not very up kept. Very rude staff. Whenever the bowling balls would come back, they would be covered in a greasy like substance.

They did away with laser tag & bumper cars but the prices are still great & food is delicious! They had a league thing going on so they put us in the VIP room..can't beat $15 a person for unlimited bowling either, my girls got over 5000 tickets in the arcade & we all had a great time

The atmosphere was ok. The bowling area was clean and the staff was friendly. The arcade area wasn't anything to brag about, but there were a couple that were fun. The price for the arcade was a little high, but the game card was convenient. You put money on the card and as you play the digital tickets collect on there. Overall kids liked it, but wouldn't make a regular place to go.

Don't waste your money! Most arcade games are $2 or more. ($2.00 for a basic crane game!!) More games are ?out of service? than actually working. Bowling was an hour wait despite not being that busy. Alcohol drink was listed at $7 but two of them came out to more than $18. I have been several times and it just gets worse every time I go. This could be a cool spot but currently it's just a mess!

I remember when this place was so nice. With all the new bowling alleys close by and new arcade places coming to Murfreesboro. This place needs updating badly. Or they need to lower there prices to reflect being run down. This place is an embarrassment to our city. Lta was the go to spot now it's mainly looking like rot.

Nice and fun place to go to ?? Friendly staff, HOWEVER, my recent visit was less than stellar. Going to get a beer I had to wait for folks "underage kids" that were running the registers to get an of age person to get a beer as underage kids cannot even touch a beer. A little frustrating when I only had maybe 5 minutes before I had to bowl again. Why are kids manning alcoholic areas of the center?

If you love bowling, ticket arcades, or laser tag, this place checks all the boxes. They constantly have great deals going on too. If you go on a Monday they have 75 cent wings and hotdogs, 50 cent shoe rental, and a lane is only 2 bucks an hour. It's absurdly cheap and it's a blast. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a fun group hangout spot.

Not a bad place. It looks like the bowling area is the nicest part. The arcade area is nice, but a little pricey, games range from $1.50 - $3.00. The Lazer rage area could use some help, we had issues with guns and sensors syncing. The arena looks a little cheesy, not fully finished(drywall) and some of the places were needing patching. Overall had a fun time.

Awesome family environment! So much to do in one place and it's inside out of the weather. My wife, my son, and I were able to go Saturday night. We played $20 worth of arcade games, did 3 rounds of bumper cars, 3 games of laser tag, shot 2 games of pool, ate pizza and had cokes, and 1 hour of bowling!! All for less than $100 total!! All that in one place, and it kept us entertained from 5:30pm to almost midnight!! What a value!! We can't wait to go back!!

This place stole 160$ from me. Their kiosk machines don't work, the employees don't know how to fix them, and one charged me for 160 in game cards. The machine never gave me the cards, the employees told me just to buy my cards at the register. So now they charged me 320$ instead of 160 and I told them when I was there, they said they couldn't give me back my money and that someone from their financial department would call me. They didn't call. Besides this almost half of their games are broken or will jus

We just had my daughter's birthday party at LTA this past weekend. It was great. The staff was very nice and helpful. The kids loved it. Good price and pizza.

Overall it was alright but there are so many games out of order and a few took money off our card but never worked. The food is just okay but order early because it takes awhile to get it. We started and finished our game of bowling before it came out. This was our first time bringing our son and they packed everyone in the building who wanted to bowl in the VIP room. There were so many lanes open in the regular area and I wish we could have just been over there. (They didn't ask if we wanted VIP, that's ju

Took 5 grandkids to bowl, eat lunch and bowl. Very long to get checked in, not because of a line, very few people were there. Lady at counter was not very friendly, we waited 10 minutes for someone to get multiple balls that were stuck to return. Then we went to order food, hotdogs came in reasonable time, but we had to go and ask for the popcorn, she had to make it. I don't think I will waste my time or money there again! Very poor customer service.

How fun is this place! The location is less than desirable because it's a bit hidden, but trust me, it's worth being sought out! I came on a Wednesday night, and had an absolute blast! I was surprised too, because it was packed! I believe it was kids night until 7 pm and then adult leagues from 7 - 9 pm. Either way, I bowled 2 games ($4.50 per game), and enjoyed 2 yummy drinks made with moonshine for $4 each, you can't beat that! It wasn't crowded and uncomfortable. I didn't feel rushed to bowl like it is

Very disappointed! We drove here for a funs girls night for one of our girls birthday. We were wanting to play 2 rounds of laser tag for the 6 of us. Sadly, we were told you don't do laser tag without reservations. ODD! It's not on the website and there are no signs that say any different. Even asked if we could go ahead and make a reservation for later that night and was told you dont do same day reservations for laser tag. This was also at 730. That's a good way to loose quick money ????? I could underst

Wish I could give four and half stars. The bathrooms were clean, staff was friendly, bowling lanes were available and the arcade was nice. But the pizza was awful. Fries and drinks were good, but the pizza was bad enough to outweigh the rest of the food. We'll definitely be back and have even discussed having a monthly get together with friends there.

Fantastic place! Huge arcade, laser tag, bowling alley and more. Staff is super nice.

Awesome place to bowl! Always very affordable (they have specials that sometimes aren't listed on website, so always call before you go), in a great location, food is actually decent and very reasonably priced, and friendly/helpful staff. Zero complaints from out family (one member said the lanes needed some wax, which is true, but average bowler won't notice). I really hope Covid doesn't kill this business, because they have a good thing going. Highly recommended!

I brought my churches Men's group here to bowl and the staff took great care of us from the moment we arrived! I made reservations with Genine and she was a joy to work with! We bowled for over two hours for $12 a person and we all had a blast! We will definitely be coming back soon! Excellent place to being any group!

I was told that this bowling center has new owners. Hopefully they will invest in it because it needs some work. The price of something to drink (soda) was eye-opening. Staff weren't very friendly and gathered awhile before they came to service me. It's not on the main road so you'll have to search for it if you're not familiar with the area.

Recently took some out of town guest here one Sunday afternoon-evening it had a small crowd, but plenty of lanes opened. Rates were low compared to other places I've gone to in Nashville & nearby. Love the arcade section as a bonus because even though bowling is the main attraction who doesn't love a little arcade action. Absolute fun for the whole family! I will definitely be back

We had such a fun time here for a fun day out for my mom's birthday. Went on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty easy getting to play what we wanted. The bumper cars were a blast, you had to wait the most for those. The bowling was great as well. They could use a few more games but overall we had a good time.

I did a Birthday party here for my 7 year old in March 2018. I booked my date and options online and showed up with my kid and a cake. They took the lead on the party and it was the equivalent to a day at the spa when it comes to dealing with a kids birthday party. The kids had fun and they were entertained. The adults were able to kick back and have food and drinks during the celebration. I highly reccomend this place if you need an idea for a kids Birthday party.

Bowling is great! Laser tag has uncomfortable gear you are required to wear on your head to play. The arcade is ok, but the winning tickets were replaced with a card (like a debit card) that sometimes doesn't load the points on the card.. not Neary as fun as the tickets.. and the prizes aren't worth trying to win. Overall not bad for birthday party packages or just bowling! Just maybe don't go for only the laser tag or arcade..

Excellent family quality time. Very attentive, respectful and seen our young ones working, make us feel very good, keep doing what you do. God will continue blessing the hard work...we will be back soon...

Would have scored this higher but greed took over here. I bought a 3 hour pass for 5 people which was expensive enough and we were limited on our games and couldn't collect tickets on any of the games. Laser tag arena was nicely set up. Bowling lanes lean hard! Over priced but my group made it fun

Bowling lanes are kept nice and clean by the staff. I had an unfortunate incident recently when my ball got stuck in the return. It received a small gash. The pro shop took good care of me with a very nice repair. Much appreciated.

We found them on Groupon!! Great price for 4 - shoes , 2 hour of bowling and a 20 game card!! Staff was friendly and courteous, location was easy to find , and inside and out was pretty clean . We had fun ?? , and do it was something different . Loved the lights for night ?? bowling !!!!

My family and I came to bowl for my sister's birthday. We found a coupon online for a free hour of bowling when you sign up for the VIP club. When we first came in we were not greeted by the lady at the front desk. We assumed she was a manager because she had a different color shirt on from the other employees. We stood by the desk awkwardly for a few minutes when she finally just looked at us. Didn't say anything just stared at us. I showed her the printed coupon and asked if we could use it. She still did

Love taking my kids here on rainy days. Bowling is always fun and the system they use for it is nice since the bumpers can go up and down based on the bowlers turn. The games seemed to have declined, lots of them were out of order. Ski ball had no balls in it (but still took out money - we got it back), the football game had to footballs (we got our money back from that too). Bowling is always a hit though. Price is a bit high though - especially since 1/2 the games are broken.

One of my favorite places to take my son. Great atmosphere clean decent prices and a great time. Fun for all ages there's arcade in the back that you can have fun with your kids, a Nerf gun style laser tag, and bowling lanes from wall to wall.

I went here for a work party and it's actually a pretty nice bowling alley and theirs a lot more there. They got a decent bar for the adults with decent food. Then an arcade for the kids as well I would definitely recommend. I'm actually taking my daughter here today for her birthday.

This place is alright. I got put in a VIP room where the seating makes no sense. The lanes are decent. They seem to cram people in as tightly as possible. Very pricey for bowling. I'll be going back because my options are limited. The drinks are alright. I wouldn't eat the food again.

LTA is a good enough place. The all in one package we got provided unlimited bowling and games for about 3 hours for $15 dollars. Check the website for which day this is offered. The bar is fully stocked but the bar tender doesn't seem very enthusiastic about being there or helping you. Also the bar area is off limits apparently. We had to go around the bar to a pickup window to order and pay for things, which seems like a waste to me. The beers were reasonable and the food we had was decent. We had a good

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
